How long Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk will really be allowed to call themselves the 'undisputed world champion'

The winner of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk won’t be able to call themselves undisputed champion for very long.

Fury defends his WBC belt against Usyk, who puts his WBA (super), IBF and WBO titles on the line in tonight’s monstrous contest.

The Riyadh showdown will crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999 when Lennox Lewis toppled Evander Holyfield.

But Fury or Usyk will only have undisputed status for ‘less than two weeks’.

According to boxing reporter Dan Rafael, the winner of the undisputed fight will be forced to vacate the IBF title shortly after their clash.

The IBF belt will be contested by overdue mandatory challenger Filip Hrgovic, who meets Daniel Dubois on June 1.

Hrgovic, unbeaten in 17 pro bouts, is set to compete in his first world title fight since leaving the amateur ranks, where he won a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics.

The Croatian star boasts a big win over Zhilei Zhang as he returns to action against Dubois.

Once Fury or Usyk relinquishes the IBF strap, Hrgovic and Dubois will battle for the vacant world title.

And the winner of Hrgovic vs. Dubois is lined up to face Anthony Joshua in September.

Saudi Arabia chief Turki Alalshikh plans to match Joshua against the winner of Hrgovic vs. Dubois, which will be for the IBF title.

On The MMA Hour, Alalshikh said: “We have Joshua’s fight in September, it all depends on the result of the Hrgovic fight [with Dubois].

“Because now we have locked Wilder to Jared Anderson in the card in Los Angeles.”

Then, the winner of Joshua vs. Hrgovic/Dubois is set to face the winner of the contracted rematch between Fury and Usyk, which is tentatively scheduled for October.

So, the winner of Joshua vs. Hrgovic/Dubois will take on the winner of Fury vs. Usyk 2 in what will be another undisputed bout.

  • Inside Tyson Fury’s chaotic ‘rollercoaster’ life: The Gypsy King has shone a light on his manic family, come back from brink of suicide, fluxuated in weight and backtracked on retirement ahead of Usyk fight

Inside Tyson Fury’s chaotic ‘rollercoaster’ life: The Gypsy King has shone a light on his manic family, come back from brink of suicide, fluxuated in weight and backtracked on retirement ahead of Usyk fight

Who is the real Tyson Fury? Over the course of his 16-year career as a boxer, it’s been difficult to put a finger on it.

The Gypsy King is an enigma of different personalities with a larger than life aura that has at times enthralled the world of boxing while leaving it frustrated and baffled on other occasions.

In truth, you never quite know what you’re going to get with Fury – the man who has regularly threatened to retire before leaping back into action and teased huge fights only to then cancel plans just days later.

The 35-year-old will face Ukrainian fighter Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia on May 18 in a fight where the winner will become undisputed heavyweight world champion, with the contest dubbed ‘The Ring of Fire’. That might also be a way to describe Fury’s topsy-turvy life and career.

Fans were given a glimpse into that very way of life after Netflix released a fly-on-the-wall documentary at his family home – titled ‘At Home With the Furys’, showing off his house in Morecambe and his interactions with Paris, their seven children, father John and Love Island star brother Tommy.

The show was positively received as viewers were treated to candid conversations and a behind the scenes look at the key people in Fury’s life, including chats between Tommy and his model girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.

Fury – who has bipolar disorder – gave a fascinating insight into his relationship with his family, continuing his classically chaotic behaviour by inviting his father John on a trip to Italy, before changing his mind and slyly telling him the flights had been cancelled.

But shortly after the documentary was released, Fury revealed that he thought signing up to have cameras in his house was ‘a mistake’ and that he had explored ways to end their contract with Netflix mid-way through filming.

‘Yeah I wanted out, he told Capital XTRA Breakfast.’ I was a couple of weeks in [and] I’d be on the phone with my lawyers [saying], “Is there any way I can get out of this? I don’t know what I’ve signed up for again”. I never said I’d do it again, I’ve done it again, I’ve made a mistake.’

Fury even credited his bipolar as being part of his decision making process over the documentary and other aspects in his life.

Fury quickly decided he didn't want the documentary to be filmed midway through - before changing his mind and agreeing to a second season

Fury quickly decided he didn’t want the documentary to be filmed midway through – before changing his mind and agreeing to a second season

‘That’s just my bipolar going up and down all the time,’ he added. ‘One minute I’m happy, the next minute I’m not and it’s very evident to see my emotional roller-coaster throughout this episode. People are going to be shocked because I can take 10 turns in an hour.’

Now Fury has been spotted filming season two of At Home With the Furys.

It’s very much a case of ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ with how quickly things change with the family.

That continued the theme of Fury’s chaotic career, which saw him claim he was retired after defeating Dillian Whyte in April 2022 and that ‘no amount of money’ would lure him back – even betting Piers Morgan £1million he would not U-turn on his decision.

‘This is the truth, the gospel truth, nothing but the truth – I’m done. Every good dog has its day. It’s not about money for me. A lot of people in this world, everything is about money, and more money and more money. I’ve got enough money. I’ve got enough of everything I need.’

Shortly after, he insisted it would take £500m to tempt him out of retirement after being questioned whether he could fight either Usyk or British rival Anthony Joshua.

Fury has often threatened to retire and then made a massive U-turn – and has also contradicted himself over being motivated by money

‘You better have a big cheque book, because to bring the big ‘GK’ out of retirement… it’s going to cost,’ he said.

Of course, he did come out of retirement just eight months after initially announcing he was hanging up his gloves as he returned against Dereck Chisora – a fight which earned him a reported £26m.

He’d go on to agree a fight against Usyk the following year in 2023 – before calling it off after negotiations collapsed over a disputed purse split, even after Usyk agreed to take home 30 per cent, as he took on UFC star Francis Ngannou in a money-spinning crossover bout that saw him collect at least £50m.

Now he’s finally nailed down a date with Usyk, with his 70 per cent split set to hand him more than double his purse with Ngannou at £116m. So it is about the money after all. Fury even confirmed that as he went back on himself ahead of this fight.

‘If it was belts that drive me I’d go to Matalan and buy 50 belts,’ he said.

‘It’s the money that drives me, not the belts. I’ve been very open in my whole career telling you all it’s only about the coins and I’ll stand by it today… So for me to say to you all, “Oh, I wanna win 20 belts, it’s not about the money”, it ain’t true, is it? It ain’t true.’

His fight against Usyk (right) has been postponed a number of times and there have been questions over his desire for the showdown

It’s the classic rollercoaster Fury ride that the man himself referenced. A rollercoaster ride that has seen him go from world champion in 2015 to depression and being on the verge of suicide – before ballooning to 28 stone in weight and rising to the summit of the sport again in 2020 by dethroning feared heavyweight Deontay Wilder.

At his lowest ebb, Fury said he came close to taking his own life following his win over long-reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko in Germany after turning to drugs and alcohol and questioning what more he had left to achieve in life after such a notable high.

‘One day I woke up and thought “today’s the day I end it all”,’ he said in an ITV interview. ‘I was heading towards this bridge, I was going to smash the car into the bridge at very high speed, I just didn’t have the ambition to live any more.

‘Before I got to the bridge I heard a voice saying “don’t do this, you’re going to destroy your family’s life” and I immediately pulled the car over and that was the first time I thought, “right, now or never. I need to get well immediately”.’

That vow to turn his life around saw him shed nine stone in less than two years before making his comeback to the ring in 2018 and then things started getting better.

He returned to his charismatic self, secured more lucrative fights against the likes of Wilder before becoming heavyweight champion again.

He looks to be enjoying fighting again and is in much better shape these days – looking particularly lean in his second fight against Wilder that saw him claim his world title belt.

Fury has battled back from the brink of suicide and his weight has fluctuated over the years

But his weight has fluctuated, much like his state of mind across his career, and there have been times when Fury’s desire to continue in the sport has looked questionable, particularly after looking off the pace and out of shape when he very narrowly beat Ngannou – a UFC fighter in his first pro boxing fight – in Saudi Arabia last year.

His own dad admitted that Fury’s conditioning needed improving and that he was ‘declining’ in his last few fights.

‘In my opinion, Tyson needs a bit more time to get his conditioning right and his weight right,’ Fury Snr said.

‘For me it looked like he had lost 20lbs of muscle last time. Something was wrong.

‘For my money, his last three fights, I have seen a bit of decline. Not a decline in ability but a decline in strength, power and physical condition. I don’t know what they are doing up there, you have to address it. He didn’t look himself out in Saudi.

‘He didn’t look right, everything had changed about him, his demeanour, his body. I was puzzled.’

    +10

The Gypsy King now looks like he’s in ripped condition as the May 18 Usyk fight draws closer

But just like he always does, Fury has turned it around again right at the last minute.

Ahead his fight against Usyk – the feared southpaw fighter who has never lost – his opponent’s camp questioned whether he would even turn up after postponing their scheduled bout earlier this year with a freak cut above his eye.

After facing accusations he was ‘scared’ and that his ‘legs had gone’ from fans and pundits, Fury hit back at any suggestions he was done with the sport as he showed off pictures of his trimmed physique just weeks out from the fight.

It’s hard to deny Fury now looks the most ripped he’s ever been for this fight having finally upped his intensity for what looks to be the biggest fight of his life.

After claims that he barely trained for the inexperienced Ngannou – who floored him in the third round – Fury’s sparring partner Martin Bakole confirmed those theories by revealing how things looked from his perspective during the training camp.

Fury was heavily criticised after being downed by the inexperienced Francis Ngannou but looks to be back on track

Fury was heavily criticised after being downed by the inexperienced Francis Ngannou but looks to be back on track

‘If you watch my interview [at the event] when people are asking me, I was saying I will not be surprised to see Ngannou drop Tyson Fury, because, to be honest, Tyson was not 100 per cent focused in the gym,’ he said.

‘I’ve never seen Tyson training like that. He was doing four rounds, six rounds in the gym for sparring.

‘That’s not the Tyson Fury I know when he was preparing for Klitschko, Chisora, and Dillian Whyte. This was different.’

Fury has surprised us again and looks to have put those doubts behind him – for now at least.

This time there is seemingly nothing to stop Fury from fully focusing on this fight. He has come through difficult moments in the past.

Just before his huge third fight against Wilder in 2021, his newborn daughter Athena was in intensive care and put on a ventilator.

There is full focus on this fight after he and wife Paris dealt with a series of tragedies and setbacks

He and wife Paris had already endured the horror of a stillbirth in 2014 – at the same time Fury’s uncle Hughie passed away – while the mother of his children also suffered a miscarriage in 2018 head of his big comeback fight against Sefer Seferi.

And in 2022, Fury’s cousin Rico Burton was stabbed to death in Altrincham following a fight outside a bar.

Fury released a statement, calling for an end to knife crime, saying: ‘Life is very precious and it can be taken away very quick enjoy every moment… RIP Rico Burton may the lord God grant you a good place in heaven. see you soon.’

Without a doubt, Fury’s life and career has carried more ups and downs than any rollercoaster but with a rematch against Usyk around the corner, plus a craved fight against British rival Anthony Joshua in the offing – plus another season of his documentary – there is bound to be a few more twists and turns in his story to come.

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul undercard bout CONFIRMED as boxing icon gears up for controversial return to the ring

The undercard for Mike Tyson‘s showdown with Jake Paul is beginning to take shape two months out from the controversial Netflix event.

Tyson is set to climb back through the ropes at the age of 58 in an opinion-dividing bout against online sensation Paul, 27, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on July 20.

Despite the former undisputed heavyweight champion not boxing competitively for close to 20 years, the fight will be a professional contest sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.

Fears have grown for ‘Iron’ Mike’s safety as he prepares to step into the ring with an up-and-coming fighter 30 years his senior, who has knocked out his last two opponents in vicious fashion.

Nevertheless, the bout is still scheduled to go ahead on July 20 regardless of those concerns – and on Tuesday another fight taking place on the undercard was confirmed.

On a show that will also see women’s boxing greats Amanda Serrano – who fights under Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions banner – and Katie Taylor lock horns in a highly-anticipated rematch for the undisputed super-lightweight title, another MVP signing will also be in action.

Indian boxing talent Neeraj Goyat (18-4-2, 8 KOs) is set to make his debut for the promotion against Brazil’s Whindersson Nunes, with the pair scheduled to battle it out in a six-round super-middleweight contest

Goyat, one of the most viral boxers on the planet, was forced to postpone a mega-fight with Amir Khan back in 2019 following a car accident.

Back in February, the 32-year-old got into a heated scuffle with Paul after travelling from India to Puerto Rico to square up to the YouTuber-turned-fighter.

Paul decided to keep his enemy close by signing him to MVP a week after that incident, and three months later he is due to feature on July 20’s blockbuster event in Arlington.

‘I couldn’t be more excited to make my MVP debut on what promises to be the biggest boxing event in history,’ Goyat said.

Tyson Fury’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk ‘will happen’, insists promoter Frank Warren with fight set to take place in Saudi Arabia in October

Tyson Fury‘s promoter Frank Warren has confirmed that his fighter does plan to rematch Oleksandr Usyk later this year.

The Ukrainian defeated the Gypsy King in a blockbuster clash on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia, winning via split decision after the judges scored the bout 115-112, 113-114, 114-113.

It meant that Usyk became the first boxer since Lennox Lewis in 1999 to unify the heavyweight division after taking the WBC title off Fury, which was added to his WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO titles.

There was an immediate rematch clause attached to the bout but there have been doubts over whether Fury will exercise it and speculation over a possible retirement.

However, speaking on talkSPORT, Warren insisted Fury does intend to meet usyk in the ring for a second time.

‘He’s back here, he’s recuperating and his mood is that he wants the rematch and that’s already signed for so it will happen,’ said Warren.

He then confirmed that the fight will take place in October in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – the location of their inaugural encounter.

It marks a clear change in tone from Warren, who had been partly to blame for the3 doubts over a rematch.

Speaking to Seconds Out on Sunday, he said: ‘We are committed because there’s a contract signed. However, Tyson’s got to want to do it and Usyk has got to want to do it.

There were doubts over whether Fury would exercise his rematch clause after his defeat

‘If one of them says ‘I’ve had enough’ that could be the case. And that would be their choice.

‘They’re two guys who gave everything in that ring, both of them.’

When pressed on whether Usyk actually has the option to pull out, with the rematch clause being in the hands of the loser, Warren replied: ‘Well he can, he’s the champion, he can say he’s retiring.

‘I’m not saying he would, but he has that option, doesn’t he?’

Asked what hesitation there might be from Fury’s side, Warren continued: ‘He did immediately say [he’d take the rematch] in the ring.

Tyson Fury ready for a rematch after losing against Usyk

‘But I told him he’s been away from his family since last December, two back-to-back training camps, no fight in between, it’s a long time to be away from his family.

‘We don’t have to make any decisions about anything. It’s contracted, and if he wants to go through with it he’ll go through with it.

‘But who is anybody to pressure Tyson on what he should be doing. That’s his choice. He’s the guy getting in the ring, he’s the guy who’s taking the lumps and that’s how it is.’

Simon Jordan and Frank Warren get into an EXPLOSIVE argument over talkSPORT’s ‘preposterous’ ban from Tyson Fury’s fights

Simon Jordan tangled with Frank Warren in an explosive argument over the fighter’s blanket ban on talkSPORT from covering his fights.

Fury issued the ban in October 2023 in the wake of comments made by Jordan that his team believe suggested the heavyweight had ducked his unification bout with Oleksandr Usyk earlier that year.

The long-awaited undisputed fight finally took place in Riyadh on Saturday, with Fury failing to overcome the Ukrainian former cruiserweight on the biggest stage of all and Usyk winning via split decision.

Fury’s brother Shane announced the ban stressing that: ‘talkSPORT and Simon Jordan will never have anything to do with Tyson again.’

While Jordan was adamant at the time he remained a fan of the boxer’s, he showed no compunctions arguing against the ban with Fury’s promoter Warren, who continues to regularly appear on the broadcaster.

‘I think the way Tyson’s been engaged and the ban that’s been put on talksport is preposterous,’ Jordan said in a video clip shared on social media. ‘I have been a major advocate of his over the years.

‘I have had to listen to Tyson’s disposition on (me) losing money and what I am etc. And there comes a point where people are getting fed up with it.’

Jordan was referencing the March 2023 social media fracas which saw Fury call Jordan a ‘little b****’, tease him for ‘losing £100million’, and said he was a ‘little sausage’.

‘You’re a big boy, you should be able to take it too,’ Warren hit back.

When Jordan agreed with this, and Warren’s comment that ‘you can’t dish it out if you can’t take it’, before the promoter added: ‘You’re not in a position, nor is it going to happen, that he wants to build any bridges with you.’

When Jordan said that he ‘couldn’t care less’, the Queensberry chief sniped: ‘But I’m not bringing it up, you’re bringing it up.

‘I find it very simplistic. If he is continuously getting stick, he doesn’t have to speak to you. He is under no obligation to speak to you, and some fighters don’t even talk to the press.’

‘You guys take all the compliments and none of the criticism and I expected better,’ Jordan added.

‘So did I from you, because what you’ve not done any time is mention he’s got bipolar,’ Warren responded, which prompted Jordan to reply: ‘If I’d written a column about Tyson Fury’s medical condition, you’d have been all over me like a rash.’

Earlier in the conversation, Warren had brought up Fury’s diagnosis, suggesting that the fighter’s mental health condition had played a role in his remarks after Saturday’s fight.

Fury was criticised in the aftermath for implying that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine had played a role in the fight’s adjudication and outcome.

‘Tyson is bipolar,’ Warren had said. ‘If you go on the NHS site and look at what the symptoms are of bipolar, some of the things is saying exactly what is on your mind.

‘If it’s in your mind, you say it. That is one of the symptoms, unfortunately.

‘With Tyson, he’s said in the past, “I’ve retired”. And a couple of months later, “I’m fighting again”. That’s unfortunately one of the things that happens with people who suffer from a dreadful illness.

‘It was called manic depression years ago, now it’s called bipolar. It’s all well documented the problems he’s had down the years. Tyson is a warrior.’

When Warren later stressed that the pair were ‘never going to agree’ on how the media has discussed Fury’s mental health diagnosis, Jordan said it was because the promoter was incorrect.

‘Because you’re bloody wrong, and you’re defending Tyson because it represents a commercial interest to you,’ Jordan continued.

Warren argued that the Jordan was in the same, only for the pundit to disagree.

‘No I don’t,’ Jordan hit back. ‘It’s not about commercial objectivity, it’s about calling things as they really are becase most people don’t, and you and your boy can’t take it when it’s put on your toes.’

After months of build-up, Fury and Usyk will finally settle their differences in Riyadh on Saturday night to determine the best heavyweight on the planet.

Tensions have been running high between the two for months now and during the weigh-ins, Fury had a heated clash with his Ukrainian counter-part.

However, Fury’s son – Prince John James – appears to have a more lenient view on the situation and was seen posing alongside Usyk just a few hours before the fight.

While Usyk appeared amicable towards Fury’s son, the same can not be said for his attitude towards the Gypsy King which was exemplified at the weigh-ins.

Tempers flared after both fighters had stepped off the scales before the heavyweights squared off and butted heads on stage.

A fracas subsequently broke out with Fury appearing to push Usyk away from him, before the pair were pulled away by their respective teams.

Fury then unleashed a furious tirade to a DAZN reporter, shouting: ‘I’m coming for his heart. F*** his belts, I’m coming for his f***ing heart.

‘I’m going to knock him spark out. F*** all his team, f*** the lot of them! They can all get it if they want to. S***houses!’

The Gypsy King was also asked how he was feeling after the face-off, to which he replied: ‘I’m ready to rock and roll tonight, I’m going to knock this little f***er spark out.’

He added: ‘I’m just here to relax now and wait until I get into the ring on Saturday night. All the talking is done, all the interviewing is done. I’m really relaxed and focused.’

Usyk said: ‘Let’s make history. Enough.’

The next day, there was plenty of confusion after Usyk‘s weight was incorrectly announced as 233lbs at the weigh-in on Friday.

Usyk would have weighed in 12.6lbs heavier than his last fight against Daniel Dubois back in August 2023.

Ring announcer Michael Buffer had reportedly misheard the weight officials had said after Usyk had taken to the scales, leading to the wrong figure being announced.

Oleksandr Usyk or Tyson Fury: Boxing personalities place their bet

Video footage of the weigh in on social media revealed the officials had actually announced that Usyk had weighed in at 223lbs.

A number of sport’s biggest stars are set to be in attendance on the night – including the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Anthony Joshua and Steven Gerrard.

Joshua is set to be an interested observer after winning his last four fights, knowing that he could potentially face the winner in the next 12 months.

The British star will be sat next to Ronaldo, who has shown himself to be a keen boxing fan over the years.

Fury is guaranteed £81.5million from the ‘Ring Of Fire’ clash, meanwhile Usyk is set to pocket £35million from the bout in Saudi Arabia.

The sum will see the Gypsy King rise up the Forbes ranking of the world’s highest paid athletes.

The 35-year-old was placed at 42nd on the business magazine’s list for 2024 ahead of his bid to hold of all the available world titles.

Saturday’s fight is Fury’s second straight contest in Saudi Arabia after his showdown with UFC star turned boxer Francis Ngannou last year, where the Gypsy King was reported to have banked £65m.

Usyk has also returned to the Saudi Arabia, the scene of his second win over Anthony Joshua in 2022. The contest was one of four Joshua fights to have taken place in the nation.

The Briton has benefited significantly from the wealth Saudi Arabia has poured into the sport. Joshua was estimated to have secured a staggering £39m sum when he brutally dispatched Ngannou in March.

Fury will be the next big beneficiary, with the 35-year-old believed to have secured a 70 per cent purse split as the WBC title holder bids to take the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO belts from Usyk.

Two black eyes… but no broken jaw! Oleksandr Usyk shows off battle scars of his fight with Tyson Fury – after the Gypsy King falsely claimed he’d smashed his jaw – as he flies home from Saudi Arabia

Oleksandr Usyk gave fans a closer look as his battle scars from his heavyweight title fight with Tyson Fury before beginning his journey home from Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

Usyk became the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world on Saturday night after a thrilling split decision victory over Fury in Riyadh.

Two judges scored the fight in favour of the Ukrainian while the third had it for Fury.

The victory saw Usyk claim Fury’s WBC strap to the first unified champion of the four belt era.

It was a fight that saw both men have their moments with the victor still having to be taken to hospital afterwards, Fury claiming that he had suffered a broken jaw,

However, this has been dismissed by Usyk’s team and The Cat has taken to Instagram to show off his surface level damage, including two black eyes, bruised knuckles and a stitched eyebrow.

The Ukrainian then shared a video of himself boarding an Emirates flight home with his wife on Tuesday.

The newly-crowned champion was told to miss his post-fight press conference by his promoter, Alex Krassyuk, who was himself informed by the doctor that Usyk needed to go to hospital.

But the Ukrainian, insisting that fans needed to hear from him, chose to talk to the media before heading to hospital in the ambulance. No update on Usyk’s exact injury has yet been revealed.

Usyk had been forced to battle through the early stages of fight as Fury took control in the opening rounds.

The 37-year-old fought his way back into the contest and delivered a barrage of punches to leave Fury floundering in the ninth round.

Fury came through being rocked in the ninth to finish the contest, but Usyk emerged as the winner.

Usyk is set to be the undisputed heavyweight champion for only a matter of the weeks.

He is expected to be stripped of his IBF title, with the 37-year-old instead focusing on a contracted rematch with Fury, which is expected to take place around October.

Travis Kelce reveals his prediction for Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson – and immediately regrets his pick to win it!

Travis Kelce has revealed his prediction for the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight in July, but immediately regretted his pick as he’s unsure the bout will end in a knockout.

Walking the red carpet at his Kelce Jam Festival in Kansas City, last Saturday, the 34-year-old, three-time Super Bowl champion gave his prognosis on boxing’s biggest fight this summer in Dallas, Texas.

Mike Tyson or Jake Paul? Who wins that one?’ asked sports journalist ‘The Schmo’.

‘Man, it’s going on right now, isn’t it?’ Travis replied before he was reminded that the fight is actually taking place on July 20.

‘I’m taking the Cleveland kid even though Mike is… gaw-lee, I feel silly for saying that, but I’ll take Jake with the youth,’ Kelce, who’s also from C-Town, added.

He was then asked if he thinks Paul will win by knockout.

‘I don’t know about a knockout…’ the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said. ‘Are they allowed to knock each other out?’

‘Yes, they are!’ replied ‘The Schmo’. ‘Real fight.’

Suddenly excited by the matchup, Kelce said: ‘I don’t know about the knockout man. I’ve never seen Mike get knocked out.’

Despite Tyson delivering countless of knockout victories throughout his career, he’s also experienced the adversity of being taken out cold.

Over the course of his 58 fights, Tyson suffered five knockout losses, three of which occurred in title fights.

What’s more is that last week, Tyson revealed that Paul gave him ‘an erection’ during both boxers’ pre-fight press conference.

He also called the former Disney star ‘fat’ as he continues to train ahead of the bout in two months’ time.

Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter offers injury update after Ukrainian was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken jaw following undisputed world heavyweight title fight win over Tyson Fury

Oleksandr Usyk has not suffered a broken jaw from his fight with Tyson Fury despite reports claiming he had.

Usyk was rushed to hospital after the fight for urgent medical treatment, with Fury claiming he had broken his jaw.

However, Alex Krassyuk, who is the 37-year-old’s promoter, rubbished the speculation, revealing that Usyk was merely checked as a precaution, before adding that he should be back to full fitness in no time.

However, Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk revealed he was only sent to undergo tests on his jaw

‘Nothing major (is wrong with him),’ Krassyuk told Boxing King Media. ‘So he went to the hospital after the press conference.

‘And they made the exams and it’s something like a one-week recovery. No broken jaw and thank God he is safe and sound.’

Krassyuk had informed reporters on Saturday night that Usyk would not be conducting his press conference due to the potential injury, before the Ukrainian ended up turning up anyway.

And the promoter opened up on what happened in the immediate aftermath of the fight.

‘When we went to the locker room, the local doctor came up to inspect,’ he added.

‘And Usyk felt some discomfort in his upper jaw and the doctor said anything could happen and this is a very sensitive area so you need to be inspected as fast as possible.

‘The doctor insisted it has to happen very fast and I came up to Usyk and said, “listen, we need to skip press conference because the doctor is pushing us hard and we need to go as soon as possible, the ambulance is prepared for the drive”.

‘But Usyk said “guys, listen we need to comply with our obligations, we have the press conference, let’s go to the hospital after the press conference”.

Usyk still appeared at his post-fight press conference, despite Krassyuk having told reporters he wouldn't, which came after a doctor insisted he went to hospital as soon as possible

‘Then, again after more discussions with the doctor, (it was decided) we can’t go to the press conference because the doctor is pushing.’

He continued: ‘So I was the one who went to the press conference and I apologised for Usyk not showing up.

‘And I was walking back because I wanted to get the car to the hospital to join him. And suddenly I see Usyk walking and my impression was they were walking to car to go to the hospital and then our security guy goes “no, no it’s a press conference”.

‘(So I thought) OK welcome back. Probably the narrative about his broken jaw was brought by Tyson (Fury) and Frank (Warren) at the press conference.’

New footage has emerged showing the true extent of Tyson Fury‘s condition after he was almost knocked out by Oleksandr Usyk in round nine of their heavyweight unification bout.

Usyk knocked the Brit down during the ninth round of their undisputed heavyweight bout on Saturday night, before going on to claim a split-decision victory over the British fighter.

Two judges scored the fight 115-113 and 114-113 in Usyk’s favour, while the final judge gave the fight to Fury 114-113.

The Ukrainian fighter was subsequently crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion champion of the world for the first time in the four-belt era – and became the first fighter to hold all the belts in the division since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

While Fury appeared to control the pace of the fight in the opening rounds, Usyk would rally late on, notably causing blood to pour from Fury’s nose after striking him on the face several times.

During the ninth round, the Ukrainian unloaded a flurry of punches on the British boxer, unsteadying him while forcing him onto the ropes. Fury appeared to stagger and fell onto the ropes to support himself, with Usyk being given the knockdown.

The newly-crowned undisputed champion has now shared ringside footage from that exchange that shows Fury was seriously struggling to stay on his feet.

The Ukrainian initially rocked Fury with a left hook that landed plum on the chin to send the Gypsy King dancing across the ring.
