The BBC has signed TikTok star Niall Gray on Strictly Come Dancing’s spin of show It Takes Two.
Niall Gray, 28, who has garnered a legion of fans on the social media platform, will be giving viewers an insight into behind the scenes gossip of the BBC show His coverage of backstage of Strictly will be aired during weeknights. Speaking about landing the role, Niall said: “I’m really excited to be the backstage reporter for It Takes Two! Getting up close with all the behind the scenes action – it’s going to be great fun. As a Strictly fan I cannot wait to bring all the backstage gossip to the viewers!”
Niall’s access to all areas of the show appears to know no bounds as he is also able to peek in at the celebrities during the training sessions. Elsewhere on the show, Nick Knowles finally broke his silence after he was forced to bow out from the BBC show, this weekend.
The DIY SOS host had been a favourite of this series but suffered an injury at the beginning of the series, which marks 20 years. The star had injured his shoulder while fixing a car tyre after the initial episodes. And while he was given the all clear by medics ahead of the second show, it seemed the gruelling training regime set his recovery back – and so he bowed out of the show this weekend.
