  • Meghan Markle would’ve ‘horrified’ King with ‘astonishing’ move as she ‘clings’ to title

Meghan Markle would’ve ‘horrified’ King with ‘astonishing’ move as she ‘clings’ to title

Meghan Markle raised eyebrows with a video of her twerking trying to bring on labour – and royal expert Jennie Bond has revealed how those at the palace would have reacted to the clip

Meghan Markle would have left King Charles ‘horrified’ with her “utterly bizarre” decision to share a video of her twerking to bring on labour, a royal expert has claimed. The Duchess of Sussex astonished royal watchers and fans by posting the video of her dancing in a hospital room alongside Prince Harry while waiting for the arrival of their daughter, Princess Lilibet.

In the clip, a heavily pregnant Meghan twerks to the Starrkeisha song Baby Momma lifting her skirt above her knees, raising her hands in the air and wiggling low with her hands on her hips and legs. Meghan shared the clip on Lilibet’s fourth birthday, saying: “Four years ago today, this also happened.

“Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work – there was only one thing left to do!”

And for royal expert Jennie Bond, she believes it is an “astonishing video on any level” and reveals what the King would have thought of it. The former BBC royal correspondent told the Mirror : “The hours before you give birth are some of the most personal, intimate and private in the lives of any couple.

“And women are perfectly entitled to do whatever they feel like to get through the waiting, and the pain. Giving birth is a serious business, and anything to lighten the mood is welcome.

“However – to share those scenes with the world is utterly bizarre and, in my view, takes away all the magic of the moment. I cannot imagine why she chose to release it. Maybe show it one day to your nearest and dearest— but to anyone and everyone who wants to click on it?

“I can hear the voice of the late Queen’s former private secretary, Lord Charteris, repeating the comments he once made about Fergie: ‘Vulgar, vulgar, vulgar’.

“If the King has watched it, which I doubt, though he can’t have missed the headlines I’m sure he would be horrified. Royalty has to carry with it some measure of dignity.”

Since sharing the clip many have questioned why she posted it, given the couple’s supposed desire for privacy. And Jennie added: “I’m glad they were so happy before the birth, I’m glad Harry was there to support his wife in every way, I’m delighted to hear that he’s such a great dad. But they really can’t have it both ways.

“They can’t demand privacy and be so coy about sharing images of their children and then show us all these intensely intimate scenes. And she cannot expect to be treated as if she’s royal whilst behaving like a click-hungry social media influencer.

“Having said all that, there’s no doubt that videos like this connect in a very real way to young people. And perhaps that’s what Meghan is trying to do. My own daughter thought the video humanised both Meghan and Harry and was light-hearted and hugely relatable. It reminded her of her own pregnancies and labour and she thought it was rather charming.

In many ways, I agree with her. I just don’t think it sits happily with trying to cling to the vestiges of being ‘royal’.”

Peter Andre addresses age-gap relationship with wife Emily after huge mistake!

Peter Andre has spoken out on his near-two decade age gap with wife Emily MacDonagh, recalling one particular mistake which made their difference in age very noticeable.

Peter Andre has spoken out on his near-two decade age gap with wife Emily MacDonagh

Peter Andre has addressed his age gap relationship with wife Emily MacDonagh, who is 16 years younger than him. The couple have been married since 2015 and share three children; Amelia, Theo and Arabella.

Writing in his weekly New! Magazine column, the Mysterious Girl singer said that the dynamic ‘works’ for them and quipped that age is just a number, but did recall one incident where the gap was more prominent.

Taking to his column, Peter began by addressing 67-year-old Stephen Fry’s marriage to Elliott Spencer, who is three decades his junior at age 38. Admitting that he’s not one to judge, Peter wrote: “Actor Stephen Fry has talked about the 30-year age gap in his relationship with his partner, Elliott Spencer.

“It all depends on the relationship, how the partners are with each other and how they view things, I think. There’s a 16-year gap between me and Emily, and it really works for us,” he explained.

That’s not to say the age gap goes unnoticed, as Peter continued: “There’s one thing we do laugh about, though… We were at the Pride of Britain awards one year and Jon Bon Jovi came over to chat. I’ve met him many times over the years and he’s a lovely person.

He introduced himself to Emily and after he walked away, she turned to me and said, “Who was that?” I was like, “Are you serious? It’s Bon Jovi.” In the most confused but innocent voice, she said, “What’s a Bon Jovi?”

“We laughed about that a lot afterwards! It’s in those moments we may realise the age gap –usually with music and films – but in general, we love the same things. I think it’s what works for you in a relationship. Who are we to judge?”

Peter and Emily met when the latter was a medical student in her early twenties

The couple first met when the latter was 20 and Peter 36, but didn’t begin dating for two years. They were introduced through Emily’s dad, Dr Ruaraidh MacDonagh, a consultant urologist.

Peter was undergoing kidney stone removal surgery in 2010 performed by Ruaraidh, and he later met Emily – at the time a medical student – through the doctor.

The couple started dating in 2012 went on to marry three years later in a beautiful ceremony at Mamhead House and Castle in Devon.

Now parents to their three children and Emily a stepmum to Peter’s kids Junior and Princess, the family keep their three youngest kids’ faces away from social media and are relatively private online.

  • BBC bosses’ battle to save Strictly as 2025 ‘no more scandal’ line-up leaked

BBC bosses’ battle to save Strictly as 2025 ‘no more scandal’ line-up leaked

The BBC are demanding a ‘no more scandal’ policy on Strictly and are determined to make sure the 2025 line-up is the safest yet with a royal and Blue Peter stars being considered

    Wynne Evans and Jamie Borthwick
Last year’s stars Wynne Evans and Jamie Borthwick created extra headaches for bosses

There is a “terrible, terrible fear” among BBC executives that Strictly Come Dancing will be struck by scandal again this year – and every effort is being made to ensure all contestants are squeaky clean.

The show has been dogged by shocking headlines in recent years, and this weekend EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick – on the show in 2024 – was suspended by the BBC after using a slur against people with disabilities on the set of Strictly while filming in Blackpool.

That came after Giovanni Pernice ws involved allegations of bullying and aggressive behaviour made by his partner Amanda Abbington, forcing the corporation to launched an internal investigation. In May, radio host Wynne Evans announced he is leaving his role after the broadcaster decided not to renew his contract.

He apologised for making what he described as an “inappropriate and unacceptable” comment during the Strictly Come Dancing live tour launch in December. The crude sexualised remark was aimed at dance pro and It Takes Two host Janette Manrara.

Now the BBC want to go risk free and are leaving no stone unturned to make sure the line-up is as safe as possible. Blue Peter presenters Joel Mawhinney and Shini Muthukrishnan are said to be under consideration – as is Tom Parker Bowles, the son of Queen Camilla.

Georgia Toffolo – the I’m a Celebrity Jungle Queen – is reportedly being lined up, as is Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts. Newly married former Love Island star Dani Dyer is being considered, it has been reported, with former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan another name high up on bosses’ list.

“There is a terrible, terrible fear among those high up that these awful things are going to keep happening and the show will be brought into disrepute again and again,” one well-place BBC insider has told MailOnline. “With that in mind, they are taking no chances.

“There will be stringent checks, and asking around, and digging into potential stars’ backgrounds to make sure that they’re not choosing anyone who might damage the show. For years, there was the whole Strictly “curse” where the contestants and professionals kept having affairs. But that stopped.

“Changes were made to the partnerships and it worked. There have been other issues in the past couple of years, though. What’s been even more embarrassing for the BBC is that Wynne and Jamie have been from their own stable of stars. Going forward, those at the top want a wholesome image to shine through. No more scandal – just joy.”

This weekend EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick declared he is “deeply sorry” for using a derogatory term about disabled people. The shock news came six months after he was competing on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing – which is when the incident is said to have taken place.

The 30-year-old actor has appeared on EastEnders since 2006 in which he plays Jay Brown. However, it is stated he is on suspension from the soap following the revelation he used offensive language in a video that was allegedly shared with friends.

He has issued a grovelling apology which has been shared by The Sun on Sunday, stating: “I want to apologise sincerely and wholeheartedly for the words I used in the video showing my reaction to making it through Blackpool week on Strictly. “I am deeply sorry for any offence and upset my words and actions have caused. It is no excuse, but I did not fully understand the derogatory term I used and its meaning. That is on me completely.

“Now I am aware, I am deeply embarrassed to have used the term and directed it in the way I did. It was wrong.” He went on to issue an apology to the people of Blackpool and reiterate his regret over his words. The Mirror has contacted a representative of the star for comment.

Katie Price has worried fans again after taking to the stage showing off her tiny frame and eye-popping bum lift. The mum-of-five, 46, has admitted to losing weight recently, saying it’s something she ‘wanted to do’.

However, in Saturday’s snaps, the Pricey, who has admitted she suffers from body dysmorphia, sparked concern among her legion of loyal fans when she rocked up to sing at a Pride event in Portsmouth, sporting a tiny black thong leotard, fishnet tights, ankle boots and a sparkly crown with ‘Pricey’ encrusted on it in pink diamonds as the glamour icon belted out her favourite songs.

Addressing the excitable crowd, who she told she was not wearing any underwear, she said: “I could have put some more clothes on couldn’t I! It’s bloody freezing out here. The next song is one of my favourite karaoke songs, you’ll all know it, it’s energetic but sing along.

She continued: “I’ve got no knickers on, so keep checking that nothing’s on show. I keep doing that in case a lip hangs out.”

After that bombshell, Katie also commented on her gravity-defying bottom, promising: “I’m going to get some more in it this week, I want a bigger, better butt.”

Katie spoke candidly about her weight loss last month after fans expressed their concern over her appearance. Admitting that she had lost weight because she wanted to, she said on Rob Moore’s Disruptors podcast: “Yes I’ve lost weight. Yes that what I’ve wanted to do, I’ve wanted to lose weight.”

Explaining why she felt she needed to drop a dress size, she continued: “Because the past three, four years ago when I broke my feet and I was in a wheelchair for 10 months because they said I’d never walk again, and obviously you put weight on being in a wheelchair.

“And then I did all the IVF stuff, that also puts on weight. So yeah I did put on weight and I hated it, I felt uncomfortable and it wasn’t me.

“Now I’ve gone back, now the IVF that’s all come out, and I’m more active because I could do more because of my feet, and I’m horse riding again, then naturally, I’m going back athletic again.”

Praising the star’s figure, Married At First Sight, Ella Morgan, was brought out on stage by Katie in Portsmouth as the two women insisted they ‘loved’ each other despite their connection to JJ Slater. Ella dated JJ, who is now Katie’s boyfriend, when the pair appeared on the Channel 4 show two years ago.

Complimenting each other’s bodies, including their bums and boobs, the pair giggled as Katie joked Ella may have a “designer vagina”.

Katie has raised eyebrows among followers after showcasing her noticeably slimmer appearance on social media, with many expressing concern for her well-being. Since her transformation, she’s been questioned about whether she’s been using Ozempic injections or similar treatments to achieve her appearance, which she has repeatedly denied.

The Mucky Mansion star stressed that her weight loss was achieved by natural methods, revealing she pays close attention to her diet and incorporates more physical activity into her routine.

Meghan Markle warned ‘it’s time to move on’ after move that will shock Palace!

Meghan Markle has been pressing ahead with her As Ever lifestyle brand while building her Instagram following – but one expert has a stark warning for her

Meghan Markle has left the Royal Family firmly behind her as she builds her business empire. Five years after she and Prince Harry dramatically quit as working royals, she is now growing her As Ever lifestyle brand as well as her Instagram following with a string of never-before-seen snaps and videos.

But despite the days of royal duties being long gone, Meghan does continue to use one thing from her former life – her royal title, the Duchess of Sussex. Not only that, she recently raised eyebrows when it emerged she had also used her HRH title on a note in a gift basket to a friend. According to royal expert Jennie Bond, Meghan has appeared to become a shrewd operator as she ploughs forward with her business, which will no doubt help to fund the Sussexes’ enviable lifestyle.

Meghan still retains her Duchess of Sussex title (Image: Getty Images for TIME)

But writing in The Sun, the former BBC royal correspondent says it’s now time for her to stop using her royal title in her money-making ventures.

She explained: “To try to cling to the vestiges of her blink-of-an-eye time as a working royal is disingenuous. So, Meghan, how about dropping the Duchess nonsense and the HRH which you are no longer entitled to use? Be independent and successful.

“Make your As Ever brand bigger than ever on your own. You tried being part of the Royal Family and hated it. Time to move on, which, I think, is what this is all about.”

It comes as Meghan as made a huge U-turn in a new announcement about restocking her As Ever products, including her jam. In an Instagram post last week, she promised that her goods would be back in stock later this month and teased other new items, saying there would be “a few new things we can’t wait to show you”.

The about-turn came just hours after she was heard telling Beyoncé’s mother that she had decided to “just pause” until she was completely ready.

Meghan appeared on her own podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, yesterday, recorded in May, telling Tina Knowles she feared annoying customers when the first batch of her jam and herbal teas sold out in less than an hour.

She said she wanted to wait until it was “completely stable and we have everything we need”. However, just hours later, Meghan shared a photo of jam-making preparations including bowls of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, and freshly squeezed lemons, on her Instagram stories, writing: “June gloom?’ Not over here! Because this month your favourite products are back.”

Her official As Ever account also posted: “To all who’ve been wondering and waiting, thank you. Your favourites are returning, plus a few NEW things we can’t wait to show you. Coming this month…get excited!”

Meghan’s range includes flower sprinkles, which she used liberally during her Netflix lifestyle show, and raspberry spread, a crepe mix, wildflower honey and an assortment of herbal teas. She renamed her brand from American Riviera Orchard after running into trademark issues.

Prince William’s ‘true feelings’ on key Trooping the Colour role revealed!

As the Palace prepares for this year’s Trooping the Colour celebrations, a source close to the Prince William has shared his verdict on reprising his vital role in the King’s birthday parade procession

With the Trooping the Colour celebrations right around the corner, Royal Family is busy preparing for the momentous day. As is tradition, senior royals are set to mount their horses and follow the King’s carriage in a procession from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade.

While King Charles will be reportedly riding in the carriage alongside his wife, Queen Camilla, Prince William will join Princess Anne and Prince Edward and follow the procession on horseback. As the Colonel of the Welsh Guards, William rode alongside other senior royals in the 2024 Trooping the Colour procession, as he sported the red uniform with a leek symbol on the neckline paired with a traditional bearskin cap adorned with the regiment’s white and green plume.

He also wore his Most Noble Order of the Garter Sash, Royal Air Force Pilot Wings and four medals: the Gold, Diamond, and Platinum Jubilee medals, plus the Coronation Medal.

And a source told the Sunday Times how the heir to the throne feels about taking part on horseback, saying: “He really enjoys it.”

William’s thoughts on riding ahorse during the Trooping the Colour procession comes after it was reported that the King would be riding in a carriage for a second year.

For the second year, King Charles will reportedlt be riding in a carriage for the Trooping the Colour procession(Image: PA)

While Charles is not expected to ride at the parade again, this weekend’s event will be the first time that the Princess Royal has ridden in public since she was hospitalised following a suspected horse injury last year.

Anne, 74, plans to ride in the parade this year in her role as gold stick, the colonel of the Blues and Royals, alongside the Duke of Edinburgh as colonel of the Scots Guards and London Guards and Prince William.

King Charles rode in the parade for many years, both for his mother’s birthday celebrations and his own, but due to his ongoing battle with cancer, the 76-year-old monarch will reportedly again travel in a carriage as he also did last year.

The Royal Family on the balcony at last year’s Trooping the Colour (Image: (Image: Getty))

A royal aide recently opened up about King Charles’s health, saying: “The thing you learn about this illness [cancer] is that you just manage it. And that’s what he does.” The aide continued: “Medical science has made incredible advances and I genuinely see no difference in him… As long as you just do what the doctors say, just live your life as normal as possible.”

The royal aide elaborated: “It’s no secret that he is still having treatment but because he is incredibly fit, he is just dealing with it all incredibly well. As everybody knows he is driven by duty, so he just gets on with it.”

The last time the King rode at the ceremony was in 2023, which was the first time a monarch had ridden in the parade since Queen Elizabeth did in 1986. After the late Queen’s trusty horse retired, she travelled in a carriage from 1987 until her final appearance in 2022, when she took the salute from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

The Trooping the Colour event, which takes place every year in June, has been held to mark the sovereign’s official birthday since the accession of King George IV in 1820, except during the world wars and a national strike in 1955. In 2020, a scaled-back version of the celebration was held at Windsor Castle due to the Covid pandemic.

Brooklyn Beckham’s feud with his parents has hit a new low. David and Victoria’s estranged eldest child found time to join Nicola Peltz’s actor brother Will’s birthday fun this weekend having shunned dad David’s 50th bash last month.

As the sad rift in the Beckham clan continues to rumble on, Brooklyn was all smiles at his in-laws’ get together in Hollywood as he attended the flashy bash with wife Nicola. Will, 39, and Brooklyn continue to grow closer, and the wannabe chef even called him ‘bro’ in a tribute last week.

Speculation of tension between Victoria and David and their son and his wife was initially sparked by an incident over a wedding dress and, three years on, LA-based Brooklyn and Nicola have now reportedly cut contact altogether. Brooklyn did not attend any of his father’s 50th and has failed to mark any of his close-knit family’s recent birthdays.

He didn’t hesitate in turning up at Will’s celebration, wearing black shirt and jeans for the party. Attempting to keep a low profile as he made his way in, Brooklyn showed off his tattoos as he covered his face. His brother Romeo Beckham’s split from his girlfriend won’t heal fractured family relations, friends believe.

Nicola’s friends previously blamed Romeo’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull for them not going to David’s 50th. Pals alleged it was because Brooklyn had a brief romantic liaison with her, which was denied by Beckham’s friends. But insiders say it would take a “small miracle at present” for peace to break out between Brooklyn and his parents David and Victoria.

Sources close to Nicola have previously insisted that as “an outsider coming into the Beckham family, she has helped Brooklyn see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within”. The claims – described as “patently untrue and ludicrous” by friends of David and Victoria – were the “nail in the coffin” of any future relationship, according to insiders.

New magazine report that Victoria is struggling with the situation because 26-year-old Brooklyn is “always going to be her baby”. Another source said: ”He’s her first-born and they’ve always had a wonderful relationship, she feels like Nicola has taken over and it’s really tough to deal with as a mother.

“David is frustrated with Brooklyn’s behaviour and is telling Victoria it’s unacceptable, but she’s just upset to feel like she’s losing her first baby. She’s very family-oriented so it’s a worry that Brooklyn and Nicola will start their own family and Victoria won’t have contact with her first grandchild – it’s a devastating thought.”

ITV launches brand new channel amid daytime cuts and redundancies

ITV has announced it has launched a brand new channel – just weeks after a number of its Daytime offerings were cut including Lorraine and Loose Women

ITV has announced a brand new channel – just weeks after it also announced a string of cuts to its Daytime offerings. Just a few weeks ago, staff at the broadcaster were hit with news that there would be redundancies amid huge changes for ITV.

It has been a tough time for ITV’s Daytime hosts and crew – after it was revealed there would be huge changes both behind the scenes and on the shows. Lorraine Kelly’s self-titled programme will be cut by in half next year, to just half an hour a day and will only air 30 weeks of the year. Loose Women will keep its hour show – but again, it will be cut to just 30 out of 52 weeks a year.

Good Morning Britain will benefit, extending 30 mins to 9.30am each day – and will be produced by a different team than the other shows – Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. Insiders have warned these changes could result in huge redundancies.

Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV’s Media and Entertainment Division, announced the changes last month, where he had said the changes were necessary to “generate savings”.

He said: “Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres. These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever.”

Sources have told The Mirror: “It’s not a case of viewers seeing less of their shows… it’s impossible to see how the high standards will remain the same. Some staff believe Loose Women and Lorraine in particular will enter a death spiral… it’s just so sad. Just a handful of people will be working on each of those two programmes which has huge ramifications for how they are going forward.

“If that’s the case, will Loose Women really still have a live audience…will there be the capacity for that? Everyone doubts it, not least because of the manpower needed to oversee it. Also, there is a huge amount of background work which goes into securing guests… in the new climate how does that continue with barely any staff?”

Speaking of arrests, Maria Connor is released next week after being accused of attacking Lou. She’s released pending further investigations and she wastes no time in confronting Lou for reporting her to the police.

But when Lou denies making the report, who did and is Maria in trouble? Later in, Lou heads to see Gary claiming she doesn’t want any trouble and they soon share a drink.

Todd is still gutted over things ending with Theo next week, and things are worsened for him when he learns Theo is on a dating app judging by a profile he sees. But it seems someone is trying to split the pair up for good, but who could be behind it?

Later in the week, Todd suggests to Theo they should attend the Drag Night at the pub – only for Theo to be inundated by texts from his daughter Millie. When Todd turns his phone onto airplane mode Theo has no idea, until he discovers a number of calls from ex Danielle, with Millie having been rushed to hospital.
