Prince Andrew Quits Royal Family After £1 Billion Royal Lodge Sale—King Charles Furious!
Prince Andrew is desperately holding on to his refuge at Royal Lodge, finding an unexpected last-minute lifeline for protection. Prince Andrew will remain at Royal Lodge, unfazed by King Charles’s decision to cut off private funding for his security team of ten. A reliable source has revealed that the King has made sure taxpayer money won’t be used to cover Andrew’s security expenses after his private team leaves in October.

To manage the rising costs, Prince Andrew has decided to hire a mobile security team as a compromise, ensuring the property remains adequately protected. The source explained that the reason for the private security team’s discontinuation is purely financial, as renewing their contract in October was considered too expensive. Discussions are already underway to implement a mobile security team, which will provide 24/7 protection, conduct regular patrols, and be on standby for any emergencies.

Additionally, a new security system will be installed at the property with significantly lower costs that won’t burden taxpayers. The Windsor estate, where Royal Lodge is located, also has several other royal residences, ensuring there is always a police presence nearby. While these officers aren’t officially assigned to Andrew, they will respond quickly if any serious issues arise.

Despite being offered Frogmore Cottage—a nearby residence that underwent an extensive £2.4 million renovation in 2019—Andrew refuses to leave his lavish 30-bedroom home in Windsor, estimated to be worth £30 million. He’s been struggling with the maintenance of Royal Lodge, which he’s required to repair, renew, and upkeep according to the 75-year lease agreement granted by the Crown Estate in 2003.

The lease also specifies that the mansion’s exterior walls must be repainted every five years with two coats of paint, while the interior needs repainting, polishing, and redecorating every seven years. This responsibility has been Andrew’s since 2010.

A confidential source recently revealed that Prince Andrew has been offered exclusive use of the Queen’s former cottage on the Balmoral estate for the summer. The source shared that Andrew has been accompanied by his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, at the late Queen’s beloved cottage.

This trip is expected to be a much-needed break for Andrew, who has been largely isolated at Royal Lodge since the beginning of the year. “Andrew has barely left Royal Lodge since Christmas, so he’s really looking forward to spending some quality time with the family at Balmoral,” the source revealed. His daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, are hopeful that this family time will lift his spirits and encourage him to come out of his reclusive state.
