  • “This Christmas, her heart holds a brand-new title…” Lorraine Kelly is stepping into the festive season with a nickname that says everything: “the most doting grandma of the year.” Away from the studio lights and applause, her focus is on the little things — the carefully chosen gifts, the quiet excitement, and the joy of watching her granddaughter’s eyes light up. Behind the smiles, this Christmas carries a deeper meaning for Lorraine. A slower pace. A fuller heart. And a kind of happiness that feels more precious than ever.

“This Christmas, her heart holds a brand-new title…” Lorraine Kelly is stepping into the festive season with a nickname that says everything: “the most doting grandma of the year.” Away from the studio lights and applause, her focus is on the little things — the carefully chosen gifts, the quiet excitement, and the joy of watching her granddaughter’s eyes light up. Behind the smiles, this Christmas carries a deeper meaning for Lorraine. A slower pace. A fuller heart. And a kind of happiness that feels more precious than ever.

Scottish daytime TV icon Lorraine Kelly has embraced life as a doting grandmother — and this Christmas, she has no intention of holding back.

    Lorraine and Rosie

The much-loved ITV presenter, 66, became a grandmother last year when her daughter Rosie Smith, 31, welcomed baby Billie with fiancé Steve White. Now, as the festive season approaches, Lorraine and Rosie have shared an intimate glimpse into their family’s Christmas plans — from double celebrations and sparkly trees to the joy (and exhaustion) of life with a toddler.

Warm, candid and as down-to-earth as ever, Lorraine also reflects on major changes ahead — including her daughter’s upcoming wedding, her own future on ITV, and the delicate balance of family life in the public eye.

    ‘Christmas Comes Around So Fast’

Lorraine and RosieLorraine could well be the most famous grandmother in the country now, and is unashamedly spoiling baby Billie at Christmas

Speaking together, mother and daughter admit that Christmas has crept up on them once again.

“Oh, it’s the same every year,” Lorraine laughs. “You blink and suddenly it’s December.”

Rosie, however, reveals she’s been more organised than usual. “I was sorted early this year — probably a bit mad,” she says. “But mum and dad’s birthdays are in November, so I kind of do everything at once.”

Lorraine adds that a recent house move — chosen so she could live closer to Rosie and Billie — has left her slightly behind. “We’ve been up to our eyeballs with boxes,” she jokes.

Two Christmas Days — and a Baby Who Loves the Sparkle

The family plans to split the festivities across multiple homes, ensuring Billie enjoys the best of both worlds.

Rosie explains: “We’ll have Christmas morning at my house, then we’ll walk to mum’s — it’s literally six minutes away. And then on Boxing Day, we’ll do Christmas all over again at my partner’s parents’ house.”

At 16 months old, Billie is already starting to sense the magic. “Last year she was only four months old,” Rosie says. “This year, she’s a bit more ‘Ooh!’ She loves the lights and the tree.”

‘I’ve Bought All of Billie’s Presents’

As for Lorraine — arguably the country’s most famous granny — there’s no denying how seriously she takes the role.

“Oh, totally,” she admits. “When I say I haven’t bought any presents, what I mean is I haven’t bought any presents for anyone else. I’ve bought all of Billie’s.”

She laughs as she confesses her biggest weakness: “I buy her something and then I don’t want to wait — I want to give it to her straight away!”

Her husband, Steve Smith, is equally besotted. “It gives him a new lease of life,” Lorraine says. “As grandparents, you see the world through their little eyes. It’s just magical.”

Motherhood, Exhaustion — and No Rush for Baby Number Two

Rosie, meanwhile, is candid about how life has changed since becoming a mum.

“I knew it would be full-on, but I didn’t realise it would be constant,” she admits. “The sleep deprivation is real. You’re basically a zombie.”

Despite friends already expanding their families, Rosie says there’s no rush. “We’re getting married next year — I want to focus on that first.”

Lorraine, clearly emotional, adds that Billie may even have a starring role. “She’ll be nearly two — she could be a wee flower girl.”

    Protecting Billie from the Spotlight

Given Lorraine’s long TV career, the family is acutely aware of public exposure.

“I was very careful with Rosie,” Lorraine explains. Rosie agrees, saying she’s selective about what she shares. “At this age, babies all look like babies. But later on, no — I won’t put her out there.”

Lorraine reveals viewers’ kindness has been overwhelming. “People knitted blankets, cardigans — it was incredibly touching.”

Changes at ITV — and a Career Built Over Decades

Lorraine also reflects on upcoming changes at ITV, including a reduction in episodes of her long-running show.

“It wasn’t my decision,” she says calmly. “But I feel lucky to still be doing what I love.”

Having spent over four decades on television, she remains philosophical. “I’ve seen many changes. What matters is that I still enjoy it — and I really do.”

‘We Have to Make the World More Child-Friendly’

Looking back, Lorraine notes how attitudes toward women and motherhood on TV have evolved.

“When I started, seeing a pregnant woman on screen caused outrage,” she says. “Now we celebrate it — and that’s how it should be.”

She adds: “We still have a long way to go, but progress matters.”

As Christmas approaches, one thing is certain: for Lorraine Kelly, family comes first — and baby Billie is firmly at the heart of it all.

After her eviction, Kelly revealed she had not spent more than a day apart from her husband in the 10 years they’ve been together.

After her exit she cheekily told the Daily Mail that she was going to drop earplugs into Vogue Williams’ and Jeremy’s sister’s hotel rooms as they are staying either side of her and the Italian model, 40.

‘How thin are the walls of the Marriott?’ she laughed as she arrived back at the five star hotel on the Gold Coast.

She said: ‘So we’re being sandwiched between Vogue and my husband’s sister. So yeah, we’ll just have to be extra quiet. Extra quiet.

‘Do you know what, I’ll drop some ear plugs into both of their rooms tonight, it’s the least I can do.

‘We’ve never spent more than a day apart in 10 years, this was the longest time and it was really difficult. I don’t want to spend that much time away from him again.’

Kelly was met off the bridge by her husband of three years, the Italian model Jeremy Parisi, who jetted into Australia last week.

The former glamour model broke down in tears as the pair reunited.

Reflecting on her time on the show, Kelly said: ‘What a fabulous group of people. It’s been brilliant but I am so ready to come out.’

She added: ‘It’s a dream and so beautiful in there.. It would have been nice to get to the final but there are people in there that want it more than me.’

Kelly looked delighted to be out of the jungle as she made a euphoric arrival back into civilisation after her eviction.

After her reunion with Jeremy, she made her way back to the hotel and waved to the cameras as she got out of the car.

RYLAN CLARK BREAKS HIS SILENCE: ‘I’M NOT TAKING IT BACK — NOT NOW, NOT EVER.’ Fans Rally Behind Him as Explosive Claims Spark Industry-Wide Shock After ITV Exit

“Rylan Clark’s Heartfelt DEFYING Message After ITV Cuts Him Loose – ‘I Won’t Back Down’”

In an emotional sign-off, Rylan, 36, told viewers on Friday: “At last, I can finally breathe easy and speak out about those disgusting truths. I have no regrets for speaking up, even if it cost me my career. Thank you, everyone…”

The storm began earlier in the week when Rylan clashed with viewers over his take on Reform UK leader Nigel Farage’s mass deportation plans. Speaking live on air, he questioned:

“How come if I turn up at Heathrow Airport as a British citizen and I’ve left my passport in Spain, I won’t be let in? But if I arrive on a boat from Calais, I get taken to a four-star hotel?”

Rylan insisted that he was not against immigration, adding: “This country is built on immigration—legal immigration. They pay tax, they help our country thrive. But illegal routes? That’s something we can’t ignore.”

He also highlighted what he saw as a growing injustice: “You’ve got people who have lived here all their lives struggling, while others are handed hotels, phones, even iPads. Something major has to change.”

The remarks instantly divided audiences, with critics accusing him of spreading misinformation about asylum seekers in the UK. Social media erupted, and within hours, calls were mounting for ITV to act.

On X, Rylan fought back, declaring: “You can be pro-immigration and against illegal routes. You can support trans rights and respect women. You can be straight and support gay rights. The list goes on.”

But by Friday, the damage was done. ITV confirmed behind the scenes that his role would not continue, with insiders revealing that the network and Rylan had “mutually agreed” to terminate his contract.

Fans reacted with heartbreak. One wrote: “Please keep Rylan and Josie on! They’re the best duo in years.” Another added: “I won’t be watching come next week—he was the only reason I tuned in again.”

The news came just as former host Ruth Langsford teased her own return to the iconic sofa. Speaking to The Mirror, she hinted she’d happily reunite with her “TV son” Rylan:

    John Kennedy merchandise

“I love Rylan. He’s like my son. We’ve worked together before, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. If ITV asked, I’d be there.”

    Gift baskets

However, with Rylan’s future at ITV officially closed, fans are now left wondering: could the duo reunite on an entirely new project away from This Morning? Ruth teased that something might already be in the works.

For now, one thing is clear: Rylan Clark is stepping away from daytime TV on his own terms—louder, prouder, and with no regrets.

  • 🐾 A Paralyzed Baby Lay Still — Until a German Shepherd Did Something Unbelievable 😢 DD

🐾 A Paralyzed Baby Lay Still — Until a German Shepherd Did Something Unbelievable 😢 DD

In a quiet cedar-sided home tucked deep within the snowy Colorado Rockies, a heavy silence had taken root. Inside a small nursery, seven-month-old Wyatt lay perfectly still. Once a vibrant baby, a sudden, mysterious fever had left him paralyzed from the waist down. The doctors called it “idiopathic infant paralysis”—a medical way of saying they had no answers and even less hope.

His mother, Emily, was drowning in a sea of grief. Having already lost her husband, Daniel, to a tragic logging accident, she was now watching her son fade into a world of motionlessness. She moved through the house like a ghost, her green eyes grayed by exhaustion, clutching cold mugs of coffee and waiting for a miracle that felt like it would never come.

But Wyatt wasn’t alone. Beneath his crib sat Kodiak, a nine-month-old German Shepherd Emily had adopted from a local shelter. Kodiak wasn’t like other puppies; he didn’t bark at the wind or chew on shoes. He was a silent sentinel, a “soldier at his post.” For weeks, he refused to leave Wyatt’s side, resting his snout on his paws and staring through the slats of the crib with amber eyes that seemed to see something the rest of the world had missed.

One frigid afternoon, something shifted. While Emily was folding laundry, she noticed Kodiak’s ears twitch. The dog let out a low, desperate whimper—a sound he had never made before. Emily rushed to the crib and saw it: the tiniest flicker of Wyatt’s pinky finger. She tried to tell herself she was imagining things, but Kodiak knew. He began pacing in urgent circles, his barks summoning Emily whenever Wyatt’s body showed even the smallest sign of electrical life.

Dr. Ava Mitchell, a persistent local physician, visited during a blackout storm and heard the news. She was skeptical but intrigued, noting that animals can often sense neurological shifts or electrical fluctuations long before medical equipment can. When she saw Wyatt’s toes curl in response to Kodiak’s presence, she knew they couldn’t wait. Despite the sub-zero temperatures and buried roads, they made a perilous journey to Denver General Hospital.

In the stark, high-tech pediatric wing, the specialists were doubtful. Wyatt remained non-responsive to their standard tests. However, at the urging of Dr. Ava and a fringe therapy specialist, they allowed Kodiak into the room for a five-minute session. The transformation was instantaneous. As Kodiak pressed his warm face against Wyatt’s arm, the monitors began to beep frantically. Wyatt’s hand didn’t just twitch—it reached out and grasped the dog’s ear.

The “idiopathic” silence was finally broken. Over the following weeks, Wyatt didn’t just recover; he thrived. The bond between the baby and the dog became a medical marvel. One morning, as the spring sun began to melt the mountain snow, Wyatt did something that moved everyone to tears. Propped up on his mat, he reached for his guardian, wobbled on his own strength, and whispered his very first word: “Cota”—his version of Kodiak.

The story of “The Dog Who Waited” spread across the country, inspiring a children’s book and a new hospital wing dedicated to animal-assisted therapy. But back in their mountain cabin, the fame didn’t matter to Emily. She stood at her kitchen sink, watching her son stack blocks while his furry protector napped nearby. She realized then that healing doesn’t always come through medicine or machines. Sometimes, it arrives quietly, with four paws and a heart full of loyalty, reminding us that as long as there is love and a faithful friend by your side, even the stillest life can find its way back to motion.

“Who Is That Bastard?”: Half-Million Pound Income Still Failed – The True Tragedy Behind the £800,000 Debt That Forced Kate Garraway’s Bankruptcy and GMB Exit

LONDON—In an announcement that sent shockwaves across the United Kingdom on September 11, 2025, Kate Garraway, one of the nation’s most beloved broadcasters, confirmed her declaration of bankruptcy and abrupt end to her two-decade-long tenure on the flagship morning show, Good Morning Britain (GMB).

The 58-year-old presenter, renowned for her warmth and relentless resilience, posted a raw and deeply emotional statement on Instagram. Her cryptic yet painfully defiant words: “It’s all because of that bastard.” This instantly ignited a firestorm of speculation regarding the circumstances that led to her financial ruin and compelled her departure from ITV. As the country reels from this bombshell news, Garraway’s journey from private tragedy to public heartbreak has become a rallying cry against the systemic burdens of care.

The £800,000 Burden: The Cost of Devotion

Garraway’s financial implosion follows years of immense personal and economic strain, overwhelmingly linked to the devastating illness and subsequent passing of her husband, Derek Draper, in January 2023. Sources close to Garraway, cited by The Sun, reveal that the former political lobbyist’s prolonged battle with long COVID required round-the-clock care, plunging the family into crippling debt as medical and specialized care costs surged past £800,000.

The broadcaster’s raw reference to “that bastard” has led to intense fan speculation: was she pointing to the virus that upended her life, or perhaps a culpable figure—a financial advisor or creditor—linked to her spiraling debts? An X user captured the national mood, posting: “Kate has been through hell. Whoever or whatever ‘that bastard’ is, it has broken her.”

Collapse Due to Tax Debt and Corporate Closure

The broadcaster’s woes were compounded by the financial collapse of Astrae, a media company co-owned with Draper. The firm liquidated with debts reaching £184,000. According to Daily Mail reports, Garraway was personally saddled with a staggering tax bill of £716,000 from the liquidation, in addition to personal loans taken to cover Derek’s care.

Despite her high-profile role on GMB, which reportedly earned her an estimated £500,000 annually, the compounding costs proved overwhelming. In her heartbreaking social media post, Garraway stated: “I fought as hard as I could, but the numbers won. I’m bankrupt, and I can’t go on with GMB. My heart is broken, but I’m not.” The post, accompanied by a photo of her smiling alongside her children, Darcey (19) and Billy (15), quickly amassed over 1.2 million likes.

    GMB Loses Its “Soul”

Garraway’s departure from Good Morning Britain, where she had co-hosted since 2000, has left colleagues visibly shaken. “Kate is the heart of GMB,” Susanna Reid said live on air, emotional. “Her strength carried us all, and we are devastated she is enduring this.”

ITV released a statement praising Garraway’s “extraordinary contribution” and leaving the door open for a potential future return, though insider sources suggest the exit is permanent. Fans flooded social media with tributes, noting her ability to connect with viewers through both humor and empathy, with many calling her exit “the end of an era.”

A Global Call for Systemic Reform

Many observers interpret the allusion to “that bastard” as a powerful indictment of the systemic failures Garraway had previously highlighted in her 2021 documentary, Finding Derek, which exposed deep gaps in the UK’s care system. “She’s talking about the system that let her and Derek down,” read one X post that garnered 47,000 likes.

The public response has been immediate and overwhelming. A fan-initiated GoFundMe campaign raised £50,000 within 48 hours to support her family. Celebrities like Piers Morgan, who called her “a warrior,” and Holly Willoughby have rallied behind her. The hashtag #StandWithKate trended globally, with 3 million posts urging compassion and reform for others facing similar financial devastation due to medical costs.

“Kate’s story is a wake-up call,” one user wrote. “No one should go bankrupt caring for a loved one.” Kate Garraway’s tragedy has transcended mere entertainment news; it has become a profound national moment, shining a harsh spotlight on the true financial cost of long-term care.

The synopsis reads: ‘Pete Wicks loves dogs and has spent years working with charities to improve their welfare. There’s one thing that he doesn’t like though… Christmas! Filled with emotional stories, including the urgent challenge faced when a van full of neglected Collies arrives.

Speaking about the upcoming Christmas special, Pete said: “There are a couple of reunions of dogs from earlier episodes. I catch up with the potato pups from series one, I haven’t seen them for a year, and they all went off to different families. We have a little Christmas party for them, that was a very special moment.

“It’s very Christmassy – lots of presents for the dogs, we make it fun for them. Dogs Trust have lots of different initiatives aside from the centres, they do a lot of work with the homeless in the UK. We visit a homeless centre and saw the work Dogs Trust do with the homeless and their dogs, we met some really interesting characters and their wonderful animals.”

The famous family left Robun shortly after 9.30pm and Holly, 25, led her little brother Oscar, six, out by the hand as Adam followed.

Chef Gordon cut a smart-casual figure in a black jacket and jeans, while wife Tana wrapped up in a stylish grey coat as they made their way to a chauffeur-driven Range Rover.

Strictly Come Dancing fans are fearing for one star’s future on the show following a setback.

One star Amber Davies could be the next celebrity to waltz off the dancefloor this weekend if the bookmakers odds are anything to go by. Each week, bookmakers forecast who the next person will be to leave the BBC dance show.

But it’s not just Amber, as EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal has also found herself in a tight spot. EastEnders star Balvinder has been the bookies favourite to leave the show for a number of weeks, however she still manages to impress the judges in the dance off.

According to bookmakers Betway, Balvinder faces odds of 250/1 to leave the show while Amber is not far behind with odds of 33/1. This means the one of the Strictly hopefuls, who have done their best week on week to work their way up the leaderboard, will not make it to the final.

However, a strong contender for the iconic Strictly final is none other than Karen Carney, followed by George Clarke and Lewis Cope. Last weekend, ER star Alex Kingston and her professional dance partner Johannes Redebe said an emotional farewell after being eliminated from the competition.

This came after the judges voted for Balvinder to stay following the dreaded dance off. With her arms wrapped around Johannes’ waist, Alex appeared disappointed to be going home, but remained proud of her achievements.

Both stars resumed their favourite dance with Alex returning to her Cha Cha routine and Balvinder reprising their jive, which earned them high marks in previous weeks.

On finding out that she was to be eliminated from the BBC show, host Tess Daly asked Alex about her time on Strictly. And in response, Alex said: “I had never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would last this long. It’s been just the most incredible journey for me.”

She added: “I feel quite proud of myself because I’ve loved the process, I mean 100%, you can tell by my smile. Everyone always says that their dance partner is a friend for life, but JoJo really will be.”

Alex and Johannes had formed a strong bond during their time on the show together. Speaking about their friendship, the professional dancer said: “I’ve never grinned as much as I have in the last few weeks. Thank you, Alex, for being a trooper. “

She added: “I will hold on to the memories. As far as the dancing goes, I think we’ve achieved what we wanted to achieve. These memories are just the beginning for us; we can say that we are very much a Strictly family.”

This weekend the stars will be performing for Musicals week, with each person hoping they have done enough in training to secure a place in the semi-finals.

“SACK ME IF YOU WANT I’M NOT BACKING DOWN.” RYLAN CLARK BLOWS UP HIS ITV CAREER TO SAY WHAT OTHERS WON’T Rylan has confirmed his ITV contract is over after refusing to retreat from explosive on-air remarks about illegal immigration. Shaken but defiant, he says he has no regrets and insists some truths are worth losing a career over.

Rylan Clark has confirmed that his time at This Morning is over—this time for good. After a whirlwind week of controversy, the TV star revealed that his contract with ITV has officially been terminated following the backlash to his explosive remarks on immigration.

In an emotional sign-off, Rylan, 36, told viewers on Friday: “At last, I can finally breathe easy and speak out about those disgusting truths. I have no regrets for speaking up, even if it cost me my career. Thank you, everyone…”

The announcement marks a dramatic end to his stint as stand-in host alongside Josie Gibson, who had been covering for Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard during their summer break. Josie responded on-air with: “What a week!”—but fans had no idea that it would also be Rylan’s last.

The storm began earlier in the week when Rylan clashed with viewers over his take on Reform UK leader Nigel Farage’s mass deportation plans. Speaking live on air, he questioned:

    London Travel Guide

“I love Rylan. He’s like my son. We’ve worked together before, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. If ITV asked, I’d be there.”

This Morning continues weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX—without one of its most outspoken stars.
