Prince Harry and Meghan Markle once had a hidden gem of a home in the UK, valued at an impressive £2.5 million, although it’s rarely discussed. Nestled in the picturesque Cotswolds, this enchanting property served as their temporary sanctuary while they awaited the completion of their beloved Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Lose Inheritance After Alleged Snub of Charles

The Cotswolds abode was a charming Grade II listed house dating back to the 18th century, featuring three distinct structures. It included a main farmhouse, a delightful two-bedroom cottage for staff and guests, and a converted barn with two kitchens across its two floors. The main farmhouse boasted four luxurious bedrooms, one of which was rumored to be transformed into a lavish dressing room befitting royalty.

It was here that Harry and Meghan enjoyed tranquil walks with their beloved dogs and hosted intimate gatherings for their closest confidants, including star-studded guests like Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and glamorous power couple George and Amal Clooney. Tennis legend Serena Williams and her partner Alexis Ohanian also graced the halls of this hidden haven.

Despite its allure, the Cotswolds property was only a temporary chapter in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s story. Frogmore Cottage, situated in Windsor, was intended to be their permanent residence. However, circumstances led them to relocate across the Atlantic, closer to trendy spots like Soho Farmhouse and the luxurious country home of David and Victoria Beckham.

Unlike Frogmore Cottage, which held official status as a royal residence, the Cotswolds cottage lacked robust security measures and stood just 200 yards from the publicly accessible Long Walk. This proximity raised concerns about their cherished privacy.

Despite their affection for this idyllic countryside sanctuary, Harry and Meghan were forced to make a swift departure. Prince Harry expressed his disappointment in his memoir, “Spare the Prince,” recounting how their privacy was violated by intrusive paparazzi, even resorting to helicopters and telephoto lenses aimed at every window, including their intimate bedroom.

Meghan Markle leaves Kate Middleton green with envy

Meghan Markle ‘must have been incredibly envious and then jealous of Kate Middleton’, a royal expert has claimed.
Editor of Majesty magazine Ingrid Stewart suggested to The Telegraph that the Duchess of Sussex, 42, was perhaps jealous of her husband Prince Harry’s close sibling-like relationship with Kate.News now : Meghan Markle Leaves Kate Middleton Green with Envy

‘Unfortunately, it points to Meghan doesn’t it? Maybe Harry was a little in love with Kate,’ said the royal author, before adding: ‘No, no, no – I don’t mean physically but mentally. Remember when it was just the three of them?

He always longed for a sister, he told Diana that. Psychologically I think he just adored her and he was always there, at Kensington Palace, in their fridge, you know, “What’s for supper?”.

Elsewhere, Ingrid, whose new book My Mother and I centres on King Charles III’s relationship with the late Queen Elizabeth II, said the ‘jealous’ Duchess ‘thought she was going to be a princess and live in Windsor Castle.’

Instead, the mother-of-two and her husband Prince Harry, who are now based in California following Megxit, were at first ‘stuck in Nottingham Cottage which [the Duke] used to call “my hovel”‘, while ‘there’s William and Kate with this beautiful house’.

The royal author continued: ‘I think that Meghan must have been incredibly envious and then jealous of Kate.

‘I heard Meghan actually thought she was going to be a princess and live in Windsor Castle. Instead, there’s William and Kate with this beautiful house, while they are stuck in Nottingham Cottage which Harry used to call “my hovel”.’

While Ingrid doesn’t write off the chance of a reconciliation entirely, she does say that distance – both physically and metaphorically makes it seem somewhat unlikely.

In December, an insider told The Telegraph that Meghan ‘felt she had more of a right to speak’ than Kate at certain events because she was a ‘self-made woman’.

The Duchess was allegedly uneasy with the Prince and Princess of Wales being the superior royals in the palace hierarchy when she joined the Royal Family.

This was particularly the case during a Royal Foundation Forum in February 2018, a source said, where it was claimed the tension between the ‘Fab Four’ was ‘palpable’.

Meghan felt ‘she was a self-made woman whereas Kate hadn’t really had her own career’, an insider told the publication.

The source said: ‘She seemed to feel like she had more of a right to speak than her sister-in-law, who had married into the family as an unknown whereas Meghan regarded herself as a philanthropist who could teach the royals a thing or two about charity.

‘I think she found it difficult that the Royal Foundation was already a well oiled machine by the time she got there.’

However, Omid Scobie previously claimed that Kate failed to foster a ‘meaningful’ relationship with her sister-in-law Meghan in his first book Finding Freedom.

It was also reported that Meghan received a ‘lukewarm’ reception from ‘formal’ William and Kate when her relationship with Prince Harry turned serious.

As Harry wrote in his book Spare, when he first introduced Meghan to his brother, Kate had remained in the garden – which wasn’t the welcome they had hoped for.

It comes after the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden revealed that the Princess of Wales, who underwent ‘successful’ planned abdominal surgery more than three weeks ago, is on the mend.

In a clear sign of her improvement, she was able to join her husband, Prince William, and their three children as they set off for a half-term holiday on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where the King is also convalescing.

‘Catherine is recovering well,’ a friend said. ‘She was looking forward to a change of scene and will be able to take it easy in Norfolk while the children let off steam with William.’

The Princess, 42, was discharged 12 days ago from the London Clinic, where she had spent almost two weeks.

In the only Kensington Palace statement about her health, a spokesman said on January 17 that, ‘based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter’.

The spokesman did not provide details about the nature of her surgery, but sources briefed that it was not for cancer.

Since leaving hospital, without being photographed, Catherine has been at Adelaide Cottage, the family’s four-bedroom home at Windsor Home Park.

Her children, Prince George, ten, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, all attend Lambrook school a 15-minute drive away in Berkshire. They broke up for a week’s half-term holiday on Friday.

Thomas Markle has slammed Meghan and Harry for “insulting” the Queen over their Sussex Royal brand row.

The dad hit out at his daughter in a furious outburst after she and Harry were forced to confirm they would not use the word Royal after quitting the Firm.

Speaking to TMZ from near his home in Mexico, Markle blasted: “I’m very upset with Harry and Meghan right now.

“[They] don’t have a right to speak to the Queen the way they’ve spoken to her. I think it’s an insult to the Queen and the British people.”

Markle, who has repeatedly slammed the couple after being shunned from their wedding in 2018, went on to say Meghan and “dumped” him and is now “dumping the royal family”.

It comes after he warned he will keep cashing in on the Megxit row as he begged Meghan to contact him.

    ROYAL ROW

The royal row erupted last week when the couple were forced to ditch their Sussex Royal brand when the Queen hired top lawyers to ban it.

Pals said that Meghan believed there was no legal comeback for the Queen if they continued to use the term after quitting on March 31.

But her and Harry later released a lengthy statement on their website on Friday night where they confirmed they would not be using the word “royal”.

The couple also appeared to throw a perceived dig at being treated differently from other working royals, including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

And the bombshell statement pointed out that while no longer able to use the word royal, Prince Harry would remain sixth-in-line to the throne.

    RETURN TO UK

Harry and Meghan are due to return to the UK to complete their last royal engagements before their March 31 deadline.

The first return to royal duties for Meghan will be on March 5, with the couple heading to the Endeavour Fund awards in London.

As part of the busy six engagements in 11 days, Harry, 35, is expected to attend the opening of the Silverstone Experience – a Brit motor racing museum – with F1 legend Lewis Hamilton on March 6.

And the next day, he will be joined by wife Meghan, 38, for the Mountbatten Festival of Music at Royal Albert Hall.

Meghan is then set to enjoy a solo outing on March 8 when the former actress will mark International Women’s Day, however details of the event are yet to be announced.

And the couple’s final engagement on March 9 will see them join the Royal Family, including the Queen, for the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.

It comes after Harry and Meghan axed their 15 UK staff, in their surest sign they will never return to Britain to live.

The couple, who are currently living in an £8million mansion on Vancouver Island, have been allowed to keep their HRH titles but have been forced to accept that they will not use them publicly as they tout for business around the globe.

Under the terms of the Mexit deal, they have agreed to repay the £2.4million of taxpayers’ money used to refurbish their Frogmore Cottage home in Windsor.

Harry and Meghan must also pay a commercial rent for the home of around £30,000 a month.

Prince Harry’s previous scathing remark about Queen Camilla have gone viral on popular social media platform, TikTok.

During an interview before the release of his bombshell memoir last year, Harry referred to his stepmother with a scathing two-word remark: “The villain”.

Speaking in a 60 Minutes Interview with Anderson Cooper, Harry said: “She was the villain.”

Referring to his father’s relationship with Camilla whilst he was still with his late mother, he added: “[Camilla] was the third person in the marriage. She need to rehabilitate her image…”

In the clip posted by @queendianaspncer on TikTok, Harry was asked whether both he and Prince William had directly asked their father not to marry Camilla, to which he replied, “Yes”.

When asked “why” they had done that, Harry shared: “We didn’t think it was necessary. We thought it was going to cause more harm than good.”

The video then shows similar pictures of Diana and Camilla, such as each of them sitting on a bench next to the now-King Charles.

Coming to Harry’s defence, many fans pointed out how “proud” the late Princess Diana would be of her youngest son.

One fan commented: “Diana is so very proud of Harry! [red-heart emoji].”

Another commented: “I wish Diana would have known how Harry would fight for her and carry on her legacy. She taught him well.”

As reported by US Weekly, a source previously said: “Camilla dislikes Harry and doesn’t want Charles to get stressed while he’s undergoing treatment, so she tries to limit interaction.”

Despite this, they added that Charles, meanwhile, “is holding out hope of salvaging their relationship but is hugely conflicted because Harry has hurt William and Camilla so much.”

Despite this, the insider pointed out that Harry has also “been hurt”.

Speaking of the claims that Harry and William had asked Charles not to marry Camilla, royal expert and The King: The Life of Charles III author Christopher Andersen previously told US Weekly that the brothers’ had “always resented Camilla”.

He added: “They pleaded with their father not to marry her and only grudgingly agreed to go along with the charade if Charles kept his promise not to make her Queen.

“That title would have gone to Dianaif Camilla hadn’t broken up theirparents’ marriage. When Charles broke that promise, William and Harry felt betrayed.”

A Royal expert has suggested that Princes Harry and William could be on the brink of mending their strained relationship, under the influence of King Charles.

Royal commentator and author Tom Quinn claims the Duke of Sussex is being urged by his father to secure a UK residence, enabling the monarch to spend more time with his grandchildren, Archie and Lillibet.

Mr Quinn also hinted at the possibility of a reunion between the feuding brothers in the UK. However, he doubts Meghan Markle would accompany her husband due to her past negative experiences with the Royal Family.

Mr Quinn told the Mirror: “King Charles has been putting pressure on Harry to do just this as he is angry that his only relationship with his grandchildren so far is via video calls, which Charles hates.

“William and Kate’s children would spend the weekend at Highgrove and Harry’s children could then easily pop over from their house nearby. This would neatly get round the problem of Meghan she just wouldn’t need to be there and the children could be whisked back to the States after a week or two.”

Despite these speculations, Harry’s life is clearly now in the US, and he has even discussed the prospect of becoming an American citizen. During a Good Morning America interview, he was asked about his thoughts on applying for US citizenship. In a conversation with presenter William Reeve, Prince Harry was questioned whether he felt American. To this, Harry responded: “Do I feel American? No… I don’t know how I feel.”

On being probed about his hesitations in applying for American citizenship, the Duke of Sussex stated: “I have no idea. I’m here standing next to these guys. The American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind, but certainly not something that is a priority for me right now.”

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, also seems content with her Californian life as evidenced by comments from author Omid Scobie. In his explosive book Endgame, he reveals Meghan “never felt at home” in the UK and states she “never wants to set foot again in England.

The Duchess abstained from attending King Charles’ Coronation last May and didn’t accompany her spouse for his Invictus Games duty earlier this year. As per Omid’s claims, Meghan has avoided returning due to a wish to steer clear of the “soap opera of the court”.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were warned over their emerging business strategy by a royal commentator who claimed there is “zero chance” the couple will ever reconcile with the Royal Family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been making a life of themselves in the US since stepping down as working members of the Firm in 2020, however, their ventures have been mostly linked to their royal ties in one way or another.

Now US journalist and author Christopher Andersen claimed the Sussex pair have “have drifted so far out to sea” that there is “no foreseeable way” in which they’ll be welcomed back into the royal fold.

He told Fox News: “Even if Harry was to throw himself at the king’s feet and beg for forgiveness – which Harry is not about to do – the best he could hope for would be crumbs from the royal table, and the sort of grudging acceptance that is currently being afforded to Harry’s disgraced uncle, Prince Andrew.”

Mr Andersen added: “If Harry and Meghan are determined to monetise their titles, then they’ll just be digging that hole deeper and deeper. But if they simply use their California-centric celebrity to build their brand and steer clear of overtly capitalising on the Sussex name and Windsor connection – well, everybody has a right to make a living.

“Even then, there would still be acrimony – and zero chance of Harry getting back into the king’s and William’s good graces.”

  • Prince William’s ‘plans for future of Royal Family are worrying’, says expert

Prince William’s ‘plans for future of Royal Family are worrying’, says expert

Prince William’s ‘plans for future of Royal Family are worrying’, says expert

A royal expert has expressed his fears for the Royal Family after witnessing the diminished number of family members on the balcony at Buckingham Palace after Trooping the Colour

Prince William reportedly has further plans to slim the Royal Family, leaving one expert worried.

Kate’s first official appearance since announcing she was undergoing treatment for cancer delighted many royal fans as she stood smiling and looking radiant alongside her family. The Princess of Wales was side by side with her husband Prince William on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at Trooping the Colour on Saturday, and beamed happily as she waved to the crowds below.

Accompanying them at the celebration of the King’s official birthday were their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as well as other members of the Royal Family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla. Also there were Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh with their daughter Lady Louise. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent were either side.

The King had reportedly decided to stick with the late Queen Elizabeth’s decision to only have working royals on the balcony, so the junior members were unable to join them. In previous years, the long terrace was packed out with more minor members all squeezed in together as they watched the fly-past. Apparently it was seen as an opportunity to celebrate the entire family in all its symbolic glory.

It’s this relatively new decision for a sparse balcony show that has one royal expert worried. Richard Eden points to the lonely figure of the Duke of Kent, who in years gone by would have been accompanied by his close family such as his wife, children and his glamorous granddaughters Lady Amelia and Lady Marina Windsor, but who on Saturday appeared as a solitary figure.

Eden also claims other minor members of The Firm such as Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of Queen Elizabeth’s adored first cousin Prince Michael of Kent, and his recently bereaved sister, Lady Gabriella Windsor, were asked to stay out of sight behind the curtain in the Centre Room at the palace, like “some embarrassing relative”.

The King has chosen to stick with his mother’s decision to scrap tradition and keep the appearance scaled down. She originally decided it was necessary because she couldn’t exclude Harry and Meghan, as well as the troublesome Duke of York if she was allowing other non-working members to appear.

Eden believes it would be beneficial for the royals to change this “uninspiring policy” and include more, smiling members of the family on the happy occasion, but was dismayed to find out there are apparently no plans for it in the future. In fact, he claims, the show of unity could become even more restricted.

He says he spoke to a friend of Prince William after the weekend and “what he told me left me worried about the future of the monarchy” because William is in full agreement over the slim-lining. “He told me: ‘When the older members of the family retire, His Royal Highness won’t be inviting anyone else to become working royals. It remains to be seen if he will even want his two younger children to be working royals,” he wrote.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, is the only other member to be under 60, which could mean by the time William becomes King and Kate Queen, they could be the only full-time royals left. “That is what William wants,” his source claims. “He sees the small European monarchies as the model for the future.”

In the original plans for the future, Harry and Meghan were intended to play an integral role sharing the workload with William and Catherine, but now they are no longer involved, the King’s vision has been shattered. To solve this, the expert believes William should take a leaf out of his grandmother’s book, who asked her cousins to help her with duties. Therefore William may want to rethink his radical vision and turn to his cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor and the Earl of Wessex, for help in sharing the load when it’s time for him to ascend the throne.

Kate Middleton sent three secret messages at Trooping the Colour including nod to the public

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, made a triumphant return to the public eye during Trooping the Colour, and while she looked sensational, her outfit is said to have carried hidden meanings

Kate Middleton warmed the hearts of the nation when she waved from the Buckingham Palace balcony for the first time in six months during last weekend’s Trooping the Colour.

While the Princess of Wales’s triumphant appearance doesn’t signal a full return to Royal duties, it certainly boosted public morale and showcased the unity of the Royal Family. However, aside from celebrating the King’s official birthday, the future Queen, who looked stunning in a recycled monochrome Jenny Packham dress, Jimmy Choo heels, a matching Philip Treacy hat and Mulberry clutch, may have been sending certain messages with her impeccable fashion choice, according to a style expert.

Megan Watkins, Head Stylist at online fashion retailer SilkFred, analysed the Princess of Wales’s outfit for Trooping the Colour and highlighted three key details that could be interpreted as messages from the popular Royal.

Ms Watkins told the Express that by choosing British brands for this highly anticipated appearance, the princess may have been expressing her gratitude to the public.

The fashion guru said: “Staying true to her signature classic yet fashion-forward style, Kate stepped out in a monochrome Jenny Packham dress, Jimmy Choo pumps, a matching Philip Treacy wide-brimmed angular hat and Mulberry clutch. Here, she showed her eternal love of British brands, something she’s always championed, which could be seen as a nod to her country’s support during this hard time. Eagle-eyed royal watchers will notice that this is not the first time Kate has worn this knee-length Jenny Packham dress. She also wore the piece during the King’s Coronation weekend last year.”

Kate’s upcycling greatly resembled the outfit of her daughter, Princess Charlotte, who donned a navy and white dress, accessorised with white Mary Jane shoes and a white bow on her hair. According to Ms Watkins, this mirroring could have meant to show “a strong sense of family unity and togetherness, perhaps signifying the ongoing support from her family”.

Thirdly, the Princess of Wales’s choice to wear the black and white number was deemed to have carried quite a significance in a bid to reassure the public of a brighter future. The style expert said: “Although her outfit had accents of black, it was mainly white, a colour that traditionally is a symbol of hope, purity and rebirth, perhaps hinting at better times to come.

“Although Kate has always loved a good monochrome moment, and therefore was staying true to her signature style – there was something more moving about eschewing colour on her first appearance since Christmas. Although it could perhaps suggest that she’s not quite ready to dive into bold summer colours, I believe it was also a concerted effort to not take any attention away from the King.”

Ms Watkins added: “Kate has always been a master of ‘reading the room’ with her fashion choices, and her outfits often feel like nothing is chosen without careful consideration, and her appearance at Trooping the Colour was no exception. The coordination with her children, going for a dress she’s worn before and the choice of black and white showed a beacon of hope for the Princess, her love of family and why she will always be our formal fashion inspiration.”

Prince Harry is being pressured by his dad King Charles to make a bold move to resolve the feud with his brother Prince William – and “neatly get around the problem of Meghan Markle”.

That’s according to a Royal expert, who has suggested Princes Harry and William could be on the brink of mending their strained relationship, due to “pressure” from their father, King Charles III.

Tom Quinn, a Royal commentator and author, has revealed that the Duke of Sussex is being urged by the King to find a UK residence so that Charles can spend more quality time with his grandchildren, Archie and Lillibet. This move could potentially pave the way for a reunion between the two brothers on British soil.

However, Mr Quinn doubts that Meghan Markle would accompany her husband, given her past negative experiences with the Royal Family.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Mr Quinn stated: “King Charles has been putting pressure on Harry to do just this as he is angry that his only relationship with his grandchildren so far is via video calls, which Charles hates. William and Kate’s children would spend the weekend at Highgrove and Harry’s children could then easily pop over from their house nearby.

“This would neatly get round the problem of Meghan – she just wouldn’t need to be there and the children could be whisked back to the States after a week or two.”

Despite Quinn’s speculations, Harry’s life is currently rooted in the US and he has previously discussed the possibility of becoming an American citizen. During an interview with Good Morning America, he was asked whether he had considered applying for citizenship in the States.During an interview with William Reeve, Prince Harry was quizzed: “Do you feel American?” To which he candidly replied: “Do I feel American? No… I don’t know how I feel.”

On the topic of potentially applying for American citizenship, Harry admitted: “I have no idea. I’m here standing next to these guys. The American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind, but certainly not something that is a priority for me right now.”

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle appears to be thoroughly enjoying her Californian lifestyle, and Royal author Omid Scobie suggests she may never return to British soil. In his explosive book ‘Endgame’, Scobie writes that Meghan “never felt at home” in the UK and is adamant about not wanting to “set foot again in England.

“Despite not attending King Charles’ Coronation last May nor accompanying Harry to his Invictus Games event earlier this year, Scobie alleges that Meghan’s absence is due to her reluctance to “dive back into the soap opera of the court”.
