Special edition custom shorts for UFC 300 are REVEALED by Venum – before they rush to delete images – with Max Holloway set to wear Hawaiian-themed pair for Justin Gaethje showdown

Special edition UFC 300 shorts will be worn by fighters at the historic event this Saturday, with images posted of the attire online.

Venum, who are the sponsor for the UFC’s apparel, posted pictures of the various custom items on their website.

Interestingly, they then swiftly took the pictures down, but X account La Sueur shared them on social media.

TNT Sports also shared an composite of Max Holloway in the special shorts he will wear on Saturday night for his huge fight against Justin Gaethje for the BMF title.

Holloway’s shorts feature a blue and red Hawaiian floral design in homage to his home.

Gaethje’s are more similar to the usual shorts worn on standard cards and are black with a white and grey pattern in the background.

Strawweight champion Zhang Weili’s version is bright pink with aspects of gold to reflect her status at the top of the division, a position she’s out to defend against Chinese compatriot Yan Xiaonan.

Alex Pereira, who headlines the card in his light-heavyweight title defence against Jamahal Hill, will don a pair with indigenous Brazilian print.

Venum described the shorts as part of the ‘Adrenaline Unrivaled’ collection, writing: ‘The four unique fighters represented across this collection, each known for their unrivaled talent and global contributions to the sport, are set to perform on the best fight card ever assembled.’

And TNT Sports also shared a picture of Aljamain Sterling in a custom UFC 300 black bomber jacket ahead of his featherweight debut against Calvin Kattar.

The new shorts are not the only apparel change for the event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this weekend, with ‘glove presentation’ on the UFC agenda for Friday.

Whether the design is to be changed in a bid to combat eye pokes or there will simply be a cosmetic alteration or new sponsor remains to be seen.

Evidently the UFC are pulling out all the stops to mark out UFC 300 as a distinct event in the company’s history.

It remains to be seen if they have any other surprises up their sleeve, with some fans predicting a possible announcement over Conor McGregor’s return to action on the night.
