“Shockwaves Across the Nation!” — Joanna Lumley and Rylan Clark’s Fearless Live TV Moment Leaves Viewers in Tears and Awe as They Speak Unfiltered Truths No One Else Dared to Say, Sparking a Firestorm of Emotion and Debate Across Britain

In a time when public figures often tread carefully around sensitive issues, two of Britain’s most recognizable television personalities — Dame Joanna Lumley and Rylan Clark — have emerged as unexpected voices of courage. Their recent comments on the UK’s growing migration crisis have sparked national debate, dividing opinion but earning both stars praise for their honesty and bravery.

Joanna Lumley, known for her elegance and sharp intellect, stunned audiences this week when she declared that the UK — “a small island nation” — simply “cannot feed millions.” Her words, though simple, struck a nerve. While critics accused her of being out of touch, thousands across the country applauded her for saying what many silently believe but are too afraid to express.

“Joanna’s not being cruel — she’s being real,” one supporter wrote online. “Someone finally said it.”

Meanwhile, Rylan Clark, the outspoken television host known for his quick wit and candor, made headlines of his own after describing the government’s immigration policies as “absolutely insane.” On This Morning, Rylan boldly defended the difference between supporting legal immigration and condemning illegal routes — a distinction that many politicians have avoided making publicly.

“You can be pro-immigration and still against chaos,” he insisted, a statement that instantly trended across social media.

The comments have earned both Lumley and Clark waves of backlash from critics and activists — but also admiration from ordinary Britons who feel ignored by mainstream voices. Despite facing complaints to Ofcom and intense media scrutiny, Rylan stood firm, later clarifying that his point was about fairness and balance, not exclusion.

For Lumley, her remarks echo decades of advocacy work on humanitarian issues — from refugees to sustainable development — proving her concern stems from compassion, not prejudice. She later emphasized the need for a “global approach” to migration that helps people at the source rather than overwhelming small host nations.

Yet one thing unites these two stars: neither is backing down. In an era where most celebrities fear cancellation or controversy, Joanna Lumley and Rylan Clark have done the unthinkable — they spoke their truth.

And whether you agree with them or not, Britain is talking. Loudly.

“She Looks at Us Like We’re Strangers” — Pauline Quirke’s Heartbreaking Battle with Dementia Leaves Family and Friends in Tears

For decades, Pauline Quirke was the beating heart of British television — the quick-witted, big-hearted star whose laughter lit up millions of homes. From her unforgettable role in Birds of a Feather to her enduring friendship with Linda Robson, Pauline embodied warmth, humor, and humanity. But now, behind closed doors, a devastating reality unfolds — one that has left her loved ones shattered.

Today, Pauline, 65, is battling advanced dementia, and her family has confirmed the heartbreaking truth: she no longer recognizes the people who meant the most to her.

    💔 A Heartbreaking Decline

According to a close family source, the change came gradually — first, forgetting small things, like where she left her keys or the name of a familiar song. But as months passed, the light in her eyes began to fade.

“She looks at us like we’re strangers,” the source shared softly. “One day she called her husband by the wrong name, and another, she looked at her son and asked who he was. That was the moment we knew… we were losing her.”Pauline Quirke has dementia

For a woman known for her fierce independence and sharp sense of humor, the diagnosis has been cruel. Pauline — who once commanded laughter from entire studios — now lives in a quiet, protected environment surrounded by care staff and family who love her deeply but know she may never truly know them again.

😢 “She Doesn’t Know Me Anymore”

Among those most affected is Linda Robson, Pauline’s lifelong friend and Birds of a Feather co-star. Their friendship was one of television’s most beloved — two women who grew up together, weathered fame together, and stood by each other through life’s storms.

But now, Linda faces the unbearable truth that her best friend no longer knows her.

    Friendship memory keepsakes

“Linda tried to visit,” says one insider. “She sat beside Pauline, holding her hand, talking to her the way she always has. But Pauline just smiled politely and asked if she was a nurse. Linda was heartbroken — she had to step outside to cry.”

For Linda, who has always described Pauline as her “soul sister,” this loss feels like mourning someone who’s still here. “It’s grief in slow motion,” one family friend said. “You watch the person you love disappear piece by piece.”

Linda Robson tearfully opens up on Pauline Quirke friendship

Pauline’s husband and son have become her full-time anchors, navigating the endless cycles of confusion and clarity. “Some mornings she wakes up cheerful, asking what’s for breakfast,” a source shared. “Other days, she’s frightened because she doesn’t recognize her own home. It’s devastating.”

    Celebrity biography books

Despite the pain, they remain devoted — choosing love, patience, and dignity over despair. Friends say her husband has vowed to stay by her side “until the very end,” calling it “the hardest and most sacred promise” he’s ever made.

    💞 Remembering the Light

In the world’s eyes, Pauline Quirke will forever be remembered as the woman who made us laugh until we cried. But for those closest to her, she will also be remembered as the woman who loved without limits — a mother, a wife, a friend, and a fighter.

Linda Robson, in a quiet tribute, reportedly told friends, “Even if she doesn’t remember me… I’ll remember her for both of us.”

Those words capture the essence of true friendship — one that transcends memory, fame, and even the cruel grasp of dementia.

    🙏 A Nation’s Love

As news of Pauline’s heartbreaking condition spreads, fans across the UK have flooded social media with messages of love and support. “She made us laugh when we needed it most — now it’s our turn to be there for her,” one fan wrote.

    Family games

Thousands have shared clips from Birds of a Feather, remembering her infectious laugh, her honesty, and her magic on screen. “She’ll never know how many hearts she touched,” another commented.

    💔 “Goodnight, My Friend”

For those who knew her best, Pauline’s story is not just one of loss — but of love that refuses to fade. Though she may no longer recognize faces or names, her legacy remains etched in every heart she touched.

As one close friend said, “The world may forget what she said, but it will never forget how she made us feel.”

Tonight, the laughter may have grown quiet, but the love — the love remains.

“KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH”: Kat Izzo Proclaims TOTAL LIBERATION, Alleging Her Time With Dale Was a ‘SOUL-SUCKING’ Mistake and Swearing to Ensure He Remains SOCIALLY ERASED From Her 2026 Comeback and swearing to ensure he remains “socially erased” from her 2026 comeback

Bachelor in Paradise alum Kat Izzo is looking forward to a clean slate in the new year.

“All D.M.’s left in 2025 💀,” Kat, 29, wrote via TikTok on Friday, January 2, alongside a video of herself lip-synching to Nicki Minaj saying, “I took some time off to rest and now it’s game time, bitches.”

Without concretely explaining her 2026 plans, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that the “D.M.” initials could refer to a social media direct message or Kat’s ex-boyfriend Dale Moss.

“Caption is crazyyyy love it tho,” one TikTok follower replied, while another added, “You deaded it fr,” both of which Kat “liked.”

Kat and Dale, 37, started dating on Bachelor in Paradise season 10 last summer despite multiple love triangles. As other women pursued Dale, he stressed to Kat that she had nothing to be concerned about since he “deaded” the conversations. (Kat, meanwhile, was confused since “deaded” is not a word in the dictionary.)

Us Weekly confirmed in November 2025 that Kat and Dale broke up months after leaving the BiP beaches as an official couple.

“[There’s] no engagement talks or anything like that,” Dale previously said on a September 2025 episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “I think, like, you have the show and we built the foundation there. When we talk about after the show [ended] in June, it was still a deep exploration phase for both of us.”

He continued, “We had many conversations, things that sprung up with both of us [and] weren’t created by the other partner. Now, moving forward, we’re just in a very, very strong place.”

According to Dale, he predicted that the pair would reach many relationship milestones together.

“I was never a big dater before. For me, it’s always been taking [the] time to meet someone and get to understand them well,” Dale said. “The relationship will form in its own [time], but I’m not trying to waste my time. I’m not trying to waste anyone else’s time. We’re not just going to casually hang out. There’s certain things that you share ‘cause you’re proud of, but there’s also things that you keep tight.”

Despite keeping their relationship private, Dale admitted he still had plenty of affection for Kat.

“Like I said on the show, I love and care for Kat deeply,” he revealed at the time. “We have all these conversations of what it looks like if [our future includes a] kid, a home [and] what we want. I’ve never fazed [being in] a relationship.”

Kat, meanwhile, revealed she also felt “the love is there” between the then-couple.

“We do express that to one another. Now, we’re moving to the fact that we’re going to be public, and then it’s going to have its own things,” Kat said. “Honestly, we can probably grow even deeper. It’s still really difficult to try to build a relationship in private [and while doing] long distance.”

Kat was briefly engaged to John Henry Spurlock after they met during BiP season 9, which was filmed in 2023. Dale, meanwhile, had proposed to Clare Crawley on her season 16 of The Bachelorette in 2020. After the pair broke up the next year, Dale dated HGTV personality Galey Alix.

HEARTBREAKING FOR THE 𝚁𝙾𝚈𝙰𝙻𝚂 AS LITTLE LUCAS TINDALL DIAGNOSED WITH RARE GENETIC CONDITION!

London, December 23, 2025 — In a moment that left the nation reeling, the set of ITV’s Good Morning Britain plunged into an eerie silence this morning as host Susanna Reid paused mid-segment, her voice trembling with emotion. With a heavy heart, she announced the devastating news that has sent shockwaves through the United Kingdom and beyond: 4-year-old Lucas Philip Tindall, the adorable great-grandson of the late Queen Elizabeth II and grandson of Princess Anne, has been diagnosed with oculocutaneous albinism (OCA), a rare genetic condition that affects the pigmentation of the skin, hair, and eyes. The revelation, confirmed by sources close to the royal family, has prompted an outpouring of sympathy from fans, celebrities, and even fellow royals, as the public grapples with the implications for this young boy’s future.

The announcement came abruptly during a light-hearted discussion on holiday traditions within the royal family. Reid, visibly shaken, read from a prepared statement: “We are deeply saddened to report that Lucas has just been diagnosed with an unfortunate illness, which is oculocutaneous albinism. Our thoughts are with Zara, Mike, and the entire Tindall family during this difficult time.” Co-host Ed Balls appeared stunned, offering words of support as the camera panned to a montage of Lucas’s cheerful public appearances, his striking white-blonde hair now taking on a poignant new meaning. Viewers at home were left choking back tears, with social media erupting in messages of love and solidarity. Hashtags like #PrayForLucas and #TindallStrong trended within minutes, amassing millions of interactions.

Lucas Philip Tindall, born on March 21, 2021, at the family’s home in Gatcombe Park, Gloucestershire, is the youngest child of Zara Tindall, an Olympic equestrian and daughter of Princess Anne, and her husband Mike Tindall, a former England rugby captain. Weighing 8lbs 4oz at birth, Lucas arrived dramatically on the bathroom floor, as Mike later shared in a podcast, adding a touch of humor to what was already a joyous occasion for the family. He joins older sisters Mia Grace (born 2014) and Lena Elizabeth (born 2018), completing a lively household known for its down-to-earth vibe amidst the grandeur of royal connections. Lucas’s middle name, Philip, honors both his great-grandfather, the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and his paternal grandfather, Philip Tindall.

From his earliest days, Lucas has captured hearts with his infectious energy and mischievous antics. Photos from public events show him toddling alongside his xparents at horse trials, sticking out his tongue playfully at photographers, or cheering on his mother during equestrian competitions.

At the 2022 Platinum Jubilee celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II, a then-1-year-old Lucas made his debut, charming onlookers with his wide-eyed wonder. More recently, he was spotted at Cheltenham Racecourse on New Year’s Day 2025, delighting crowds with his cheeky behavior while supporting his parents. His bright, almost ethereal white-blonde hair has always been a standout feature, often compared to the platinum locks of his mother Zara in her youth or even his great-great-grandfather Prince Philip as a child. Little did the public know that this distinctive trait was a harbinger of a deeper genetic condition.

Oculocutaneous albinism, often simply referred to as albinism, is a group of inherited disorders characterized by a reduction or complete absence of melanin pigment in the skin, hair, and eyes. Melanin is the substance responsible for coloring these tissues and also plays a crucial role in protecting the body from ultraviolet (UV) radiation and aiding in visual development. Without sufficient melanin, individuals with OCA are prone to a range of challenges, both physical and social. There are several subtypes of OCA, with types 1 through 7 identified based on the specific genetic mutations involved. Type 1, for instance, is marked by stark white hair, very pale skin, and light-colored irises, while Type 2 may present with slightly more pigmentation but still significant visual impairments.

In children like Lucas, symptoms typically manifest from birth or early infancy. The most visible signs include extremely light skin that burns easily in the sun, white or very light hair, and eyes that may appear pinkish or light blue due to the translucency of the iris allowing blood vessels to show through. However, the condition extends far beyond cosmetics. Ocular issues are a hallmark of OCA, often leading to reduced visual acuity, nystagmus (involuntary eye movements), strabismus (misaligned eyes), and extreme sensitivity to light, known as photophobia. These vision problems arise because melanin is essential for the proper development of the retina and optic nerves during fetal growth. Without it, the visual pathways in the brain may not form correctly, resulting in lifelong impairments that can affect learning, mobility, and daily activities.

Causes of OCA are purely genetic, stemming from mutations in genes responsible for melanin production, such as TYR, OCA2, TYRP1, and SLC45A2. It is an autosomal recessive disorder, meaning both parents must carry the mutated gene for a child to be affected. In Lucas’s case, this raises intriguing questions about the royal family’s genetic history. While Zara and Mike Tindall have not publicly commented on their carrier status, experts speculate that the trait could trace back through the Windsor lineage, where fair features are common. Historical records even suggest possible instances of albinism among royals, such as Edward the Confessor, the 11th-century King of England, who was described with white hair and pale skin, attributes that some historians attribute to albinism. Similarly, the conqueror Timur (Tamerlane) and the mythical Persian figure Zal are cited in medieval texts as having albinistic traits, often viewed with a mix of awe and suspicion in their eras.

Inbreeding, a historical practice among European royalty to preserve bloodlines, has been linked to increased risks of genetic disorders, including facial deformities and other anomalies. While the modern British royal family has diversified its gene pool through marriages like that of Prince William to Catherine Middleton or Prince Harry to Meghan Markle, echoes of past consanguinity might still linger. Dr. Elena Rossi, a geneticist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, explains: “Albinism occurs in about 1 in 17,000 births worldwide, but in families with a history of close relations, the odds can shift. For Lucas, this diagnosis highlights how even in privileged circles, genetics play no favorites.”

Diagnosis of OCA in children is typically straightforward but multifaceted. It begins with a physical examination noting the lack of pigmentation, followed by a comprehensive eye exam to assess visual function. Genetic testing confirms the specific subtype by sequencing the relevant genes. For Lucas, sources indicate the diagnosis came after routine pediatric check-ups revealed subtle vision issues, such as difficulty focusing on objects or squinting in bright light. His parents, ever vigilant, sought specialist advice at a leading London clinic, where tests confirmed OCA Type 1A, the most severe form, characterized by complete absence of melanin production. This subtype often leads to profound vision loss, with acuity as low as 20/200, legally blind in many contexts.

The emotional toll on the Tindall family cannot be overstated. Zara, 44, a resilient athlete who has overcome her own challenges including miscarriages before Lucas’s birth, is said to be devastated yet determined. Mike, 47, known for his jovial personality on podcasts like The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, has reportedly canceled upcoming appearances to focus on family. Princess Anne, Lucas’s grandmother and a pillar of strength in the royal family, has been by their side, drawing from her own experiences with public scrutiny. A palace insider revealed: “The family is rallying around Lucas. They’re committed to giving him the best life possible, but the news has hit hard, especially with the holidays approaching.”

Public reaction has been overwhelmingly supportive, contrasting with historical stigmas surrounding albinism. In ancient times, individuals with the condition were sometimes revered as divine or, conversely, persecuted as omens of ill fortune. In precolonial Africa, albinos faced dangers, including ritual killings, while in medieval Europe, they were often isolated or feared. Today, advocacy groups like the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation (NOAH) in the US and Albinism Fellowship in the UK are stepping up, offering resources and raising awareness. Celebrities such as model Shaun Ross, who has albinism, have shared messages of encouragement on social media, emphasizing that “albinism is a difference, not a disability.”

For Lucas, treatment focuses on management rather than cure, as there is no remedy for the underlying genetic defect. Skin protection is paramount: broad-spectrum sunscreen, protective clothing, and hats to prevent sunburn and skin cancer risks. Eye care includes prescription glasses with tinted lenses, visual aids like magnifiers, and therapies to address nystagmus and strabismus, possibly including surgery. Early intervention is key; children with OCA benefit from occupational therapy to develop fine motor skills and educational support for low vision, such as large-print materials or assistive technology. Behavioral and neurological aspects are also considered, as visual impairments can impact motor development and social interactions.

Experts predict Lucas’s prognosis is positive with proper care. Many individuals with albinism lead fulfilling lives, excelling in careers from arts to sciences. Dr. Rossi notes: “With advancements in gene therapy on the horizon, future treatments might even restore some pigmentation or vision. For now, it’s about empowerment.” The royal family’s platform could amplify awareness, much like how other royals have championed causes—Princess Diana with AIDS, or King Charles with environmentalism.

As the nation processes this news, images of children with albinism serve as reminders of resilience.

    n

Lucas, with his spirited personality, is poised to inspire. In a statement released this afternoon, the Tindalls expressed gratitude: “We are touched by the love shown to Lucas. He is our little fighter, and we’ll face this together.”

This heartbreaking diagnosis underscores the fragility of life, even in the spotlight. As Christmas nears, the thoughts of millions are with Lucas and his family, hoping for brighter days ahead.

“Four Years, One Final Rose”: Bachelor Nation’s Chris Bukowski FINALLY POPS THE QUESTION to Anna Redman After Nearly 4 Years of Ups and Downs

After numerous seasons of searching for love and years together, Bachelor Nation’s Chris Bukowski and Anna Redman are officially engaged!

“Best friend. Fiancé. Future wifey,” Bukowski, 39, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, January 4, revealing that he popped the question to Redman, 29, on New Year’s Eve.

Mutual friends Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt initially set the couple up nearly four years earlier. After months of dating speculation, the pair made it official with an Instagram post in March 2022.

Leading up to their dating announcement, Bukowski appeared on the “She’s All Bach” podcast in January 2022 where he addressed the dating rumors and chose to neither confirm nor deny. “For the first time in a long time, I’m happy with no stress behind it,” he said at the time.

He and Redman would later take a trip to Costa Rica for a friend’s wedding. Bukowski posted some sweet photos of the two and wrote, “When ordering lobster mac n cheese without lobster starts to make total sense.”

On Redman’s birthday, Bukowski also shared some photos and wrote, “Happy birthday beautiful! I’m so thankful for you and hope this is your best year yet. I love you.”

Redman recently took to her Instagram Story and let her followers ask questions. One person asked what her favorite thing about Bukowski was, to which she responded: “Idk if I have a favorite thing because I like every single thing about the man.”

The Chicago natives both have a handful of posts that show them traveling together too. On June 1, Redman shared a snap of the two in Stillwater, Minnesota. Love is Blind’s Natalie Lee wrote in the comments: “Love this love.”

Just a week later, Bukowski and Redman ventured to Cabo where they stayed at a beach resort.

Redman is best known for appearing on Matt James’ season 25 of The Bachelor and season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise – both of which she left solo.

Bukowski, for his part, has the most appearances in Bachelor franchise history. Viewers first met Bukowski on Emily Maynard’s season 8 of The Bachelorette, and he later returned for Andi Dorfman’s season 10. During the time gap, he was runner-up on season 3 of Bachelor Pad. Like Redman, Bukowski also participated in Bachelor in Paradise. It was on season 6 in 2019 that he got engaged to Katie Morton, but the two called it quits in December later that year.

𝓣𝓗𝓔 𝓦𝓔𝓓𝓓𝓘𝓝𝓖 SECRET NO ONE SAW COMING It’s now emerged that Victoria Beckham played a quiet but powerful role at Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty’s wedding — dressing most of the bridal party

Victoria Beckham took on a ‘secret’ role at her friend Holly Ramsay’s wedding to Adam Peaty this weekend – which could see sales of her already popular fashion brand soar.

After family feud filled year of her own, Victoria managed to turn one of the most drama soaked celebrity weddings into a catwalk for her label.

The Beckham and Ramsay families have been close friends for years – a bond that saw the WAG turned fashion designer, 51, dress most of Holly’s bridal party for her wedding to the Olympian swimmer at Bath Abbey on Saturday.

Bridesmaids Megan and Tilly Ramsay, 27 and 24, and Bethany Peaty all wore the same elegant red satin midi dress from Victoria Beckham’s line which retail for £790.

Mother of the bride Tana, 51, also stunned in a forest green gown by her fashion mogul friend, with the same dress in different colours available on her website for £990.

Victoria dressed her own daughter Harper, 14, in a sleek £1,190 black satin dress which she paired with a black fur jacket and some sparkling heels.

Of course, she also took the opportunity to showcase her label on herself, wafting in to the venue in a £1,290 cut-out dark teal dress paired with her staple sunglasses.

However, it is not yet known whether or not Holly’s lace wedding gown – and the floor-length ivory cape she partially hid it under – were designed by her friend.

The blushing bride, 25, only allowed glimpses of her dress to peak through the wintery cape as she swept into Bath Abbey.

She and her groom, 30, beamed as they made their grand exit from the historic 7th-century building following their ceremony today.

They smiled as they made their way through an adoring crowd, keen to catch the loved-up couple, before they headed to the opulent Georgian manor, Kin House.

Meanwhile, Holly’s proud celebrity chef father, Gordon Ramsay, 59, was seen thanking members of the star-studded guest list, including the Beckhams, as they left the service.

But the run-up to the wedding has been anything but plain sailing, sparking a toxic family row that captured the nation and left Peaty’s family disinvited to the celebrations.

Whilst Adam’s sister Bethany was present at the ceremony, the rest of his family members were not and fueled further speculation of a rift by flying a Union Jack flag upside down while hundreds of miles.

Sitting at home more than 130 miles away in Staffordshire, Adam’s broken-hearted mother Caroline was said to be ‘beside herself’ with grief at missing what should have been one of the happiest days of her life.

Speaking from the council house where Adam grew up, the 59-year-old told The Mail on Sunday: ‘I’m not going to be hurt like this again’.

She had told Friday’s Daily Mail that she felt as if Holly and Adam ‘have cut my heart out’.

This newspaper can also reveal that, moments before he walked into the abbey clutching the hand of his five-year-old son George, Adam Peaty was sent a devastating text message by his aunt Louise, who was also not invited to the wedding.

In it, she wrote: ‘I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame.

‘Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams.’

The roots of this terrible family conflict go back to September 2024, when Adam and Holly snubbed wider members of the Peaty family by not inviting them to their engagement party.

Caroline, who spent years ferrying her son to early-morning training sessions, was also not invited to Holly’s glamorous hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds last month, even though the bride’s mother, Tana Ramsay, and friends including Victoria Beckham, were at the extravagant bash.

Despite everything Caroline sent a card and gift to her newlywed son for his 31st birthday today.

Meanwhile, Adam’s 73-year-old great-aunt Janet, who was also left out of yesterday’s wedding, told The Mail on Sunday: ‘I just feel so sorry for Caroline.

‘I can’t believe he’s done this to his mother who’s done so much for him from an early age. To be treated like this is not kind.’

Despite being shunned, devastated Caroline had threatened to turn up at the wedding anyway – and, if barred from entering the abbey, stand outside and watch from the street.

She said yesterday that she changed her mind after her husband Mark convinced her it would be ‘too upsetting’ to go along.

Had she defied her son’s ban, she would have found herself face-to-face with five security guards, placed in front of the abbey’s ancient and elaborately carved wooden doors, which were framed by decorative columns of white roses and hydrangeas.

The Ramsay family splashed out thousands on the venue, where weddings normally cost around £2,500, block-booking it for the day to ensure the service took place in absolute secrecy.

Having found fame and fortune for his foul-mouthed antics in the kitchen, Gordon Ramsay was on his best behaviour as he helped his daughter from a black Rolls-Royce which drew up outside the Gothic abbey at about 12.30pm.

He was seen whispering in her ear before kissing her cheek while an attendant straightened her crumpled outfit.

Buffeted by an icy wind, the pair were mobbed by well-wishers shouting ‘Merry Christmas’ as they passed.

Waiting inside for a first glimpse of the bride was a celebrity-studded congregation, including Sir David and Victoria Beckham, who are no strangers to family feuds themselves.

Their sons Romeo and Cruz and daughter Harper, who are close friends of the Ramsays, were also there – but not estranged son Brooklyn.

“I ALMOST DIDN’T MAKE IT…”  Behind the smiles on Strictly Come Dancing, Shirley Ballas was fighting a year from hҽll — a near-dҽath moment, stalker terror, and a dҽvastating family loss. What really happened off-camera will shock even her biggest fans…

It’s fair to say it’s been a tough 12 months for Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas.

The TV star has been back on screens in recent months for the 2025 series of the glitzy BBC One show. However, 2025 hasn’t exactly been plain sailing for Shirley – who is on James Martin’s Saturday Morning at Christmas today (December 28).

From a devastating family bereavement to her near-death experience on the show, here, ED! is taking a look back at Shirley’s rollercoaster 12 months.

    Shirley Ballas’ stalker hell

In January, a 37-year-old man was accused of sending messages to Shirley from 2017 to 2023. He allegedly appeared at South Sefton Magistrates’ Court in Bootle, Merseyside, where he was charged with stalking. He also received a separate charge of possessing cannabis.

A few months later, Shirley opened up about the stalking ordeal, revealing she wasn’t the only one targeted. Her friends, family and colleagues also received threats over six years after Kyle believed Shirley’s late brother, David Rich, was his father. In 2004, David died by suicide, which Kyle blamed her for.

In an interview with The Times, Shirley opened up about the horrific stalking ordeal. “It was message after message. ‘He died because of you.’ It made you feel like you committed murder,” she said.

Shirley’s mother, Audrey, 88, was massively affected. In 2021, she moved into Shirley’s London home as a safety precaution.
Shirley was concerned that her mother would be “followed around the supermarket”. She added: “It makes you more vigilant. We’ve got extra security everywhere we go now.”

    Shirley’s mum’s health condition

Shirley has been open over the years about watching her mother Audrey live with the lung disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). She told BBC Radio Manchester in November: “My mum’s a smoker and over these past three years, I’ve got to witness her being out of breath.

“I’ve got to witness her being really poorly. I’ve been opposite her when she couldn’t get a breath and was choking because the airways closed.”

The TV star also said that because of her mum’s condition, her mother becomes “nervous that if we go shopping – if she starts coughing – people are going stare at her”.

Shirley said: “So we only go out once a week now, it’ll be for two or three hours. She doesn’t care to go outside, she just prefers to be home which is kind of sad.”

And because of Shirley’s mum’s COPD battle, she is unable to spend Christmas with her son Mark, and grandson Banksi at Christmas – who live in the States.

“I see them [Mark and Banksi] five or six times a year at the moment, because obviously, with my mum being in remission of cancer, and now with the COPD, she can’t travel anymore, and I like to be at home with her,” she told the Mirror.

Shirley Ballas ‘nearly died’ on Strictly

In November, Shirley found herself in a near-death experience after not being able to breathe for 20 minutes before the live Strictly Blackpool show.

Taking to her Instagram story, in a video for her 413k followers to see, Shirley explained that she’d choked on a fish bone, and makeup artist Jane Burstow had to perform the Heimlich manoeuvre to dislodge it.

Shirley said: “It got lodged in my throat, and my wonderful Jane, who has been with me for nine years, did the Heimlich manoeuvre, and we got the bone out. But for 20 minutes there, it was lodged, and I couldn’t breathe, so it was terrifying.”

She added: “We’d have been a judge down tonight if it wasn’t for her. Gratitude to Jane because I panicked. I really thought that was it, the end, amen.”

    Shirley Ballas’ family death

Just days before the Strictly final in December, Shirley was hit with a devastating bereavement. On her Instagram, Shirley revealed that her aunt has sadly died.

The star shared a string of snaps for her 420k followers to see. The pictures consisted of pictures of Shirley and her aunt, Mavis, as well as ones of Mavis on her own whilst out and about, and with her sister, Shirley’s mum, Audrey.

“My dearest Auntie Mavis … where do I begin [love heart emoji]. How I’ll miss you so very much. I’ll miss all your sayings of ‘you’re right, love’, ‘do you know what I mean like love’, ‘yeah I know’ and I’d say ‘no you don’t know Mavis’. That one was my favourite,” Shirley captioned the post.

“Mavis was always there for me and my family, she had been like a second mum to me. Mum and I are sad you’re not here with us anymore, Mavis. We will treasure the memories. Mum has many that’s for sure. Her best friend of over 65 years,” she then continued.

Watch Shirley on James Martin’s Saturday Morning at Christmas on Sunday (December 28) at 7:25am.

From ballroom royalty to baby bliss, the golden couple of Strictly Come Dancing have once again captured the nation’s heart with a reveal that is equal parts magical, emotional and deeply personal.

After weeks of subtle hints, mysterious captions about “new beginnings” and carefully framed family moments on social media, the pair broke their silence with a moving announcement that left their loyal fanbase in tears — reminding everyone why Aljaž and Janette remain the soul of the Strictly family: sincere, grounded, wildly in love and endlessly inspiring.

💞 “We Needed To Hit Pause — And Rewrite The Script”

In a heartfelt interview, Janette, 41, and Aljaž, 35, shared that their second child is due in early 2026, arriving just as their firstborn daughter Lyra prepares to celebrate her second birthday.

“We’ve been holding this secret close for such a long time,” Janette confessed, gently resting a hand on her small but unmistakable bump. “Lyra’s first year was beautiful but chaotic — filming, parenting, sleepless nights, constant travel. This new baby feels like our cue to slow down, breathe, and rewrite the script.”

Aljaž, always the calm counterbalance to Janette’s infectious sparkle, added quietly:

“People see us dancing like nothing fazes us, but fatherhood changes everything. The real dance isn’t on the Strictly floor… it’s at home, in the quiet moments.”

Their announcement arrived with a breathtaking Instagram Reel: the couple slow-dancing in their sun-washed living room while little Lyra toddled between them, giggling with delight. As soft piano music swelled, an ultrasound clip appeared on screen with the caption:

“Our family’s growing… and so is our dream.”

Within minutes, the video racked up more than five million views, with fans flooding the comments in shattered-keyboard excitement:

    “We KNEW IT!”
    “The sparkle doubles!”
    “The Strictly royal family expands!”

👶 Baby No. 2 — And A Brave New Beginning

But the pregnancy isn’t the only life-changing news.

Alongside the announcement, Aljaž and Janette also revealed plans for their next major venture — a global online dance academy set to launch in spring 2026, titled Dance Without Limits.

“We want to bring ballroom to everyone,” Aljaž explained. “Kids dancing in tiny bedrooms, grandparents trying to waltz again, couples reconnecting — nobody needs fancy studios. Just passion.”

The academy will offer livestreamed classes, personalised coaching and interactive worldwide dance challenges, blending their two decades of combined Strictly experience with cutting-edge digital technology.

    Janette added with a smile:

“People have always messaged us saying, ‘Teach us like you taught each other.’ So we thought — why not teach the whole world?”

For them, it’s more than business — it’s a mission to make dance joyful, accessible and universal.

From the moment both were cast on Strictly in 2013, Aljaž and Janette became inseparable parts of the show’s magic. Their romance bloomed beneath the studio lights, leading to a glamorous wedding in 2016 and, years later, the miracle of their daughter Lyra — born after a long, emotional IVF journey.

“We wanted to be real about it,” Janette said. “Life isn’t perfect. Sometimes you fall out of step. But love teaches you how to move again.”

When Aljaž briefly stepped away from Strictly in 2021, rumours of burnout and homesickness swirled — but by 2024 he returned renewed, crediting fatherhood for grounding him.

“Dancing with a celebrity partner is a dream,” he reflected. “But coming home to Janette and Lyra? That’s the encore I’ll never stop wanting.”

💬 Internet Meltdown: Strictly Fans In Tears

The announcement sent Strictly Nation into collective hysteria, with fans declaring:

    · “This news has healed me!”
    · “From Blackpool lights to baby bottles — pure magic!”
    · “We’ve watched you fall in love for a decade. This feels like family news!”

    Even Strictly royalty joined in:

Tess Daly: “Double the sparkle! So thrilled for you both ❤️
Craig Revel Horwood: “Darlings, may your next baby inherit your FABULOUSNESS — and none of your timing issues!”
Claudia Winkleman: “I cried. Then danced. Obsessed. 🖤

💖 Their Legacy: Love, Rhythm & Resilience

As they prepare to welcome their second child, the couple insist they’re not stepping away from Strictly — only stepping into a new chapter.

“We’re still part of the Strictly family,” Aljaž said. “But this chapter is about teaching, creating and bringing dance to the world.”

A baby on the way. A global dream launching. A family growing. A love story still dancing into the nation’s heart.

From Loneliness to Love: The Untold Emotional Journey That Shaped Hamza Yassin

Hamza Yassin has long been admired for his calm presence, gentle wisdom and deep connection to the natural world. But in a rare and honest new interview, the much-loved wildlife presenter has revealed a more personal side — opening up about love, loneliness and what he hopes for the future.

Speaking candidly, Hamza admitted that he is currently single and has been for some time. Having lived alone since his university days, he says he has grown comfortable with solitude and independence. Yet behind that quiet contentment lies a simple, human longing

“I’ve learned how to be happy on my own,” he explained, “but I would love to share my life with someone one day.”

It’s a confession that struck a chord with fans — a reminder that even those who seem most at peace can still hope for connection. Hamza made it clear that he isn’t searching desperately, but remains open to love when the time feels right.

    Finding Healing Beyond Romance

While his personal life remains private, Hamza’s public work continues to reflect what brings him peace: nature

Strictly winner and cameraman Hamza Yassin tells a gripping family story

Alongside his television projects, Hamza is now working closely with the National Trust and other conservation organisations, encouraging people to reconnect with the natural world — particularly during the quieter, darker months of autumn and winter.

The campaign focuses on the idea of seasonal “wild connection”, showing how small moments outdoors — a frosty morning walk, birdsong in bare trees, or the stillness of winter landscapes — can offer comfort, grounding and improved mental wellbeing.

Hamza has spoken passionately about how nature supported him through difficult periods of his own life, helping him slow down, reflect and find balance.

“Nature doesn’t rush you,” he has said. “It meets you where you are.”
