Good Morning Britain’s Scarlette Douglas couldn’t hide her irritation when her colleague Andi Peters dropped a Love Island spoiler on air.

The cheerful A Place In The Sun host has been gracing the GMB set this week, delivering the latest entertainment updates from both sides of the pond. On Thursday (July 11), she joined Kate Garraway and Ed Balls in the studio, ready to chat about England’s recent triumph in The UEFA European Football Championships.

Before Scarlette could take the lead, however, Andi Peters chimed in from the Love Island villa. Reporting live from Mallorca, he toured the iconic location for love-seekers, lounging on the famous deck chairs and approaching the bedroom doors.

In the midst of revealing details about the current competition, Andi let slip a significant piece of news that some viewers might have missed the previous evening. When Ed jokingly cautioned Andi against venturing into the bedrooms to avoid any unwelcome sights, Andi retorted: “I tell what you won’t find, Jess because she’s gone! “.

Scarlette later expressed her frustration: “I didn’t watch Love Island, I had to watch the game. So spoiler alert, thanks Andi! “, reports the Mirror.

Due to the overlap with the football match, where England secured a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands, Love Island’s broadcast time was moved to 10pm last night. Consequently, fans who opted to stay with the football may have skipped watching Love Island entirely.

During the latest episode, viewers were hit with a shock as four islanders were abruptly dumped from the villa following the results of the most recent public vote.

Hugo, Blade, Emma, and original contestant Jess were told to pack their bags and leave immediately. While Jess’ exit stunned her villa mates, reactions among fans were mixed.

One viewer expressed their feelings on social media, saying: “England in the euro finals and Jess finally out of love island.”

However, another fan suggested that Jess deserved more time, implying that it should have been someone else’s turn to depart. Their comment read: “We could’ve left og jess in another day. YOU PEOPLE LEFT JESSICA IN THAT VILLA.”
