[Pictures] 40 Farms Across America Pay Homage to Reba McEntire With With Epic Corn Mazes

As we prepare to be immersed in pumpkin spice everything, more than 40 farms across America are gearing up for fall by paying tribute to a country music icon, Reba McEntire.

Corn is really showing out for the fall season this year — 40-plus farms in 24 different states have teamed up to etch McEntire’s face into their crops, and celebrate the redheaded Queen of Country Music.

This idea stems from the MAiZE Inc.: The McEntire-etched corn mazes can be found in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wyoming.

It’s not as easy to appreciate the work while walking through one of the Reba mazes — which are slated to open to the public on September 16 — as it is to check out the aerial views of the designs.

Just imagine how large of an area 5 acres is, then imagine McEntire’s face strewed across in, all beautifully carved in corn.

McEntire is proud to be a part of this, commenting:

“Growing up on a ranch in Oklahoma, I know how important agriculture is and I love being involved with something that brings more people out to farms across the country for good wholesome fun!”
You can see the exact locations of each maze, as well as its sketch, here. Each corn maze has a different theme, but with one central topic: Reba.

It’s hard to fathom the work that goes into this — all 40 of these corn mazes are unique and so beautifully done. Maybe someone out there will make it their duty to visit all 40 of them?

  • Henry Cavill’s setback, Argylle’s disastrous consequences and his path to redemption

Henry Cavill’s setback, Argylle’s disastrous consequences and his path to redemption

    Henry Cavill’s setback

“Argylle” was the forgettable bombshell of Henry Cavill’s career. The role of the spy is rigid, dry and not even related to the main plot.

After two weeks of release, Argylle (Vietnamese title: Argylle super spy) only grossed $ 77.5 million worldwide, of which $ 37.4 million came from the North American market. This is a disappointing number for an action movie with a budget of $ 200 million, according to IMDb.

Not only considered a box office disaster, director Matthew Vaughn’s work in the eyes of experts is also a forgettable bombshell both in terms of content and script. The film also saw Henry Cavill’s slide on the path to career development.

    Rigid roles

According to writer Louis Chilton, the 3-star review in The Independent is still “light-handed” compared to many critics in general. For example, Insider even called Argylle “unbearably complacent,” calling the 139-minute film “extremely empty.”

Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter, Empire and Vanity Fair all agree that the talent of the cast is wasted, especially Henry Cavill. “Appearing with a gravity-defying Action Man hairstyle and an ugly jacket, Secret Service Argylle — the character played by Henry — is just the embodiment of the loose idea of super-spies like James Bond,” The Independent reports.

For the past two years, Cavill has been considered a possible successor to the role of agent 007 from Daniel Craig. Without waiting long, the 41-year-old actor soon turned into a spy but in the disaster version Argylle – a rigid, dry spy and not even related to the main plot.

Cavill’s portrayal of the fictional super spy is even more criticized for its lack of depth and caricature than its fully developed character. Despite his extensive appearances in promotional activities, he did not have much acting land on film.

Argylle hits theaters at a time when Cavill struggles to find the right direction after a series of previous hit roles. Already famous before the 2010s for The Tudors and making his mark as Superman in Man of Steel, or starring in the hit fantasy series The Witcher, Cavill now needs a role impressive enough to put his career back on track.

Fans speculated about Cavill stepping down from his role as the white-haired Geralt in The Witcher to wait and devote himself to a new Superman sequel. However, in late 2022, the actor unexpectedly revealed he was removed from the iconic role following DC’s strategic overhaul.

“Henry is at the stage where he needs to really prove his acting abilities if he wants to survive as a Hollywood A-lister. Unfortunately, Argylle didn’t help him get there,” commented writer Louis Chilton.

The Independent suggested that it would be unfair to hold Cavill accountable for Argylle’s failures. However, it is impossible to avoid the fact that this work has somewhat made his career precarious.

New movies that promise to shine

Henry Cavill’s case is reminiscent of Chris Evans. Both struggled on their journey to reinvent themselves after parting ways as superheroes. But if “Captain America” fails back-to-back with the controversial series, according to SCreenrant, Henry Cavill has the potential to turn the tide.

On May 4, war film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare will be released. Based on the true story of the British Special Action Service (SOE) set up during World War II, Cavill stars Gus March-Phillips, the officer who helped found the legendary SAS regiment.

Under the molding hands of Guy Ritchie – the director who has achieved commercial success with blockbusters Sherlock Holmes, U.N.C.L.E, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Aladdin – The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare promises thrilling content, really a work worth looking forward to.

And while Argylle gave Cavill a forgettable start to 2024, subsequent titles featuring him will shine, observers insist.

Audiences hope the careers of Henry Cavill and Chris Evans both take off after their failed roles. Photo: Pinterest.

Cavill’s other new projects are in the process of taking shape. He is scheduled to star in a reboot of the Highlander series and Warhammer 40,000, which is an adaptation of a video game produced by Amazon Studios. These films were a far cry from the spy genre that had plagued Cavill before.

In particular, Highlander is a long-loved franchise and is commented in accordance with the actor’s abilities. Warhammer 40,000 is a project filled with Cavill’s personal passion.

Screenrant predicted: “The actor has had great success with genres inspired by fantasy genres like the DCEU’s or The Witcher. Now Warhammer and Highlander can both help him overcome the frustration caused by Argylle.”

The Entertainment section introduces Hollywood: The Oral History. This is a book full of on-set stories, technical details, funny anecdotes about the actors, the strategies of studio executives or complaints about critics.

Gwen Stefani reveals Reba McEntire’s INCREDIBLE thing

Both independently and together, Blake Shelton and his pop superstar wife Gwen Stefani are used to the fandom that comes along with fame. During something as simple as a family road trip through their home turf in Oklahoma, it’s pretty common for fans to spot them out in public and stop them to say hi.

Gwen Stefani đã trực tiếp biết rằng lượng fan hâm mộ của Reba McEntire rất lớn ở Oklahoma [Xem]

“We went on a little road trip in Oklahoma just recently, with the boys, and we rolled up to some Dairy Queen,” Stefani recounts during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. “Like, you know, ‘Can we get an ice cream?’ And they’re like, ‘Oh my God, it’s Blake Shelton!’”

As Shelton chatted with fans and waiting on the family’s Blizzards, it quickly became clear that as big of a star as Shelton was, there was one local celebrity even bigger: Reba McEntire.

Gwen Stefani on Blake Shelton’s Reaction to Reba McEntire’s Fans

“She’s actually from Oklahoma,” Stefani reminds the show’s studio audience. “Which is funny, because now I’m a transplant because I married Blake, and it’s just kind of interesting, because she’s an Okie!”

That fact became very clear to Stefani and the rest of the crew after they hit the Dairy Queen, as they continued to see evidence of Reba everywhere in small-town Oklahoma.

“She’s like, ‘You should go over and see Reba’s Place [Restaurant], it’s right around the corner,’” Stefani continues. “And then we went into this thrift store, and there was a framed picture of Reba in there, signed. I was like, ‘Oh my God, there she is again!’ Then we went to some other Italian restaurant, and there was another framed picture of her. All in one day! It was everywhere.”

These days, Stefani is spending quite a bit of time with her fellow Okie: McEntire is a coach on the current season of The Voice alongside Stefani, Niall Horan and John Legend. She’s the replacement for Shelton, who ended his tenure as country coach after Season 23.

  • Henry Cavill redefines controversial boundaries about the necessity of 18+ scenes “Does it tarnish acting?”

Henry Cavill redefines controversial boundaries about the necessity of 18+ scenes “Does it tarnish acting?”

Starting from actor Henry Cavill’s sharing about hating to play hot scenes, the entertainment industry once again erupted into debate whether 18+ segments are necessary in the movie.

    Hot scenes overshadow the acting

In early February, while participating in the Happy Sad Confused podcast with director Matthew Vaughn, Henry Cavill declared that he was not a fan of the film’s hot scene.

He admits there are instances where sex scenes actually benefit the film, not just to entice the audience. However, the actor, born in 1983, thinks that sensitive segments seem to be overused in current filmmaking. That led him to question whether it was really necessary or just people wearing fewer clothes.

Henry Cavill argues that movies today are abusing hot scenes. Picture: Allstar.

The 41-year-old Superman added that it is possible for writers and directors to add hot scenes for storytelling purposes, but fans are unlikely to notice that aspect, focusing only on the actor’s naked body.

With 18+ images flooding TV and movies today, Cavill is like a lone moral crusader fighting for his own ideals. However, another character takes the initiative to come to his side. She is a veteran performer, undergoing many changes on screen and has a deep enough understanding of the demands that force actors to undress in the name of art.

On Radio Times, Joanna Lumley said she wanted to cut out sex scenes in the film entirely.

    Video Player is loading.

“The moment you take off your clothes, the audience will look at you, your actors, and your features — what your breasts and genitals look like. You immediately lose the character you built. There’s a playground element in it — pull your pants down and see what you have. I’ll cut them completely. They slow things down. They are rude and terrible,” the actress, who was born in 1946, said.

The British emcee emphasized that nudity is considered something that all female actors have to endure, including veteran stars like Vanessa Redgrave, Julie Christie …

According to Joanna Lumley, the hot scene only distracts the audience, affecting the flow of the film. Picture: Getty Images.

A 2019 study found that films produced in the 2010s had fewer nude scenes than in other years since the 1960s. Specifically, only 1.21% of films produced in the 2010s featured nudity. This may be because the context has changed.

In the past, directors did not think about making a star undress just to get an innocuous moment of agitation that made them face the fact nude scenes would exist forever on the Internet at the present time.

In October 2023, a survey of 1,500 teens conducted by the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) found that demand for on-screen is declining.

The majority of respondents said sex was unnecessary in the film to serve the plot progression, while many expressed a desire to see a greater focus on platonic friendship.

Is Henry Cavill wrong to criticize hot scenes?

However, the above research appears to be outdated. 2023 sees the rise of works filled with bold and unusual hot scenes. Of course, not all of those hot scenes are necessary.

Despite the long and fierce debate about how much she despises women, Poor Things is the story of a woman who uses sex to build her entire personality. So removing the 18+ image will deprive the movie of its heart.

But if we remove the hot scene in Oppenheimer, which includes the scene where Florence Pugh takes off her shirt, we are left with a version of the “father” of the full atomic bomb, only slightly shorter.

The hot scene is considered the heart of Poor Things.

The same is true for television. HBO’s disaster series The Idol feels like it was created as nothing more than a medium for nudity, with the intention of attracting the attention of audiences like other films before it. But the results were terrible, because what remained was just countless meaningless nude scenes.

The focus of the entire production is on the actors’ unclothed bodies. The cost is the characters, the plot and even lackluster acting skills. The film fails for a reason Lumley gave in the Radio Times — which is to “pull down your pants and see what you have.”

If audiences really just want to see nude actors, it’s easy for them to find even more authentic footage on the Internet. Why should they subscribe to an expensive movie streaming service to watch outdated stuff on TV series when everyone has a cell phone and wifi?

In The Guardian, British writer Stuart Heritage has an essay analyzing why Henry Cavill was wrong to criticize the hot scene.

The author of Bedtime Stories for Worried Liberals says this view can be rooted in personal experience. The actor’s first film Hotel Laguna was filled with superfluous, boring sex scenes. Similarly, The Tudors TV project is littered with ridiculous footage.

“Maybe if you spent years of your life unhappily suffering in front of your coworkers knowing that your moment of vulnerability would be forever held on the Internet without any context, you wouldn’t care about the idea of (playing a hot scene)” either,” Heritage writes.

However, Heritage thinks that mindset could change if Henry Cavill works with the right director. The proper encouragement, the good script, and the chance to take home an Oscar probably helped him soothe his attitude towards on-screen sex, even feeling amused.

Heritage points to Poor Things, All of Us Strangers, and Saltburn as exemplifying how hot scenes are essential to the plot and so exciting.

You Won’t Believe What the Cast of ‘Reba’ Looks Like Now

YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT THE CAST OF ‘REBA’ LOOKS LIKE NOW!

You know what Reba McEntire has been up to since Reba, but most of her castmates have stayed pretty busy, too! With rumors of a reboot of her early-’00s television show flying around like seagulls at the beach, it seemed like it’d be fun to see what the rest of the cast looks like these days.

Little Jake is all grown up. That rapscallion Van is a red-blooded stud. Brock is the FaceApp we all wish we had, and Cheyenne married herself a millionaire. A few of the stars of Reba are out of the business, but recent photos show each is thriving even after — in the case of one of the women on the show — a battle with anorexia.

The TV show Reba premiered on Oct. 5, 2001 and aired from then until 2007 on the WB and the CW Networks, and in recent years the main players (McEntire and Peterman among them) have talked about getting the gang together for even more fun. No firm plans have become public, and fans of the long-running family show might be disheartened by the lack of success of McEntire’s ABC follow-up Malibu Country and a pilot that didn’t get picked up a few years ago.

Is there still an audience for the Hart family? Scroll down to see what the cast is up to.

She’s Reba! The television series and its eventual cancelation didn’t slow McEntire’s music career. While she’s not getting rewarded with radio airplay, the Hall of Famer keeps creating great albums while she maintains a high profile as host of shows like the ACM Awards.

Peterman and McEntire remain very good friends, with the actress and comedian often appearing during specials like the ACM Awards. Reba McEntire is more than a country music legend. She’s also an accomplished actress. Over the years, she’s built a strong filmography with roles in both movies and TV shows. Among the roles she has played is June Ballard on the hit Big Bang Theory prequel Young Sheldon. McEntire appeared in a total of six episodes of the series.

McEntire first appeared on the show during season three. She returned for three episodes in season four and two more in season five. The show is currently in its seventh and final season with the finale set to air in May. Many are hoping that the “Fancy” singer will come back to reprise the role of June Ballard. The show’s executive producer, Steve Holland is among those who want to see her return.

In a recent interview with TVLine, Holland said he and the rest of the team hope to see McEntire return to the show before it ends. “We would love to have her back,” he said of the “I’m a Survivor” singer. That desire isn’t one-sided. “She’s expressed interest, but she’s very busy,” Holland said. “She has another sitcom pilot that she’s shooting. So, I just don’t know if it’s going to work out,” he added.

McEntire has her hands full. Along with the new sitcom she hopes to get off the ground, she’s on her second season as a coach on The Voice. So, it may be hard for her to find time to return to the Young Sheldon set before the show comes to an end.

McEntire’s former Reba co-star Melissa Peterman is a series regular on Young Sheldon. However, even when they appeared in the same episode of the show, they didn’t share a scene. Holland revealed that Peterman has been wanting to work with her former co-star again.

“It’s a thing that Melissa reminds us of often,” Holland said. “She would love to be in scenes with Reba. Part of the reason Reba’s on the show is because she and Melissa are close friends, and Melissa let us know that Reba is a fan,” he revealed.

Later in the day, David showed off his new chickens and cockerel that had been gifted to him by Victoria on Christmas Day.

The former athlete filmed the birds as he walked up to the coop while shaking a bucket of feed.

It comes after David brushed up on his hen keeping skills last week.

Posh took to Instagram on Friday to share a photo of David reading ‘keeping chickens for dummies’.

She wrote: ‘Just a little Friday night reading for @DavidBeckham’.

The book is a much needed gift for David as it provides an introduction to keeping chickens, their correct feeding regime and expert advice from the River Cottage ‘Chicken Whisperer’.

Victoria set up a hutch and hen pen for David at their Cotswolds farmhouse to add to his own beehives on the sprawling estate.

The fashion designer proudly showed off the brood of Beckham hens complete with cockerel on Instagram.

‘Some chickens and a cockerel, the footballer replied as his wife continued: ‘Beckham’s chickens’.

Victoria joked: ‘There’s also a really massive cock in there as well’ before she branded their new feathered friends ‘camera shy’.

Brooklyn Beckham will follow in dad David’s footsteps by launching his own personal BRAND named after soccer star’s shirt number – after filing trademarks for everything from hot sauce to his own VIRTUAL UNIVERSE

Brooklyn Beckham is in the advanced stages of planning the launch of his very own ‘Brand Beckham’ – called Cloud 23 after the No 23 shirt which David Beckham wore at Real Madrid and LA Galaxy.

Brooklyn, 24, who is the oldest son of Becks and his fashion designer wife Victoria Beckham, has set up a Californian company called Peltz Beckham – the blended family name he took after marrying model Nicola Peltz last year.

Lawyers for Peltz Beckham LLC have filed for a slew of trademarks for Cloud 23 at the US Patents Office to cover everything from kitchen knives and cutlery to hats, T-shirts and sweatshirts, as well as sauces, alcohol (including spirits and beer), and non-fungible tokens… and plenty more in between.

Sources say that Brooklyn’s billionaire father-in-law Nelson Peltz – who recently announced plans to nominate himself to the board of Disney – has been advising him on building his empire.

There are plenty of signs of an initial focus on hot sauce – something the Daily Mail previously revealed was a plan in the works for Brooklyn, who took up cooking during the pandemic and now makes a living as a culinary social media star.

He’s asked to trademark Cloud 23 for a range of sauces from Worcestershire and steak to ketchup, mayo, aioli, as well as all kinds of chili including sriracha, picante, pico de gallo, chimichurri and wasabi.

On the sweet side there are mentions of maple syrup, honey, raspberry coulis and chocolate sauce.

The company is also seeking to trademark Cloud 23 guacamole, tahini and tapenade.

But interestingly, Cloud 23 is going to live up to its name and be a brand in the virtual world, too.

Beckham is seeking trademarks for the ‘provision of an online marketplace for buyers and sellers of hot sauce’ and for selling other food and beverage products virtually, for use in a virtual world.

And it’s not just virtual food and drink that the Cloud 23 label could cover.

Trademarks are also being sought for ‘providing online, non-downloadable virtual footwear, clothing, headwear, eyewear, bags, sports bags, backpacks, sports equipment, art, toys, toy accessories, digital animated and non-animated designs and characters, avatars, digital overlays, and skins for use in virtual environments.’

It will provide those virtual environments, too; where ‘users can interact for recreational, leisure, or entertainment purposes.’

If all this sounds like a completely different world to you, you’re not alone.

Metaverse platforms like Roblox, Decentraland and The Sandbox have massive in-game economies where revenue can be generated by selling folks everything their avatar desires.

Users dress up their characters with skins (not actual epidermis, rather digital decorations), and purchase virtual clothing to express individuality and demonstrate status. All of which can be resold, or swapped with other avatars.

Another, slightly easier to understand, application seeks to brand the ‘streaming of entertainment content and live streaming of entertainment events via an online environment.’

DailyMail.com has contacted Brooklyn’s spokesperson for comment.

Meanwhile, back in the (real) kitchen, critics have carped at the standard of Brooklyn’s cooking, which sits more at the well-funded amateur end of the spectrum.

In his Cookin’ With Brooklyn series on Facebook in 2022, he asked a chef how he would know when a hash brown was cooked, and appeared to have no idea how to batter or fry fish. There were 62 crew on the show.

Brooklyn has also received a lot of negative responses over the creation of his show in general, with some people slamming him for landing his own series even though he never completed any culinary training.

Brooklyn has spent years trying his hand at different careers – including modeling, photography, and soccer – and over the years, he has faced immense scrutiny over some of the other opportunities that he’s received, with many accusing him of only getting them due to his family name.

Back in 2016, when Brooklyn was hired to shoot a Burberry campaign at age 16 – despite having very little experience – prominent photographer Chris Floyd branded it as ‘sheer nepotism,’ while fashion snapper Jon Gorrigan described it as an ‘injustice.’

Despite this, he has built an online following of more than 16.4 million on Instagram which has allowed him to pick up endorsement deals with companies including Dunkin Donuts, Typhur cookware, Chosen foods and sake purveyors Wesake, in which he is an investor.

Brooklyn has admitted he’s been looking for something he would ‘literally die for,’ said he ‘found that with cooking.’

He also insisted to Insider in October that he was ‘working his bum off’ and stated that he would not be stopping any time soon because ‘cooking makes him happy.’

‘To be honest, I’m used to the hate. It doesn’t really bother me. Cooking makes me happy,’ he said.

‘I have more important things to worry about than people saying a little bit of rubbish about me.

‘My message to them is to keep writing whatever they want to write. There are always going to be people out there who try and pull you down.

‘I’m doing my thing and working my bum off. So they can keep writing what they want, but it’s not going to bother me – I’m just going to keep doing my thing.’

He will have some way to go, though, to emulate the business success of his parents, who have built Brand Beckham into a huge empire of endorsements and enterprises, including a football team in Miami for David, a fashion and beauty line for Victoria, and deals with Maserati and Adidas. Collectively, the couple is worth around $450 million.

Brooklyn’s father David picked the No 23 shirt when he moved to play for Real Madrid because his preferred No 7, which he wore at Manchester United, was not available (being already taken by Spanish footballer Raul).

His new number was a nod to his ‘ultimate sporting hero,’ the legendary basketball player Michael Jordan, who wore the No 23 jersey throughout his career.

Brooklyn developed a passion for the sport when the family was living in LA, and his dad would regularly take him to watch the Lakers.

Brooklyn’s nod towards his dad in his new brand is a big move considering that rumors erupted in 2022 that he had a falling out with his parents over his relationship with Nicola.

The alleged fight started at his and Nicola’s wedding, when it was reported that the former Victoria and David were not seated at the bride and groom’s table.

An onlooker claimed that the Beckhams ‘were not at the forefront’ and that the ‘wedding was all about the Peltz family.’

There also seemed to be tensions over Nicola’s wedding dress, as Nicola said in an interview with Grazia that fashion guru Victoria was supposed to make her gown but seemingly accused her of backing out of their agreement.

After that, fans began to notice that Nicola and Victoria – who previously fawned over each other’s pictures online – started scarcely liking each other’s pictures on social media.

Rumors were intensified when Brooklyn missed his family vacation in June 2022 to spend time with his wife’s relatives instead.

It seems as though tensions have died down as Brooklyn and Nicola were seen celebrating Christmas in the Bahamas with David and Victoria and the rest of his family recently

A source told DailyMail.com that September that Victoria was ‘heartbroken’ over the fallout with her daughter-in-law Nicola and the strain it put on her relationship with Brooklyn.

But weeks later, the family seemed to put the feud to rest as they reunited to attend Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show.

It was said that Brooklyn and David had a confrontation before the event, with a source telling DailyMail.com, ‘I don’t think David has ever lost his temper with Brooklyn or had cause to talk to him harshly, but that has now finally happened.

‘He had it out with him and told him: “We don’t do this in our family – and you know that we don’t do this in our family,”‘ they added, regarding Nicola’s Grazia interview.

David reported told Brooklyn: ‘What happens next is up to you, but we are done with the drama.’

‘David was really appalled by the Grazia interview because it seemed to be washing the family dirty linen in public – and he said that [Brooklyn’s brothers] Romeo and Cruz are also hurt by it,’ the insider continued.

‘It was probably a shock as he’s never done anything other than tell Brooklyn how much he adores him.’

Since then, it seems as though tensions have died down as Victoria and David wished Nicola a happy birthday in early 2023 on social media.

In addition, the couple has been spending time with their son and his wife numerous times in the last year, and they even jetted off to the Bahamas together with the rest of his family to celebrate Christmas.

Reba McEntire Nearly Quit Music When Her Mom Died — What Changed Her Mind?

Reba McEntire’s music career almost ended when her mother died. Jacqueline McEntire passed in March 2020 at the age of 93, after a battle with cancer. The heartbreak was unbearable for the country veteran.

The grief was so bad, in fact, it almost made the star quit her music career.

Why Reba McEntire Nearly Quit Music When Her Mom Died

During a recent visit to Today, McEntire recounted the grieving process she went through with her siblings, Alice, Pake and Susie.

Reba McEntire almost quit singing after mother's death

“We were cleaning out the house, and I was going through pictures. I said, ‘I just don’t think I wanna do this anymore,’” the “I’m a Survivor” singer recalls saying to her sister, Susie.

“She said, ‘What?’ I said, ‘Sing.’”

“She said, ‘Why?’ I said, ”Cause I always did it for Mama,’” McEntire reveals.

“She said, ‘Oh, you’ll get it back.’ I did.”

Susie was right, and the Oklahoma native has been able to channel her emotions into her music. Recently McEntire released “Seven Minutes in Heaven,” a touching song and video that allowed her to pay tribute to her late mother.

“When you find a song that really touches your heart and chokes you up — I gotta sing it. I gotta record it. That’s what you’re always looking for, is the song that touches your heart,” she explains. “That way, when I sing it, it’ll hopefully touch your heart, too.”

To take things a step further, the track’s music video features a special cameo resembling her mom, Jacqueline. McEntire says she sent the video to her siblings, and Susie called her about it. The two didn’t say much on the phone, but they shared plenty of tears.

“Seven Minutes in Heaven” isn’t the only musical tribute in McEntire’s catalog about her mother: In 2019, she memorialized Jacqueline with a song called “You Never Gave Up on Me,” which her mom was able to hear while she was still here.
