Mike Tyson issues clear prediction for Tyson Fury's heavyweight bout vs Francis Ngannou

Tyson Fury takes on Francis Ngannou later on this month in a heavyweight bout – and legend Mike Tyson has given a clear view on whom he believes will emerge victorious.

The Gypsy King takes on the UFC heavyweight star in a bout in Abu Dhabi on October 28, though Fury’s WBC title will not be on the line.

Fury was named after the former heavyweight champion and has an unbeaten record so far in his professional boxing career, with 33 wins and one draw so far.

Tyson, 57, is training Ngannou ahead of the bout against Fury, something that the WBC heavyweight champion’s father John admits is irritating, given he named his son after the retired fighter.

And given he is training Ngannou, he has predicted a victory for the MMA fighter and has even tipped him to knock Fury out and inflict the first loss of his professional career.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Tyson said: “I am helping Ngannou.

“I am learning what he is able to do. He’s able to do so much more than I anticipated.

“He has what it takes to knock out anything or anybody standing in his way.

“Once he lands a punch on Tyson Fury’s jaw he is going to knock him out too. Nobody can survive that.

“Fury’s not the all-time great but he’s one of the all-time greats. He’s really high up. He can do greatness right now.

“He’s always going to bring a good night of boxing, fight hard. You’ve got to try and hit him with a shot to knock him cold out because he always gets back up and fights hard.”

We shall find out what happens later this month.
