New footage of Tyson Fury leaving the ring says it all after controversial Francis Ngannou win

Tyson Fury didn’t appear to be his normal self as he left the ring following his victory over Francis Ngannou.

The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ narrowly defeated the UFC star via a split decision, with two judges scoring 96-93 and 95-94 in favour of Fury and the other judge scoring the fight 95-94 in favour of Ngannou.

Indeed, it was by no means a walk in the park for Fury, who controversially clinched the win after an action-packed 10 rounds, with fans believing Ngannou was robbed of the win.

Fury survived a third-round knockdown after his opponent landed a vicious left hook, and may feel fortunate to have his undefeated record still intact.

In a video uploaded on the Fight Hub TV Youtube channel, the Englishman can be seen leaving the ring in a rather subdued manner, keeping his head down, barring the occasional nod to supporters.

Perhaps, even he realises he was lucky to get away with the win.

Speaking after the fight, Fury admitted that Ngannou had been one of his toughest opponents in the last 10 years, and it showed.

“That definitely wasn’t in the script,” he told TNT Sports.

“I got caught round the back of the head [for the knockdown]. I wasn’t hurt. I got up and got back to my boxing.

“He’s an awkward man and a good puncher and I respect him a lot. He’s given me one of my toughest fights of the last 10 years.”

While Ngannou, who was making his competitive boxing debut, was relatively stoic in his post-fight interviews.

However, he has since taken to social media to slam the judge’s decision.

He tweeted: “This boxing world [is] wild but some judges should be responsible for their actions. This type of stuff is what f****s up people’s career[s].”
