Kate Middleton snubbed as huge award goes to convicted president Donald Trump

The Princess of Wales was one of 10 people in the running to be named 2024 Person of the Year by TIME magazine – an award Meghan Markle was also once nominated for – but it has been won by Donald Trump

The Princess of Wales has been pipped to the post by Donald Trump for a major award.

It was revealed earlier in the week that Kate has been nominated along with nine other candidates to be TIME magazine’s 2024 Person of the Year. For almost 100 years, the publication has named the person or group who it believes has had the biggest impact on the world – for good or for bad – over the last 12 months. But it was confirmed today that the president-elect who has won a second term in the White House has taken the gong.

TIME said that the princess’s name on the shortlist came after she “made international headlines this year and stirred a conversation about privacy and health for public figures.” Kate’s nomination came several years after sister-in-law Meghan was also nominated for the award in 2018, the year she married Prince Harry. However, she ultimately lost out on the award, which went to killed and imprisoned journalists dubbed “the guardians”.

The past 12 months have been a rollercoaster of a ride for Kate following abdominal surgery in January before cruel conspiracy theories circulated after she stepped back from the public eye. She later revealed she had been given a cancer diagnosis and started preventative chemotherapy treatment before making a very gradual return to public life, with appearances at Trooping the Colour, Wimbledon and then hosting her Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey on Friday.

During the service last Friday, Kate reflected on her tumultuous year by saying she “didn’t know” what this year would bring just 12 months ago. The 42-year-old, who is making a gradual return to public events after completing her cancer treatment around four months ago, was heard on broadcast footage telling singer Paloma Faith: “I didn’t know this year was going to be the year I’ve just had.” When Faith replied “the unplanned”, Kate said: “The unplanned, exactly. But I think lots of people this year have had such challenging times.”

It was the fourth time the princess has held her event at Westminster Abbey in celebration of the positive qualities found in many and to bring festive cheer to the capital and associated events around the country. For Kate to win the coveted award this year, she will have to beat stiff competition from nine other candidates. Others nominated were Kamala Harry, who failed in her bid to become America’s first female president, and billionaire Elon Musk.

Yulia Navalnaya, the wife of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny who died in February, was also in the running as was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and chairman of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell. Controversial podcaster Joe Rogan was also on the shortlist as was the first female president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum. Completing the shortlist was billionaire and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Meghan Markle’s ‘ice cold’ response to TV presenter who slid into her DMs

A TV presenter who used to work for ESPN has revealed that he once ‘slid into’ Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s DMs, but unfortunately for him, Meghan’s response was ‘ice cold’

Before Meghan Markle met Prince Harry, another suitor gave it their best shot to try and win her hand – but it was nothing but a massive failure.

A TV presenter revealed that he slid into her DMs back in 2014, but Meghan didn’t seem impressed by his tentative message sounding her out – and her response was “ice cold”, luckily for Prince Harry.

The TV presenter, Ryan Russillo who used to work for ESPN, admitted his epic failure on the Bill Simmons Podcast and explained that he had met Meghan over the Super Bowl weekend back in 2014. Meghan, who was the star of the hit TV show Suits at the time, and the presenter were taking part in a game of flag football when they crossed paths, and the now Duchess of Sussex captured his attention quickly.

“We played in a celebrity flag football game together and it was all of the [Sports Illustrated] swimsuit models. So, nobody was really paying any attention to Markle,” Russillo brutally claimed, per US Weekly “I was like, ‘That’s my lane.”

After the event was over, Russillo decided to take the plunge and send a message to Meghan, using the upcoming series of Suits as a way in, but – Prince Harry will be delighted to hear – his overtures went down like a total lead balloon.

“I shot her a DM,” he revealed. “It was a very soft sell…It was, ‘Hey, I know the new season of Suits is coming out if you ever want to come on the show to promote it.’ It was really professional,” he added. But despite the professional tone, Russillo acknowledged that it was a tentative way of seeing how Meghan would react to him, in a low-stakes way of expressing his interest. “It was like a gauging of interest,” the presenter admitted. “Like, if I got an emoji back, who knows?”

However, there was to be no such luck for the former ESPN star, with Meghan politely responding, but quickly turning down the professional opportunity – and Russillo himself in the process, even if she didn’t realise he was interested in more than working together.

Meghan’s message back was “ice cold” he claimed. “It was, ‘Oh, I don’t know anything about sports, but thanks for the offer.’”

In a revealing sit-down with The Cut back in 2022, Meghan was quoted as explaining how much emphasis she and Harry put on manners when it comes to raising their son Archie, telling the youngster “manners make the man” so it’s no surprise that she kept things seriously polite when responding to the presenter – even as she turned him down.

  • King Charles’ crushing blow as major change has huge impacts for Windsor Castle

King Charles’ crushing blow as major change has huge impacts for Windsor Castle

King Charles’ royal property portfolio, which also includes Royal Lodge from which the monarch attempt to evict his brother, Prince Andrew, hits the headlines again

King Charles’ council bill at Windsor Castle is set to rise by a staggering 25%, it is today reported.

The monarch’s bill will rocket by more than £800 per year if the Government approves Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead’s proposed plans to hugely hike its council tax

It is understood the late Queen paid about £2,300 a year in council tax for Windsor Castle, which is in band H, the highest level, but Charles will have to cough up a further £836. It comes at a time when he intends to downsize the monarchy – and his extensive royal property portfolio.

Plans to evict Prince Andrew, 64, from the Royal Lodge, approximately three miles south of Windsor Castle and in the same local authority, derailed when the Duke of York found the necessary funds to retain his keep.

And now the council’s brutal intentions will stretch the Royal Estate’s resources further, with no plans officially afoot to reduce its size. Critics say the Lib Dem-led council could “ruin” household finances with its move. More than 150,000 people live across the patch in Berkshire.

The local authority, though, is on a financial knife edge as it has admitted to facing “effective bankruptcy”, while warning residents that its draft budget for the 2025-26 financial year includes a “significant increase to council tax bills”.

It has been criticised after asking the government to approve an “exceptional” £60.3 million loan, alongside being able to raise council tax by an additional 20 per cent above the current limit of 4.99 per cent set by the government. If given the green light, this would mean an annual rise of up to £320 for an average band D property the equivalent of £6.15 a week, it said. Windsor residents currently pay about £1,700 a year in council tax for a band-D property.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, John O’Connell, the chief executive of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, urged ministers to reject the authority’s request, to “send a message to other councils” that also plan huge tax payments.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead told The Times the “significant increase to council tax bills” was needed to “enable the council to set a balanced budget and deliver the services residents need to undo years of cuts and underfunding; the council is on the brink of effective bankruptcy”.

One in four councils expects to declare themselves effectively bankrupt in the next two years as revenues fail to keep up with the rising cost of children’s and adult social care services.

Windsor and Maidenhead added that the “unsustainable low level of council tax income compared to most other authorities, due to historic decisions to cut council tax year after year over a sustained period from 2010, combined with high levels of debt, means it doesn’t have the financial resilience to meet these pressures”.

The proposed rise will be subject to public consultation, with results reported in February, before the budget is put to full council for a vote in March.

Kate Middleton’s exclusive £39k school that royal children could go to

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ children have already had an enviable start to their studies and are currently enrolled at Lambrook Prep School in Berkshire

The Prince and Princess of Wales both received top-tier educations, attending the UK’s finest institutions. Their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—are also enjoying a privileged start at Lambrook Prep School in Berkshire.

William was schooled first at Wetherby Prep, then Ludgrove School, and ultimately Eton College from 1995-2000. Kate enjoyed her education journey through St Andrew’s School and two exclusive private schools. Though unconfirmed, expectations are that Prince George and Prince Louis will carry on to Eton at age 13. But as for Princess Charlotte, questions linger about whether she’ll attend her mother’s alma mater in Wiltshire.

Kate first went to Downe House School in Berkshire before transferring to Marlborough College in Wiltshire, where by all accounts she blossomed and became exceedingly popular among her peers. A school friend disclosed to the Daily Mail about Kate’s early struggles, saying: “Apparently she had been bullied very badly and she certainly looked thin and pale. She had very little confidence.”

Marlborough college, which charges students £39,930 a year, is widely regarded as one of the UK’s top boarding schools, boasting state-of-the-art sports facilities and grounds. The prestigious school has produced many notable alumni, including Princess Eugenie, comedian Jack Whitehall, and Academy Award-winning screenwriter and actress Emerald Fennell, who portrayed Queen Camilla in seasons three and four of Netflix’s The Crown, reports OK!

If the Prince and Princess of Wales decide not to educate all their children at Marlborough, it’s possible that Prince George and Prince Louis could follow in their father’s footsteps and attend Eton College. This speculation is fuelled by the fact that Prince George was seen touring the renowned school with his parents last year.

Eton, established by King Henry VI in 1440, charges a hefty £48,501 a year and boasts royal alumni such as Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince William of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, as well as Samuel and Arthur Chatto. Known for its incredible facilities, Eton offers everything a student could possibly want, including approximately 40 football/rugby pitches, a 2km rowing lake, 19 cricket pitches, and 50 tennis courts.

Should the two princes attend Eton and the couple wish to keep their three children close to their Windsor home, Princess Charlotte might potentially go to St Mary’s School in Ascot. This is the same school where Prince William’s cousin, Lady Louise Windsor, studied before heading off to the University of St Andrews.

Prince George given cute nickname by school pals which William has started using

Prince George has a sweet nickname given to him by his school friends and it turns out that both his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, also have special names for him and his siblings

Prince George, the young Royal destined for the throne, has been given an adorable nickname by his schoolmates. They’ve taken to calling him “PG”, a nod to his initials for “Prince George”.

This endearing name isn’t just a hit among his peers; it’s also caught on at home. Princess Kate and Prince William have reportedly adopted the nickname, affectionately referring to their firstborn as “PG Tips” in homage to the well-known British tea brand.

But that’s not all – Prince William also has a unique nickname for his daughter, Princess Charlotte. At the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show, he was heard calling her “Mignotte”, which translates from French as “cute.”

A woman who met the Royal couple told the Daily Mail that they often call her “Lottie.” She recounted: “I said he is four, and she said, ‘Oh, he’s the same age as Lottie’ – she calls her Lottie!”

And we can’t overlook the youngest of the clan, Prince Louis. During an engaging visit with the scouts, Princess Kate let slip his nickname while they were roasting marshmallows. She cheered him on with: “Pop that on the fire Lou-bugs.”

With some assistance from his mum and a scout leader, Prince Louis was all set to savour his treat, prompting Prince William to quip, “You won’t hear a peep out of him now.”

Previously, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were pupils at Thomas’ School in Battersea, south London, while the littlest, Louis, attended Willcocks Nursery in South Kensington, west London.

The young royals have made Lambrook School near Ascot, Berkshire, their educational home. The three siblings grabbed headlines at their mum’s festive Christmas carol service hosted at Westminster Abbey.

Little Prince Louis was spotted cradling a heartfelt red card for “Thank you to granny and grandpa because they have played games with me,” thanking them for their playful company.

Kate’s annual musical extravaganza attracted faces such as telly favourite Lorraine Kelly and chart-topper Paloma Faith among the 1,600 lucky guests.

In a candid exchange with Paloma Faith, who serenaded attendees on the night, Princess Kate confessed, “I didn’t know this year was going to be the year that I’ve just had.”

Recognising the hardships of the past year, not just personally but broadly shared, she sympathised, “But I think lots of people this year have had such challenging times, many who are here today.”

Kate lauded the efforts of working parents like Paloma, commenting wistfully on the parenting challenges: “I know as a mum it’s hard pulling yourself away, the juggling.”

Exclusive: Prince William ‘isn’t ready for Christmas’ – as he opens up on Sandringham celebrations

Prince William spoke of his Christmas hopes revealing he will be sitting down with 45 family members – but is most looking forward to a long dog walk and movie time with Charlotte, George and Louis

The Prince of Wales, 42, brought festive cheer and handed out Christmas presents to children and families at a festive party for 1st Battalion Mercian Regiment in Wiltshire.

William, colonel-in-chief of the regiment, met soldiers and their families at Picton Barracks, Bulford Camp, in Wiltshire, during a light-hearted and fun lunch. He was greeted at the entrance by 18-month-old the regimental mascot Private Derby the ram.

Told the Swaleside ram has been the 33rd mascot since 1858, he said: “I can see you are holding on tightly, he looks fantastic, very smart.”

When William was informed the mascot he was off to spend Christmas in a “field full of ewes”, William replied: “So he has quite a fun Christmas. Oh good luck to him.” Inside the sergeant’s mess he chatted and joked at ten tables of servicemen and women and their children.

Karson Heighway, 10, handed Wills a drawing of the prince he had penned on a post-it note. Wills looked at the drawing and said: “Is that me?” The prince then joked: “Looks like I have five nostrils.”

But he was suitably impressed to fold the drawing up and put it in his breast pocket.

The Mercian Regiment is largely personnel drawn from the Midlands and the Christmas party was filled with football fans supporting the likes of Stoke, West Brom, Wolves and Aston Villa.

William, who on Saturday met Donald Trump in Paris at the ceremonial reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral, revealed he will be watching Villa’s Champions League tie away to RB Leipzig from home. He said: “I was trying to get to the game but have got a lot of things going on.” Asked about his Royal Family Christmas plans, he revealed hopes for long walks with the family dog as they spend the festive period in Norfolk. He said: “Am I ready for Christmas? No, no way am I ready.”

But told another table he was looking forward to Christmas with 45 members of his family “all in one room” but “normally spread out”. William asked five-year-old Alexander Fitzgerald what he wanted for Christmas. His dad Sgt Lee Fitzgerald, 39, said afterwards: “He said he wanted a Nintendo Switch and when they spoke about playing Mario Kart William said he was supposed to let your dad win sometimes.”

All servicemen and their families wore Christmas jumpers to the bash. Ten-year-old Isobelle McNeil and her younger brother Hunter, 5, handed William a Father Christmas hat present and Christmas card written to George, Charlotte and Louis.

Seven-year-old Sanganoo Kejhan also handed William a hand-made Christmas card. Dylan Potter, 14, made William laugh after revealing he was wearing two Christmas jumpers. He said afterwards: “I asked what does a prince do for fun? He said he likes watching movies and hanging out with his children but because he is over 40 finds fun hard to come by.”

William also revealed, while chatting to families, that he has been watching Netflix with Kate including ‘Black Doves’ starring Kiera Knightly. Not only did William turn down the chance to wear the Santa hat but was also not wearing a Christmas jumper. He was heard saying while pointing at himself: “Some people don’t own one.” When asked why he wasn’t wearing a jumper he pointed across the room at his new equerry Squadron Leader Mike Reynolds, and said jokingly: “I didn’t know, you see that guy in the jacket, it’s his fault and I will be having a word.”

He told families: “I hope you have a quiet Christmas.” Towards the end he joked: “Ten tables, it’s like I’m speed dating.” He was also treated to a song from a Fijian choir – formed of soldiers from the Mercian Regiment.

Prince Harry and Meghan insider reveals what they were really like making new Netflix show

The showrunner of Meghan and Harry’s new Netflix documentary has candidly opened up about what the couple were really like on set – and their true motive behind the series

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have produced a brand new documentary series about polo for Netflix, and the hotly-anticipated show has finally been released. The series lifts the lid on the elite sport, which Harry has played himself for many years, and the drama that surrounds it – on and off the field.

The couple inked a multi-million-pound deal with Netflix back in 2020 after their surprise royal exit sent shockwaves across the nation – and now the showrunner who worked on Polo has candidly opened up about exactly what the couple’s motivation was in this latest venture for the streaming giant, and what they were really like to work with.

Speaking to the New York Post, Miloš Balać explained that Meghan and Harry were keen to show that there is a lot more to the sport than its reputation as an elite, luxury sport – and wanted the series to dig deep into all the grit and determination that goes into each and every match, as well as the strong community spirit that can be found on the sidelines.

Balać – who also produced the hit documentary series Welcome to Wrexham for Disney Plus – added that the couple were “amazing” to work with and their two contrasting perspectives on the sport provided a lot to the production. “Both Prince Harry and Meghan were just amazing collaborators from the start,” he explained. “They have so much knowledge about the sport, but also an understanding that we’re trying to bring new people into this world.”

The showrunner explained that while Harry provided extreme levels of expertise and the nitty-gritty details of the sport, having been playing it for years himself, Meghan as more of a newcomer to the world helped round things out, almost playing the role of the audience, who are coming to the able to with little, if any, knowledge of polo.

Balać added that he also was a novice when it came to polo at the beginning of the project and that he worked closely with the couple to use both of these perspectives to create a show that would encourage many more people to become interested in the sport. Polo is called the sport of kings for a reason – horses, lessons, and club memberships don’t come cheap – so the couple were motivated by making the sport more accessible to their viewers and breaking down the stereotypes surrounding it.

“I think the collective intention was definitely, definitely to grow the audience of polo,” the showrunner said. “I think the difference in approach was that Harry, you know, is really seeing it as ‘look at how incredible these athletes are. Look how incredible these animals are’ which Meghan sees and says the same. But I think for her, it’s also like, ‘Look at how incredible this community is.’

“You know, she’s the one who’s sitting watching from the side of the field and she was there, and we wanted to showcase that part of the world as well, where it really does feel like one big family. I think that was really the feeling we were going for from the start.”

The showrunner added that he shared the couple’s vision of dismantling the stereotype surrounding polo that it is a sport only the richest elites can enjoy, and that while Harry and Meghan were motivated to show the glamorous side too, they also wanted to highlight just how hard the athletes and animals have to work, and the sacrifices made to compete at the highest level.

All five episodes of Polo are available to stream on Netflix now – with Prince Harry appearing in the final episode, which covers the Sentebale Polo Cup – an annual event in aid of Harry’s charity.

  • Kate Middleton’s brutal realisation in Prince Harry feud after ‘being thrown under bus’

Kate Middleton’s brutal realisation in Prince Harry feud after ‘being thrown under bus’

A royal expert has claimed that despite Princess Kate being ‘thrown under the bus’ by Prince Harry, the future Queen may still be the key to healing the feud between the Sussexes and the other royals

It’s no secret that the relationship between Prince Harry and some of the other senior royals has been pretty cold in recent years – but Kate may be the key to healing the ongoing feud, a royal expert has claimed.

For many years, Kate and her brother-in-law Prince Harry clearly enjoyed a really close relationship – and in his memoir, Spare, Harry opened up about just how much Kate meant to him, calling her the “sister I’ve never had and always wanted”.

However, in recent years things between them have simply not been the same. Harry and Meghan’s shock royal exit in 2020, and the couple’s subsequent candid revelations about life inside the monarchy – and allegations against some of the other senior royals – have left their relationships with much of the House of Windsor seemingly in tatters.

While Harry rushed back to the UK upon King Charles’s cancer diagnosis early in the year – and came back to attend his father’s coronation – things with his elder brother William are reported to have remained icy, with the two brothers still far from reconciling.

However, one royal expert believes that if anyone can bring Harry back into the royal fold it is Kate, and that after a year of difficult health challenges, the future Queen may well be more inclined to try and encourage peace between William and his brother.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, royal author and journalist Katie Nicholls explained that despite the fact Kate herself may feel somewhat betrayed by her once-close brother-in-law, the new perspective she has gained during her cancer treatment may lead her to encourage a still-angry William towards reconciliation.

“Kate’s been thrown under the bus by Harry, he’s said hurtful things about her, he’s brought the children into the narrative. I think the Prince of Wales remains very, very angry and upset and feels very betrayed,” the expert said, adding that the timing of any future peacemaking would be crucial.

“Possibly the Princess of Wales is still open to a reconciliation in some form. I still feel it’s quite early. But I do think when you go through something like a cancer diagnosis and you go through the sort of journey that she has done, and you confront your own mortality, you realise life is short.

“It’s far too short for rifts and family feuds. And perhaps that will be a role that she will play at some point in healing that rift, because I think we look to the Royal Family as a symbol of unity. We will want to see them together at Christmas, this will be the sixth Christmas that Harry won’t have been a part of.

The royal author also noted that Kate understands part of her duties as the future Queen is to model behaviour for the public and set a good example.

When Kate announced that she had begun a course of chemotherapy in an emotional video message to the nation, and appealed for privacy for herself and her children during the challenging time. Harry and Meghan were quick to back her publicly – and also reportedly reached out to Kate in private.

“We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace,” Harry and Meghan said in a statement shortly after the announcement. Kate completed her chemotherapy in September and has been gently dipping her toes back into royal duties since, appearing at the Cenotaph for Remembrance Sunday, and hosting her annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey.

However, she noted at the time that her main focus is to “stay cancer-free” so will “continue to take each day as it comes”. In the unusually candid video message that marked the end of her treatment, Kate noted that the “scary and unpredictable” cancer journey had provided her a “new perspective on everything” and reminded her and her husband to focus on the “simple yet important things in life”.

Gino D’Acampo breaks silence after he’s accused of ‘inappropriate behaviour’ towards This Morning staffer

TV has reportedly been thrown into a harassment row as new Gino D’Acampo allegations come to light.

The top chef has been accused of “inappropriate behaviour” on the set of This Morning.

It’s said that the woman accusing him of the behaviour over five years lodged a complaint with ITV bosses last week.

The Sun claimed that she worked with the Italian chef between 2006 and 2011 on daytime show This Morning. During the time he was a frequent guest chef.

    Gino D’Acampo allegations

According to the reports she decided to come forward with the allegations amid the investigation against BBC’s Gregg Wallace.

A source close to the complainant alleged to The Sun: “She worked with Gino for five years. She has come forward after being spurred on by the Gregg Wallace scandal. And the comment he made about his accusers being middle-class women of a certain age.”

They explained she feels “she is the middle-class woman who believes young women shouldn’t have to put up with this kind of behaviour”.

Recalling their friend’s time with Gino, the source went on to claim: “Gino was younger and not as well-known then. He used to say he didn’t want to become famous as he would have to curtail his behaviour.”

    Gino’s time on ITV

The allegations come amid reports that Gino is being “slowly sidelined” by ITV due to multiple claims about inappropriate conduct.

Further complaints are said to have arisen during filming of Emission Impossible with Fred Sirieix. Gino is accused of jokingly flashing, which is believed to have led to crew members being offered counselling.

“Filming was halted and Gino was put on a training course. He has a sporran which he calls Justin Beaver with which he regularly flashes, some of his humour and antics in 2024 have become increasingly hard to tolerate,” one source claimed,

A spokesperson from ITV told The Sun: “We made our position clear following the outcome of our KC Review last year. We said, we are completely committed to creating an environment where everyone is treated with respect and feels able to give their best.”

They added that ITV will investigate any complaints made and if they “find that something inappropriate has happened, we will take action”.

    Gino breaks silence

Earlier today, following the allegations, Gino was back on social media. However, he was responding to a post about his cookware range, and didn’t mention the allegations.

He took to Instagram to share a post from a food blogger, who had been sent a huge hamper of Gino-branded products. Alongside the post, Gino wrote: “Enjoy!!”

I’m A Celebrity star Tulisa Contostavlos flooded with complaints as she speaks out over finale absence

She is focusing on her mental health

The N-Dubz singer was the only campmate missing when Danny Jones was crowned the King of the Jungle.

Tulisa previously clarified that her decision to delete posts related to the jungle had nothing to do with her pals, who handled her Instagram posts while she was away.

She brushed off the rumours that she felt “unhappy” with what was shared about her online. So, fans want to know what stopped her from appearing alongside her fellow campmates last night (December 8).

Tulisa Contostavlos missed I’m A Celebrity finale

Tulisa’s fans have wondered about her whereabouts ever since she left the show. While many seemed disappointed with her early exit, others appeared occupied with rumours surrounding her social media behaviour.

Yesterday, she posted highlights from the jungle close to her heart while dedicating the caption to her fellow campmates in the finale.

Alongside a carousel of her pictures from the jungle, Tulisa wrote: “Looking back at some of my favourite moments from the @Imacelebrity jungle. It’s been a whirlwind.

“Thank you to @itv for the experience and for sending so much love to my jungle fam before the final tonight. Sorry, I can’t be there to celebrate with you all.”

Why Tulisa left Australia after I’m A Celebrity

In a different video posted to her account five days ago, Tulisa revealed the real reason she flew back to her home country.

She said she wanted to take time off to deal with all the attention she received from the show as it became overwhelming.

Tulisa said: “I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding – in all the most positive way, but because it’s been a bit of a while for me, I can get overwhelmed quite easily and I just started to feel a little bit overwhelmed.”

“And I was like, do you know what? I need to just take a little bit of time for me and just chill. This is all just feeling a bit much at the moment,” she continued.

She also promised her followers she would return with her favourite jungle memories to post on her Instagram reels. “The way it’s being posted and all the random stuff is not how I would do my Insta. I would have one or two really good reels relating to the jungle and bringing my time together there,” the singer explained.

Tulisa sparks criticism over I’m A Celeb final absence

I’m A Celebrity viewers have expressed disappointment with Tulisa for deliberately missing the finale and choosing not to be a part of the final camp moment.

When one of the followers asked: “Couldn’t be there or didn’t want to be there?” another agitated fan added: “You couldn’t even have the dignity to show up to congratulate the winner.”

Echoing the above emotions, one said: “MUST be a GOOD reason why you’ve chosen to fly home. Such a shame you couldn’t finish your jungle experience with the rest of them tonight.”

“Not a great team player after all!” complained another.

However, most comments targeted at Tulisa appeared positive as fans want her to prioritise her mental wellbeing over negative remarks.

“You were fabulous and your soul shone through. Big love,” said one supportive.

Another added: “You came across really well Tulisa and I think you looked stunning. You’re gorgeous. Stay strong babe.”

Someone else wrote: “You’ll always be our winner, we love you, take care of yourself.”
