William SHARED IMPORTANT UPDATE on Catherine’s Health Condition Amid Chemotherapy Treatment
    During a visit to St.

Mary’s Community Hospital in the Isles of Scilly on May 10th, Prince William shared significant updates regarding Princess Catherine’s health.

This marked the first substantial news since her public absence began around Christmas due to her cancer diagnosis and subsequent chemotherapy treatments.

The Prince of Wales’ visit aimed to draw attention to healthcare challenges faced by remote communities in the UK, but it was his unexpected update on Catherine’s condition that captured headlines.

Princess Catherine, known for her grace, strength, and dedication to charitable causes, has been away from public engagements since Christmas. Her absence has sparked concern among royal fans. During his hospital visit, Prince William provided a cautiously optimistic update, revealing that Catherine has been responding positively to chemotherapy. He emphasized her remarkable strength and resilience, expressing gratitude for the global support and well-wishes that have been a great comfort to their family.

Prince William highlighted the importance of family support during such challenging times. He spoke about the Royal Family’s closeness and their collective efforts to support Catherine through her treatment. The couple’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have been a constant source of love and encouragement, playing a crucial role in Catherine’s ongoing battle with cancer.

Additionally, Prince William mentioned that he and his family might return to the Isles of Scilly for a vacation later in the summer, suggesting that Catherine’s condition might be improving enough to allow for travel and family time.

The public responded with relief and support, flooding social media with messages of encouragement for Princess Catherine and the Royal Family. The hashtag #StandWithKate trended, showcasing global solidarity with the princess in her fight against cancer. Prince William’s openness about Catherine’s health struggles serves a broader purpose, raising awareness and destigmatizing cancer.

Prince William’s visit also underscored the importance of accessible healthcare, especially in remote areas like the Isles of Scilly. St. Mary’s Community Hospital, though small, plays a vital role in providing medical services to the island’s residents. The Prince’s engagement with healthcare professionals highlighted the challenges they face and the need for continued investment in healthcare infrastructure.

While the road ahead for Princess Catherine remains challenging, Prince William’s update instills hope. The resilience shown by the Duchess, coupled with the support from her family and the public, suggests a path forward filled with optimism and strength.

Prince Harry Reveals Plans for the Future — and Why He and Meghan Markle ‘Look Forward to Traveling More’

The Duke of Sussex tells PEOPLE what drives him and Meghan to make a difference

Prince Harry knows the importance of personal connection when it comes to his and wife Meghan Markle’s work.

Speaking to PEOPLE on the couple’s three-day trip to Nigeria, the Duke of Sussex says, “It is hugely important for us to meet directly with people, supporting our causes and listening, in order to bring about solutions, support and positive change.”

KOLA SULAIMON/AFP via Getty Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at Lightway Academy in Abuja, Nigeria, on May 10, 2024.

Looking to the future, Harry and Meghan are anticipating more travel opportunities to further their initiatives.

“There’s only so much one can do from home and over Zoom, so we look forward to traveling more because the work matters. Whether it’s the Archewell Foundation, Invictus or any of our other causes, there will always be reasons to meet the people at the heart of our work,” the duke says.
Harry and Meghan traveled to Nigeria to champion their Archewell Foundation’s mental health initiatives for young people and to promote the Invictus Games, which Nigeria joined for the first time last year.

“I’m so happy with the growth of Invictus and to include Nigeria,” the Duke of Sussex says. “You know what Africa means to me over the years. It is a very, very special place, and to be able to include Nigeria now [in Invictus], I’m very happy.”

The Duke of Sussex also recalled his emotional visit to a military hospital in Kaduna, which PEOPLE joined, and the “very low morale” he felt among the approximately 50 men there.

Out of those 50, there were two guys who were smiley and happy. And they were the two who were in Germany [at the Düsseldorf Invictus Games] last year,” Harry says, emphasizing the “transformative power” of sport.

“That experience of knowing what life post-injury is like gives people so much hope. And hope, hope, hope is a huge part of this,” he says.

For Meghan, the trip also brought her closer to her roots. In 2022, the duchess discovered through a genealogy test that she is 43 percent Nigerian.

“It was incredibly memorable and special,” Meghan says of their time in Nigeria. “That alone is the best souvenir to take with us — all the memories we’ve made.”

The Duchess of Sussex then thought of her son Prince Archie, 5, and daughter Princess Lilibet, who turns 3 in June.

“It’s what we see in our own children — to give them that promise and excitement for their futures,” Meghan tells PEOPLE.

LONDON (AP) — King Charles III has unveiled the first portrait of the monarch completed since he assumed the throne, a vivid image that depicts him in the bright red uniform of the Welsh Guards against a background of similar hues.

The larger-than-life painting by artist Jonathan Yeo captures the king with his hands clasped atop the hilt of his sword and a butterfly flitting above his right shoulder. Charles got his first look at the canvas Tuesday at Buckingham Palace.

Yeo began the portrait more than a year before Charles became king, with a sitting at the then-Prince of Wales’ Highgrove estate in June 2021. The last sitting took place in November 2023 at Clarence House, one of the king’s residences in London.
“When I started this project, His Majesty The King was still His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, and much like the butterfly I’ve painted hovering over his shoulder, this portrait has evolved as the subject’s role in our public life has transformed,’’ Yeo said.

The portrait, which is approximately 8 1/2 by 6 1/2 feet, will be on display at the Philip Mould Gallery in London from May 16 to June 14. From the end of August, it will be displayed at Drapers’ Hall across town.

The portrait was commissioned to celebrate Charles’ 50 years as a member of the Drapers’ Company, which was set up more than 600 years ago as a trade association for wool merchants.

Philanthropy came to be part of their mission and the company is now a grant-giving body.

EXCLUSIVE: Harry and Meghan are planning more royal tours, acting like they are half in, half out, which is causing great concern

Royal Family ‘nightmare’ as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘ignore late Queen’s wish’

EXCLUSIVE: Harry and Meghan are planning more royal tours, acting like they are half in, half out, which is causing great concern, according to one author.

Prince Harry and Meghan are doing exactly what Queen Elizabeth II asked them not to do – conducting royal tours as if they are representatives of the monarchy, according to one royal editor.

The Duke of Sussex met with Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the Royal Family, including the future King Charles and Prince William, asking if he and his wife could step back from their responsibilities as senior working royals. The Sussexes floated the idea of continuing some royal engagements, but the answer was a firm no.

Just last week, Harry and Meghan were in Nigeria for three days, with royal watchers referring to it as a “quasi royal tour.”

Tom Sykes, royal editor for The Daily Beast, told The Express: “Harry and Meghan have been explicit that they are planning more trips like the one to Nigeria.”

He added: “This is a nightmare for the royal family and their aides because royal tours are part of government foreign policy.”

“This is exactly what Queen Elizabeth II was seeking to avoid when she said they couldn’t be half in and half out of the family, which was their original proposal.”

The Sussexes’ Nigeria trip has been deemed a “template,” and according to Harry himself, this is just the first of many, it’s being reported.

Mr Sykes said of these plans: “The concern is that Harry and Meghan, as one source told me, have different priorities to the royals. Put simply, they are interested in promoting their own projects rather than UK inc.”

The Nigeria trip was meant to promote the Invictus Games, but the visit went beyond the sporting event with Harry and Meghan visiting a school and Harry inspecting troops at a military base in scenes reminiscent of an official royal visit.

Mr Sykes explained why this can be confusing to the general public: “If they were thought of as private citizens — like, say, Angelina Jolie — that wouldn’t be an issue.”

“But to 99% of people outside the U.K., Harry and Meghan are every bit as representative of the royal family as William and Kate are.”

New Kate Middleton portrait in Tatler sparks furious backlash after leaving fans horrified

A brand new portrait of the Princess of Wales is to feature on the cover of the new edition of Tatler magazine to honour her “courage and dignity” – but many royal fans have been left baffled by her depiction

A brand new portrait of the Princess of Wales has left royal fans horrified, with many claiming it “looks nothing like her”.

The painting of Kate is to feature on the cover of Tatler magazine in honour of her “strength and courage”. It is by British-Zambian artist Hannah Uzor, who took inspiration from her cancer diagnosis video message to the nation. The image captures the princess at the first state banquet of the King’s reign in 2022 during the South Africa state visit. She is shown composed, standing and facing forwards in a regal, caped white Jenny Packham floor-length evening dress with sparkling detail on the shoulders, and her go-to tiara, the Lover’s Knot.

But it’s faced a backlash online, with many royal fans replying to a post of the magazine cover by Tatler, questioning the likeness to Kate. One wrote: “Doesn’t look like Catherine at all. If she wasn’t wearing that dress I’d have no clue as to who it’s meant to be.”

Another said: “Sorry, as much as I love that you have the Princess of Wales on the cover, that looks nothing like her.” One asked: “If it’s a portrait of Catherine shouldn’t it at least have looked like her?” Another fumed: “Are you kidding me?” While one royal fan wrote: “Oh heck, I know art is subjective but it looks nothing like the Princess of Wales.”

The image on the magazine cover is set against a green-blue background – a nod to Kate’s eye colour and the experience of being in a garden and on water, reflecting the princess’s love of rowing, the artist said.

Asked whether the princess’s recent cancer diagnosis video gave her a new perspective, Uzor said: “Without a doubt. All my portraits are made up of layers of a personality, constructed from everything I can find about them.” The public address showed “a moment of dealing with something difficult, speaking from the heart, having the courage to tackle it head-on,” she said.

The artist expressed her admiration for the princess, who has stepped away from the public spotlight while she undergoes chemotherapy treatment. “She has really risen up to her role – she was born for this. She carries herself with such dignity, elegance and grace,” Uzor said. The painter, who is based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, is, like Kate, a mother of three, and added: “‘I sense with her the joy of motherhood.”

Uzor is the third artist to receive a commission from Tatler to paint a portrait of a member of the royal family. She follows Sarah Knights, whose painting of the King appeared on the magazine’s July 2023 cover, and Oluwole Omofemi, whose tribute to Queen Elizabeth II graced the Platinum Jubilee issue in 2022.

Last week marked the unveiling of the first official portrait of the King to be completed since his coronation. Jonathan Yeo’s striking depiction of Charles shows the monarch bathed in a dramatic red hue. It also features a butterfly on his shoulder – at the King’s suggestion – reflecting his love of nature and the environment, and also his metamorphosis from prince to monarch.

Rory McIlroy flirted with Meghan Markle and dumped fiancee by phone before Erica Stoll divorce

Rory McIlroy has filed for divorce from wife Erica Stoll after seven years of marriage, with the golfing icon’s love life now back in the spotlight following the split on the eve of the 2024 US PGA Championship

Rory McIlroy’s love life is back in the headlines after he filed for divorce from wife Erica Stoll after seven years of marriage.

The golf star and current world No.2 is spitting from his wife, mother of their three year-old daughter, after divorce papers were submitted at Palm Beach County State Court in Florida on Monday.

Rory McIlroy’s friendship with Meghan Markle sparks rumors | Page Six

McIlroy didn’t attend the PGA Championship champions dinner on Tuesday night after news of his pending divorce broke. A statement from his team read: “Rory McIlroy’s communications team confirmed today that a divorce has been filed. They stressed Rory’s desire to ensure this difficult time is as respectful and amicable as possible. He will not be making any further comment.”

This is not the first time that the Ulsterman has been involved in a high-profile romance. Over the years, McIlroy’s romantic escapades have been a hot topic, including his early relationship with childhood sweetheart Holly Sweeney and rumours of a fling with Meghan Markle.

Rory dated her from when he was just 16, and she was a significant presence in his life as he rose to golfing fame. They were together for about eight years, and Rory once expressed deep appreciation for her support in 2011: “She knows me better than basically anyone else in this world does, apart from my parents, and someone like that with you is very grounding.”

However, their relationship ended abruptly later that year, though Rory described the breakup as ‘amicable’.

Holly went on to marry hockey player Jeff Mason in 2016, and Rory was all smiles, sending his best when she announced her pregnancy: “I’m happy for her,” he said. “It’s great to see she’s happy.”

The pair enjoyed a three-year romance before getting engaged in 2013, but their relationship took a turn for the worse just months later when they announced their split. It was reported that McIlroy ended things with Wozniacki in a brief three-minute phone call shortly after their wedding invitations had been sent out.

When he cancelled his engagement with Caroline Wozniacki on the eve of the 2014 BMW PGA after the wedding invites had gone out, he won the tournament.

He later opened up about his decision to end the relationship, stating: “There is no right way to end a relationship that has been so important to two people.”

He added: “The problem is mine. The wedding invitations issued at the weekend made me realise that I wasn’t ready for all that marriage entails. I wish Caroline all the happiness she deserves and thank her for the great times we’ve had.”

In 2017, McIlroy admitted that dating another sports star was challenging, confessing: “I thought at the time that being with someone that was in a similar position to you was the obvious answer. But it isn’t, because you can never get away from it.

“You can never detach yourself and try to come back to the real world.”

Rory McIlroy and Meghan Markle were rumoured to be an item in 2014 after they flirted on social media. The golfer and future Duchess of Sussex helped the then-Suits star take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge, a viral craze to raise ALS funds.

Later, Markle penned a glowing tribute to McIlroy on her blog, The Tig, writing: “He is a force who has the propensity to actually work hard and play hard, relishing intense practices to substantiate his title, embracing nights of sipping Opus One (his bold and impressive choice of wine) and indulging in group dinners at Cipriani for the balance, of course.”

“The most endearing quality of this man is his character, as real and honest as they come, appreciating a simple smile, never shunning a fan photo, enjoying a plate of pasta with veal ragu, and expressing a love for his parents that is rarely seen in men his age. Or at any age, to be honest.

“He is not just the real deal… he is real. And perhaps that is what makes him even more cherished.”

Dating rumours were dismissed in 2018 however, with claims that the pair were ‘never more than friends.’

Rory McIlroy, the golf sensation, has been happily married to his wife Erica Stoll since 2017, after first meeting her in 2012. The couple, who were friends before romance blossomed, celebrated their union with a lavish ceremony featuring performances by Ed Sheeran, Stevie Wonder, and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

In an interview with the Irish Independent, McIlroy shared, “The thing I love about it is that we were friends before anything romantic happened.”

He recounted how they met while she was working for the PGA of America, appreciating her grounded nature compared to the elite circles he often encounters: “I found it refreshing being with someone who was living a normal life rather than: ‘Oh! My jet is 30 minutes late’.”

McIlroy expressed his contentment, saying, “I feel in such a good place now. I don’t feel Erica wants to change me in any way. I can be myself around her. There’s no bulls**t, no acting, no show.”

The couple welcomed their daughter Poppy in 2018, who McIlroy describes as the ‘absolute love of their lives’.

  • EXCLUSIVE: King Charles and William ‘discussed stripping Meghan and Harry’s royal titles but fear backfire’

EXCLUSIVE: King Charles and William ‘discussed stripping Meghan and Harry’s royal titles but fear backfire’

King Charles III and Prince William ‘have discussed stripping Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal titles’, according to a royal expert, who claims they are weary over the backlash they would face

King Charles and Prince William have discussed stripping Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘s royal titles, according to a royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously stepped back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020, with them moving to America mere months later. The couple now reside in Montecito, California with their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Since the couple moved across the pond, they have taken part in several projects, with them often making bombshell revelations about their time in the Royal Family, raising eyebrows and causing tensions to brew. The Sussexes proudly sat in chairs labelled ‘Duke’ and ‘Duchess’ during their recent tour of Nigeria and were “delighted” their royal titles were on display.

But royal author and expert Tom Quinn has exclusively told The Mirror that King Charles and Prince William “have had lengthy discussions about stripping Meghan and Harry of their royal titles, but they are terrified this would backfire and make the situation worse”.

Mr Quinn added: “The last thing they want is to give the renegade royals something else to complain about. William and his father know that even without their Royal titles Meghan and Harry would carry on travelling the world as if they were royals and most people in the world will still welcome them.”

When the couple stepped back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020, they kept their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles, but no longer had their HRH titles with them no longer addressed as his or her royal highness. Also when they departed the monarchy and the United Kingdom, Harry gave up his military titles.

Earlier this year, the Sussexes doubled down on their association with the Royal Family when they relaunched their website, calling it Sussex.com and using their royal titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and imagery of a coat of arms.

The website features a picture of the couple overlaid with the text: “The Office of Prince Harry & Meghan, The Duke & Duchess of Sussex”. The landing page also includes their credentials, short descriptions, as well as news about their activities such as their recent Nigeria trip.

EXCLUSIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle issued warning against going on another unofficial ‘royal tour’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been issued a stark warning against going on another unofficial ‘royal tour’, which comes off the back of their Nigeria trip

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been warned against going on another unofficial royal tour, with an expert claiming it could make them “objects of mockery”.

Earlier this month, the Sussexes took part in a whirlwind 72-hour visit to Nigeria, which came directly after Harry flew from the States back to England for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. Meghan then met him at Heathrow before the pair jetted to Nigeria for the three-day royal tour, in all but name.

The couple’s Nigeria trip was to mark the Invictus Games’ anniversary, but it also came shortly after Meghan discovered her Nigerian heritage. While on the trip, she even gushed: “I want to start by saying thank you very much for just how gracious you’ve all been in welcoming my husband and I to this country… my country,” while at an event.

And now there are reports that Harry and Meghan would like to visit another country after their Nigerian tour, “which was undoubtedly a high-profile success”, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. He went on to add, in an exclusive chat with the Mirror, that “Ghana has been mentioned”.

Mr Fitzwilliams said: “However they would surely need an excuse, their security in Nigeria was provided by the Government and the visit was linked to the Invictus Games, which Nigeria participates in and reportedly is keen to host, but Ghana does not. Nor has Meghan Ghanaian ancestry.”

He then said that “another quasi-royal tour might make the Sussexes objects of mockery”. Adding: “They only lasted less than two years as senior working royals. It was originally thought that they would be ideally suited to tours especially those with Commonwealth links and some of their patronages, bestowed by Queen Elizabeth, reflected this. However they chose to walk away.”

The expert concluded: “Returning on their terms, but without a purpose, would be meaningless.”

This comes as the couple continue to work on their exciting upcoming projects which include two new Netflix shows – one about cookery and gardening and one about polo – and of course Meghan’s new brand American Riviera Orchard, which is due to launch any day.

Prince William brings home ‘thoughtful’ present for Princess Kate at Adelaide Cottage following Harry ‘snub’

Prince William brought home a “thoughtful” present for Princess Kate at Adelaide Cottage following his “snub” towards Prince Harry.

The Prince of Wales performed his first engagement as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps today, where he was gifted presents for his wife and three children.

William, 41, received an AAC tartan wrap for the Princess of Wales, a scarf for himself and three wooden helicopters for their children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

One royal fan wrote on social media: “Nice of them to think of our Princess of Wales. Our gallant men in uniform.”

    Another said: “Such thoughtful gestures.”

Similarly, one commented: “I love all of the pictures and videos! Those are thoughtful gifts!

“Prince William looks very handsome in his uniform! That’s so cool that he flew off in a helicopter!”

Monday’s engagement was significant as King Charles handed over a prestigious honour in a special ceremony at the Army Aviation Centre to his eldest son.

However, royal fans were surprised Prince Harry had been overlooked by his father, which many saw as a “snub”.

The monarch gave William the prestigious role of colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corps during a ceremony at the Army Aviation Centre in Stockbridge.

This meant the Prince of Wales would succeed his father Charles, who became colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corps 32 years ago.

However, there was no mention of Charles’s youngest son Prince Harry, who served in the Army Air Corps and flew Apache helicopters during two tours of Afghanistan.

The role of colonel-in-chief was widely expected to go to the 39-year-old.

But after he stepped down as a senior member of the Royal Family in January 2020, Harry has become estranged from his family and stripped of his military roles.

Pictures from the event were shared on the official Instagram accounts of the Prince and Princess of Wales, as well as the main Royal Family page.

But the post was inundated with furious comments from fans upset about the “snub” towards Harry.

One wrote: “And Harry? How can you forget him?” Another added: “I think this should have been given to Harry!”

One fan commented: “This would have been a nice honorary role for Harry.”

Meanwhile, another chimed in: “It’s a shame to punish Harry like this, he who committed himself and fought on the field!”

EXCLUSIVE: Prince William ‘feels Spare himself as Harry uses outcast status to become more prominent’

Prince Harry has admitted he felt like the ‘spare’ during his time in the Royal Family, but it seems the tables have now turned with his brother Prince William

Prince William feels as though he is being “overshadowed” by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to a royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently returned to America following a successful three-day tour of Nigeria, where they met with important figures and delivered powerful speeches. The trip received a lot of attention and royal author Tom Quinn suggested William now “sees his role diminished”.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Quinn said: “It’s almost and if Harry is using his freedom, his outcast status, as a means to become a more prominent royal than he ever could have when he was just the spare. Harry and Meghan have realised they don’t need the senior Royals’ permission to organise successful overseas trips where they behave as if they are the real thing.”

During their time in Nigeria, Meghan and Harry were played the British national anthem, something which happens on royal trips. Harry was also invited to inspect troops, despite being stripped of his military titles.

Quinn continued: “They know they will be welcomed and feted as Royals, even if they are not officially royals at all. They have realised that the leaders of many countries don’t care who is an official royal and who isn’t – they are just happy to see a young, glamorous couple who have royal titles and fit the bill.

“And after what they see as their wildly successful tour of Nigeria, they are convinced they are on a roll.” However, with Harry being the centre of attention, it seems the Prince of Wales has been left far from happy.

Quinn said: “Back in Britain and powerless to compete or to prevent his brother taking centre stage, William sees his role diminished. And he hates it.

“He may even have started to feel a bit like a spare himself or at least that for the first time in his life he is being overshadowed by his brother and sister-in-law.” Harry has previously referred to himself as the “spare” and revealed in his debut memoir he was first given the cruel nickname by his father, King Charles.

Charles is said to have first used the term when the late Princess Diana gave birth to Harry. He’s said to have responded: “Wonderful! Now you’ve given me an heir and a spare – my work is done.”

  • Meghan Markle slammed by Nigeria’s First Lady over stars flaunting ‘nakedness, everywhere’

Meghan Markle slammed by Nigeria’s First Lady over stars flaunting ‘nakedness, everywhere’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited Nigeria earlier this month and it seems their trip is still causing a stir, with the Duchess of Sussex being slammed for outfit choices

Meghan Markle has been heavily criticised by the First Lady of Nigeria for flaunting her “nakedness everywhere” during her recent visit to the African country.

The Duchess of Sussex spent three days in Nigeria earlier this month, where she was accompanied by her husband Prince Harry. Meghan made a number of outfit changes during the trip and it seems her fashion was taken as an insult by First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

She gave a speech at an event to mark President Bola Tinubu’s one year in office. During the talk, the First Lasy spoke about how women have made significant contributions to society and made a sly dig about Meghan.

Addressing the crowds, she said: “The message here is we have to salvage our children. We see the way they dress. They keep forgetting that Nigeria, we are beautiful. You can see what they showcase on the stage, I said, ‘We are fashionable, we see what is going on’.

“We are not having the Met Gala. And everyone, the nakedness, is just everywhere and the men are well-clothed. So we have to do something. Tell them we don’t accept nakedness in our culture. That is not beautiful. It’s not beautiful at all.

“And they’re all beautiful girls, but they should be confident in who they are. They do not want to mimic and try to emulate film stars from America. They don’t know where they come from. Why did Meghan come here looking for Africa? That is something we have to take home with. We know who we are. Don’t lose who you are.”

A clip of the speech has been shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, with one person writing: “Meghan Markle managed to create an international incident! We warned her about the clothes.” Another said: “I agree with the First Lady.”

A third person posted: “She should really respect other people culture and should apologise to the country.” However, others didn’t believe the First Lady was actually hitting out at the Duchess of Sussex.

One person wrote: “The message is not for her. Stop giving yourself a headache because of her,” while another said: “She’s talking about Nigerian girls dressing like the Kardashians. She even said look at Meghan that came here, implying even M was interested in the country. She was talking in praise. Letting girls know they can be proud of their country. Stop twisting het words.”

Meghan wore a lot of different outfits and accessories in Nigeria, spending almost £120,000 on jewellery and new clothes. She wore a number of high-end brands on the trip, including Carolina Herrera, Altuzarra, and Johanna Ortiz.

The decision has been criticised by some given the extreme levels of poverty in Nigeria, where more than 112million people are living in poverty. The inequality is not caused by a lack of resources, with Nigeria being the largest economy in Africa, but instead by those in charge being out of touch with the struggles of everyday people.

The poverty in Nigeria is due to the misallocation of resources, with political corruption adding to the struggles. In one example of poverty in Nigeria, the amount of money the richest Nigerian man can earn annually from his wealth is sufficient to save 2million people from poverty.
