SAD NEWS: Good Morning Britain host stops show to make heartbreaking announcement about Prince Andrew leaving viewers upset

What Prince Andrew Stepping Back from Public Duties Means for the Royal Family

GMB guest discusses Prince Andrew allegations

ITV fans who tuned into the latest episode of Good Morning Britain issued the same complaint over coverage regarding Prince Andrew. The breakfast show reported on fresh claims about Prince Andrew, alleging that he asked his taxpayer-funded protection officer to investigate his accuser, Virginia Giuffre. The Met Police is now looking into reports published in the Mail on Sunday. Prince Andrew has always denied the accusations made by Giuffre and has not commented on the reports. The dramatic development comes just days after he announced that he will no longer use his Duke of York title.

One person complained on X: “Anyone else thinking that the blanket media coverage of Prince Andrew is a distraction from all the other stuff going on?” A second also chimed in: “#GMB You can take every blooming title you like from Andrew. Problem is, he’ll still be who is, living where he does. In other words, no change, living better than the rest of us! @chrisshipitv #LBC @GMB #JeremyVine @Kevin_Maguire @toryboypierce.” A third also said: “@gmb I bet Prince Andrew is wishing he was an Israeli today, so you would be ignoring the story.”

Another said on X: “Just because Andrew has the title prince does not make him above the law, he should be properly investigated & if guilty arrested, charged & dealt with; if not, how can anyone believe , abide by or trust due process & the law? This has dragged on for way too long.” [sic]

An email obtained by the Mail on Sunday shows that Andrew asked his taxpayer-funded Met bodyguard to investigate Giuffre and passed him her date of birth and confidential social security number.

Victoria Derbyshire paused the Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg show to announce the update. She stated: “I want to give you this breaking news if I may, it’s from the Metropolitan Police. They say they are going to look into claims that Prince Andrew ordered his bodyguard to dig up dirt on Virginia Giuffre, who accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse. She says she was forced to have sex with him when she was 17.”

It comes after Prince Andrew announced his plan to is relinquish his dukedom, but he technically retains it as it can only be removed by an Act of Parliament. He also stays as a prince, because this is his birthright as the son of a monarch.

The titles he will no longer use include the likes of: Duke of York, the Earl of Inverness and Baron Killyleagh, his knighthood as a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO) and his Garter role as a Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.

Prince Andrew stepped down from public life in 2019 following his infamous BBC Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis.

A cherished Strictly Come Dancing star has received an outpouring of support following the announcement of a heartbreaking loss.

JLS singer JB Gill took part in the popular BBC One programme in 2024, initially dancing alongside Amy Dowden. When an unfortunate injury meant Amy had to withdraw from the competition, professional dancer Lauren Oakley took over as his partner, and together they reached the final.

Beyond his television career, JB is married to Chloe Tangney. The couple, who wed in 2014, share two children – a son called Ace and a daughter called Chiara.

However, JB recently had some tragic news to share with his followers. On Tuesday (December 16), the singer took to Instagram to reveal that the family’s dog had sadly d!ed.

Two individuals, one dressed in a vibrant patterned shirt and the other in a colorful dress adorned with yellow accents, are standing side by side with their arms on their hips, likely posing for a photograph.

JB appeared on the show last year

The performer posted pictures of the beloved pet and wrote a heartfelt tribute. JB shared: “My Nala. From the very first day we met I knew you would be ours. Such a good girl, sitting on my lap on the Paul O’Grady show, you knew exactly what you were doing trying to win over my heart and you did exactly that.”, reports Wales Online.

“We brought you home right before Christmas and you slotted right in, we gave you our home, our love and even our dinner and in return you gave us you love and protection and companionship.”

JB went on to say: “We so very dearly miss you. We will miss you running after the wildlife and turning your head sideways when you didn’t want to do as you were told. We will even miss you rooting through the bin and leaving a mess before looking at us like you’d done absolutely nothing wrong.

Fellow performers and supporters were swift to offer their condolences to the grieving singer. Lauren Oakley responded with a crying face and heartbreak emoji, whilst Tasha Ghouri expressed: “Sending so much love JB.”

One supporter commented: “Oh J sending you, Chloe and the rest of your family love and support. Nala will always be watching over you.” Another follower added: “Oh Jay I’m so sorry to hear this all so so so so much love.”

BBC bosses are adamant that the latest Strictly Come Dancing series will proceed as planned after a male star was arrested by police on suspicion of r@pe. The individual, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, is also facing questioning over claims involving “non-consensual intimate image abuse”.

The BBC has reportedly confirmed that a police investigation remains ongoing. However, sources close to the broadcasters maintain that the accusations do not concern anyone involved in this year’s programme, meaning that they remain confident the dance competition, including rehearsal sessions, can proceed as normal. A BBC insider revealed there is nothing to indicate the allegation relates to the current Strictly production. They confirmed: “We think the new series will continue as normal.”

The fresh Met Police probe comes after a BBC-led investigation into allegations of drug misuse by programme personalities, reports the Mirror.

A Met spokesperson confirmed: “On Friday, August 22, officers arrested a man on suspicion of r@pe and non-consensual intimate image abuse.

“We urge anyone with any information to come forward to us. The arrest follows a third-party allegation of sexual and drug-related offences.” The alleged victim is receiving support from specialist officers.

The arrest comes a year after BBC newsreader Huw Edwards avoided a custodial sentence for possessing indecent images of children.

A BBC representative told the press: “It would not be appropriate to comment on an ongoing police investigation.”

Last year, dancer Giovanni Pernice also left the show after allegations of bullying his 2023 partner, Amanda Abbington. While some complaints against him were upheld, he was cleared of the most serious accusations.

Dancer Graziano Di Prima was also dismissed following allegations of misconduct towards his partner, Zara McDermott. Additionally, opera singer Wynne Evans exited the show’s tour after being accused of making inappropriate comments.

Express.co.uk have contacted the BBC for comment.

Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer are regular hosts of Sunday Brunch but the former was absent from the Channel 4 programme. Former BBC Breakfast star Steph McGovern joined Simon Rimmer on daytime show. The presenting duo welcomed their panel of guests including Al Murray, Robert Sean Leonard, Sandra Yi Sencindiver and Rudimental. The former host of Steph’s Packed Lunch host confessed she felt “a bit nervous” about filling Tim’s position. Her Sunday Brunch debut sparked a divide among fans as many viewers flocked to social media to say the same thing.

Viewers praised the former BBC presenter as one said: “This is so much more watchable with Steph.” Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley agreed: “ABSOLUTELY LOVING @StephLunch hosting on today’s @SundayBrunchC4 she’s amazing, natural, very funny, genuine, and basically it works more of this please @Channel4.”

A third gushed: “What a difference it is having the lovely Steph co-presenting this week. Bring her on more often. Great cheeky, playful vibes. @StephLunch #SundayBrunch.”

A fourth wrote: “#SundayBrunch Steph should be on every week.”

Others disagreed as one social media user complained: “#sundaybrunch Never thought I’d say it, but bring back Tim…”

Another blasted: “Not enjoyable to watch.”

Steph fronted BBC Breakfast from 2011 before moving to Channel 4 to present her own show in 2019.

Steph’s Packed Lunch was cancelled in December 2023 when Channel 4 confirmed its axing.

She expressed at the time: “I’m not going to waffle on because I can’t say anything emotional without doing that ugly crying. But thank you for watching, thank you for everyone who’s been on the show.

“I’ve loved it, and I am glad you have to. That is all from us here in Leeds. Look after yourselves, and goodbye!”

  • “SACK ME IF YOU WANT I’M NOT BACKING DOWN.” RYLAN CLARK BLOWS UP HIS ITV CAREER TO SAY WHAT OTHERS WON’T Rylan has confirmed his ITV contract is over after refusing to retreat from explosive on-air remarks about illegal immigration. Shaken but defiant, he says he has no regrets and insists some truths are worth losing a career over.

“SACK ME IF YOU WANT I’M NOT BACKING DOWN.” RYLAN CLARK BLOWS UP HIS ITV CAREER TO SAY WHAT OTHERS WON’T Rylan has confirmed his ITV contract is over after refusing to retreat from explosive on-air remarks about illegal immigration. Shaken but defiant, he says he has no regrets and insists some truths are worth losing a career over.

Rylan Clark has confirmed that his time at This Morning is over—this time for good. After a whirlwind week of controversy, the TV star revealed that his contract with ITV has officially been terminated following the backlash to his explosive remarks on immigration.

Watch 'sad' Rylan Clark-Neal 'cry' as he presents This Morning for the last time - Daily Record

In an emotional sign-off, Rylan, 36, told viewers on Friday: “At last, I can finally breathe easy and speak out about those disgusting truths. I have no regrets for speaking up, even if it cost me my career. Thank you, everyone…”

The announcement marks a dramatic end to his stint as stand-in host alongside Josie Gibson, who had been covering for Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard during their summer break. Josie responded on-air with: “What a week!”—but fans had no idea that it would also be Rylan’s last.

The storm began earlier in the week when Rylan clashed with viewers over his take on Reform UK leader Nigel Farage’s mass deportation plans. Speaking live on air, he questioned:

“How come if I turn up at Heathrow Airport as a British citizen and I’ve left my passport in Spain, I won’t be let in? But if I arrive on a boat from Calais, I get taken to a four-star hotel?”

Rylan insisted that he was not against immigration, adding: “This country is built on immigration—legal immigration. They pay tax, they help our country thrive. But illegal routes? That’s something we can’t ignore.”

He also highlighted what he saw as a growing injustice: “You’ve got people who have lived here all their lives struggling, while others are handed hotels, phones, even iPads. Something major has to change.”

    TV show subscriptions

The remarks instantly divided audiences, with critics accusing him of spreading misinformation about asylum seekers in the UK. Social media erupted, and within hours, calls were mounting for ITV to act.

On X, Rylan fought back, declaring: “You can be pro-immigration and against illegal routes. You can support trans rights and respect women. You can be straight and support gay rights. The list goes on.”

Rylan Clark tipped to be axed from This Morning following small boats row

    Social media training

But by Friday, the damage was done. ITV confirmed behind the scenes that his role would not continue, with insiders revealing that the network and Rylan had “mutually agreed” to terminate his contract.

    Daytime TV merchandise

Fans reacted with heartbreak. One wrote: “Please keep Rylan and Josie on! They’re the best duo in years.” Another added: “I won’t be watching come next week—he was the only reason I tuned in again.”

The news came just as former host Ruth Langsford teased her own return to the iconic sofa. Speaking to The Mirror, she hinted she’d happily reunite with her “TV son” Rylan:

“I love Rylan. He’s like my son. We’ve worked together before, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. If ITV asked, I’d be there.”

However, with Rylan’s future at ITV officially closed, fans are now left wondering: could the duo reunite on an entirely new project away from This Morning? Ruth teased that something might already be in the works.

For now, one thing is clear: Rylan Clark is stepping away from daytime  TV on his own terms—louder, prouder, and with no regrets.

This Morning continues weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX—without one of its most outspoken stars.

“Suffocating in My Dream Home”: Jade Tolbert CONFESSES She and Her Husband Can’t Find Common Ground, Admitting the PRESSURE of Raising Kids Is PULLING Them APART as She Plans to DISAPPEAR From Social Media to Save Her Mental Health

    Keeping it real.

Bachelor Nation fan-favorite couple Jade Roper Tolbert and Tanner Tolbert first fell in love and got engaged on the beach during Season 2 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”

Since then, they’ve gotten married and welcomed three children together: Emerson, Brooks, and Reed.

The couple recently bought their dream home in Kansas City, and Jade loves keeping followers updated with their lives on social media.

And this week, the Bachelor Nation star took to her Instagram Story to answer some fan questions and opened up about her marriage to Tanner.

    Instagram
One person asked her what the biggest challenge in her marriage is, and Jade responded honestly, “I think most of the time it’s probably when we make assumptions about the other person’s behaviors or actions or thinking, which I guess basically breaks down to lack of communication.”

The Bachelor Nation star continued and expressed that it can be a challenge for them to find time for communication.

She said, “But it’s so hard to have lots of quality time for communication with younger kids. My brain and Tanner’s brain think very differently, so trying to understand each other can be hard sometimes. Lol.”

Another person then switched gears and asked what is on Jade’s holiday list this year, and she replied, “I was talking to a friend about this the other day.”

    Instagram

Jade continued, expressing, “I know it sounds corny, but truly just having my family’s health is the best gift. 💝”

Jade also admitted she’s considering unplugging from social media for a couple days.

She shared, “I think a couple planned unplugs would be really good for me. I’ve been doing this job for over ten years, and really have never had a true break, never even had maternity leaves…I don’t have plans to fully leave social media or anything like that, I think breaks are imperative, even for everyone who consumes social media.”

We always love hearing from Jade and we appreciate that she keeps it real with her followers. We love the Tolbert family!

COUNTRYSIDE DETONATES: Police Ban Farmers’ Protest – Then 10,000 Tractors Storm London in Fury! Starmer’s Final Warning Shot Just Blew Up in His Face!

A farmer has warned the Labour Government will need “the army” to stop the  tractors descending on Westminster ahead of the Budget.

Speaking to GB News, Olly Harrison said the Government and the Met Police “do not care about the rural community” after cancelling their planned Budget protest.

Speaking to the People’s Channel, Berkshire Farmers Group organisers George Brown, Dan Willis and Caroline Graham Dr Alison Heydari, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Scotland Yard, withdrew consent for the demonstration with less than 10 hours to go.

Highlighting their devastation at the U-turn by police, Mr Brown said: “Yeah Martin, we’re absolutely devastated. We’ve been working on this for months and we’ve had a great relationship with the Met.”

Asked by host Martin Daubney if the move “smacks of two-tier policing”, Mr Harrison agreed: “It smells a bit fishy to me, definitely.

“A group of farmers not that far from here organise something for Budget day, because obviously we want a positive outcome in the Budget. They’ve got some things organised and they’ve been engaged with the Met for probably two or three months.

“And it all seemed to be okay, and then just on the 11th hour, they say, ‘oh no, you can’t come with any  tractors, you can’t do this’. And it’s just like, well, why? And they are like, ‘well, it’s come from above’.

As Martin highlighted that the Met Police knew about the plans for 400 tractors to be at the protest “a month ago”, Mr Harrison responded: “Does the rural community not matter?”

Olly Harrison has warned that the authorities will need ‘the army’ to stop the tractors descending on Westminster

He explained: “What I don’t understand is that these tractors are on the way. I’ve seen on Twitter, tractors are on the way from York. They’re not going to turn around when they’re so close, are they?

“So to me, it made perfect sense to keep them all in Whitehall because no one really lives there, no one important anyway, stick them in there, let them have a chin wag, let them listen to the Budget and off they go.

The farmer stated: “Trying to stop them, what are they going to do, put a  ring around London and stop every  tractor trying to come in? It’ll just bring the police to a standstill, and they’ll need the army to stop them.”

Suggesting that the tractors and the protesting farmers will still demonstrate in Westminster on Wednesday, Mr Harrison told GB News: “Well, from what I hear, they’re still on their way.”

    Farmer protest

Farmers were set to bring their tractors to Whitehall as part of their latest protest against the family farm tax

Asked if the protesters will take their demonstration “on foot” to Whitehall if their tractors are not permitted, Mr Harrsion stated: “Oh yeah, definitely. There were a lot coming on foot anyway.

“There’s a few tractors coming, but most were on foot already.”

In a statement, the Berkshire Farmers Group told GB News: “Imposing these conditions on a protest with this short of a notice is, in our opinion, a malicious approach to preventing our right to protest, leaving little time for appeal or for facilitating their requests.

“Therefore, we, Berkshire Farmers Group and all associated organisers including but not limited to George Brown, Dan Willis and Caroline Graham, wish to inform all attendees that this protest has been cancelled by Dr Alison Heydari of the Metropolitan Police, and we absolve ourselves of all responsibilities for any attendance to this event.”

    Olly Harrison

Announcing the decision on Tuesday afternoon, Scotland Yard said: “We have had a number of conversations with the protest organisers to safely manage the event.

“While people will still be able to demonstrate, conditions have been put in place to prevent protesters from bringing vehicles, including tractors or other agricultural vehicles to the protest.

“This decision was taken due to the serious disruption they may cause to the local area, including businesses, emergency services and Londoners going about their day.”

While stressing that the protest had not been banned, the Met Police added: “Any person taking part in the farmers protest must remain in Richmond Terrace, Whitehall.”

TV Studio Explodes as Conor McGregor Unleashes a Ferocious Broadside Against Keir Starmer, Shocking Viewers by Throwing His Full Support Behind Tommy Robinson and Igniting a Furious National Debate That Quickly Spills Beyond the Screen

In a riveting and unrelenting television appearance, Conor McGregor unleashed a fierce critique of UK Labour leader Keir Starmer while mounting a powerful defense of controversial figure Tommy Robinson, igniting a firestorm across Britain’s political landscape. The MMA superstar’s outspoken stance on free speech has thrust a deeply divisive issue onto the national stage with unprecedented intensity.

McGregor’s comments, delivered with his trademark raw energy, challenged the UK government’s handling of Robinson’s case, exposing what he described as a disturbing pattern of political censorship and punitive overreach. Robinson’s imprisonment, following a contempt of court conviction linked to breaching an injunction, has drawn sharp criticism for the severity of the sentence and his conditions in custody, including prolonged solitary confinement.

The fighter’s visceral condemnation directly targeted Starmer, leaving the politician visibly scrambling to justify the government’s approach during the live broadcast. McGregor’s central argument championed a fundamental democratic principle: those exposing uncomfortable truths deserve praise, not punishment. His assertion that “light is the best disinfectant” struck at the heart of Britain’s free speech debate, challenging the selective enforcement of gag orders and the silencing of dissenting voices.

Robinson, known for his polarizing views and part Irish heritage, has become a symbol for McGregor’s broader critique of Britain’s justice system and political establishment. The 18-month sentence he now serves for contempt has been widely scrutinized, with many questioning whether his treatment represents political retribution rather than fair judicial process.

McGregor didn’t mince words describing the potential human cost: fear of mental breakdown, death in jail, and a chilling message to future generations about the dangers of speaking out. His vivid portrayal of Robinson’s ordeal served as a rallying cry for transparency and accountability, demanding that political authorities end what he called the suppression of inconvenient facts.

The sports star’s intervention resonates wildly because it breaks from celebrity shallow endorsements, stemming instead from his real-world experiences as a business owner aware of governance’s tangible consequences. By raising issues from immigration to crime, McGregor underscores his investment in societal outcomes beyond the octagon, giving his words an uncommon weight in political discourse.

This confrontation elevates Robinson’s case into a broader, uncomfortable national reckoning. It questions whether Britain can still claim to be a democracy that upholds justice visibly and fairly, especially when political affiliations seem to influence who faces the harshest penalties for speech transgressions. The notion that Robinson’s confinement is disproportionate compared to others convicted of similar procedural violations fuels accusations of targeted suppression.

Across the UK media and political sphere, Robinson has often been pigeonholed as an extremist, an oversimplification that McGregor’s rebuke challenges outright. The inconsistencies in enforcement reveal cracks in the facade of impartial justice, forcing citizens to confront the troubling reality of ideological selective punishment.

McGregor’s position as a cultural and economic powerhouse in Ireland further intensifies his influence. Unlike many commentators, his criticisms come attached to substantial social and economic clout, making it difficult for politicians to dismiss him as a frivolous or disconnected celebrity. His direct challenge to Starmer symbolizes a broader distrust of political elites perceived as evasive and disconnected from public concerns.

The live  TV exchange exposed stark contrasts: polished political rhetoric versus McGregor’s unfiltered transparency. Where establishment figures offered guarded explanations, McGregor’s blunt questions echoed a growing public skepticism towards official narratives that conceal rather than reveal. His defiant demand to shed light on “horrific crimes” they’d rather ignore struck a nerve nationwide.

    Storyboard 2

This confrontation is not simply about Tommy Robinson. It reflects a fundamental crisis over who controls information, who decides which stories are told, and which opinions must be censored or punished. The issue transcends a single legal case, rippling into the core of Britain’s democratic identity and its commitment to free expression.

McGregor’s testimony has sparked an urgent debate on the balance between protecting court processes and preserving free speech rights. His urgent call for transparency challenges the government to justify the harsh punishments meted out for what some see as procedural missteps dressed as criminal contempt.

The British public now faces a critical choice echoed by McGregor’s fervent words: uphold the messy, sometimes uncomfortable reality of free speech or retreat into a conformist society where dissent is stifled and punished. As Robinson endures his sentence, the narrative is shifting from a legal matter into a high-stakes cultural battle over the future of free expression in the UK.

Starmer’s uneasy responses reveal political discomfort when confronted with blunt truths outside of controlled media environments. McGregor’s unapologetic tone and refusal to back down underscore a growing impatience with political doublespeak and censorship by bureaucratic decree.

    Storyboard 1

Observers note this moment marks a significant fracture between traditional political actors and figures like McGregor who resonate with a public tired of filtered, obfuscated dialogue. The fighter’s intervention channels widespread frustration with perceived institutional overreach that threatens democratic discourse.

In the wake of these explosive remarks, increased scrutiny on how Britain prosecutes speech-related offenses is inevitable. The question lingers: does the severity of Robinson’s punishment signify a dangerous precedent where political dissent is criminalized rather than debated?

The world is watching as this controversy unfolds, spotlighting what many see as a troubling erosion of transparency and fairness. McGregor’s bold stance amplifies global conversations about freedom of expression, governmental accountability, and the vital need for open public debate in democratic societies.

This breaking story demands urgent attention. McGregor’s direct challenge to a major political figure and the defense of a contentious prisoner have transformed a complex legal case into a flashpoint for the ongoing struggle over truth, justice, and free speech in modern Britain. The ramifications will echo far beyond the courtroom and the octagon, pressing the nation to reckon with its values and the price of silence.
