C-Mac’s Bold Ultimatum: Juan Soto Urges Extension for Yankees’ Shot at Blake Snell

Juan Soto told Jon Heyman of the New York Post that he would love to see Blake Snell in pinstripes, and once again, C-Mac felt compelled to give Yankee fans a dose of reality when it comes to the reigning NL Cy Young award winner.

    https://youtu.be/eBRCWt9C6C4

“Let me just tell you again, Snell is not coming to the Yankees,” C-Mac said. “Blake Snell will not be a Yankee. He’s going elsewhere. They’re not gonna pay him.”

But, if Soto really wanted his former Padres teammate joining him in pinstripes, C-Mac has a way to make that happen.

“I hope Brian Cashman and Hal Steinbrenner are listening, because if they are, I would go knock on Juan Soto’s door…and tell him ‘You want Blake Snell? I can have him here tomorrow…all you have to do is sign this nice little contract extension for the next 13 years,’” C-Mac said.

“I love Juan Soto and I have no problem with anything the man says…but it’s tough to hear who he thinks the Yankees should bring in when he could be gone in a year. So sign the contract and I’ll bring in Snell tomorrow. I think Hal Steinbrenner would.”

The article included a video in which Frankel, 53, predicted that Swift’s relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wouldn’t last.

“When you get into real life and you get into kids and marriage and things like that… it’s not easy [and] relationships take work. And it’s hard, because Taylor Swift is certainly a peacock. So they’re really usually can only be one peacock in a relationship,” Frankel said during her rant about how the pop star and three-time Super Bowl Champion are both alphas in their relationship.

Fans applauded Ed for dissing the Bravolebrity and sticking up for his son’s romance with Swift.

“Mr. Kelce, you are a f–king legend sir. I salute you,” one person commented on Ed’s post.

“Just when I didn’t think I could love the Kelce Family anymore we get Ed for another win,” a second person wrote.

“Ed you are a legend,” a third supporter chimed in, with another adding, “You are the dad America needs right now!”

“Papa Kelce said, grown or not don’t mess with his bear cub!” a commenter wrote.

Others backed up Ed’s criticism of Frankel and roasted the Skinnygirl founder for ripping into Travis’ romance with the “Anti-Hero” singer.

“She was a Un-Real Housewife. Has an opinion about everything. Trying to stay relevant. Just a Jabroni,” one critic said of Frankel.

“Bethany is no one important. She thinks she knows it all and is a hater about everything and everyone,” another assured.

Ed has been a huge supporter of Travis’ relationship with Swift and gushed about her “gracious” personality earlier this month.

Swift, 34, confirmed her relationship with the NFL star, also 34, in September 2023 after they secretly started dating that summer.

A source told Page Six that the “New Heights” podcast host is planning on proposing to his girlfriend this summer.

Frankel’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Taylor Swift’s camp hits back at claims her dad, Scott, assaulted photographer in Australia

Taylor Swift’s camp has spoken out after the singer’s father was accused of assaulting a paparazzo while the pair were out in Australia early Tuesday.

The megastar’s dad, Scott Swift, allegedly slugged a photographer at Sydney’s ferry wharves as the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker was exiting a yacht.

Local police did not confirm that it was the singer’s father but said a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf at about 2:30 a.m., a New South Wales police spokesperson said.

However, a spokesperson for Swift has set the record straight in a statement to Page Six.

“Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water,” the singer’s camp said.

The alleged victim, who reported the incident, did not require any medical treatment, cops added.

The photographer said he didn’t understand what prompted the alleged violent outburst.

“It was a shock … There was no need for it, the security had it under control,” he told News.com.au. “I’ll leave it in the police’s hands now.”

More than 600,000 tickets were sold to her seven shows in Melbourne and Sydney, including three sold-out shows at the Melbourne Cricket Ground with a record audience of 96,000 fans each night.

One of those die-hard fans was her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who flew all the way to Australia to watch her perform after enjoying a wholesome day out at the Sydney Zoo earlier.

His trip to Sydney was a short one, as he was seen flying back to the US the following day.

On Tuesday, the singer’s luxe private jet was spotted taxiing down the runway at Sydney Airport around midday, just hours after the alleged altercation, the Daily Mail reported.

watch : Taylor swift make it clear that she want kids with Travis Kelce. and It’s junior Travis she wants first !!

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce only began dating in the summer but already speculation among fans over whether they’ll get engaged is reaching fever pitch.

The rumors reached their peak as Kelce prepared for the Kansas City Chiefs to take home the Super Bowl Ring– and some fans hoped the athlete would have a ring of his own for Swift following the win.

Why is there a rush to see Swift and Kelce get married?

The public’s relationship with Swift’s relationship
Swift is not the only celebrity to have faced excited fans looking for a wedding sooner than later. Swift and Kelce are both 34, and neither have been engaged or married yet. But fans have closely followed Swift’s relationships since she was a teenager and have been there for the dating and the breakups.

“The eternally optimist in me is saying that consumers idealize marriage and want the best for the celebrities,” said Kate Kurtin, a professor of communication studies at California State University in Los Angeles, via email. “The cynic in me is saying that consumers feel an entitlement to know details about celebrities’ lives and ‘get the scoop’ and see all the pictures and marriage is the next demand they are placing on Swift and Kelce.”

When celebrities break up, especially Swift, fans tend to take it hard. That’s particularly true for those in a parasocial relationship with the star. That’s a one-sided relationship with a celebrity that is not a friendship but can feel like one, Kurtin said, who has studied the phenomenon.

Fans who are in a parasocial relationship dynamic tend to be more invested in the relationship than a casual fan, as they are following more closely and keeping up with the articles, photos and videos.

“They are happy for her, just like they would be if their interpersonal friend seems to be happy in a new relationship,” Kurtin said.

    The honeymoon phase explained
The couple is still in their “honeymoon phase,” a new relationship where the individuals see one another through “rose-colored glasses,” said Katherine Sloan, a licensed clinical mental health counselor in Asheville, North Carolina, who has been following the star’s relationship.

During the initial stages of a happy relationship, the brain experiences a flooding of neurotransmitters that create pleasure responses, such as dopamine and oxytocin, Sloan said. “We don’t see the red flags, we are just so elated, that, you know, we’re in love with somebody, we don’t notice the nuances that are later going to come up.”

Big decisions like marriage and when to have children are not ones to be taken lightly, yet the pressure only seems to increase after someone reaches their 30s, she added.

Kelce had responded to the questions of marriage from the media with poise, but it can be trickier when the question is coming from family and friends. What’s more, pressure about marriage can put pressure on the couple, Sloan said.

How to handle pressure to get married
The best way to handle the intrusive questions is to set clear boundaries about what topics are open for discussion and which ones are best to be avoided.

“We can be clear about what conversations are and aren’t allowed with other people,” Sloan said. “We can tell our family or friends like, ‘Hey, I’m feeling pressured. And I need time to make sure that I’m really compatible with this person.’”

It is important to have good communication with your partner and understand how they may feel about the pressure, as well as how to answer questions together going forward.

As for Swift and Kelce, they are the only ones who can see what goes on behind closed doors within their relationship.

“I think people are just so invested in it, because people have watched her grow up and have seen her struggle with relationships and want to see her happy,” Sloan said. “And hopefully, this will be it. Hopefully, this is the one. But we don’t know.”

And while fans are longing to see that fairy tale wedding for Swift, and as many people do for their friends and family, the question of marriage is only for the partners to discuss, Sloan said.

As Swift might say, you (and we) need to calm down.

The Kansas City Chiefs are the toast of the NFL. The league’s newest model organization is also its newest dynasty after its victory in Super Bowl LVIII earlier this month — and if the Chiefs are fully healthy in 2024, they will have every opportunity to become the first team ever to win the Super Bowl in three consecutive seasons.

Everyone around the NFL envies this level of success. But to hear Chiefs coach Andy Reid talk about it, the 65-year-old is only too eager to credit one of his team’s transcendent superstars for all the winning over the past five years, a stretch that has seen Kansas City win three Super Bowls after a five-decade drought.

    Reid reveals his “secret”

Speaking at the NFL Scouting Combine in IndianapolisReid credited Patrick Mahomes for much of his success as the Chiefs’ coach. Reid did not directly name Mahomes as the prime reason for Kansas City’s emergence as a juggernaut, but he did say that in order to compete for championships, a team has to have a “good quarterback.” Mahomes is certainly that.

Since taking over the Chiefs’ starting quarterback job in 2018, Mahomes has won two regular-season MVP awards and three Super Bowl MVPs. He can make plays — with his feet as well as his cannon arm — that no other quarterback in the NFL can make, especially out of the general offensive structure. Reid said that in response, all he’s tried to do is “teach” Mahomes how to win, seeing as the 28-year-old seems to have everything else just about figured out.

    Mahomes eyeing more greatness

Mahomes does not turn 30 years old until early in the 2025 NFL season, leaving fans — especially those rooting for the Chiefs — salivating as to what else he can achieve in his career.

Mahomes could make a serious run at Tom Brady‘s record of seven Super Bowl victories, and three more MVP awards would tie him with Peyton Manning for the most in league history. If he wins another Offensive Player of the Year award, Mahomes would become only the ninth player ever to win the honor in multiple seasons. These accolades and more all feel possible if the former Texas Tech standout stays healthy in the coming seasons.

The game of the night in the NBA on Tuesday was a thrilling matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The game went down to the wire, and it was so enthralling that Kansas City Chiefs superstars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes tuned in — and they could not believe how the Cavaliers pulled out the victory.

Cavaliers guard Max Strus hit a buzzer-beating shot from beyond halfcourt to secure a 121-119 win for Cleveland over Luka Doncic and the Mavericks. The incredible shot capped a wild comeback, and it drew the admiration of the two Super Bowl champions as they enjoy their offseason, with head coach Andy Reid attending the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Mahomes in disbelief as Kelce praises the Cavs

The Cavaliers have been red-hot since mid-December, but they found themselves in a bind on Tuesday night at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The Mavericks had a 10-point lead with a little over four minutes to go and appeared ticketed for a big win that would have brought them level with the Phoenix Suns for sixth place in the Western Conference.

Dallas was on the verge of victory when Doncic assisted P.J. Washington‘s layup with 2.6 seconds left, giving it a 119-118 lead. But then, Strus inbounded the ball, got it back, and swished a halfcourt shot for the improbable win — which brought Cleveland’s record over the past 32 games to 25-7.

Mahomes, who knows a thing or two about late drama, took to X (formerly Twitter) immediately and quote-posted a highlight of the Strus shot. He said “ain’t no way” Strus hit that buzzer-beater from that distance, adding three crying laughing emojis and tagging Kelce — who was born in Westlake, Ohio, less than 15 miles from downtown Cleveland.

Kelce — who will be honored with his own bobblehead night in Cleveland next week — said the Cavaliers “got the juice” at this moment in time. The Cavs‘ 38-19 record is good for second in the Eastern Conference, and their defense entering Tuesday night ranked second in the NBA in points allowed per game.

Kelce’s excitement over the Cavs could continue into the summer, with Cleveland in a decent position to do something it has never done — reach the NBA Finals and win a championship without LeBron James on the roster. That could make it a two-championship year for the future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, adding on to his massive contributions in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce isn’t just a powerhouse on the football field; he’s become a hot commodity in the world of endorsements, with a slew of businesses and brands vying for his sponsorship. According to reports, a whopping fifty companies are clamoring to have Kelce represent their products or services, and they’re willing to pay top dollar for the privilege.

One of the standout offers comes from Toyota, which sees Kelce as the “new idol of sports and entertainment” due in part to his high-profile relationship with pop sensation Taylor Swift. The car manufacturer is reportedly prepared to offer Kelce a staggering $1.5 million annually for four years, sweetened with a hefty signing bonus of $1.2 million.

    Video thumbnail

But Toyota isn’t the only company vying for Kelce‘s endorsement. Calvin Klein is also eager to ink a deal with the football star, though the specifics of their offer remain undisclosed. And it’s not just apparel and automotive companies knocking on Kelce’s door; household names like Gillette, Kohl’s, and Samsonite have all thrown their hats into the ring with multi-million dollar proposals.

Kelce is racking up the cash this year

Kelce’s already impressive roster of endorsements includes partnerships with industry giants like Pfizer, Amazon, Nike, and L’Homme Helzberg Diamonds. Combined with his lucrative football contract, which sees the Chiefs owing him $30 million over the next two years, Kelce is set to enjoy financial security for years to come.

However, amidst the flurry of business inquiries, questions arise about Kelce’s availability to continue playing football. With the Chiefs eyeing a third consecutive title, Kelce remains a crucial asset on the field. Yet, with his burgeoning off-field commitments, balancing endorsements and gridiron duties may prove challenging.

As speculation swirls about Kelce‘s future endeavors, one thing is certain: whether he’s catching passes or pitching products, Travis Kelce’s star power shows no signs of dimming anytime soon.

  • The Rising Wave: Unveiling Cody Morris as a Potential Diamond in the Rough for the Yankees

The Rising Wave: Unveiling Cody Morris as a Potential Diamond in the Rough for the Yankees

If you watched the New York Yankees play the Minnesota Twins on Monday, it might have been surprising to see a 6-foot-4 right-hander looking sharp, albeit in just 2.1 innings. That man was Cody Morris, picked up in a small trade from the Cleveland Guardians for Estevan Florial.

At first glance, Morris doesn’t seem to be the sexiest acquisition of New York’s offseason, and rightfully so. This is a player who comes into the Bronx with a 6.75 ERA after struggling with injury following his rookie campaign. Yet, this is what makes him a diamond in the rough.

While the former Guardian did make five starts in that rookie season in 2022, I’m almost certain that he’ll be better utilized out of the bullpen when considering his recent injury history. If you read my previous article related to Blake Snell, you’d know that I’m not very high on New York’s current starting pitching depth.

Through the grind of a long MLB season, injuries are bound to happen and if the Yankees aim to ride it out with this current pitching staff, they’re going to need as much bullpen firepower as they can bring. Of course, that’s if options like Clayton Beeter, Luis Gil or even Cody Poteet don’t pan out at all and Morris is then called upon for longer innings.

New York Yankees pitcher Luis Velasquez throws during the third inning of a spring training baseball game against the Minnesota Twins Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, in Tampa, Fla. Photo by Charlie Neibergall/AP Photo)

That’s where the tutelage of Matt Blake becomes even more important. New York fans have become well aware that the pitching coach is famous for turning less into more on a consistent basis. From Wandy Peralta to Clay Holmes, the former Holy Cross graduate is known for his ability to get career seasons out of players that may have been mid-tier to below-average options. While Morris has shown in the past that he does have some impressive skills, I believe that Blake can get even more out of him.

One of the things I’m a big fan of with the former Guardian is his pitching arsenal. Morris boasts a fastball, cutter, curveball and changeup, with that fastball headlining those options. His No. 1 pitch sits at an average speed of 95 mph, and the velocity of his fastball sat in the 71st percentile of MLB pitchers in 2023, even in a small sample size. Additionally, Morris’ cutter sat at an average of 88.9 last season.

Notably, as SNY writer Ben Krimmel brilliantly pointed out, Morris also has a 38.6% ground ball rate, something that the organization typically values out of its bullpen arms and another aspect that Blake can look to improve on with the Maryland native.

Lastly, while the Yankees certainly have a talented bullpen, they have lost some important pieces like Michael King and Peralta. That means that the franchise will need some new players to step up in their absence and I’m inclined to believe that Morris can be one of those options. With the small sample size that he’s displayed throughout his brief time in the league, I would not be surprised if this ends up being another steal for Brian Cashman.

  • Sensational Twist: Juan Soto Endorses Blake Snell for Yankees – Could There be a Hidden ‘Extension’ Agenda?

Sensational Twist: Juan Soto Endorses Blake Snell for Yankees – Could There be a Hidden ‘Extension’ Agenda?

Juan Soto is endorsing Blake Snell for the New York Yankees, and this has made the baseball world curious.

On one hand, some believe that it’s a genuine desire to strengthen the team. On the other, there are brewing whispers of an ulterior motive. So what is it about this subject that’s gaining so much traction?

There is an underlying connection. Both Soto and Snell are the powerful super agent Scott Boras’ clients. This fact is fuel for speculation that Soto’s advocacy is not so much about on-field impact as it is about leveraging the Yankees’ pursuit of Snell to secure a conducive extension for himself.

New Perspectives Fuel the Fire as Juan Soto and the New York Yankees Discuss Extension

Social media is flooded with comments supporting this theory. One of the tweets read, “Juan Soto has joined Aaron Judge, and Gerrit Cole is advocating all out for Blake Snell (@snellzilla4) to the @Yankees. The Pressure on the #Yankees to get this deal skyrockets with this as it likely means Soto is using it to help his extension talks! @JuanSoto25_”. This makes one wonder if Scott Boras is the mind behind this action.

Well, another layer to this perspective surfaced on social media. Is it possible that Brian Cashman is telling Boras that he’d sign the 2x Cy Young award winner contingent on Soto accepting a lifetime extension immediately? There are no reports refuting the above, which makes it likely that there’s a strategy at play with Soto’s own contract negotiations in mind.

Whether there is a master plan or not, Soto’s praise for his former teammate’s talent and personality is genuine. But it’s the timing of his public endorsement that gives the world food for thought. With contract talks underway, using his influence to nudge the Yankees in the direction of a specific player could be seen as an astute tactic. That said, it’s important to look at this from the lens of the Yankees.

    The Yankees’ Dilemma

The Yankees are already exceeding the luxury tax threshold and are faced with a big decision. Now, adding Snell’s hefty salary would strain their financial capabilities further. On the contrary, the possibility of a supremely dominant rotation with Cole and Snell, coupled with the dominance of Soto is infatuating. While drooling over this is inevitable, it makes the situation quite complex.

But isn’t it known that the world of professional sports blends camaraderie with calculated business decisions? In this case, the 25-year-old Dominican’s support for Snell could be a mix of both. Only time can tell if the Yankees bite the bait (if it’s a bait) and sign Snell. Now this is an intriguing case to follow closely.

  • Yankees’ Shocking Pivot: Astros’ Pursuit Triggers Potential Moves for Blake Snell or Dylan Cease?

Yankees’ Shocking Pivot: Astros’ Pursuit Triggers Potential Moves for Blake Snell or Dylan Cease?

Might the Astros seize an opportunity to bolster their rotation and wound the Yankees in one fell swoop?

San Diego Padres pitcher Blake Snell / Orlando Ramirez/GettyImages

The Houston Astros, while a bit sluggish in the early going of Grapefruit League action, should be among the best teams in baseball when the dust settles. With Jose Altuve, Yordan Álvarez, Alex Bregman, and Kyle Tucker stepping into the batter’s box every night, opposing pitchers are going to have a problem.

The back end of the bullpen, much like the Astros lineup, will be elite in 2024. Though some questions remain about the middle innings, if Houston can maintain a lead heading into the seventh inning, Bryan Abreu, Ryan Pressly, and Josh Hader are going to lock things down most nights.

But the Astros rotation is bit of a question mark. The New York Yankees had been chasing after Dylan Cease earlier this offseason, and recent reports suggest that Brian Cashman and agent Scott Boras have had conversations centering around Blake Snell. Maybe now is the moment for the Astros to kill two birds with one stone by solidifying the rotation and sticking it to the Yankees.

Could Yankees backing off lead Astros to Blake Snell or Dylan Cease?

The Astros already surprised the baseball world earlier this offseason after agreeing to make Hader the highest-paid reliever in Major League Baseball history. Why not shock the pundits once again and also send Cashman crying to the back page of the New York newspapers if he’s not going to take his Snell pursuit seriously?

The Yankees are arguably the Astros’ biggest competition in the American League next season. Taking nothing away from AL West Division rivals, the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners, but the Yankees lineup is one of the most imposing in baseball. Add the Baltimore Orioles to the list, and it would be rather unbelievable if one of those five teams wasn’t representing the AL in the World Series.

The Yankees tried to snag Cease earlier this offseason, but the price tag was said to be too high. New York then settled on Marcus Stroman who, if we’re being honest, is a middle of the rotation starter in a good rotation. Throw in Carlos Rodón, Nestor Cortes, and Gerrit Cole, and you can see why the Yankees are high on Snell. Acquiring the reigning NL Cy Young Award-winner could put them in the cat bird’s seat in the American League. So … why are they still so far apart in potential conversations, as Jon Heyman noted on Tuesday?

The Astros shouldn’t close the door to Blake Snell

At last year’s trade deadline, the Astros were said to have interest in both a starter and reliever from the San Diego Padres. Seeing as how both Hader and Snell were free agents to be and San Diego had fallen out of contention, the logical conclusion is that Houston was looking to snag both southpaws from the Padres last summer.

That would lead one to believe that there’s obvious interest from the Astros’ camp when it comes to Snell. However, having already blown past last year’s payroll and crossed the Competitive Balance Tax threshold, any deal the Astros now execute will come with added dollars to the contract.

But with Luis Garcia and Lance McCullers Jr. out until midseason, and former Cy Young Award-winner Justin Verlander dealing with shoulder issues during his age 41 season, it’s easy to see how the Astros could use another proven starter. After watching Cody Bellinger, who’s also represented by Boras, sign a short-term, high AAV deal with the Chicago Cubs, perhaps the Astros could do something similar with Snell.

Either one of Dylan Cease or Blake Snell is going to cost the Houston Astros prospect capital or a lot of money, but adding depth the rotation while watching the New York Yankees fumble away another opportunity would be priceless.
