Francis Ngannou’s new WBC ranking has been revealed following his knockout defeat to Anthony Joshua .
The former UFC star rocketed up to No 10 after he pushed Tyson Fury all the way in a closely-fought contest back in October.
Ngannou was perhaps unlucky not to have his hand raised as the winner in his first fight inside a boxing ring, however it was a different story when he squared up against Joshua earlier this month.
The Brit showed his classed as he knocked Ngannou down in the first round, and twice more in the second to secure a dominant victory.
As a result, Ngannou has plummeted down to 24th in the heavyweight rankings.

Ngannou suffered a brutal knockout defeat to Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia earlier this year
Joshua meanwhile is No 1, ahead of Frank Sanchez, Agit Kabayel, Efe Ajagba and Jared Anderson.
Ngannou after his defeat admitted that he had no memory of the knockout.
Ringside officials moved quickly to administer oxygen to Ngannou, who has since opened up about his knockout while speaking to fans in an Instagram live stream.
‘I was conscious right after [the knockout], and since then everything’s been good,’ he said. ‘I’m still going to run some medical work, just in case.’
The Cameroon-born MMA fighter, who is currently signed to the Professional Fighters League, is keen on making a return to boxing when the time is right.
‘Right now, I don’t know exactly what fight I’ll be looking for next,’ he said.
‘I know that I’m going to take some time to rest up, focus on myself, and then when I’m ready, I will get back to training.
‘It’s not over yet – not at all, We’re just getting started. The only thing that we will miss this year is time, and I think we have some good amount of time ahead of us.’
Ngannou has vowed to return to the boxing ring despite the convincing defeat
Despite his convincing victory in Saudi Arabia, Joshua urged Ngannou to stick with boxing immediately after the fight.
Joshua said: ‘You’re an inspiration. You’d beat a lot of people. Don’t leave boxing – don’t leave.
‘Dewey [Cooper, Ngannou’s head coach] – don’t leave boxing, you know. This guy is the truth.’
Boxing legend Teddy Atlas has questioned whether Mike Tyson and Jake Paul have already ‘agreed’ on how their fight will end.
Paul, 27, is set to take on former world champion Tyson, 57, on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
The details of the fight, such as the rounds and weight, are yet to be determined – but the two have so far been vocal in their public exchanges ahead of the bout.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming showdown against Tyson – also known as ‘Iron Mike’ – Paul said: “I idolized Mike Tyson until the first time I met him 4 years ago…he called me Logan. Going to make sure he knows who I am real close and personal.”
Tyson has also had his say after taking to his personal social media to post a video of himself training, where he said: “You still wanna f*** with me?”
While anticipation is building amongst the two fighters and fans across the world, boxing trainer and commentator Atlas is hesitant to join the hype.
“Unless this is a WWE agreement, which I don’t know that it is – I never said this before because I think all these fights are legitimate, and they are and have been – but this one makes me wonder,” he said said on his YouTube channel (as quoted by Daily Mirror).
“I’m not questioning the integrity of Paul. In fact, I like his integrity. I like what I’ve seen in the guy.
Mike Tyson and Jake Paul
“I’m just saying, if there was a time I would question it, this would be the time.
“I can’t see, unless Paul is that confident, that Tyson is too old now and he’s that good, because Paul has been getting more confident, and he does have a good right hand and does punch well with it and Tyson leads with left hooks.
“Maybe Paul thinks he can hit him with a right hand, I don’t know.
“All I know is that this is the first time I’ve said, ‘I wonder if there’s an agreement, because if there’s no agreement, Paul might be making a mistake. … I’m surprised Paul is taking this risk.
“Power doesn’t disappear even when you’re old. He’s still got speed in the combinations. He’s still got that style.”
There is no evidence or suggestion out there to support Atlas’ claims, however, and Paul and his management have already rubbished several conspiracy theory claims surrounding the fight – with this looking to be just one of many that we’ve seen as the fight edges closer.
Tyson was last in action back in November 2020, where he had an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. Paul was also in action on the same card, as he knocked out former NBA player Nate Robinson.
UFC commentator Daniel Cormier has chimed in on Sean Strickland’s recent comments.
‘Tarzan’ has been out of action since his split-decision loss to Dricus du Plessis in January. That defeat ended Sean Strickland’s time as champion, after just a few short months. Since then, the former titleholder has called for a rematch but has yet to schedule a return to the cage.
That’s probably for the best. Earlier this week, Sean Strickland took to social media, with a video discussing his mental health. In the video, the former champion noted that despite his fame and fortune, he’s still dealing with mental issues that he can’t get beyond. That’s something that struck a nerve with Daniel Cormier.
Earlier today, the UFC Hall of Famer discussed Sean Strickland’s video on his YouTube channel. There, Daniel Cormier compared the former champion’s comments, to Alexander Volkanovski’s post-fight comments following UFC 294. ‘The Great’ famously stated that he was dealing with depression following a first-round knockout loss to Islam Makhachev.
In Daniel Cormier’s view, fans and fighters need to treat Sean Strickland’s plea for help with the same energy. Whether they like ‘Tarzan’ or not, the former champion needs help. Cormier feels that the MMA community should rally around Strickland as a result.

UFC commentator Daniel Cormier reacts to Sean Strickland’s mental health comments
“Sean Strickland is a guy that has a very, very dark past.” Daniel Cormier stated on his YouTube channel earlier today, discussing the former champion’s video. “We all know that. But that dark past has served to make him a world champion fighter and a guy that is willing to go through so much adversity. He said that he’s rich, but that he can’t get past the hurdles mentally. I want to make sure that we as the consumer, treat this in the same manner, in which we treated Alexander Volkanovski when he spoke about his issues mentally.”
He continued, “Whether you love him or you hate him, we have to look at the human being. When Volk said that he was in his own head, we all rushed to speak to him and his strength. We need to make sure we do the same thing for Sean Strickland. Sean Strickland’s , that’s a plea for help. So we as the mixed martial arts community, should rush to his side again. Just like we did for Alexander Volkanovski.”
Thanks to new ownership by Liberty Media and the famed docu-series Drive to Survive, Formula 1 has become more and more popular than ever. With a constant spotlight over the drivers’ heads, the drivers are constantly surrounded by fans and media. However, the reigning champion is not a fan of such media attention and believes that the media fails to draw boundaries on some private matters.

In a recent interview with The Project, Verstappen discussed Drive to Survive: “Some things are just private, right? People don’t need to know what we are doing or what we are saying. Some things are private.”
The 26-year-old has never been a fan of the mega docu-series by Netflix. Even though it increased his popularity to a great extent and showcased his back-to-back winning runs in the last few years.

Despite the show’s massive popularity in the sport on a global level, it has been criticized for overdramatizing the narrative and portraying fake rivalries.
Max Verstappen once walked out of Drive to Survive
Max Verstappen has a love-hate relationship with Drive to Survive. The Dutchman once walked out of the show and called out Netflix for creating fake drama. He said that they use words and scenarios and compile them in a way that fits their story and creates fake storylines.
Verstappen said that he prefers to have a one-on-one interview rather than sit for DTS shooting. The three-time world champion also spoke about not liking the black room where Netflix conducts the interview and talks about F1 or the ongoing season.
Tyson Fury held nothing back as he gave a shock prediction for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul.
Tyson is set to face Paul at AT&T Stadium on July 20 in a bout that will be aired on Netflix.
It will be the boxing legend’s first appearance since his exhibition against Roy Jones Jr back in November 2020.
As for Paul, he makes a swift return to the ring, having recorded a big win over Ryan Bourland earlier this month.
The match-up pitting Tyson against Paul has been widely condemned by fans and critics alike in the combat sports world.
UFC boss Dana White pulled no punches as he shared his honest thoughts on ‘Iron’ Mike coming back.
Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland destroyed Paul for facing Tyson in an astonishing rant.
Joe Rogan, however, has backed Tyson to beat Paul.
And Fury has echoed the same sentiment, giving a shock prediction.
The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ has supported Tyson returning to the sport and calls his against Paul an ‘even match’.
Speaking to The Stomping Ground, he said: “I think it’s fantastic for boxing.
“You’ve got a legend in Mike Tyson. You’ve got a YouTube boxer [Jake Paul]. He has come into the game and blew it up and he’s got millions of followers and millions of views and millions of eyes. Good, bad or indifferent. Some people love him, some people hate him.
“So, I think it’s a really good spectacle for boxing. Brings a lot of people to the game.”

Fury added: “Listen, who am I to say, ‘Oh, Mike Tyson shouldn’t be boxing or Jake Paul shouldn’t be boxing’, good luck to ’em. They’re both gonna make what I call a sh*t ton of money out of it. So, isn’t that what it’s about?
“[They’re fighting at] a great stadium,” Fury referenced AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
“It’d be fantastic for the guys both getting paid, both gonna put on a show. I just don’t know what’s not to like. Oh, okay, [Tyson’s] 57 years old, but he’s a former undisputed world heavyweight king, and [Paul] plays computers for a living and he’s come to boxing about a year ago. So, pretty even match.
“From being a kid on the Disney Channel to fighting Mike Tyson. Who wouldn’t want to do that?… People say, ‘Oh, it’s sh*t’, this, that and the other.
“But, I bet they still watch it. Who’s not intrigued?”

Mike Tyson has a love/hate struggle with Floyd Mayweather at 50-0
Mike Tyson may be the baddest man on the planet, but Floyd Mayweather claims he’s the best ever, something ‘Iron’ Mike struggles to comprehend at times.
On the one hand, Tyson is berating comparisons between Mayweather and Julio Cesar Chavez. On the other, the veteran states Mayweather is the best thing since sliced bread.
Which one is it, Mike?
Both times Tyson spoke about Mayweather’s tenure in the sport was on his “Hotboxin Podcast.” – Therefore, that could explain his need for controversy when it comes to the topic.
Floyd Mayweather
Discussing Mayweather and Chavez, Tyson said: “There are some people right, I don’t care how good they are, they are never going to be great.
“Even though they make money, they win titles. They aren’t going to be [Julio Cesar] Chavez. I don’t care how much money he has got.
“I don’t want to hear Floyd [Mayweather] talking about 50-0 and all that. Don’t tell me about, ‘You’re the greatest fighter,’ with 50-0.
“You’re great, no doubt about it, but 50-0? Chavez had ninety [actually 89-0 until he lost to Frankie Randall]. He was fighting like, what? Eight times a year?
“Against whoever was in the rankings. He wasn’t picking. It was, ‘Whoever you want, come on.’”
On Mayweather, he added: “Floyd’s a great fighter, don’t get me wrong, but he had fifty fights.”
Adding Sugar Ray Leonard into the mix, Tyson stated: “Listen, Sugar Ray Robinson had forty fights. He lost one. Then he had a 78-fight winning streak.
“Forty, lost one, then a 78-fight winning streak. [Chavez] was 89-0 before he lost.”
Mike Tyson
Despite that lengthy conversation, the smoke in the studio must have been thick that day as Tyson seemed to forget what he said.
After Mayweather fought against a YouTuber on Showtime, fighting out a draw, Tyson claimed Floyd was what he claimed to be – TBE.
“He [said YouTuber] went ten rounds with the greatest fighter in the last hundred years of boxing. He went ten rounds, scoring punches.
“Did he accomplish something? Look what he had to fight against. Look at what he did when he fought against him,” pointed out the youngest heavyweight ruler.
Either Floyd is the best ‘of the last hundred years,’ or he’s not. But if he is, that 50-0 record must stand for something.
Mayweather gets wrongly accused of cherry-picking his opponents. He defeated over twenty world champions on his list of fifty wins.
UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier isn’t happy with Mike Tyson’s boxing return against Jake Paul.
Earlier this month, ‘Iron Mike’ and ‘The Problem Child’ announced plans to compete in a boxing match this summer. The two stars will compete in a Netflix-produced event, in what will likely be Mike Tyson’s first real boxing match since 2005. However, depending on what the Texas State Athletic Commission says, the bout with Jake Paul may go down as an exhibition.
Still, fan opinion on the fight announcement has largely been mixed. Many online immediately blasted Jake Paul for accepting the bout offer, given Mike Tyson’s age. The boxing legend is currently 57 years old and has been seen walking with a cane in the last few years on occasion. It’s that age gap that frustrates Daniel Cormier.
On his ‘Good Guy, Bad Guy Podcast‘ alongside Chael Sonnen, Daniel Cormier reacted to Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson. There, the UFC Hall of Famer largely slammed ‘The Problem Child’ for making the fight. As ‘DC’ notes during the discussion, he’s not a young man by any means. Yet, Tyson is nearly two decades older than him.
With that in mind, Daniel Cormier didn’t hold back on the boxing match. In the eyes of the retired fighter, Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson “absolutely sucks”.

Former UFC champion Daniel Cormier reacts to Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match
“You know Chael, it absolutely sucks.” Daniel Cormier stated on his ‘Good Guy, Bad Guy Podcast’ alongside Chael Sonnen, reacting to the announcement of Jake Paul’s boxing match with Mike Tyson. “It absolutely sucks because while I love ‘Iron Mike’, while I want Mike to make as much money as he possibly can, [these] videos right here are three to four years old [of Tyson training]. Mike is a different person now. I saw Mike walk into the UFC last year with a walking stick, I mean, I don’t know how they pull this off.”
He continued, “Now, will they let Mike just hit him? If they let Mike just go all out on this dude, and Mike just tries to get him out of there in a few minutes, maybe it works? But I don’t know that they risk it with Mike trying to go at Jake Paul in that way. I think it absolutely sucks.”
“I think Mike Tyson’s fighting days are over. He will be 58 years old by the time he steps into the ring with Jake Paul.” Daniel Cormier concluded. “To me, it absolutely sucks.”
Do you agree with UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier? Will you watch Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson? Who do you have winning in that heavyweight boxing match?
A video game has simulated the upcoming boxing fight, and it ends early with a huge knockout.
HIGHLIGHTS
Jake Paul will face Mike Tyson in July, and a simulation has predicted that Tyson will win via huge knockout in the second round.
The two will share the ring on the 20th of July in Texas, but Fight Night Champion has given us a simulation ahead of time.
Despite the video game result, there are serious concerns over the health and wellbeing of Mike Tyson, should the fight go ahead.
Jake Paul will be facing the legendary Mike Tyson in the latest instalment of influencer boxing this July in Arlington, Texas, although given that it involves one of the greatest heavyweights ever, it does have a bit more credibility than other fights we’ve been treated to.
The announcement of this fight is one that has shocked the world, with many confused about why a YouTuber is stepping into the ring with a 57-year-old retired veteran, who will be 58 by the time the fight comes around.
As we look ahead to the fight, which will take place on the 20th of July, a simulation of the fight on Fight Night Champion has predicted the result of the clash between the two, and the results are interesting.
Video: Simulation of Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul
The video game has predicted that Tyson will be able to knock Jake Paul down less than two minutes into the first round with a powerful left hook to the head. However, it believes in the heart of the YouTuber as he gets back up and survives into the second round, but all the judges’ scorecards give it 10-8 to Tyson.
The second round is predicted to follow a similar suit, this time with a right hook knocking out the Ohio-YouTuber in under 40 seconds. This time, however, he does not get back up and a dominant, strong performance is predicted by the computer game for Mike Tyson.
GIVEMESPORT’s Key Statistic : Mike Tyson has knocked out 44 of his opponents
Whether the game has based this on Tyson’s legacy and not taken into account his age is unknown, but regardless, boxing fans will be hoping for this result come July.
The Careers of Mike Tyson & Jake Paul
Mike Tyson’s last fight was in November 2020, an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr, who was only two years younger than Tyson at the time. The contest ended in a split decision draw.
Jake Paul, meanwhile, whose rise to fame was from a Disney Channel show, has been experimenting with boxing for the last six years, with his first fight being in 2018 against Deji, brother of KSI. Since then, he has turned professional and has had 10 fights, winning nine and losing one. Within this array of fights he has faced; A YouTuber, a basketball player, four (some retired) UFC fighters, and three boxers. His only loss was in February 2023 against Tommy Fury, which was the first time he fought an out-and-out boxer.

Henry Cejudo has revealed just how much Mike Tyson is set to make from fighting Jake Paul.
Iron Mike’s record and legacy in the sport speaks for itself, 50-6 with an astonishing 44 KOs in his 50 wins. Undoubtedly, in his prime, he was one of the deadliest men alive and is still regarded as one of the baddest and scariest heavyweights to ever enter the ring. However, his last professional bout was a defeat in June 2005 against Kevin McBride, when Jake Paul would have been just eight years old.
Jake Paul may have started off as a Disney Channel star/YouTuber, but for roughly the last six years he has been training with top-rated boxing coaches and has really invested in the craft.
Rumours circulated that the fighters would be wearing headguards, however, Paul has now shot these down, but the actual rules are still yet to be announced. Questions over the health of Mike Tyson have also emerged after videos on social media in recent times have shown him using a support cane and a wheelchair. So why would a soon-to-be 58-year-old want to fight a 27-year-old in his prime? Maybe it’s to do with the amount of money he’s getting paid for it…
Boxing legend Teddy Atlas has his doubts over the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson Fight, and believes the ending could be scripted.
HIGHLIGHTS
Boxing legend Teddy Atlas believes Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson may have already ‘agreed the ending’ to their fight.
The YouTuber and the heavyweight legend will meet in the ring in July in a fight which has sparked a lot of debate over the safety of the bout.
Paul will be 30 years younger than Tyson come fight night.
Legendary boxing trainer Teddy Atlas has voiced his concerns over Jake Paul’s upcoming clash with Mike Tyson. The YouTube star is set to meet the iconic boxer in the ring this summer as he continues his meteoric rise in the world of combat sports.
Atlas, however, has raised one question regarding the upcoming meeting, pondering if the two have agreed upon how the fight will end in what he deemed to be a ‘WWE-style’ ending. Tyson Fury, meanwhile, has himself already spoken out this week about the fight, actually praising Paul’s rise in the boxing world and just how big this fight should be.
Despite the glowing support from the Gypsy King, questions have been raised regarding Paul’s fights, ranging from some wondering if he really could beat the opponents he has beaten so far to punches allegedly not landing.
We are yet to see details of how the fight will be contested or how many rounds it will consist of. However, the one detail we do know is that the two will not be wearing headgear.
Defending Paul in the Past
Despite his comments this time, Atlas has leaped to the defence of the YouTuber in the past, shutting down conspiracy theories surrounding his fights in the ring so far. Atlas cited those theories as baseless when shutting them down. They ran rife following Paul’s knockout victory over UFC legend Anderson Silva in October 2022, as viewers claimed that his punch that dropped the Brazilian did not actually connect.
“Unless this is a WWE agreement, which I don’t know that it is – I never said this before because I think all these fights are legitimate, and they are and have been – but this one makes me wonder. I’m not questioning the integrity of Paul. In fact, I like his integrity. I like what I’ve seen in the guy.”
Elsewhere, the 27-year-old has received criticism for his opponent selection, choosing fighters such as Ryan Bourland, his most recent opponent, who had not competed for some time before their meeting in Puerto Rico earlier this month.
A Matter of Integrity
As he questioned whether an agreed outcome is the case for the fight, Atlas admitted that this is the first time he’s ever felt something could be going on in regard to a Jake Paul fight.
The trainer highlighted his concerns surrounding the fight, describing it as a risk for Paul to take on a name like Tyson, despite his age, with a 30-year gap between the two. One point that Atlas was quick to raise was that he might be making a mistake when it comes to taking on the 57-year-old, as he highlighted Tyson’s speed that he still shows in his combinations at his age and pointed out that power does not disappear with age.
“I’m just saying, if there was a time I would question it, this would be the time. I can’t see, unless Paul is that confident, that Tyson is too old now, and he’s that good, because Paul has been getting more confident, and he does have a good right hand and does punch well with it and Tyson leads with left hooks. Maybe Paul thinks he can hit him with a right hand. I don’t know.
“All I know is that this is the first time I’ve said, ‘I wonder if there’s an agreement,’ because if there’s no agreement, Paul might be making a mistake. I’m surprised Paul is taking this risk. Power doesn’t disappear even when you’re old. He’s still got speed in the combinations. He’s still got that style.”
In a boxing ring, it will be worth noting that Tyson could still be dangerous, and you will imagine Paul’s trainers will have made that clear. There will be no room for complacency for the 27-year-old. A fighter of this calibre will not have lost the competitive edge he once had despite his age.

Mike Tyson Accused of Faking Training Videos for Jake Paul Fight
Footage of Mike Tyson looking ferocious in training has done the rounds recently, but UFC legend Chael Sonnen has his doubts.
Sharing the Ring Again
This may be the first time these two men meet in the ring, but it will not be the first time they have shared the ring. Iron Mike’s last fight came in 2020 on the same card that Paul made his second professional boxing appearance against Nate Robinson, a fight he won by knockout. Tyson took on another boxing legend that night as he met Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout. Following that fight, questions were asked about future bouts somewhere down the line and Iron Mike did not shut down the possibility of a return, and perhaps that exhibition, alongside Paul’s impressive rise, has led us to where we are today.
In this video, we’re going to take a look at one of the greatest fighters of all time, Evander Holyfield. Evander Holyfield is known for his unbelievable skills in the ring, and his training methods are even more impressive.
Mike Tyson sends $40,000 up in smoke every month
Mike Tyson sends an astonishing amount of cash up in smoke each month as the former heavyweight champion enjoys his downtime.
From the moment California’s relaxed rules on recreational marijuana went into effect in 2018, big-name celebrities were queueing up to get a piece of the action. But few went into it in such a big way as Tyson.
Never a man to do things by halves, he bought a 40-acre farm where he could cultivate cannabis on a grand scale.
However, according to claims made on his podcast, he could be taking the concept of mixing business with pleasure to a whole new level.
Mike Tyson
Mike Tyson has never been shy about the fact that he enjoys a joint from time to time. And while that could have got him into hot water back when he was fighting in the 90s, the world has moved on to a more relaxed approach.
Recreational marijuana is now available in many states, with more certain to follow suit.
Tyson’s podcast claims he manages to smoke $40,000 of his product every month. However, this suggests that either he is out to shock or he could be the first man to join the NASA space program without the aid of a rocket.
To put it into context, even at regular retail prices, $40,000 would buy around five kilos of weed. That’s the equivalent of 165 grams (six ounces) every day.
Tyson’s podcast guest was rapper Jim Jones who seemed more than a little skeptical. He said Tyson must be smoking weed “non-stop, every second.”
Tyson Ranch
With Iron Mike Tyson, it would be foolhardy to rule anything out entirely. But the more probable scenario is that he is stretching the truth to promote his weed-based business in South California.
Tyson Ranch is not just a place. It is also a brand whose owner intends to take place.
Tyson already cultivates nine different strains of cannabis for sale on the retail market. He is also finding success in trading off his famous name with a line of merchandise, including baseball caps, t-shirts, and smoking peripherals such as lighters and rolling trays.
Farm
However, the 40-acre ranch is only the beginning. Tyson has significant expansion plans to create a “cannabis-themed theme park” on the surrounding land.
It will sprawl across an area of more than 400 acres.
This will feature glamping facilities, the world’s longest “lazy river” water ride, and a luxury hotel complex.
A theater will host various events, including “a music festival to rival Coachella.”
Most intriguing of all, however, is the former champion’s intention to create Tyson University on the site.
Here, would-be cannabis farmers will be able to learn all there is to know about cultivation techniques.
Tyson says cannabis changed his life and made him a better person. He told Cannabis Today magazine that his driving inspiration is “how much good I could do by helping people with cannabis.”
