Grace Keeling, better known as GK Barry, is stepping into a new role this summer—hosting her very own weekend show on BBC Radio 1 throughout July. Known for her rise from TikTok fame and I’m A Celebrity appearances, the 25-year-old influencer will be on air every Saturday and Sunday from 1–4pm starting July 4.

“This is completely different from podcasting,” she told MailOnline. “I’m really excited to be presenting my own show with BBC Radio 1 this summer… I’m always listening to the radio when I travel, so I can’t wait to interact with the listeners and get them involved in all the fun.”

The BBC has teased that GK will be joined by “special guests” throughout her run, offering fans a new side to the digital star. Meanwhile, fellow celebrity Jamie Laing is also returning to the airwaves – this time alongside his wife, Sophie Habboo, who’ll co-host while his usual presenters are on maternity leave.

GK Barry has reached a career milestone

Away from her growing media career, GK has spoken candidly about her childhood in the British Virgin Islands and her difficult transition back to the UK. Born Grace Keeling, she spent her early years in Tortola with her mother Loretta and stepfather Andrew, whom she considers her dad.

“From as young as I can remember, I was in Tortola and I was one of the only white girls,” she shared on the Loose Women podcast. “All the aunties were doing my hair… little cornrows… I never saw anything different about that.”

She described her school life there as racially diverse and inclusive. “There were so many different races… I was friends with everyone. I had an incredible time.”

But the move to Cambridge at age eight was a harsh contrast. “We moved back to a predominantly white, small town, and I had a Caribbean accent,” she said. “Now Jane, I don’t know if you’ve ever gone into a small town with a Caribbean accent and be white, but it’s vicious.”

Struggling to connect with her peers, she recalled, “Most people couldn’t wrap their head around [it at school]… I’m talking about my life and people had no clue what I was on about.”

She also remembered the racism her stepfather endured. “My dad was getting a lot of hate at the time… so it was sort of just like, ‘I don’t really know where we all stand here’.” Host Jane Moore clarified, “This is your stepdad, but he’s your dad,” to which GK agreed.

  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘disappointed’ over huge snub as they ‘don’t pack a punch’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘disappointed’ over huge snub as they ‘don’t pack a punch’

It emerged that the Prince and Princess of Wales have landed themselves a spot on a prestigious list of the world’s best philanthropists, but there was no sign of Prince Harry and Meghan. Now, one royal expert has explained why this might be the case

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (Image: Getty Images)

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have been disappointed to not take a prestigious honour that was handed to the Prince and Princess of Wales, according to an expert. It emerged that William and Kate have been included in the Time 100 Philanthropy 2025 list, but Harry and Meghan were not.

Kate and William were included in the magazine’s Innovators category for “modernising royal philanthropy” and praised for being “less concerned with cultural preservation and more attuned to social issues”. But it was a different story for Harry and Meghan who were snubbed from this year’s list, despite being included four years ago.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who quit their royal roles in 2020 to pursue private ventures in the corporate world, previously secured a spot on Time’s roster of the most influential figures back in 2021, which included a cover feature on the prestigious publication.

However, the couple, who tout themselves as “shaping the future through business and philanthropy” on their website, did not make the cut this year. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said the Waleses thoroughly deserve their place on the list, but believes not getting a mention themselves would have come as a blow to the Sussexes.

She told the Mirror: “I’m sure Harry and Meghan will be disappointed that they haven’t made the list, especially as they have emphasised their focus on philanthropy on their website. I wish them well with the work they do, but now, firmly outside the royal family, they simply do not pack the same punch as the prince and princess.”

William and Kate’s honour comes as the couple begin rolling out an ambitious project to transform community spaces across the UK, using a mixture of grants and donating personal time from their Royal Foundation.

They have identified several locations around the country which will benefit from financial backing and the creation of new task forces which will benefit from expert advice and guidance from their team. The aim is to create a network of businesses to invest in local projects to upgrade local facilities from community hubs to sports centres, which will be announced in the coming months.

And Jennie added: “There’s no denying that William and Catherine carry a lot of clout in whatever field they choose to get involved. And they have each made a significant impact in trying to help solve crucial social issues.

“I think they will be pleased that their efforts have been recognised alongside the likes of David Beckham, Oprah Winfrey, and Melinda French Gates.

“The Prince and Princess have focused their energy on causes like early development, the environment, homelessness and mental health. These are issues that affect large sections of society.

“Their brand of royal patronage is less about elitist cultural preservation and more, as William himself has said, about ‘impact philanthropy, collaboration, convening, and helping people’.

“Time magazine cited William and Catherine as innovators for modernising royal philanthropy. It recognised that their strategy is to get corporate and expert support for the causes they are working to highlight. They want to be more than just figureheads: they want to bang heads together and get action going to help solve some of society’s many problems.”

  • Nicola Peltz’s pals break silence for first time over Brooklyn Beckham claims!

Nicola Peltz’s pals break silence for first time over Brooklyn Beckham claims!

Nicola Peltz’s pals address claims that she is “isolating” Brooklyn Beckham in new defence – as sources close to the Beckham family speak of their continued upset as the feud rumbles on

The Beckham feud is rumbling on amid new claims – as Nicola’s pals fight back (Image: INSTAGRAM)

Brooklyn Beckham’s Instagram video last week in which he said he would “always choose” his wife must have hurt his parents amid their well-publicised family feud.

But other recent social media posts have allegedly proved just, if not more, painful to David and Victoria as the falling out shows no sign of abating.

A picture uploaded to Instagram three days ago shows Brooklyn sipping a pint in a pub, with bottles of his own-brand hot sauce on the table in front of him.

Innocuous enough to outsiders – but friends of the Beckhams recognised the distinctive light fittings and stark green walls in the background. One pal says: “The picture was taken in London’s Wigmore pub, which is part of the Langham Hotel where the Beckhams have sometimes stayed.

“The fact that Brooklyn appeared to be in the country and failed to see any of his family was heartbreaking. And not only that, but here he was posting about it.”

Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, had flown to London for a joint photoshoot with Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler, which took place less than two miles from the Beckham family home in Holland Park.

    Nicola and Brooklyn Beckham
    New claims: Brooklyn and Nicola

Dad David, 50, was not far away – he was pictured with the King at the Chelsea Flower show that day – just three miles from the Wigmore.

A pal reveals: “Brooklyn had kept the visit quiet from not only his mum and dad but his siblings and extended family. It was terribly sad that he had flown thousands of miles to London and hadn’t engaged at all. It would have been very easy to meet up.”

Another Instagram post, made on May 16, showed Brooklyn with Nicola’s late grandmother to mark the anniversary of her death.

He captioned it: “I miss you and will love you forever.”

A friend said: “Brooklyn’s heart is of course in the right place…but it hasn’t gone unnoticed how all the while he is posting about Nicola’s family he is silent about his own, including his own grandfather whose birthday it was last week.”

To acquaintances of the family, the blame for what they believe are “performative” social media posts lies with heiress Nicola.

They list concerns that she is somehow orchestrating her husband’s social media activity, which they claim is out of character, and that she is responsible for “isolating” Brooklyn from his friends and family.

A pal says: “She is creating conflict where there is none and divides are springing up left, right and centre.”

But a source close to the couple has hit back at suggestions Nicola is “controlling” her husband – and insists Brooklyn is very much his own man.

They reveal: “She is not isolating him at all. He is free to do what he wants and he loves his wife and they are happy together. They are each other’s family.”

Brooklyn captioned last weekend’s motorbike video, shot in Beverly Hills: “My whole world. I will love you forever. I always choose you baby.”

The source insists this was “completely misinterpreted” as being a dig at his own family.

The source adds: “It’s a real shame that what Brooklyn did – which was a statement of love for his wife – is being portrayed as something that it’s not.

“He loves his wife and everyone should be proud: his parents, his family friends. He stands by his wife and that’s a normal thing to be a loving and supportive husband.”

Asked if there was any desire for reconciliation on Brooklyn’s side, the source said it was impossible given the highly charged atmosphere.

    The Beckhams
    Broken: Family Beckham (Image: Instagram/victoriabeckham/jamesdkelly)

Sources close to Nicola have previously insisted that as “an outsider coming into the Beckham family, she has helped Brooklyn see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within”.

The claims – described as “patently untrue and ludicrous” by friends of David and Victoria – were the “nail in the coffin” of any future relationship, according to insiders. Despite this, sources close to Nicola claim she doesn’t want any fighting and is upset by the feud being played out publicly.

Her friends say she tried to integrate.

“Nicola was working hard to have a healthy relationship,” says one. Pals of the Beckhams dispute this, with one saying: “It’s hard to find a way back after absurd allegations of emotional abuse.”

Despite Nicola’s pals claiming she doesn’t want a battle, in other facets of her life she is known to fight.

Last week it emerged she had hired high-powered celebrity attorney “Mad Dog” Marty Singer, who has represented stars such as Michael Jackson and Kim Kardashian.

Nicola is suing a dog groomer she alleges is responsible for the death of her chihuahua Nala and French bulldog Frankie.

It comes after previous legal battles with her wedding planners.

A source said: “Nicola’s family haven’t become billionaires by being shy and retiring… it’s in their nature to fight for what they believe is right.” As for the feud with her in-laws, many wonder how it will ever resolve.

Some say a big sign will be if Brooklyn acknowledges his sister Harper’s 14th birthday next month – he did not publicly mark Victoria’s 51st nor David’s 50th this year.

Brooklyn and Nicola have posted pictures of themselves with Harper, and he is thought to be very fond of his youngest sibling.

A pal says: “Brooklyn isn’t talking to his mum and dad, as well as Romeo, because he disapproves of his girlfriend.

“But in that case this ‘feud’ should start and end with them…

“The fact he has distanced himself from the whole, extended family is what makes this so sad. Perhaps Harper’s birthday – and an acknowledgement of it – will be the first steps towards a peace deal.”

Watch this space next month – but at this rate peace looks a long way off.

  • Victoria Beckham ‘struggling’ over Brooklyn as family threatens to ‘rupture’

Victoria Beckham ‘struggling’ over Brooklyn as family threatens to ‘rupture’

EXCLUSIVE: Victoria Beckham is said to be “struggling” as the rumoured feud between her, David and their son Brooklyn rumbles on, with the family reportedly being torn apart

The Beckhams rumoured family feud is ongoing and with Victoria’s Netflix documentary upcoming, the tensions are rising

As the rumoured feud within the Beckham clan continues to rumble on, eldest son Brooklyn is thought to be feeling an “emotional burden” as he’s torn between his wife and family.

Speculation of tension between Victoria and David and their son and his wife was initially sparked by an incident over a wedding dress and, three years on, LA-based Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz have now reportedly cut contact

A source claims to New magazine that Victoria is struggling with the situation because 26-year-old Brooklyn is “always going to be her baby”.

”He’s her first-born and they’ve always had a wonderful relationship, she feels like Nicola has taken over and it’s really tough to deal with as a mother,” they said.

Brooklyn and his wife are in a rumoured feud with Brooklyn’s dad, David, and Victoria

“David is frustrated with Brooklyn’s behaviour and is telling Victoria it’s unacceptable, but she’s just upset to feel like she’s losing her first baby. She’s very family-oriented so it’s a worry that Brooklyn and Nicola will start their own family and Victoria won’t have contact with her first grandchild – it’s a devastating thought.”

But a friend of the couple exclusively told the Mirror: “Nicola and Brooklyn didn’t cut contact – if anything, David and Victoria seem to have wanted the distancing since Nicola has made plenty of positive gestures like wearing Victoria’s clothes over the years, but somehow she and Brooklyn get all the criticism in the relationship. It’s understandable that there would be some natural distancing after years and years of being on the receiving end of unnecessary attacks and untruths.”

Psychotherapist Kamalyn Kaur tells new that as the eldest of the four Beckham children, she believes Brooklyn’s choice of partner has a “ripple effect” on the whole family, and if it isn’t perceived as a good choice, could rupture the family unit.

“The eldest child often carries a very unique emotional burden within the family, and particularly those that are tightly bound into the family unit, or in a family that are publicly scrutinised in the way that the Beckhams or the royals are, for example,” she tells us.

“The role of the eldest, and most people can probably relate, comes with lots of unspoken expectations, and one of those is to lead by example. Whether that’s leading by example in their career, their social life or their relationship, it almost becomes a template for the younger siblings.

“So when that eldest child begins to separate, or they begin to have a bit of an identity of their own, which they will when they get older and they enter a relationship, it can create a ripple effect. Not just because they’re moving on but because they’re shifting the family dynamic. So in close families, especially those in the spotlight, it can feel like a rupture rather than a natural evolution.”

The speculation about a potential family fallout was low key until David’s recent 50th birthday bashes. While A-listers were out in force, Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, were absent. The drama seemed to spill over onto social media last week when youngest son Cruz posted what many saw as a direct clap back to an earlier post by Brooklyn.

Cruz Beckham took to social media to defend his parents Victoria and David Beckham, following a pointed remark from his older brother Brooklyn amid the ongoing family feud

The aspiring racing driver posted a video of himself and his wife on a motorcycle, and wrote in the caption: “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.”

Many of his followers interpreted the post as a direct dig at his family – and laid the blame squarely at Nicola’s door, with one writing: “Real love doesn’t make you choose”, and another adding: “Any loving wife should never make her husband choose between her and her husband’s family.”

Shortly after the post, 20-year-old Cruz shared a family photograph from happier times – which included Brooklyn – to his own Instagram stories, accompanied by a message of support for his mum and dad.

“I love my family, I love you guys more than anything, mum & dad, you gave us life and cared for us no matter what” he wrote, “I cannot tell you how blessed we all are to have you in our lives x.”

According to psychotherapist Kamalyn, the responsibility to bring the family back together now lies firmly with Victoria and David. Comparing Brooklyn’s situation with that of Prince Harry, who is also somewhat estranged from his own family after what many people perceived as him “choosing” Meghan Markle over them, she says neither man is actually doing anything wrong.

“I don’t think they’re doing anything they shouldn’t be,” she explained. “Every woman, like Nicola and Meghan, wants to marry a man that prioritises her and doesn’t sit there with his mum. That’s basic. But because they’re in the spotlight and because there’s so much pressure for the family to present themselves in a certain way, instead of it being looked at as a natural evolution, it’s looked at as something that’s negative.”

Unless there’s been a verbal, physical or emotional altercation, she added, they need to focus on accepting Brooklyn’s choices and avoid criticising or judging, because that’s what “drives a child away”.

Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David’s 50th birthday bash

“Brooklyn’s priorities might have changed, and that’s totally okay. Also, accept that as parents, they might need time and space to heal from the shift in dynamic. And also, accept that they might need to re-evaluate their expectations of Brooklyn now, and try to establish a new normal.”

Given Cruz and Brooklyn’s social media posts, they need to be mindful of not letting their dramas poison the relations between their kids as siblings, Kamalyn believes.

“As a parent, it’s still your job to protect siblings from anything you’re feeling, especially any hostility. You don’t ever want your child to feel like they have to choose between a sibling and a parent.”

Amy Childs reveals shocking reason for staggering weight loss amid wedding heartbreak

EXCLUSIVE: Amy Childs has been open about her weight loss journey in recent months, and now the reality star has revealed the real reason behind her staggering transformation

Amy Childs is no stranger to comments about her weight loss, since the mum of four lost a staggering amount of weight in the last few months.

Now, Amy is opening up about how she lost her weight after she was forced to cancel her wedding to fiance Billy Delbosq. The Only Way Is Essex star Amy, 34, announced her engagement to Billy in 2023 – weeks after the couple welcomed twins together. The couple then postponed their nuptials in October of the same year.

She recently wowed fans with her latest Instagram offering as they declared she “looks like a different person”. The reality star has made no secret of the fact that she has been on a gruelling weight loss journey in recent months, and it’s clear that her hard work is paying off.

    Amy

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Amy addressed the recent speculation about her weight loss and the vicious trolling she’s suffered as a result of it.

“People don’t know what is going on behind closed doors,” Amy says emotionally. “I’m going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me. I worry about my mum constantly. She’s very emotional – she thinks she’s going to have another heart attack.”

“People think I’m not eating, but I do eat. To be honest, I do feel better when I’m a bit heavier than I am at the moment. There’s so much going on at the minute – it’s the result of pure stress. We’re also having renovations done in the midst of parenting four kids.”

“But I’m strong, I’ve been in this industry for 15 years. I’ve had lots of people concerned about me, which I completely understand, but yes, people can be so quick to judge.

“It’s so unfair – it shouldn’t matter what size people are. Imagine if I was really happy and healthy this way? I’ve been open about losing too much, but I’m working towards putting some back on now.”

Amy is also keen to address rumours that she has been using weight-loss injections. “I just want to be clear that, as I’ve said before, I’m not using weight-loss injections. I did try the jab, but just once about 18 months ago.

“It made me so, so ill. I injected myself and literally a few hours later I threw up three, four times. I’ve never had sickness like it. The nausea stayed with me for three days. And it scared me so I stopped immediately. It doesn’t agree with everybody and it obviously didn’t agree with me at all.”

    Amy and Billy

Amy explains that she had gone to a private doctor with the hope of losing some weight. She had her weight and blood pressure checked during a 30-minute consultation before being prescribed the injections, which started at the lowest dose.

“Bill was like, ‘I don’t know if you really need to do it,’ but he’d proposed to me and I felt like I wanted to look amazing for my wedding day and wanted to lose some baby weight after having the twins – although I do think it’s important that women shouldn’t feel under pressure to lose weight after having a baby. But after feeling ill I stopped straight away, so it’s not the reason for my weight loss.”

The reality TV star, famed for her stint on The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE), has graced our screens for 15 years. Despite regularly dazzling fans with her glamour on the telly, Amy openly confessed that she had lost touch with loving her figure and has suffered with self-confidence issues.

Now a proud mum-of-four, Amy’s journey through the last decade-and-a-half has been significant, and recently she had been refreshingly honest about her struggle with body image. Acknowledging her tendency to consume “complete rubbish”, she noticed distinct changes in her physique.

Amy then began a training and healthy eating routine in order to shape up naturally. She started working with Freya from Potentia, an online weight-loss coach based in Dubai.

    Amy
Amy says her weight loss is due to ‘stress and worry’(Image: Chelsea White)

“I decided, ‘Right, I’ve got to do it the proper way now.’ Freya gave me amazing recipe plans and workouts to follow, which I stuck to religiously. She got me in the gym four times a week, eating really clean. I had to be very boring for a good six months, but I felt amazing. It’s only more recently that I’ve been losing weight due to stress that it doesn’t feel healthy.”

Amy, who waved goodbye to The Only Way Is Essex after two years on the show, made an epic return in 2020 and, since then, she has been delighting viewers with her on-screen charm.

  • Prince Harry caught off-guard by Queen’s unexpected reaction to Meghan Markle request!

Prince Harry caught off-guard by Queen’s unexpected reaction to Meghan Markle request!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have now been married for seven years but before Harry popped the question, he had to ask his late grandmother the Queen for permission

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently celebrated their ‘love story’ by marking seven whole years of marriage. And their journey down the aisle to say ‘I do’ started almost eight years ago when they announced their engagement to the world.

After sharing the news with an official statement, they posed for photographers at Kensington Palace before sitting down for a interview with the BBC to share their joy. But before Harry was even allowed to get down on one knee, there was on obstacle he first had to overcome. Due to a long-standing royal tradition, Harry had to ask permission from his late grandmother the Queen to ask for Meghan’s hand in marriage.

The late Queen with the Sussexes(Image: Getty Images)

Convention dictates that the first six people in the line of succession must ask the monarch for permission to become engaged. So when the duke realised he was ready to make the next step with Meghan, he broached the late Queen for her blessing before presenting the former actress with her ring.

And in his memoir Spare, he details the moment he plucked up the courage to broach the subject with his granny – and her ‘cryptic’ nine-word response. In the book, Harry says he decided to wait until the family were on a shooting trip in Sandringham before raising the subject, hoping it would put the late Queen in a ‘good mood’.

Once the shoot was finished Harry managed to get his grandmother alone, admitting his mind was racing. He recalls his exact words in Spare, telling his grandmother how much he loved Meg and that he wanted to marry her. According to the book, he then awkwardly asked: “I’ve been told that I have to ask your permission before I can propose”.

Harry and Meghan on the day they announced their engagement (Image: Getty Images)

He says the Queen then replied: “You have to?” to which Harry replied that is what he had been told. He then details a moment of silence before the Queen replied and told him: “Well then, I suppose I have to say yes.”

Harry admits he was completely thrown by her answer. He writes: “I didn’t get it. Was she being sarcastic? Ironic? Deliberately cryptic? Was she indulging in a bit of wordplay?

“I’d never known Granny to do any wordplay and this would be a surpassingly bizarre moment (not to mention widely inconvenient) for her to start, but maybe she just saw the chance to play off my unfortunate use of the word ‘have’ and couldn’t resist”

He claims he stood there trying to work out what she was saying, but then ‘realised’ she was saying yes, describing himself as a ‘muppet’. He then thanked her, saying it was ‘fabulous’.

Once he had the go-ahead, it came to designing the ring and planning the perfect moment with Meghan. He took two diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection and one he procured from his beloved Botswana to create the gold ring.

He popped the question during a night in at their Kensington Palace home. The couple roasted a chicken and then headed outside with candles to sit under the stars. But Harry almost gave the game away with his choice of drinks for the casual weekday dinner.

Speaking of his proposal in their Netflix show Harry and Meghan, the prince explained: “I did pop a bottle of champagne while she was roasting a chicken and that kind of slightly gave the game away. She was like, ‘You never drink champagne, what’s the occasion?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know, I just had it like, lying around”

While he set things up, Meghan called a friend to share the excitement. She recorded the phone call, and can be heard saying: “Oh my God Jess, Jess, it’s happening, it’s happening. He told me not to peek.”

The couple shared a romantic photo of the moment on the docuseries, showing Harry kneeling on a blanket holding a ring box in one hand and their dog Guy’s collar in the other while a bunch of white roses sat on the floor in front of him.

Recalling the moment in their engagement interview, Harry said: “She didn’t even let me finish. She said, ‘Can I say yes? Can I say yes?’ and then there were hugs and I had the ring in my hand and I was like, ‘Can I – can I give you the ring?’ She goes, ‘Oh yes the ring’. So no it was – it was a really nice moment, it was just the two of us and I think managed to catch – catch her by surprise as well.”

Prince Harry to be ‘even angrier in new royal row’ if latest move goes wrong!

With Meghan Markle pressing ahead with her As Ever lifestyle brand, reports have suggested Prince Harry could soon follow in her footsteps with his own commercial brand – but one expert has given him a warning

Prince Harry could spark a brand new royal row with his potential new career move, according to an expert. While wife Meghan has basked in the limelight by pressing ahead with the launch of her As Ever business, the same can’t be said for her husband, who appears to have taken a back seat after the couple seems to have decided to pursue different career paths.

However, reports have suggested that all that could be set to change as he attempts to find a ‘new purpose’. It is reported that Harry could be launching his own commercial venture in the next few months, while also concentrating on his Invictus Games Foundation.

There are no details so far on what the venture could be, which will be one of the first tasks for the Sussex’s newly formed team of advisors. But former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has said that if Harry wants to follow a money-making route, it could prove very tricky.

She told the Mirror: “Personally, I think this commercial route opens him up to all sorts of accusations of trading on his royal status which would make him an even angrier young man than at present. I think Harry is still trying to figure out where he goes from here. By normal standards, he’s a very rich man, but life in Montecito doesn’t come cheap, especially with all the security costs he deems necessary.

Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

“So is he content for his wife to be the breadwinner while he concentrates on the children and charity work? There’s nothing wrong with that but he might feel he needs to pursue commercial ventures too.”

Prince Harry’s recent appearances have seen him promote his charitable and non-profit causes. Earlier this month, he appeared at an event in Las Vegas to promote the Diana Award. While earlier this week, he unexpectedly turned up at a travel conference in Shanghai and gave a speech on sustainable travel in his role as co-founder of Travalyst.

And Jennie added: “There’s nothing wrong with being a stay-at-home dad and using his influence to help charities around the world. He’s brilliant at interacting with people and at just being Harry. He should perhaps stick to what he’s born to, trained for and truly good at.”

Harry with his children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet

Harry’s trip to China marked his first visit to the country and came on the same day his estranged father King Charles landed in Canada for a historic visit.

But Jennie explained: “Fortunately it seems not to have overshadowed Charles and Camilla’s trip to Canada. In fact, it seems to have made very little news at all. If the idea was to garner as much publicity for the cause as possible, it would seem to have fallen rather short.

“There was no advance information about it and not much of a splash when he was there. But he is clearly employed by Travalyst to make keynote speeches like this, and I’m sure he made a good job of it. The timing of the conference would have been coincidental to the King’s trip to Canada, certainly not deliberate.

“However, the irony of flying across the world to promote sustainable, environmentally friendly travel is hard to ignore. Surely a video speech would have been more ethical?

“The same criticism could be lobbed at William flying around the world to host the Earthshot Awards but sometimes it just raises the profile in a way nothing else could. I’m not sure that Harry’s presence did the same.”

Pop icon Louise Redknapp has given a rare update on her love life, after previously being labelled a “cougar”, as she opens up on her boyfriend’s relationship with her two children.

Louise, who looks as gorgeous as ever, revealed it is “difficult” to have her personal life in the public eye, but that she is “enjoying” having “special times” with her partner of two years Drew Michael.

After going through a high-profile divorce with her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp in 2017, Louise dated but didn’t get involved in anything serious until she met Drew in October 2023.

Louise opened up about her partner, who is 9 years younger, and revealed he has a ‘brilliant friendship’ with her two boys, Charley, 20, and Beau, 16.

Louise told The Sun: “It’s hard putting your personal life out there, but I am very reactive and tend to write how I am feeling at that very moment.”

Opening up on her relationship and family life, the former singer said: “Drew’s great. We’re having a lovely time together. It took me a long time to get to that place and be open about anything. I was very guarded and scared. But I’m really enjoying having special times with someone. He’s a great guy and super-kind.”

Emphasising how important it is that her partner got along with her sons, Louise said: “What’s great is he’s brilliant on a friendship level with the boys. They get on great with him. And that, for me, is super-important. There’s just a real mutual respect there. Obviously Beau is still at school, but we spend a lot of time together.”

When Louise started dating Drew, she received backlash about the 9-year age gap and was labelled a “cougar”, with Drew described as a “toyboy”; however, Louise now says that is “water off a duck’s back”.

Earlier this year, Louise appeared on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast where she explained her two boys saved her from reaching low points after her split from Jamie.

The Prince of Wales inherited the role of Duke of Cornwall when his father became King in 2022 and hopes to transform the ancient Duchy of Cornwall estate into a force for social change

Prince William has set out his vision to transform the 700-year-old Duchy of Cornwall into a force for social change. The Prince, who inherited the role of Duke of Cornwall when his father became King in 2022, wants to use the ancient estate “to make people’s lives better.” On a recent visit to Duchy farmland on Dartmoor, William, 42, vowed: “We’re not the traditional landowner – we want to be more than that.” The estate – spanning 128,494 acres from rural Devon to inner-city London – was originally set up to generate private income for the royal family. But William is determined to re-write the rule book, instead using his title to push for “social change.”

He added: “The Duchy has been a positive force for good, but we can do so much more. I think the key thing is, it’s about not losing the important community and historical links of the Duchy. But it’s also about making sure we’re building on and enhancing, modernising the Duchy. We’re going to modernise it without losing its key spirit of community.” The Prince’s priorities range from restoring rivers to ending homelessness, supporting the mental health of farmers and arranging get-togethers to combat rural loneliness. He has even launched a new strap-line: “Positive impact for people, places and planet.” Unlike previous generations, William has a more hands-on approach and visits part of the estate once every four to six weeks. His trips are usually private and kept quiet by loyal locals who are used to royal comings and goings.

In keeping with a more modern approach, rural director of the Duchy, Matthew Morris, revealed how employees “no longer feel the need to put on a tie when the Duke of Cornwall is in town.” And William shared how he communicates with the estate’s more than 150 staff via WhatsApp and asks questions over social media to keep in the loop

When the Prince becomes King, the Duchy of Cornwall title will pass to his eldest son Prince George. The estate was established by Edward III in 1337 to generate private income for his then seven-year-old heir and takes in 20 counties across England. Despite being called the Duchy of Cornwall, its largest landholdings are actually in Devon.

William shared his vision after the property and land empire, as well as the King’s estate, the Duchy of Lancaster, were investigated by a Channel 4 Dispatches documentary: The King, The Prince & Their Secret Millions. In the 2024 programme, it was revealed how the the Duchy of Cornwall is profiting from public services.

In 2017, it billed Devon county council £300,000 in a 21-year rental deal for a primary school on Dartmoor. Other deals include charging a primary school near Bath £60,000 for a 25-year lease and £189,000 to a secondary school in Cornwall over 30 years to use a farmhouse.

The Duchy of Cornwall said it is “a private estate with a commercial imperative… committed to restoring the natural environment.” The Duchy of Lancaster said it “operates as a commercial company” and “complies with all relevant UK legislation.”

Netflix star reveals BBC dropped them from popular series

Ashley Walters, who is best known for roles in Adolescence and Top Boy, has revealed the BBC chose not to include him in a popular series

Ashley Walters, Will Young and Tom Daley joined Clara Amfo and Roman Kemp on The One Show to discuss their upcoming projects.

As talk turned to the shows they all appeared on, Ashley was quizzed over whether he would appear on BBC series Who Do You Think You Are?

However, he shocked hosts Roman and Clara when he revealed he was approached before bosses changed their mind.

Ashley revealed: “I would love to if they let me.” Going on to explain his comment, he continued: “Interesting story, they approached me about doing the show and went and did about a year’s worth of research and then said, ‘no, we’re not going to do it.’”

Clara asked: “Any further feedback?” as Ashley replied: “No, they did give me the documents but I haven’t read them, I haven’t gone into the box yet so I don’t know why. I nearly got there but I was on the cusp.”

“A new project for next year,” Clara suggested. “Go through the archives.”

The revelation came as Will Young, who features of the next episode of Who Do You Think You Are? spoke about his experience.

Appearing on The One Show, Will spoke about becoming emotional when he uncovered his family history.

He explained: “I didn’t know anything about my grandfather apart from that he died when my Dad was 15 and under questionable circumstances.

“A lot of people had PTSD after the war, we didn’t know, my Dad and my Aunt didn’t know, that his plane went down at the beginning of the war and he was in a concentration camp for five years, that’s all I knew.

“But it was just wonderful – to not spoil it – go from having one grandfather who I knew growing up and now feeling like I have two. I still have this photo in my study and I just feel like I know him.

“I have a tattoo of his plane and his squadron and you start finding similarities with your family – even people you didn’t know.

“That’s what is real interesting. We had certain characteristics and it was very moving. It was terribly moving for my father and my Aunt because he was sort of portrayed as a bit of a loser and he was literally anything but a loser. My Dad rang me up in tears saying, ‘You’ve given me a father.’”
