Prince William is thought to be shutting out his brother Prince Harry from succession talks as William is ‘adamant’ that the Duke of Sussex can not support the royal family.

Harry, who stepped down as a working royal in 2020, is said to have “zero chance” of being asked to help whilst his father King Charles undergoes cancer treatment and may need other senior royals to step in. Harry, whilst keen to support his family, is thought to be excluded from family planning with William leading the decision making.

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, royal expert and author Tom Quinn said: “As a non working royal Harry is also no longer a counsellor of state and he is not being kept in the loop because there is zero chance he will be asked to help out. William is adamant that he does not want Harry involved in any aspect of succession discussions or in planning for counsellors of state to help out if and when it becomes necessary. And as the next in line what William wants William gets.”

Quinn also suggested Charles’ plans centre around the Prince of Wales. He told The Mirror William is at the heart of the succession planning”, but “no one trusts Harry”. He explained: “Charles is also aware that, as future king, William is at the heart of the succession planning that is taking place right now – officials had assumed Charles would remain healthy at least into his mid-eighties before succession planning would need to begin but in fact it has now begun and indicates perhaps that Charles’ cancer is more dangerous than we have been led to believe.

“Succession planning is highly secret and no one trusts Harry to be part of it for the simple reason that if he feels in any way slighted or not given what he feels he deserves he will run straight to the media.”

The King’s illness is believed to have led to his succession planning, with a “highly unlikely situation” involving Harry and Meghan returning to royal duties. Royal expert Jennie Bond said Harry would likely “uproot his family” if he was called upon.

Tickets were offered for sale online for what would have been the princess’ first officially-announced public engagement since her surgery.

Hours later the Ministry of Defence was forced to remove from the website any mention of the princess’ involvement after news of the June 8 run-through was not signed off by the palace. Royal officials were caught unaware by the announcement, leaving aides to insist they were solely responsible for confirming diary arrangements for the Prince and Princess of Wales

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “The timelines provided on the Princess’ hospital stay and planned return to royal duties were very clear from the outset. Nothing has changed.” The palace reiterated a previous statement given last week saying: “The princess continues to be doing well.”

Meanwhile, Kate’s uncle Gary Goldsmith – who is currently appearing on the new series of Celebrity Big Brother on ITV1 – also hit out at wild conspiracy theories about the royal’s absence from the public eye – and says she needs “space” to recover. Asked what he makes of wild conspiracy theories surrounding his niece’s health, Gary said: “I think they should leave her alone right now because there’s a reason why they’re [family] not talking about it and they are giving her a little bit of space.

“It’s not too overwhelming, and it’s clear her role comes naturally to her. Kate always has strong eye contact with anyone she’s communicating with and never comes across as slouched. She rarely crosses her arms either – and that is normally a giveaway of someone feeling out of place with a lack of confidence.

Kate’s voice tone and pitch are important too. In early interviews of Kate, her voice is quite low in volume and tone. Her voice is now a lot louder and higher in pitch, which suggests quite a change in her confidence. It’s a completely different Kate from before.

“Kate’s walking is a lot more confident, too. She doesn’t look down at all – she looks straight ahead with her shoulders back. It shows she isn’t intimidated by others and is in a good place with herself.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle issued warning over future ‘faux royal tours’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were warned that their “faux royal tours” abroad could “deepen” the ongoing rift with the Royal Family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex embarked on what was described by many as a “successful” three-day trip to Nigeria earlier this month to promote mental health for soldiers and empower young people.

And they also hinted that there could be more tours on the horizon after Harry told PEOPLE that it’s “hugely important for us to meet directly with people, supporting our causes and listening, in order to bring about solutions, support and positive change.”

But now a PR expert has claimed trips of this nature could have an impact on the Montecito couple’s already strained relationship with the Royal Family.

PR specialist Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR told the Mirror: “These faux-royal tours could deepen their rift with the Royal Family, if not handled correctly.
