Ruth Langsford has addressed rumours she is feuding with one of her ITV colleagues after weeks of drama on the channel following Phillip Schofield’s shock resignation
Ruth Langsford has set the record straight regarding reports she’s feuding with one of her ITV co-stars.
The Loose Women presenter, 63, has found herself in the middle of the This Morning drama after her husband Eamonn Holmes, 63, made his feelings about Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield crystal clear.
But some viewers think Ruth is rowing with colleague Coleen Nolan – and now the mum-of-one has spoken out.
When the panel were discussing therapy on the show yesterday, Coleen told Ruth she was her “confidante”, prompting an appreciative sigh from the audience.
Smiling at her pal, Ruth said: “Don’t believe the magazine covers!”

But viewers reckoned they picked up on tension between the pair earlier in the show when Coleen reminisced about ice cream parlours in the sixties.
Ruth teased: “It was 102 years ago yeah” prompting a grimace from the Nolan Sister.
It had previously been reported the pair don’t see eye to eye, highlighted by an awkward exchange on Loose Women in October.
The panel were discussing humorous women with Coleen saying she thought she was funny.
Ruth replied: “You’re not that funny” prompting gasps from the audience.
In response Coleen said: “You know this is going to be all over the magazines next week. Because we’re always at war!”
“We are always at war, we have been at war for years!” Ruth replied.

“Actually, it is quite nice to see you being funny,” Coleen hit back at her colleague.
“Touché Coleen, touché,” Ruth responded as Janet Street-Porter quickly added: “I’m going to change the subject now.”
This week, viewers spotted an ‘awkward’ exchange between Ruth and Holly Willoughby.
Ruth is yet to make any comment on the Schofield scandal, but her husband Eamonn has been very vociferous.
As Holly cut to the Loose Women studio for a live link, Ruth appeared to ignore the Wylde Moon guru before telling her co-host Josie Gibson she’d ‘got the green memo’ and ‘looked great.’
Awkwardly, Holly was also dressed in green as body language expert Judi James told us: “The signs of tension had barely eased today but, as Holly sat primly, her hands touching and static on the table in front, Ruth brought Coleen into frame to allow her to have some relaxing banter in her own studio.
“When Ruth said ‘Hi Holly Hi Josie’ and their fixed smiles looked identical, her eyes flicked from side to side in a micro cut off ritual as though avoiding using eye contact.”
