Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are said to be struggling to decide how to spend Christmas, following an invitation from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
Princess Eugenie is reportedly facing a festive dilemma, having been extended an invite by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to spend Christmas with them in Montecito, California, while also being expected at the Royal Family’s traditional celebrations in Sandringham.
An individual close to the 34-year-old Royal shared that Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank, 38, and their young sons August, 3, and Ernest, 1, are considering how best to navigate both invitations.
The insider explained: “Harry and Meghan have invited Eugenie and Jack to join them in California during the holidays. It’s a very difficult position for Eugenie because she has also been invited to Sandringham.”

With plans afoot to potentially unite their kids with Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, the Sussexes’ little ones, it seems the family may be leaning towards a trip stateside post-Christmas. The source noted: “It would be so nice for the children to spend time with their cousins,” continuing to hint at arranging a get-together, saying, “The diary is very tight over the holidays but there might be a slot free around New Years’ time for everyone to come together at some point.”
Fueling further chatter about Princess Eugenie’s ties to the Royal brood, there was talk after Eugenie and her brood were notably absent from Princess Kate’s Christmas carol event at Westminster Abbey, as reported by the Express, reports Gloucestershire Live.

It’s been suggested that Princess Eugenie and her sister, 36-year-old Princess Beatrice, are upset over how their dad, Prince Andrew, has been treated by the Royal Family with regards to his residence at the Royal Lodge. It appears the York sisters find it hard to accept their unofficial positions within ‘the Firm’, with Princess Eugenie feeling particularly torn about her relationship with cousin Prince Harry.
“Eugenie is in a difficult position because she’s always been close to Harry, but she is mindful of how that relationship could affect her standing with the rest of her family,” a source revealed. “She is always trying to manage a difficult balancing act which can become quite tiresome at times.”

In the wake of current scandals, the Yorks are treading lightly to stay in the good books with the senior royals. “Eugenie doesn’t want to jeopardise the family’s renewed goodwill efforts,” the insider added.
An insider has revealed Princess Eugenie’s dedication to staying connected with her family in the UK, as well as her desire to fortify her relationship with her cousin abroad. “Eugenie and Harry were at one point almost inseparable,”
“They have maintained a bond in recent years and are keen for their children to share a close family connection as they grow up.”
