Mike Tyson and Francis Ngannou start verbal war with Tyson Fury ahead of highly anticipated October fight

The two boxers have been going back and forth at each other on social media

With just under two months before Tyson Fury’s epic heavyweight boxing showdown with Francis Ngannou, the mind games have already begun.

The latest verbal spat between the two giants was started after Mike Tyson, who has been training Ngannou ahead of the fight, posted a video on Instagram of Cameroonian sparring in the gym with the caption “we’re just getting started @francis_ngannou, remember that.”

It didn’t take long for Fury, who is well-known for his trash talk, to hit back at the pair.

“Everyone has a plan until… these Lancaster Bombers hit you square in the face come fight night,” he replied shortly after.

Second fight since return to boxing

As seen in his new Netflix show, the Gypsy King’s retirement didn’t last long. After announcing his withdrawal from the sport and consequently relinquishing his Ring title on 12 August 2022, Fury’s return was confirmed just a few months later on 20 October 2022 when it was announced that he would fight Derek Chisora at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in December.

After failing to agree terms for a new contract in Janurary 2023Ngannou decided to make the move to boxing to compete in the in the Professional Fighters League ‘s pay-per-view ‘super fight’ division just last year.

His fight against Fury, which will take place in Saudi Arabia on October 28, will be a huge test for the former UFC star- Fury has 33 wins, no losses, and 1 draw from 34 fights over his career.
