BREAKING: KSI vs Tommy Fury result has been changed

Tommy Fury beat KSI to move to 10-0 after a six-round contest in Manchester.

BREAKING: KSI vs Tommy Fury result has been changed

The result for the fight between KSI vs Tommy Fury has been changed, less than a day after the Misfits Boxing main event.

Fury followed up his win over Jake Paul in February by beating the Nightmare at the AO Arena in his hometown of Manchester.

The six-round fight went the distance and the judges gave the win to ‘TNT’ – with KSI calling the decision a “robbery” and “outrageous”.

It was announced as a majority decision win but the judges’ scorecards emerged online and showed that one was actually incorrect.

Now, as per journalist and talkSPORT online boxing editor Michael Benson, the outcome has been corrected to an unanimous decision victory for Fury.

‼️ Tommy Fury’s win over KSI has now been CORRECTED to a unanimous decision, not a majority decision, because one of the judges’ scorecards was added up incorrectly. His card was announced as a 57-57 draw, when he actually scored it 57-56 to Fury – same as the other two judges.

KSI, who actually had a better punch percentage than his opponent, will be further incensed as it is confirmed that all three judges believed Fury was the victor.

Michael Buffer announced that judge Rafael Ramos scored the fight a 57-57 draw but he actually scored it the same as the two other judges ringside.

Fury was docked a point for hitting KSI on the back of the head but still emerged victorious.

In the ring after the fight, an angry KSI did not take the loss well and said he would appeal the decision.

While interviewed by Ariel Helwani on DAZN, he told Fury: “How many jabs did you land? You got hardly any shots off. Look at your face, look at your eyes. I’m the YouTuber and you’re the boxer, you have to win.

“The amount of times he hit me in the back of the head and the referee only gave one point, and he was doing it over and over.

“It’s outrageous. We’re gonna appeal. We need to appeal. I feel like I won that.”

DAZN CEO Joe Markowski and Matchroom chief Eddie Hearn both felt as though KSI was the rightful winner, as did former middleweight champion Chris Eubank.

KSI suffered his first professional defeat in narrow fashion but Fury’s dad John has expressed interest in a rematch happening in the future.

It seems as though his youngest son has other ideas though, as he stressed that he was “done” by influencer boxing.

He commented: “”He goes his way, I go mine. I’m done with all this s***.

“All this crossover s***. I’m not part of that, I’m here to fight and we go on to the next challenge now.”
