Now, BoxRec have named and ranked the 10 most popular boxers in the world right now based on their followers.

Mexican Saul Canelo Alvarez was ranked as the most popular boxer with a total number of 5070 followers on BoxRec.

Alvarez is the only boxer in history to become the undisputed champion at super middleweight.

Tyson Fury was named in second place, having amassed 3635 followers. The Brit was closely followed by Terence Crawford with 3578.

Gennadiy Golovkin was fourth and Joshua rounded off the top five.

The likes of Gervonta Davis, Vasyl Lomachenko, Naoya Inoue, Oleksandr Usyk and Deontay Wilder were also named on the list.

Francis Ngannou says he didn’t feel right in the moments before his heavyweight bout with Anthony Joshua and was even “falling asleep’ in the locker room.

The former UFC heavyweight champion, who was unlucky not to have his hand raised when he came up against Tyson Fury in October, suffered a devastating knockout defeat to Joshua on Friday.

After flooring Ngannou with his trademark right inside the first round, AJ continued to apply pressure before landing another power punch, knocking his opponent unconscious.

Ringside officials moved quickly to administer oxygen to Ngannou, who has since opened up about his knockout while speaking to fans in an Instagram live stream.

“I was conscious right after [the knockout], and since then everything’s been good,” he said. “I’m still going to run some medical work, just in case.”

Ngannou also opened up on how he was feeling, just hours before suffering the second loss of his professional boxing career.

“I remember being in the locker [room] trying to warm up, and bro, it wasn’t going well,” he recalled. “I was falling asleep. I’m sweating, but I was falling asleep.

“But I’m sure that’s how some people that I have fought and have beaten have been before.”

He added: “No blame on anybody, the blame here is all on me. It is the game unfortunately. We all knew it could happen[the KO].

“I wasn’t seeing it happen like that, but I always knew it could happen. At least, I was always prepared for that.”

The Cameroon-born MMA fighter, who is currently signed to the Professional Fighters League, is keen on making a return to boxing when the time is right.

“Right now, I don”t know exactly what fight I”ll be looking for next,” he said.

“I know that I”m going to take some time to rest up, focus on myself, and then when I”m ready, I will get back to training.

“It’s not over yet – not at all, We’re just getting started. The only thing that we will miss this year is time, and I think we have some good amount of time ahead of us.

“I’m going to take some time for myself, chill, spend time with my family, my friends and then come back ready.”

John Fury is demanding a six-figure sum from KSI for a bet that was placed in the build-up to Saturday night’s fight in Manchester.

After a close contest at the AO Arena, Tommy Fury was named a majority-decision winner in his bout against KSI before it was revealed that the scores had been added up incorrectly.

The 24-year-old was later awarded a unanimous-decision victory – a result that many have disagreed with, including KSI, who vowed to appeal the final result in an emotional post-fight interview.

Ahead of October 14, an extremely confident Fury was convinced he’d KO his opponent inside four rounds, and so was his father, John, who bet £200,000 on Tommy coming out on top.

And now, a month later, John Fury has called on KSI to pay up after the YouTube personality and musician suffered the first defeat of his boxing career.

“This is a quick video for KSI,” said Fury. “You owe me £200,000 pounds. We had a bet. I want paying. Now, don’t be like the other fella, Jake Paul. Be a man and pay your bets.

“We had a bet, live on a podcast. We’ve got all the evidence. We’ll put it all together. You owe me, John Fury, £200,000. I want paying. Thank you very much.”

Tommy Fury has since dismissed KSI’s suggestion that the result was a robbery.

“At the end of the day, he can say what he wants, but hugging and doing star jumps in the ring does not win a fight,” Fury said on Good Morning Britain.

“He can go on about how he was robbed, but it was his show [a Misfits event], his officials, his judges. So, are you saying that your own people, that you employed, robbed you?

It’s very hard to fight someone who doesn’t want to fight. I don’t know [about the chance of a rematch], we’re gonna see. But that was a horrible fight to be a part of. He didn’t wanna fight, he didn’t want to stand there and give the fans a good fight.

“He just wanted to make it awkward, look horrible and run around the ring for six rounds. It’s very irritating for someone like me, who wanted to get in there and have a proper fight.”

Despite the heat, Travis gushed, ‘It was so lovely to go in there and hang out in that thing and see all the amazing plants.’

‘So yeah, got to do that. Got to see two amazing shows of the Eras Tour – the last of the leg Taylor has until she’s back at it here in a couple of months.’

‘Got to have some lovely Singapore food and just catch the views. The architecture is crazy, they have that one hotel – the Marina Bay Sands – where it looks like a boat is on top of three pillars. That thing is as advertised as well, cool as s**t,’ he added.

In regards to whether he preferred Sydney or Singapore more, Travis admitted that it was ‘a tough sell.’

‘I loved them both, man. I really loved them both. I want to see more of Australia, I feel I got to see a little bit more of Singapore so I’m going to say Singapore was a little more interesting for sure. I was only in Australia for a couple hours.’

In fact, the 43-year-old’s aircraft has been used to make 15 trips since the start of 2024 that were under 40 minutes, with the jet spending less than 15 minutes in the air on eight of those journeys.

Her jet was then noted to have landed back in Paris on January 27, though it does not appear that she was on board.

Kim’s jet took one of its shortest trips on February 24 when it flew for a grand total of five minutes between Isles-lès-Villenoy and Paris in France.

The trip released nearly one ton of C02 emissions, and used 90 gallons of jet fuel which would have cost around $506.

Weeks prior on January 31 it flew from Van Nuys to Camarillo, both in California, on a journey that lasted just 10 minutes.

On February 10 Kim took a 35 minute flight from Van Nuys to Las Vegas, Nevada ahead of the Super Bowl final the following day, which she attended with her new man Odell Beckham Jr.

The journey which would have released around four tons of CO2 emissions could have been completed in under five hours by car.

The multi-million dollar jet flew a whopping five times on February 12, the day after the final, and appeared to be transporting her celebrity friends, including Justin and Hailey Bieber, from the sporting event.

The first trip was from Las Vegas to Van Nuys and back again. It then flew from Las Vegas to Camarillo, California.

From there it flew to Phoenix, Arizona – a one hour flight – before returning to Camarillo.

The journeys would have released just under 20 tons of CO2 emissions.

Kim’s eyebrow-raising jet usage comes shortly after it was revealed that she was named the second biggest celebrity C02 polluter of 2023, in data collected from the myclimate Carbon Tracker.

The reality star came second to American rapper, Travis Scott – who shares daughter Stormi, six, and two-year-old son, Aire with Kim’s half-sister, Kylie Jenner.

Her usage has also raised questions about the authenticity of her claims to be making a commitment to environmental causes with her business ventures.

According to her brand Skims, the company ‘only work with suppliers and vendors who we believe in and share our commitment to sustainability, accountability and transparency.’

It is also claimed that 10 per cent of the brand’s Ultimate Nipple Bra proceeds would go towards One per cent for the Planet, an organization dedicated to global environmental causes.

The company claims to be eco-friendly as it uses FSC recycled paper boxes and compostable bags instead of plastic and non-recyclables.

But the environmental damage caused by her jet usage has caused some fans to question her claims, with one writing simply on Instagram: ‘Eco terrorism.’

Another referenced the time she used reusable Skims cotton fabric to wrap up her Christmas present and posted: ‘But she uses reusable Christmas wrapping so it evens out [rolling eyes emoji].’

But instead she drove 30 minutes in the wrong direction to Van Nuys airport, before jumping on the plane – with the journey taking longer despite the 12-minute flight.
