Prince Harry & Meghan Markle ‘hijacked’ Sussex name for their own good – we deplore them, blasts Lady Colin Campbell
LADY Colin Campbell has blasted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for “hijacking” the Sussex name for their own good.
The former I’m a Celebrity contestant has set herself on a collision course with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after the launch of their new website.

The pair set up sussex.com this week using their Sussex titles in what has been branded “a betrayal” of their Megxit agreement.
Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, quit their royal duties back in 2020 amid simmering tensions between them and other family members.
It emerged last week they had rebranded their Archewell site which now redirects to their new one.
Now, Lady Colin Campbell has revealed she has bought the domain names dukeandduchessofsussex.co.uk and officialsussex.com.
And the 74-year-old has accused the couple of hijacking the county’s name for their own purposes.
The Royal biographer, who lives in a castle in Goring, West Sussex, says she will only hand it over if Harry and Meghan axe their website.
She said: “It is not only an imposition to the people of Sussex but is also an impertinence, in that their website has nothing to do with the county, but the domain name gives the misleading impression that it does.
“The geographic assignment of their title might share a name with the county, but they are not representatives of the county, nor do many of its residents share their values.
Prince Harry says he has considered becoming an American citizen
“In fact, many deplore what they represent, and it would surely have been more appropriate for them to have had a domain name along the lines of dukeandduchessofsussex.co.uk.”
It comes as The Sun on Sunday revealed Prince Harry was “blocked” from joining the King at Sandringham during his visit to the UK.
Palace aides feared “they’d never get rid of him” after Harry jetted over 5,000 miles from California to be with his cancer-stricken dad.
Charles, 75, is staying at the 20,000 acre East Anglian estate as he undergoes treatment for cancer.
The 39-year-old planned for a long heart-to-heart with the King but got 45 minutes.
Just six minutes after Harry left the meeting, the King and Queen made their way by Bentley to a helicopter in the Buckingham Palace gardens before flying to Sandringham.
Harry – having hoped to join the King for a few days at Sandringham – was instead forced into a hotel for the night.
He flew back to wife Meghan, 42, and their two kids in California after spending just 26 hours in the UK.
‘I LOVE MY FAMILY’
The Duke was joined by Meghan for three days this week in Whistler and Vancouver to promote next year’s Games.
In an interview on Friday with Good Morning America, Harry discussed his dad’s health, family life and even American citizenship.
Harry told Good Morning America “I love my family” and then described how “illness can have a reunifying effect”.
Speaking at the Winter Invictus Games’ One Year to Go event in Whistler, Canada, the Duke added: “Throughout all these families, I see it all on a day to day basis.
“The strength of the family unit coming together.”
He also revealed how kids Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, have “incredible” senses of humour.
Harry added: “The kids are doing great. The kids are growing up like all kids do very very fast.
“They both got an incredible sense of humour and make us laugh and keep us grounded every single day like most kids do. I am just very grateful to be a dad.”
He even revealed he had considered applying for American citizenship but stressed it was “not a high priority”.
On Friday, singer Michael Bublé serenaded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – with the singer hailing the Duke a “visionary”.
The Canadian crooner, 48, re-worded Frank Sinatra’s epic “My Way” in a nod to Harry at a gala dinner to close the Invictus Games’ “One Year To Go” event.
Bublé also expressed “healing wishes for your dad” in tribute to cancer-stricken King Charles.
Harry and Meghan are thought to be travelling home to Montecito, California, this weekend.
