Lorraine Kelly was forced to hit back at viewers on Thursday after some suggested she had undergone ‘fillers’
Lorraine Kelly had to set the record straight on Thursday, hitting back at viewers who claimed she’d had ‘fillers’ after her ‘swollen face’ sparked concern among fans.
The 65-year-old ITV presenter joined the Loose Women panel as a guest and opened up about sporting a black eye, which had fans reaching out with messages of concern
Linda Robson, one of the panellists, remarked, “You’ve got a bit of a shiner haven’t you” prompting Lorraine to share the comical mishap: “I have! I will explain, yesterday, you know as women we try to do too many things at one time and we try to do it really fast?”
She recounted the incident, saying: “I had a massive bag of washing, a huge big washing basket, I couldn’t see and was going from the kitchen to the living room, where there’s a wee step, and my slippers are too big, I fell over and then I fell onto a rhino – as you do! I hit my face on it!”

Despite the fall, Lorraine praised her makeup artist for covering up the bruise: “I thought I’d be fine and I woke up this morning with the biggest shiner, this big black eye, I thought I won’t say anything, I won’t say anything and Helen, our fantastic make-up artist, has actually done a brilliant job! Hasn’t she done a great job?”
When asked about the pain, Lorraine downplayed it: “It’s okay… it’s a wee tiny bit but I just feel a bit silly! Also, can I just say, somebody phoned in and said: ‘Have I had fillers’… no!”, reports Bristol Live.
She added: “A lot of people were very kindly, a lot of folks were saying: ‘Are you okay?’, ‘have you got an allergy?’ Our viewers are so lovely! They were like: ‘You should try this!'”.
Finally, Lorraine clarified the cause of her injury, insisting: “It’s not an allergy, it’s not fillers!”
