Tonight’s 55-minute-long game was a slap in the face for all the naysayers of LeBron James. Being the oldest active player in the league, he has been subject to much criticism, particularly on a dull day. But the double-overtime victory against an equally dominant dynasty proved that King James was not a washed-up old man. He might be challenging Father Time in every possible way, but Bron does so with singular determination.

And the results were spectacular! Along with pulling his Lakers to a closely contested 145-144 win, the ‘Akron Hammer’ broke a few records as well. His triple-double is the star of the show and Bron is once again in league with the NBA great, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with his numbers. The last time a Laker posted a 30-20-10 game was Kareem, and he hasn’t been in the league since the ’80s.

This was not the only record he broke for the night. James’ 36 points, 12 assists, and 20 rebounds are a career-high in rebounds for the regular season games.

And finally, the 39-year-old became the oldest player in the league history to post a 30-20 game.

The Lakers might be struggling, but LeBron surely is breaking records left and right. To write about each one of them, even the recent ones, would need an entire article dedicated just to that. So, let’s take a look at the most recent achievement, aside from tonight’s, of course.

LeBron James makes history with the NBA All-Star selection

As if this season didn’t have enough milestones, markers, and records that King James broke, the All-Star announcement became the cherry on top. As the league announced the starters for the All-Star game on Thursday, LeBron was given the captaincy of the Western Conference. Not a surprise. But with this season’s selection, the 4x MVP made history once again as the only player to be an All-Star for the 20th time!

The West’s lineup will feature Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant (don’t say he didn’t warn you), Luka Doncic, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Another shocking turn of events was that Stephen Curry wasn’t on the list. After headlining the All-Star game for many years, it was quite a surprise, and probably a snub to be left out of the starters.

Serena Williams welcomed her second child in August 2023, and she’s getting real when it comes to her post-partum body. The tennis star started a series about a Valentino denim skirt she bought while she was pregnant that she hopes to fit into soon.

Captioned, “The Diary of a Denim skirt (part 1) #valentino,“ Williams explained while showing off the skirt, “I got this cool Valentino skirt when I was pregnant, and I was like ‘I’m gonna be able to fit this when I don’t have a belly.’” She quickly admitted, “I can’t fit it.”

She explained that it “should’ve been able to fit it by now” but she admitted she got “distracted” and is about a month behind her goals. “We have a ways to go,” she said. “Houston, we got a problem! Palm Beach, we got a problem!” The mom of 2 quipped.

In a world where celebrity mamas at times choose a quick post-baby solution like weight loss drugs or surgery, Williams is handling it with exercise. “I feel like if I go to the gym and get fit, I’ll be able to fit in again,“ she said confidently. For now, the skirt went back in her drawer.

The Olympic gold medalist, who was named Fashion Icon in November, had so much love in the comments from fans who loved seeing her authenticity and vulnerability. “Well done on sharing the reality of postpartum… not just the glamourized Instagram version,” reads one of the top liked comments.

Others hyped her up, letting her know her curves are a blessing. “Houston disregard… that ain’t no problem,” “Girrrrrrrl that thang is THANGIN!!!!!” and “Honey I’ll take your problem, sincerely a member of the square booty gang,” read some of the happy comments.

One person even brought Drake into the picture, writing, “You know Drake just threw his phone against the wall.” The athlete and rapper sparked dating rumors in 2011.

Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, did not share the exact date their second daughter, Adira, was born, but they confirmed the news on August 22, 2023. They are also the parents of Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, who will turn seven on September 1.

A presidential candidate has predicted that the NFL will rig the upcoming Super Bowl so Joe Biden can win the elections.

The Chiefs are headed back to the big game after beating the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and are set to face the San Francisco 49ers, who got past the Detroit Lions in a come-from-behind win.

Vivek Ramaswamy, who’s previously made a run at the presidential seat, has accused the league of manufacturing the relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift to swing the election President Biden’s way, with Swift an outspoken Biden supporter.

“I wonder who’s going to win the Super Bowl next month. And I wonder if there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall,” Ramaswamy tweeted on Monday morning. “Just some wild speculation over here; let’s see how it ages over the next eight months.”

That’s quite a theory. In true Katt Williams fashion, Ramaswamy has accused Travis and Taylor of being plants.

Still, it’s not hard to get folks to believe that things are being rigged in favor of Kansas City. The claims were always going to come from somewhere.

Could Andy Reid be ready to ride off into the sunset?

The Chiefs head coach is one of the longest-tenured in the NFL, and he’s looking to lead Kansas City to another Super Bowl in his 11th season with the team.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter discussed a few days ago the possibility of the Kansas City Chiefs perhaps pursuing Belichick if head coach Andy Reid decided to retire if he won another Super Bowl. Schefter threw cold water on the notion as he stated Reid is “not thinking about walking away.”

On Monday, he addressed it again on The Pat McAfee Show:

“There are people out there who have wondered about it – if the Chiefs were to win [the Super Bowl], could Andy Reid walk away?” Schefter said.

“The question has come up in the past and the question will come up again in the future. And only he gets to answer that.”

Reid was asked about his future before the 2024 NFL playoffs began:
“I haven’t even thought about that,” Reid said. “I’m thinking about one thing. I figured that would come up when you guys were asking these questions because I’m old — but not that old.”
Reid started as an assistant coach in the league in 1992 with the Green Bay Packers and won a Super Bowl as an assistant there. He has won two more with the Chiefs, including just last season.

He will be 66 years old when the 2024 NFL season begins. The Chiefs head coach is the oldest active head coach in the NFL.

Just as we all suspected, Super Bowl LVIII is less about the teams playing and more about where Taylor Swift will be by the time the game kicks off.

Taylor Swift has a concert in Tokyo less than 24 hours before the Super Bowl on Feb. 11th.

Ahead of the Chiefs’ win over the Ravens in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, it was reported that the 12-time Grammy winner would watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, play in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas despite performing in Japan the night before.

Swift’s concert at the Tokyo Dome on Feb. 10 is scheduled for 6 p.m. local time and shows on her tour last about 4 hours. With the 17-hour time difference between Tokyo and Las Vegas, that means it will be about 1 a.m. Vegas time when she takes the stage in Tokyo.

Now that the Chiefs are playing in the Super Bowl for a second straight season, it’s time for Swift to figure out how she’s going to get there.

It is now being reported that Swift is slated to be on a plane and headed to Vegas as soon as her final show ends.

“It’s a brutal flight, but she’ll get on her plane right after the concert,” a source told Page Six.

Sports business reporter Darren Rovell pointed out that the time difference is a huge help.

Swift has already attended 12 Kansas City games this season, including all three postseason contests.

The team has won nine of the 12 games at which she’s been in attendance.
