Princess Kate has been undergoing chemotherapy following her diagnosis of cancer, and her assistants have confirmed that she will remain off work until her doctors believe she can resume her duties.

The Princess of Wales underwent stomach surgery on January 16th after being diagnosed with a non-malignant condition.

Kensington Palace never confirmed her initial diagnosis, but in a video message recorded in March, Kate revealed that later tests showed the presence of cancer.

The surgery was initially deemed a success, and at the time of her cancer announcement in March, the palace still viewed the operation as a triumph.

After about 13 days of recovery according to the royal residence timetable, she was visited by both Prince William and King Charles III. Initially, the plan was for her to be out of public duties until after Easter, which would likely extend into the latter part of April due to school holidays. Further tests post-surgery identified that cancer was indeed present, and Kate began chemotherapy. A palace representative later confirmed that the princess started a precautionary chemotherapy course in late February.

Kate was still recovering from the physical trauma of the surgery when she received the difficult news and began treatment. During this period, media speculation about her absence from public life was rampant, with no photos of her since Christmas. The palace’s initial announcement did not seem to prepare the public for her total absence, sparking a wave of social media speculation about her whereabouts.

On UK Mother’s Day, the royal residence released the first official picture of Kate since her surgery, but it was later revealed that the photo had been photoshopped, for which the princess apologized on X (formerly Twitter). This incident added fuel to the speculation on social media, with conspiracy theories about her absence becoming increasingly wild.

On March 22, Kensington Palace released a video message in which Kate announced her cancer diagnosis and that she had started chemotherapy. “In January, I underwent significant stomach surgery in London, and at that time it was believed that my condition was non-malignant. The surgery was successful, but tests after the operation found cancer was present. My medical team advised me to undergo a course of precautionary chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment. This has come as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing our best to process and manage this privately for our young family.”

Associates indicated that Kate and Prince William had delayed revealing her diagnosis publicly partly to protect their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The children were at school at the time, meaning their mother’s health would likely have been a topic on the playground. When Kate’s video was released, they had broken up for the Easter holidays, allowing the family to handle the news privately.

Princess Kate had not been cleared by her doctors to return to work at the time of the announcement. The palace stated, “Kensington Palace will provide information when the time is right and the princess can restart her duties. The princess will return to official duties when she is cleared to do so by her medical team.” The spokesperson added that she is in good spirits and focused on making a full recovery.

The exact date of Kate’s return to work is heavily dependent on medical advice, and there is no indication it will be anytime soon. After July, the royals will also be on their summer holiday at Balmoral, their home in Scotland.

Meghan Markle skipping UK visit with Prince Harry ‘prompts huge sigh of relief from Kensington Palace’ as King Charles is set to ‘reach out’ to Prince Archie on his birthday, royal expert claims

Meghan Markle skipping out on an upcoming visit to the UK with Prince Harry has ‘prompted a huge sigh of relief from Kensington Palace’ – as King Charles is set to ‘reach out’ to Prince Archie on his birthday, a royal expert has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex, whose son Archie is celebrating his fifth birthday today, will attend a service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Royal expert Tom Quinn has claimed that royal aides were quietly relieved that the Duchess of Sussex won’t be joining her husband for the UK leg of his trip – instead meeting Harry in Nigeria afterwards.

Speaking to The Mirror, the expert claimed: ‘At Kensington Palace there was a huge sigh of relief when it was confirmed that Meghan would not be accompanying her husband to the UK.’

What’s more, the expert also claimed King Charles is ‘desperate’ to have a relationship with Archie and Lilibet, who are being raised in California.

He also told The Mirror that the monarch ‘dislikes new technology’ and is ‘uncomfortable’ with the idea of making a video call.

The expert continued: ‘If he makes an ordinary telephone call to Harry it means he can have a quick word with Archie without the need to talk to Meghan.’

In April 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Archie video-called the late Queen to wish her a happy 94th birthday – with the couple reportedly instructing their spokesman to email a selection of hand-picked publications to share the news shortly afterwards.

Ahead of his visit this week, it was reported Prince Harry was ‘very keen’ to see his father during his trip to the UK.

The Duke is said to have ‘kept in regular contact’ with King Charles following his shock cancer diagnosis in February.

After recently announcing he was resuming his public duties, the King is set to attend Buckingham Palace’s first garden party of the year from 4pm on Wednesday.

The garden party and the Invictus Games ceremony are both expected to finish at around 6pm, allowing the two to meet in person for the first time since February, the Sun reports.

‘It’s clear he is keen to see his father as he continues his recovery and most people expect another reunion of some kind next week,’ the source said.

The expert also claimed King Charles (pictured) is 'desperate' to have a relationship with Archie and Lilibet, who are being raised in California

However, any such meeting will probably not include the attendance of Prince William.

On Thursday, William is likely to be away from London and he has engagements in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly on Friday.

Nigerians are ‘excited’ to welcome their ‘daughter’ Meghan Markle for a royal visit with her husband next month after Prince Harry attends an event in London.

Social media users with links to the country said they were ‘overwhelmed with joy’ and promised a ‘celebration’ to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

It comes after Meghan revealed in 2022 that she found out she was ’43 per cent Nigerian’ following genealogy research carried out ‘a couple of years’ prior.

The couple will head to Nigeria after being invited by the African country’s chief of defence staff, who met Harry last September at the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.

Daniel Egwu, who lives in Enugu in Nigeria, tweeted: ‘I’m excited about this news! Our beloved sister, Meghan and our brother-in-law, Harry are welcome to Nigeria!’

Another X user wrote: ‘Harry and Meghan are coming to Nigeria in May! We cannot wait to welcome them! And our good sis is coming home for the first time. We have been waiting since she discovered she’s a daughter of the soil.’

Meghan’s Nigerian heritage was referenced by Harry at the opening ceremony of the Dusseldorf Invictus Games last September, after Nigeria joined Colombia and Israel in sending their first-ever delegation to the event.

‘We’re really excited to have new nations join us. Let’s hear it for Colombia, Israel and Nigeria,’ Harry told the crowd at the Merkur Spiel-Arena.

‘Now, I’m not saying we play favourites in our home, but since my wife discovered she is of Nigerian descent, it’s likely to get a little bit more competitive this year!’

Prince William Shares Health Update Amidst Kate Middleton’s Chemotherapy; What Is Preventative Chemotherapy?

In a rare public comment, Prince William recently shared an encouraging update about his wife, Kate Middleton, amidst her preventative chemotherapy treatment.

Speaking during his visit to the Isles of Scilly, an archipelago off the Cornish coast in southwestern England, the Prince assured well-wishers that Kate is “doing well.”

    Kate Middleton

Prince William’s visit to the Isles of Scilly, where he laid the foundation stone for a new hospital with inpatient treatment beds and a maternity suite, marked his first since becoming the Duke of Cornwall. During this visit, Tracy Smith, an administrator at St Mary’s Community Hospital, inquired about Kate’s health. “I asked William about his wife Kate and he said, ‘she’s doing well, thanks,’ and I suggested they might like to come for a visit and bring the children,” Smith recounted.

In a light-hearted moment, Prince William responded, “The children are very jealous that I am here. Maybe we might come later in the year.” This comment reflects the family’s hopeful outlook despite the ongoing health challenges.

Prince William also received a ‘Get well soon’ card for his father, King Charles, and Kate Middleton from Matron Lynda McHale, acknowledging the royal family’s resilience in the face of health adversities.

Understanding Preventative Chemotherapy: Adjuvant Therapy Explained
Kate Middleton’s announcement in March about her preventive chemotherapy treatment has sparked widespread curiosity and concern. This form of treatment, known medically as adjuvant therapy, plays a critical role in cancer care.

    What is Adjuvant Therapy?
Adjuvant therapy refers to additional cancer treatment given after the primary treatment, such as surgery, to lower the risk of the cancer returning. It is a vital part of comprehensive cancer care, aiming to eliminate any remaining cancer cells that could not be removed surgically.

Dr Uma Dangi, Consultant Medical Oncology, Fortis Hospital Mulund & Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi, explains that adjuvant chemotherapy is used to treat cancer that has already been diagnosed. The therapy is designed to work alongside surgical interventions to target any microscopic cancer cells left behind. “Chemotherapy is preventive in the sense that when a patient is treated after surgery with chemotherapy, the hope is that surgery leaves behind only a few microscopic cells that chemotherapy can help clean up,” Dr. Dangi states.

    When is Adjuvant Therapy Used?
Adjuvant therapy is employed in the treatment plans of various cancer types and is usually administered after primary treatments like surgery or radiation. The decision to use adjuvant therapy depends on factors such as the type and stage of cancer, and the patient’s overall health.

The therapy may involve chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a combination of both. The main goal is to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence and improve long-term survival rates. For instance, in breast cancer treatment, adjuvant therapy can be crucial in preventing the disease from returning.

Potential Side Effects of Adjuvant Chemotherapy
While adjuvant chemotherapy is effective, it does come with potential side effects. Common issues include fatigue, nausea, and peripheral neuropathy, which is characterized by tingling sensations in the hands and feet. Hair loss is also a potential side effect, although methods like cold caps can help mitigate this.

Dr. Dangi notes that advancements in supportive care have significantly improved the management of these side effects. Medications are available to alleviate symptoms and enhance patient comfort, although some side effects, such as neuropathy, may persist beyond the treatment period.

The Role of Preventative Chemotherapy in Cancer Care
Preventative or adjuvant chemotherapy is pivotal in enhancing cancer treatment outcomes. By targeting residual cancer cells post-surgery, it acts as a safeguard against recurrence, thereby improving the overall prognosis for patients. Continuous research and advancements in supportive care are making adjuvant therapy more effective and tolerable, offering renewed hope for patients.

In summary, Kate Middleton’s public health journey has shed light on the critical role of preventative chemotherapy in cancer care. Prince William’s recent updates provide a positive outlook, reflecting the resilience and strength of the royal family. Understanding adjuvant therapy’s purpose, application, and side effects is essential for appreciating the complexities of cancer treatment and the advancements that continue to offer hope to many.

Denise Welch tells Loose Women guest ‘don’t disrespect me’ in explosive Meghan Markle row

A discussion about the Royal Family on Loose Women descended into chaos when Denise Welch told a guest not to ‘disrespect her’.

On Monday’s episode of the ITV programme, royal correspondent and the late Queen Elizabeth’s former press spokesperson Dickie Arbiter appeared to speak about the one-year anniversary of King Charles’ coronation.

However, things took a turn when he mentioned the strained relations between Prince Harry and his family.

‘Harry has been rubbishing his family since they walked out in 2020,’ he said.

Jumping in, Denise asked him if he believed if there was a reason Harry ‘did such a thing’ after his interview with Oprah Winfrey was mentioned, as well as his explosive autobiography Spare.

Commenting how she believed the King ‘ruined a lot of’ Princess Diana’s life, Denise then mentioned how Meghan Markle was ‘continually trashed by the media, including by yourself’.

As the studio audience began clapping, Denise raised her voice and declared: ‘I am just sick to death of the bashing that this woman gets.

‘Hardly any of you mention Andrew and yet we continually berate this woman every day. I think when her children grow up and see what she goes through, I think Harry had a bloody good reason to write that book in my opinion.’

Responding, Dickie said he ‘wasn’t going to argue’ with Denise as that wasn’t the aim of his appearance but added that he believed she had ‘been reading too many tabloid stories’.

Hitting back, Denise was not impressed and told him not to ‘disrespect’ her.

‘I have read lots of stories about Meghan before and I think it is a disgrace the way she has been treated,’ she said.

After Dickie said the way Harry and Meghan had treated the Royal Family was ‘disgraceful’ and said the couple ‘didn’t have to walk out’, Coleen Nolan tried to diffuse the situation.

However, Denise was outraged: ‘Don’t have a guest on and… I can say what I like Coleen!’

Dickie then said that he would like to see a reunion between the King and his youngest son, with the conversation then calming down.

As the segment wrapped up, he and Denise then kissed each other on the cheek.

There was a mixed reaction to what unfolded from viewers, with some praising Denise and others saying she should have held her tongue.

‘Denise entitled to her opinion, but there’s a time and a place to let rip,’ Katie posted on X.

‘Denise Welch does not have the ability to listen or speak to people in a respectful way. Dickie Arbiter acted with class and everyone like he said is entitled to their own opinion. Just not in the appalling way she did,’ Chris shared.

‘If Dickie hadn’t rubbished Harry and Meghan, Denise wouldn’t have needed to step in and give the other side of the debate. Good on her,’ Tina added.

A long-time supporter of Harry and Meghan, this time last year Denise declared that she would prefer to ‘declare my allegiance’ to the young couple rather than the monarch.

During an episode of Loose Women in which the panel discussed the public being invited to ‘cry out and swear allegiance’ to King Charles and Queen Camilla, Denise said that while she ‘has nothing against the Royal Family’ she wanted to instead pledge allegiance to Harry and Meghan.

Celebrities are now seeing Meghan Markle “for who she is” following her three-day visit to Nigeria alongside her husband, Prince Harry. A columnist has hit out at the Duchess of Sussex and her “unsuccessful” popularity attempts.

Daily Mail columnist, Maureen Callahan, told GB News the “de facto royal tour” of Nigeria only “serves to knock them down further and further”.

In the West African country, the Sussexes championed their Archewell Foundation’s mental health initiatives for young people and promoted the Invictus Games which Nigeria joined for the first time last year.

Despite their attempt at trying to be seen, the columnist claims Meghan Markle has not been present at high-profile events in America, such as the Met Gala, despite Meghan’s reported connections with fashion mogul, Anna Wintour.

Maureen also told the GB News host that Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, is an “avowed monarchist” and claimed Wintour would “not have submitted an invitation the Montecito way”.

She then recalled a recent Vogue write-up which was published ahead of the Met Gala, which appeared to “throw shade” at Meghan. The columnist told TV host Nana Akua: “Vogue did an incredible write-up right before the gala of a dinner that Gwyneth Paltrow hosted at her Montecito estate, so a neighbour of Harry and Meghan.

“It was a Goop collaboration, and among her guest list were Oprah Winfrey and Ted Sarandos. So here’s Meghan attempting to get her little lifestyle brand off the ground, and Goop is clearly a model for her.”

The columnist added: “It’s further proof to any doubtful Briton that we here in America see Meghan Markle for exactly who she is.”

A first glimpse of the re-brand and new business venture from Meghan Markle was teased with pictures of a jar of strawberry jam labelled under her new brand ‘American Riviera Orchard’ which she sent to friends and influencers.

The release of strawberry jam from Meghan’s brand seems to fit with the couple’s latest Netflix plans. Meghan is going to launch a Netflix show which will “celebrate the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining, and friendship”.

It is not known how much items from the new lifestyle brand will cost, but the first social media video posted about her brand evoked a sense of the couple’s home in California and showed jam jars given as gifts in sunny baskets of lemons.

Harry and Meghan’s latest projects seem to be moving away from a previous focus on their time as working royals, as they film their next ventures for the streaming giant, Netflix.

Meghan Markle is set to avoid yet another UK return with Prince Harry next week as he attends an event to mark 10 years of the Invictus Games

Meghan Markle’s strained relationship with the Royal Family is showing no signs of subsiding as the Duchess once again misses out on a return to the UK.

It’s been confirmed the former Suits star will not be joining her husband Prince Harry when she returns to England for the 10th year anniversary celebration of the Invictus Games next week. Instead, she will be staying stateside with their children before she heads to Nigeria with the Duke shortly after.

With the former Suits star’s fragile relationship with Princess Kate well known, a resurfaced clip of her talking about their differences has been shared online. However, at the time, it appeared as though Meghan was hailing the “different personalities” of herself, Harry, Kate and Prince William.

The message came during a joint appearance with Prince Harry and Waleses at the Royal Foundation Forum in 2018. Meghan said: “Thank goodness it’s such differing personalities and that everyone’s very communicative because that’s how you can really see bigger change. If everyone’s thinking the same way, how are you going to push the envelope? You know, how are you really going to break through in a different sort of mindset?”

She continued: “Changing mindsets and all of that is part of this communication that we have constantly. So, I think it’s part of the reason we’ve had so much success with Heads Together and whatever we end up working on moving forward.”

Things have dramatically soured since those words and now Meghan is seen to be actively avoiding any interaction with the Royal Family. It’s claimed her decision to steer clear of the UK next week shows she wants to “isolate herself from Buckingham Palace”.

Meghan Markle Reportedly Wants to Have Kate Middleton on Her Podcast

PR expert Ryan McCormick says she is more focused on her desire to establish an “independent presence” with this new venture, away from the Royal Family. “Meghan choosing not to join Harry in the UK may have to do with her focusing more efforts on her new company American Riviera Orchard,” he said.

“At the same time, the Duchess may wish to further isolate herself from Buckingham Palace. Why? Markle could be tired out from the Royals or see the close association as an obstacle towards further establishing an independent business and personal presence in the US.”

Prince William: Taking on Responsibility During Kate Middleton and King Charles’ Recovery

As Kate Middleton recuperates from her recent abdominal surgery and King Charles undergoes treatment for cancer, it’s clear that Prince William has taken on a significant amount of responsibility.

He has stepped up as a caring father and husband, taking care of both Kate and their three children, while also assisting his father with royal duties.

Despite the challenges that lie ahead, Prince William will continue to take on more engagements as both his father and wife recover.

Recently, he attended the BAFTA Film Awards without Kate by his side, emphasizing his commitment to fulfilling his obligations.

Kate Middleton Became Confident as a Royal Thanks to 1 Piece of Advice ...

While there hasn’t been much information about Kate’s recovery, Prince William provided a heartwarming update on her health when speaking with Elaine Bedell, the chief executive of the Southbank Centre. The prince’s words reflect his deep concern and love for his wife.

Prince William and the entire royal family have faced numerous challenges in recent years, including the well-publicized feud with Prince Harry and Meghan. In addition, the passing of the Queen and King Charles assuming the throne have brought significant adjustments to the royal family.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have taken on more responsibility and royal duties, but their lives took an unexpected turn in January. Kate underwent abdominal surgery, leading to her hospitalization at The London Clinic for nearly two weeks. Prince William visited her regularly, but he also had to shoulder additional responsibilities as a father, taking care of the children’s school runs, after-school activities, and sharing parenting duties with the family nanny.

At the same time, King Charles was undergoing treatment for an enlarged prostate. Shortly after, the shocking news of his cancer diagnosis shook fans worldwide. As Prince William has spent his life preparing to become king, his responsibilities as both a husband and a son have grown in the face of these health scares.

Royal biographer Angela Levin believes Prince William is facing a difficult time. Alongside his duties as a father and husband, he must also juggle his royal obligations and assist his father, King Charles. It’s clear that the strained relationship with his brother, Prince Harry, adds to his challenges.

According to Levin, Prince William may feel incredibly lonely, as he has distanced himself from Prince Harry due to rude and unkind behavior towards William and his wife. The loss of their mother, the recent passing of their grandmother, and the illness of their father and wife have further isolated Prince William in his responsibilities.

After her 13-day stay at The London Clinic, Kate Middleton was finally able to return home to Adelaide Cottage, where she reunited with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. During her hospitalization, the children used FaceTime to stay connected with their mother, respecting her choice not to have them visit.

Although there haven’t been many updates on Kate’s health and recovery, her ability to travel to Anmer Hall for a family trip during the kids’ half-term is a positive sign. Norfolk’s accessibility and wide-open spaces provide the perfect environment for the family to find solace and recovery.

While attending London’s Air Ambulance Charity Gala Dinner, Prince William expressed his gratitude for the kind messages of support for Kate and his father. Additionally, during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, he assured one of the recipients of honors that Kate’s recovery was progressing well.

Prince William’s presence at the BAFTA Film Awards without Kate attracted attention. He apologized for her absence, indicating her love for the event. The prince’s words reflected his struggles as he acknowledged the challenges that have preoccupied his mind during this difficult time.

Royal expert Angela Levin commends Prince William’s conduct during the BAFTA event, highlighting his contrast with his brother, Prince Harry. She praises his dignified demeanor, his commitment to his duties, and his dedication to providing a satisfying experience for those involved in the film industry.

Levin concludes that Prince William’s shining example makes him a brilliant heir to the throne. The prince’s ability to compartmentalize his personal concerns and focus on his responsibilities demonstrates his strength of character and dedication to his role.

Meghan Markle is reportedly keen to follow in the footsteps of her sister-in-law Kate Middleton when she starts her new series for Netflix.

Meghan Markle has reportedly taken a leaf out of Kate Middleton’s parenting book for her upcoming Netflix show.

The Duchess of Sussex announced in March that she would be launching her own lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, with a focus on homewares and kitchen accessories, as well as nut butters, jams and conserves.

It was later revealed that Meghan would feature in a new cooking show on Netflix, as part of her and Prince Harry’s whopping £80 million ($100 million) five-year deal with the streaming giant, which would spotlight her new business venture.

Despite the frosty relationship with her sister-in-law, it is said that the Duchess has been “inspired” by Kate’s approach to parenting; specifically, her desire to have her and Prince William’s three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – alongside her at public appearances.

Meghan and Kate initially had a warm friendship when Harry introduced the former Suits actress to his brother and beloved sister-in-law, but their close bond later deteriorated.

At the time, it was claimed that Meghan had reduced Kate to tears following a disagreement over Princess Charlotte’s flower girl dress, which Kate felt was too large and needed adjustments.

A heated exchange ensued, and palace insiders reported that Kate was left weeping after Meghan was purportedly discourteous towards her.

However, in the bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, the Duchess of Sussex countered by saying it was actually Kate who made her cry, and she had “owned it and apologised”.

In an endearing change of heart, Meghan is said to be taking a leaf out of Kate’s book regarding motherhood and aims to feature her and Harry’s offspring – Prince Archie, aged 4, and Princess Lilibet, aged 2 – in her upcoming Netflix series.

A source confided to OK! magazine that the 42-year-old is keen to emulate the Princess of Wales’ approach to gradually introducing their children to the public eye.

“She would love for Archie and Lilibet to make guest appearances on her new show as being a mum is a huge part of her life and wants to show off that part of her world, just like Kate does occasionally when she takes her children to work events,” they revealed

However, Harry is still “traumatised” by the intrusion into his childhood, as well as into his adult life, and the source claims he wants to keep his young children out of the spotlight, which has left the couple at odds over the Netflix show.

“They’re in a completely different situation and Archie and Lili are never going to be anonymous and ‘normal’ kids because of who their parents are, so Meghan is hoping Harry will get on board with her plans soon,” the source added.

King Charles shielding Kate Middleton, family risks being read ‘riot act’ if they utter negative word: expert
King Charles is fiercely protective of his “beloved” daughter-in-law as she battles cancer alongside him.

Christopher Andersen, author of “The King,” claimed to Fox News Digital that the British monarch has been devoted to providing support for the Princess of Wales behind palace doors.

Middleton, who announced she was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer, has been keeping a low profile as she undergoes chemotherapy.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace previously confirmed to Fox News Digital that the mother of three will return to official duties when “she is cleared to do so by her medical team.”

King Charles III is fiercely protective of daughter-in-law Kate Middleton, says Christopher Andersen, author of “The King.”

“There are those inside and outside the palace who have criticized Kate over the years [before her diagnosis] for supposedly not shouldering her share of the royal burden, for not going to as many ribbon cuttings, hospital openings and plaque unveilings as the late Queen Elizabeth II, the king or Princess Anne, for instance,” Andersen explained.

“It has always been Kate’s choice to prioritize her children’s well-being over royal duties,” he shared. “In the past, Charles has remained silent about this and allowed the sniping from the sidelines to continue. But no more. Now the king brooks no criticism of Kate, period.”

“Other royal family members and courtiers alike know that they risk being read the Riot Act by the king if they dare utter a negative syllable about Kate,” Andersen alleged. “Charles has also made it clear that everyone should stand down in terms of when and how she returns to a full public schedule.”

In February, Buckingham Palace announced Charles had been diagnosed with a form of cancer and was undergoing treatment. A “separate issue of concern” was identified during the monarch’s “benign prostate enlargement” procedure at the London Clinic.

“Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” the palace said in a statement at the time.

In a video shared in March, the Princess of Wales, 42, revealed that she, too, is battling a form of cancer. Her announcement followed weeks of speculation about her health and whereabouts.

Middleton asked for “time, space and privacy” while being treated for an unspecified type of cancer that was discovered after what she described as “major” surgery.

Charles said he is “so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did,” according to a statement released by Buckingham Palace. The king, who received prostate treatment in the same hospital and at the same time Kate had her surgery, remained in the “closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law.”

The king and Queen Camilla “will continue to offer their love and support to the whole family through this difficult time,” the palace said.

Andersen alleged that Charles was privately impacted by Middleton’s illness.

“Charles was moved to tears by Kate’s stunning video announcement that she has cancer,” Andersen alleged. “The king sees her as, in a word, brave. He also knows better than anyone that the future of the monarchy is to a considerable extent in her hands. She is not only the wife of a future king but the mother of a future monarch. Kate has also shown herself to be unswervingly loyal to the royal family and above reproach – things he can’t always say about other Windsors.”

“The king showed his appreciation several weeks ago by bestowing on Kate the highest accolade he could, making her the first royal ever appointed to the Order of the Companions of Honour,” Andersen said. “Nobody understands more fully than King Charles just how difficult fighting cancer can be – the toll it takes emotionally and physically. The king has made it clear that whatever Kate feels she needs, she gets.”

Author Christopher Andersen says King Charles is ensuring that no one “utters” a negative word about his daughter-in-law.

In her speech, Middleton assured the public that she looks forward to returning to royal duties – when she is ready.

“My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I look forward to being back when I am able. But for now, I must focus on making a full recovery,” the princess said at the time.

Charles has since returned to public-facing duties. He and Camilla will be hosting the emperor and empress of Japan for a state visit in June.

“He may be chomping at the bit to resume his duties, but the king understands that Kate may take a little more time or a lot,” Andersen added.

Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, alleged to Fox News Digital that the king is protective of both of “his girls” – the Princess of Wales and his wife.

“Catherine, the Princess of Wales, is what he considers the daughter he never had,” said Schofield. “Catherine has been such an important part of the family for decades now. She is hard-working, focused, loving, and respected for her contributions all over the world.”

The former Prince Charles kisses Kate Middleton on the cheek as they arrive for the world premiere of the James Bond film “No Time to Die” at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sept. 28, 2021.

“One blatant example of the king going to great lengths to protect the Princess of Wales is the timing of the announcement of his surgery for an enlarged prostate,” Schofield explained. “The palace wanted to take the heat off the Princess of Wales who had just announced a planned abdominal surgery. After Catherine revealed her cancer scare… the king was the first to publicly support her.… When King Charles gave Catherine, Princess of Wales, the title ‘Royal Companion of The Order of the Companions of Honour,’ that marked a first in British royal family history.”

Charles is known to be very fond of Middleton. During his state visit to Kenya in 2023, the monarch recalled how Prince William proposed to Middleton in the country in 2010. He called her “my beloved daughter-in-law” at his address.

Middleton is also known for showing affection towards the king. During public engagements, the pair exchange hugs and kisses on the cheek.

The king “has always had a very good bond with her,” author Sally Bedell Smith previously told People magazine.

“She’s interested in artistic things, and she appreciates art and culture, so [she] has an affinity with the king over that.”

Smith, who penned “George VI and Elizabeth: The Marriage That Saved the Monarchy,” said the king and princess now have another shared bond over their cancer diagnosis.

Several royal experts told Fox News Digital that Kate Middleton is quietly working behind the scenes with King Charles’ support.

“Obviously, they have this in common and can only bring them closer,” she noted. “It is a source of reassurance and consolation for both of them.”

In her announcement, Middleton assured the public that “I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal in my mind, body and spirit.”

“Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance, too, as is the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you,” Middleton added.

Princess Kate bringing Prince William into line “immediately” with a firm look has resurfaced in a clip on TikTok from an overseas visit right before Prince Harry met Meghan Markle.

The Prince and Princess of Wales joined Prince Harry and King Charles III for commemorations marking 100 years since the First World War Battle of the Somme in July 2016.

During the visit Kate and William were walking together when the princes appeared to become distracted, prompting the princess to shoot her husband a look over her shoulder.

And as soon as she said the word “William” he fell back into line behind her. The moment caught attention on TikTok after it was posted with the message: “The way he followed her immediately & THE LOOK KATE GAVE

The visit to the Thiepval Memorial, in Albert, France, on July 1, 2016, was naturally a somber one and Kate told bystanders how moving she found it.

Quoted in the Daily Mirror, Poppy Hodgson, from Hermitage Academy in Chester-le-Street, England, said at the time: “She [Kate] said it was quite emotional being here and that they were really enjoying their visit. She said it was very moving.”

However, it also came at a pivotal moment for the royal family, right before Harry met Meghan Markle for the first time.

He wrote in his book, Spare: “I’d just come back from a trip with Pa, Willy and Kate to France, where we’d marked the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, honored the British dead, and I’d read a haunting poem, ‘Before Action.’

“It was published by a soldier two days before he’d died in action. It ended: “Help me to die, O Lord.”

“Reading it out, I realized I didn’t want to die. I wanted to live. A fairly staggering revelation for me just then.”

Motivating Harry’s new hunger for life was a video he saw in his Instagram feed of Meghan with his friend Violet von Westenholz: “There was an energy about her, a wild joy and playfulness. There was something in the way she smiled, the way she interacted with Violet, the way she gazed into the camera.

“Confident. Free. She believed life was one grand adventure, I could see that. What a privilege it would be, I thought, to join her on that journey.

“I got all of that from her face. Her luminous, angelic face. I’d never had a firm
opinion on that burning question: Is there just one person on this earth for each of
us? But in that moment I felt there might be only one face for me. This one.”
