Tom Cruise won’t be rekindling his old friendship with David and Victoria Beckham any time soon, according to sources.

Tom Cruise may have once been close to David and Victoria Beckham but they haven’t been spotted out together for years and the actor has “no intention” to change this.

The Inter Miami club co-owner is at the heart of the newly released four-episode Beckham documentary on Netflix, giving an insight into his personal and professional life.

From the ex-footballer’s childhood and rise to success to his alleged affair with Rebecca Loos and the stresses of fame, Beckham really delves into the famous couple’s lives.

One element of their life in the spotlight that wasn’t covered was the once strong friendship with Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise.

David, 48, and Victoria, 49, became close with the 61-year-old star when they moved to Los Angeles in 2007 and were often seen out and about together with his now ex-wife Katie Holmes.

But sources have since claimed they no longer talk, with Cruise not keen on repairing their friendship.

“Tom did everything for them when they first moved to LA. He practically gave them the keys to the city,” an insider told the National Enquirer.

“He threw them a party to meet everyone important, and the moment they were established they chucked him!”

The source went on to explain that David and Victoria had “tested the waters a while ago” with Tom but nothing came of it.

They added: “He’s still angry and has no intention of being friends again.”

Radar Online reported, however, that the couple took a step back from the Top Gun star as he was allegedly eager to get them involved in Scientology.

Their source commented: “What was an issue was the pressure to join Scientology,” adding how he “wouldn’t take no for an answer”.

This resulted in David and Victoria having “no choice but to pull away” from Tom.

The famous trio were last seen together in 2013 when they attended an NHL game, the San Jose Sharks vs Los Angeles Kings.

It isn’t clear how much they have spoken in the past 10 years or if their friendship could be mended in the future.

Tom is believed to be single with his ex-girlfriend Hayley Atwell now engaged to music producer Ned Wolfgang Kelly.
