WHEN it comes to dressing for the red carpet, David and Victoria Beckham rarely let us down, so when they arrived together at the coveted Met Gala last night, it was certainly a sight to behold.
The couple, who have both topped a number of best dressed lists over the years, looked every inch the power couple as they made their way up the red carpet, opting for matching monochrome looks as they posed hand-in-hand.
Victoria showed off her flair for fashion in a white column dress from her own collection, while David looked typically dapper in a matching white blazer, black trousers and a bow tie.
The pair have graced the red carpet in an array of matching outfits in the past, including double denim and matching leather, however their simple but stylish looks last night proved that they’ve definitely come a long way when it comes to the style stakes.
40-year-old Victoria was the perfect advert for her fashion line as she posed up a storm for photographers, with her fancy frock showing off her slender figure and golden tan a treat.
She teamed the strapless number with pair of diamond-drop earrings, a statement ring and matching bracelet, but kept the rest of her look simple and elegant.
She wore her hair in a side parting, and let her long brunette locks flow over her shoulder.
Meanwhile, David couldn’t have looked prouder of his wife as he happily posed alongside her, showing off his enviable physique in the form-fitting blazer.
The pair – who left their four children at home for their rare night out – weren’t the only ones to match though, with a number of A-list couples opting for similar looks.
New couple Charlize Theron and Sean Penn also enjoyed a matching monochrome theme as they arrived hand in hand at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where the event was being held.
Looking happier than ever, the twosome smiled and joked as they made their way into the venue – with Charlize showing off her figure in a black and white floor-sweeper and Sean in a black tuxedo.
