Danny Dyer left family home after ‘fling’ with Girls Aloud star and co-star helped him pack

Danny Dyer’s turbulent marriage saw him kicked out of his family home years after he had an affair with a Girls Aloud star after reportedly ‘growing close’ on the set of Run For Your Wife

Actor Danny Dyer has opened up about his marital woes in a brand new interview, revealing long-suffering wife Jo Mas once chucked him out and emptied his back account after his drug-fuelled benders.

The star admitted to cheating on the mother of his three children, previously saying: “I thought the grass was greener – but the grass was horrible and I don’t ever want to go there again.”

In 2017 things got so bad, that the former EastEnders star left the family home he shared with Jo and their three kids. The TV bad boy was seen moving all his belongings from the property in bags and boxes with the help of EastEnders co-star Kellie Bright. It’s said he moved into a £1,700 a month bachelor pad following his marriage woes.

It was suggested Danny – who played Mick Carter in the BBC soap – was helped by his on-screen wife after his marriage to Jo fell under “serious pressure”. At the time, the pair were said to have been spending more and more time apart.

It came after claims emerged that he’d had an affair with late Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding on the set of 2012 movie, Run For Your Wife. And he was also accused of sending a string of texts and an X-rated snap of himself to a blonde woman on his stag do.

According to The Sun, he asked the woman to send him ‘some filth’ because he was feeling ‘nawty’ during the exchange.

However, an insider claimed Danny was just ‘having fun’ with the texts, insisting: “He’s clearly moved on with his life since then and him and Jo have been getting on well.”

Having undergone therapy for male abandonment issues, the father-of-three previously told The Mirror that the past is well and truly in the past.

“Young men, and I was guilty of it myself, you don’t quite know about loyalty and commitment and you just sort of go with whatever your head is telling you and it’s not the best decision to make. But you’ve got to learn that from a young age,” he said.

“Me and Jo are going to be together for ever. Abso-f******-lutely. Completely. We will probably renew our wedding vows. I want to see my Dani tie the knot first, whenever that will be.

“We’ve gone through a lot me and Jo. I take full responsibility for most of our ups-and-downs. Most of the downs, really.

“We’ve been together since we were 14 so we have spent our whole life together. We were parents at 18, we were still babies ourselves but then we were trying to parent from 18 onwards with Dani. So we have gone through a lot together.”

And he has now admitted Jo is in complete control of the pair’s finances following his chaotic past. He broke down following his grilling on TV series The Assembly as he was asked questions by a group of interviewers who are autistic, neurodivergent or learning disabled. The deal with the chat was that nothing is off the table – and that all answers must be honest and truthful. When he was asked by group member Chardonnay if he and his wife still have a shared bank account after she emptied it and kicked him out over his wild behaviour in 2000, Danny admitted: “She controls everything now.”

He went on to explain what happened, saying “Yes, she did kick me out because I was a pr***. And she deserved better. Sometimes I would go out and get off my head, take drugs, and I wouldn’t come home for three days. I had issues – I never wanted the party to end. She had every right to throw me out.”

Danny was also asked if he thought he had betrayed his working class roots by privately educating his children. He confessed he needed to leave the East End, where he and Jo grew up and met at school aged 14, because there was always “violence in the air”.
