The Traitors stars fume at Claudia Winkleman as she drops shock announcement

The Traitors stars were left visibly stunned and questioning host Claudia Winkleman on Friday night, as she dropped some big news after the latest banishment round table

The Traitors fans saw the cast left rattled on Friday night, after some news from host Claudia Winkleman.

Claudia dropped an unexpected announcement leaving them all reeling and shouting out. Leon had just been banished by them all, after wrongly being accused of being a Traitor.

The Faithful left them all in tears as he declared who he was, and they realised they’d got it so wrong once more. But just as they were trying to process the information and who was lying out of the rest of them, Claudia has some news.

She stopped them in their tracks, declaring the night wasn’t over. Claudia announced: “Faithful, you have lost one of your own. He was such a team player.

“It’s getting so dangerous for the innocent. You are gonna need to think about that when you get into bed, but it’s not time for bed yet. You need a pick me up. I’m throwing you a dinner party. So get ready, have a drink, eat delicious food.”

It’s then that the contestants began laughing before realising she was being serious, with them looking shocked. Some of them called out at her, not happy with having to head off and party after losing Leon.

As several of them shouted out: “What?!” Freddie was heard saying to Claudia: “What, tonight? What? You’re taking the p**s.” Claudia defended this, saying: “You need it, have a party if you can.”

Leanne also fumed, saying: “What the hell. I am not in the party mood at all to be honest, and I’ve got to have a great time with people lying to my face.”

It comes as former player Dan shared his thoughts on Traitor Minah’s gameplay. He told The Mirror: “Really proud of the game that she’s playing because she’s balancing strategy and social excellently, in my opinion. I did have a suspicion in those last few days [that a Traitor would be someone I was really close to].” Dan noted that up until his banishment, he hadn’t received a single vote and the bank risk manager said he suspected he would have been “taken out of the game unless there was a reason for it”.

Dan – who also shared his thoughts on how Linda played the game in the interview – suggested that Minah had stayed under the radar through “acting like a team player” and “not bringing any attention to herself”. He continued: “She’s having lots of conversations with individuals across the whole castle. She’s really building those social bonds.”

The Traitors airs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.* Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
