What Mike Tyson did immediately after Anthony Joshua beat Francis Ngannou

Mike Tyson immediately took to social media following Anthony Joshua’s stunning knockout victory over Francis Ngannou.

Joshua scored a sensational second round win over Ngannou in the main-event of Friday’s showdown.

He floored the former UFC champion in the opening round before ending the contest in the following round with two knockdowns.

Joshua and Ngannou spoke inside the ring following the result.

And Tyson Fury, who watched the action unfold from ringside, gave an honest reaction to his fellow countryman’s victory.

As soon as ‘AJ’ defeated ‘The Predator’, ‘Iron’ Mike took to social media – but he didn’t share his thoughts on the fight.

Instead, the boxing legend promoted his shock clash against Jake Paul, which was announced during Joshua vs. Ngannou fight week.

Tyson shared details of his bout against Paul, which takes place on July 20, carried by Netflix.

The 57-year-old clearly knew what he was doing by posting his tweet immediately after the conclusion of Joshua vs. Ngannou.

It would have been a deliberate ploy to announce and promote Tyson vs. Paul on the week of Joshua vs. Ngannou.

The announcement of Tyson vs. Paul came on Thursday as they looked to piggyback off the buzz of the Riyadh showdown.

It’s JAKE PAUL vs. MIKE TYSON — yes, really! — in a LIVE BOXING event at AT&T Stadium you won’t want to miss. Airing live on Netflix Saturday, July 20 #PaulTyson

Eddie Hearn hit out at the booking, but Paul’s promoter Nakisa Bidarian believes it will be the biggest boxing event in in the sport’s modern history.

“Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is a once-in-a-lifetime dream matchup and I anticipate it will be the most-watched boxing event in modern boxing history,” he said in a statement.

Tyson added: “[Paul has] grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT.

“It’s a full-circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch, as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones, and now I plan to finish him.”
