Meghan bonded with a group of children at the Invictus Games by reading them a best-selling book celebrating diversity.

The mum-of-two read the book to the 40 kids, who were from a range of different countries, during a special behind closed doors friends and family event on Sunday morning. At the end of the reading, Meghan, 43, warmly told them: “We are here for you – we will be cheering you and your parents on this week!”

The tome, called ‘All Are Neighbors’, is described as “uplifting” and focuses on a neighbourhood “coming together to celebrate their diverse community”. Meghan posted a video of herself surrounded by the youngsters on her Instagram account.

She also published images of herself and Harry, 40, posing with the children and looking at touching drawings they had made during the event inside Vancouver Convention Centre. In a lighthearted moment, while discussing with the kids what they’re most excited about this week, one of the parents of an Australian youngster, playfully gifted Harry a pair of speedos.

Prompting laughter from him and the entire crowd, she joked: “You don’t have to model them right now!” Harry and Meghan are today set to enjoy sporting action on what is the first full day of action following Saturday’s opening ceremony.
