King Charles made ‘disappointed’ admission after Prince Harry’s birth that floored Diana

Princess Diana made a sensational claim about her husband, then-Prince Charles, and his strong words after Prince Harry was born.

Prince Harry says Princess Diana would be ‘sad’ about William rift

King Charles was reportedly “disappointed” at Prince Harry’s arrival for one particular reason, according to claims made by Princess Diana in her tape recordings.

Charles and Diana’s youngest child Harry was born in London on September 15 1984, two years and three months after his older brother Prince William.

In tapes recorded by Diana, which were turned into an official biography by Andrew Morton in 1992, she said that her husband’s words had caused real upset in the Spencer family.

She said: “At Harry’s christening, Charles went up to Mummy [Queen Elizabeth] and said ‘we’re so disappointed, we wanted a girl’ and Mummy snapped his head off and said ‘you should realise you are lucky to have a child that’s normal’.”

Diana added that this exchange impacted the King’s relationship with his mother negatively, explaining: “Ever since that day, the shutters have come down. That’s what he does when he gets somebody answering back at him.”

Mr Morton revealed how taken aback he was by the contents of the tapes, saying: “I felt I’d been transported into a parallel universe.

“The Princess was talking about her unhappiness, her sense of betrayal, her suicide attempts — and two things I’d never previously heard of: an eating disorder called bulimia nervosa and a woman called Camilla.”

Diana and Charles eventually separated in 1992, the same year the biography was published, with their divorce officially being finalised in 1996.

In his memoir Spare, published in 2023, the Duke of Sussex took aim at his father’s parenting style, particularly after the death of Diana in 1997.

He recalled that being a single parent was something Charles was “never made for”, admitting “he tried”, but had ultimately “always given an air of being not quite ready for parenthood – the responsibilities, the patience, the time.” He claimed that even King Charles “would’ve admitted as much”.

However royal expert Ingrid Seward later defended the King and his parenting skills, as she told OK! magazine: “He’s really got it in for his father’s parenting. What Harry fails to remember is that Charles had an appointment in his diary every 20 minutes, like the Queen did.

“He scheduled time with his children and he took them to things like the polo and skiing, and he did gardening and taught them all about plants. He did that kind of fathering.”

Ms Seward believes the feud between Harry and the rest of the royals would have been upsetting for his mother, adding: “Diana used to say, ‘Harry’s the naughty one just like me’, but Diana was far more sensitive to people’s feelings than Harry is.

“She wouldn’t have been so outspoken because she wouldn’t want to hurt William. I imagine that Diana would be very unhappy with the way Harry has spoken about his brother.

“And also I think that Diana felt it was her exclusive right to attack her husband but certainly not her children’s right to attack their father.”

How Prince William has finally ‘disowned’ estranged Harry

A royal expert has discussed whether Prince Harry’s latest trip to Nigeria had any impact on his older brother, Prince William.

Jennie Bond: Hard for William and Harry to ‘patch’ relationship

The Prince of Wales has finally “disowned” his estranged brother, Prince Harry and doesn’t give him a “thought,” a royal expert has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex alongside wife Meghan Markle spent three days last weekend in Nigeria to promote mental health for soldiers and empower young people.

Many viewed Harry and Meghan’s unofficial royal tour as highly successful with reports suggesting that the royals, particularly Prince William, are feeling uncomfortable about the trip.

But royal commentator Jennie Bond dismissed any such claims and was adamant that Harry is the least of William’s worries.

She told Times Radio: “I think as far as William is concerned, Harry really doesn’t exist. William has enough pressure on his heart and his head, with his wife [Princess of Wales] and her ongoing cancer treatment, and his father [King Charles, his job and his kids that I don’t think he’s got any room in his soul to worry about his estranged brother…I think William has disowned Harry.”

The reasons behind Meghan Markle’s “summer of love” PR blitz have been laid bare by a royal commentator after the Duchess of Sussex topped a poll of the most disliked celebrities of 2024. Meghan’s ranking comes after a highly-placed source to the Daily Express revealed the royal is ready to launch a charm offensive to win fans for her new project, American Riviera Orchard.

The Duchess of Sussex was placed number one on Ranker.com’s list of this year’s “most disliked” celebrities, garnering 27,746 votes compared with second place Prince Harry, who has to date received 24,367.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield, sharing her analysis in YouTube podcast Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered, said: “Most royalists view American actress Meghan Markle as the disruptive influence on the British royals.

“She’s been criticised for not adhering to royal protocols and traditions, which some view as disrespectful to the monarchy.”

Ms Schofield pointed to critics who she said describe Meghan as “inauthentic” and “self-serving”, seeing her actions and statements as “attention-seeking” or “self-promotion”.

The US based presenter said Meghan has maintained her position at the top of Ranker’s list and this “likely influenced” her “Summer of Love” PR push.

Ms Schofield pointed to Harry’s calls for privacy while exposing private details about himself and members of the Royal Family in his memoir as well as support for green projects but taking private flights as possible reasons behind the Duke’s unpopularity.

Ranker’s popularity survey compares with pollster YouGov’s where philanthropist Meghan is listed in 13th place at the time of writing, with 26 percent of those polled viewing her favourably.

The Princess of Wales may have kept up with a new report on her ‘life’s work’ but will only return to public duties on one condition, according to Kensington Palace sources.

Royal fans were delighted today to hear the news the Princess of Wales was “excited” after her business taskforce released a landmark report which claimed that the UK could reap £45.5 billion in economic benefits if firms prioritise early childhood.

The latest update sparked hope about whether Princess Kate could return to public duties in the near future.

However, Kensington Palace clarified that while Kate had been “kept fully up to date throughout the process” of producing the report, it “should not be seen as the Princess of Wales returning to work”.

Sources added that the future Queen will only return to work once her doctors give her the “green light”.

The Princess of Wales has been absent from royal engagements since last December, when she appeared with the rest of the Royal Family on Christmas Day.

Kate was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer earlier this year and is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy for it.

The princess launched her long-term campaign Shaping Us in January last year, described as her “life’s work”, and aimed at highlighting the crucial first five years of a child’s life.

She has been working to raise the profile of the early years development of children for some years and established her centre in 2021 as part of the Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Now the Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood has produced a report recommending a range of interventions from creating a culture inside and outside firms that prioritises childhood to supporting parents with greater resources and flexibility in the workplace.

Among the eight-member taskforce are the chief executives of Ikea, NatWest Group and Deloitte – and their report highlights how the nation could benefit from an estimated £45.5 billion.

The amount could be achieved by equipping youngsters with social and emotional skills, supporting parents wanting to return to work, and reducing the need to spend public funds on those who experienced difficult childhoods which might have been avoided through preventative action in early childhood.

Christian Guy, executive director of the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, briefed Kate on the new report she has read, and said she was “excited” by the document.

He said: “Shaping Us was about awareness but also for her it’s so important to have action.

“So to have eight of the most significant businesses in Britain come forward, make the case to their fellow business leaders is vital – it’s exciting for her and it’s a priority going forward for our centre’s work.”

  • Meghan and Harry’s Plan To Destroy the British Monarchy Didn’t Count on This Happening

Meghan and Harry’s Plan To Destroy the British Monarchy Didn’t Count on This Happening

Meghan and Harry’s Plan To Destroy the British Monarchy Didn’t Count on This Happening

After months of uncertainty, Prince Harry has decided to attend the coronation of his father, King Charles III, at Westminster Abbey on May 6th. However, his wife, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, will not be present and will remain in Montecito, California. Harry’s visit to London is expected to be brief, and it comes amid increasing tensions with his brother, Prince William, and his wife, the Princess of Wales. Reports from London suggest that many members of the royal family will be keeping their distance from Harry, who has been increasingly critical of the royals following the release of his controversial memoir, “Spare.”

Both Harry and Meghan have seen a significant decline in popularity in the United Kingdom since the release of “Spare” and their highly publicized Netflix documentary, which debuted last November. In fact, they have become two of the most disliked celebrity figures in the UK today. Their standing has also taken a hit in the United States, where the satirical show “South Park” delivered a scathing parody of the royal couple in a recent episode.

The decision by Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, not to attend the coronation of King Charles III can be attributed to several factors. One significant consideration was the potential risk of facing public backlash or negative reactions on the streets of London, which could have had a detrimental impact on her public image and brand. Additionally, the prospect of being relegated to a secondary status as “non-working royals” during the coronation celebrations, which would have denied them the privilege of appearing on the Buckingham Palace balcony, likely played a role in her decision.

It is worth noting that the relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the British monarchy has experienced a significant strain over the past year. Their criticisms and allegations against the royal family have faced substantial backlash and negative reactions from both the British and American public. Furthermore, their increasing involvement in political activism has alienated a significant portion of the American population.

The situation surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has taken a significant turn, with growing calls in London, including from some members of Parliament, to strip them of their royal titles. While King Charles III has not publicly addressed this issue, reports suggest that discussions have taken place at the highest levels of the palace.

The rift between the Sussexes and the royal family can be traced back to their controversial 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, which was perceived as a declaration of war against the monarchy. Their unproven allegations of racism within the royal household have been harmful to the institution and have resulted in significant tensions between them and other royals.

Consequently, Harry and Meghan find themselves almost completely isolated from the larger royal family and are viewed as pariahs by a significant portion of the British public. While the king has extended an olive branch by including Harry in the coronation, there is no sign of reconciliation between him and his brother, Prince William.

The situation highlights the ongoing challenges and complexities surrounding the royal family’s dynamics and public perception.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have effectively severed ties with the British royal family and their future involvement appears highly unlikely. Despite retaining their royal titles and the associated prestige, they have essentially become exiles residing in California. Their primary focus now seems to be on building substantial personal wealth through various media deals and production ventures, potentially becoming part of the Montecito elite.

However, their standing within the British monarchy is expected to be negligible. Any aspirations they may have had to undermine the thousand-year-old institution of the monarchy have proven unsuccessful, and are unlikely to succeed in the future. The Harry and Meghan saga can be viewed as a modern-day tragedy, a narrative characterized by narcissism, hubris, and greed. It represents the unfortunate downfall of a once-beloved couple who have burned bridges on both sides of the Atlantic in pursuit of a contentious vendetta.

Meghan Markle past revealed: Meghan had this strange side job before she met Harry

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is widely known for her acting career, particularly her role as Rachel Zane in the legal drama series “Suits.” However, before achieving fame, she had an unusual side job that many may not be aware of. Prior to her rise to prominence, Meghan Markle took on an unexpected job to supplement her income.

While pursuing her acting aspirations, the 37-year-old Duchess worked as a calligrapher, a skilled craft involving the artistic handwriting of calligraphic lettering. This lesser-known occupation provided her with a source of income during her early days as an aspiring actress. Meghan’s talent for calligraphy allowed her to earn money through various calligraphic projects and commissions.

Despite her current status as a member of the British royal family, Meghan Markle’s journey to success was not without its challenges. Like many aspiring artists and performers, she had to take on alternative jobs to support herself financially while chasing her dreams in the entertainment industry. Her experience as a calligrapher serves as a reminder of the perseverance and determination required to achieve success in highly competitive fields.

The former American actress, Meghan Markle, is widely recognized for her diverse talents, but one particular skill remains relatively unknown. Beyond her acting career and her former lifestyle blog “The Tig,” Meghan possessed a remarkable talent for calligraphy and fancy handwriting.

Interestingly, Meghan had to discontinue her passion project, “The Tig,” six months after announcing her relationship with Prince Harry in 2017. However, her affinity for words extended beyond the digital realm, as she professionally employed her calligraphic skills in the physical world, putting pen to paper.

This lesser-known facet of Meghan’s abilities highlights her versatility and artistic inclinations, showcasing a multifaceted individual with a penchant for creative expression through various mediums.

    Meghan’s unusual side hustle revealed

In a 2016 interview with Good Housekeeping, Meghan Markle revealed that she had a unique talent as a professional calligrapher. The Duchess of Sussex used to handwrite invitations and place cards for weddings and events as a side job while pursuing her acting career. When asked about any hidden talents, Meghan told Good Housekeeping, “I used to be a calligrapher for weddings and events — that was my side job while I was auditioning.”

She expressed her appreciation for the art of handwritten notes, stating, “I think handwritten notes are a lost art form. When I booked my first pilot, my dad wrote me a letter that I still have. The idea of someone taking the time to put pen to paper is really special.” Although Meghan may be modest about her artistic abilities, she has written invitations for a string of celebrity clients, showcasing her calligraphic skills.

Prior to her breakthrough role in the TV series Suits, Meghan Markle had a lesser-known job as a calligrapher. Five years before her big break, she was commissioned to create the invitations for the wedding of singer Robin Thicke and actress Paula Patton. Patton later praised Meghan’s work, describing her calligraphy as “flawless.” In an interview with Town and Country magazine, Patton stated, “I just thought Meghan did a beautiful job.” She further appreciated the art form, saying, “It really is a lost art, and it was so nice to create something without a device that doesn’t use a battery or need to be plugged in.”

Meghan Markle has expressed her admiration for the impeccable handwriting skills of her former calligraphy teacher. She recounted being in awe of her teacher’s flawless penmanship, describing it as “truly perfect” and “impeccable.” Markle revealed that she acquired her own calligraphy skills at a young age, attending an all-girls Catholic school where handwriting classes were part of the curriculum. She acknowledged her natural inclination for mastering cursive writing, stating, “I’ve always had a propensity for getting the cursive down pretty well.” Markle’s comments shed light on her early exposure to and appreciation for the art of calligraphy.

Embrace the unexpected paths that life presents, for they often lead to extraordinary destinations. What began as a humble pursuit to sustain oneself during the audition process blossomed into a remarkable journey of artistic expression through calligraphy. This experience serves as a powerful reminder that our true calling may unveil itself in the most unanticipated ways.

  • Are Kate Middleton and Prince William going to have a fourth baby?

Are Kate Middleton and Prince William going to have a fourth baby?

Are Kate Middleton and Prince William going to have a fourth baby?

Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales, currently have three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. As the royal couple continues to balance their public duties with family life, many have speculated about the possibility of them expanding their family further.

While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have not explicitly ruled out having a fourth child, their recent comments suggest they may be content with their current family size. In a previous interview, Kate Middleton expressed her appreciation for the joys of parenthood but also acknowledged the challenges of raising three young children.

Prince William, on the other hand, has hinted at the potential for more children, stating that having a fourth child would be “wonderful” but also recognizing the significant responsibility it entails.

It’s worth noting that the royal couple has not made any definitive statements regarding future pregnancies. As with any family planning decision, it remains a personal matter that they will likely consider carefully, taking into account various factors, including their ages, responsibilities, and overall well-being.

Regardless of whether they choose to have another child or not, Prince William and Kate Middleton have consistently demonstrated their commitment to providing a loving and nurturing environment for their three children, while also fulfilling their royal duties with grace and dedication.

The question of whether Kate Middleton and Prince William are planning to have a fourth child has been a topic of speculation. While their future family plans remain uncertain, the royal couple has dropped contradictory hints over the past year.

Earlier in 2023, during a visit to the organization Baby Bank, Kate Middleton appeared to suggest that their family is complete. When folding baby clothes with the CEO, Rebecca Mistry, Kate admitted, “I’ve been there, done that,” implying she does not intend to have more children.

However, in 2022, Prince William hinted at the possibility of another child. During a visit to Church on the Street in Lancashire, Kate was seen cooing over a baby, prompting William to jokingly remark to the parents, “Don’t give my wife any more ideas,” suggesting Kate might have been feeling broody.

These contrasting statements from the couple have fueled speculation about their family plans. While Kate’s recent comment seems to confirm their family is complete with three children, Prince William’s previous remark leaves room for uncertainty.

As with many aspects of royal life, the decision to expand their family remains a private matter for the couple. Only time will reveal whether Prince William and Kate Middleton will welcome a fourth child or consider their family complete as it is.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has been open about her desire for a fourth child, despite her husband Prince William’s initial hesitation. In January 2020, during an engagement in Yorkshire, Kate reportedly told someone, “I don’t think William wants any more.”

However, in October of the same year, a source claimed to US Weekly that Kate was trying to convince William to have another baby, stating, “Kate has been talking about wanting another baby for a while now. She has always wanted four children, and while William was originally happy with three, she has managed to twist his arm.” While the couple has not officially confirmed or denied these reports, it provides insight into their family planning discussions and Kate’s aspiration for a larger family.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have three children. Their firstborn, Prince George Alexander Louis, was born on July 22, 2013, and is currently 10 years old. Two years later, on May 2, 2015, they welcomed their daughter, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, who is now 8 years old. Their youngest child, Prince Louis Arthur Charles, was born on April 23, 2018, and is currently 5 years old.

‘Insulted’ Kate Middleton has ‘closed her mind’ to healing Harry and Meghan rift – expert

The ongoing rift between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and the Prince and Princess of Wales has become a subject of intense scrutiny and analysis. According to royal experts, the situation has reached a point where Prince William and Kate Middleton have seemingly closed their minds to the possibility of reconciliation in the near future.

Jennie Bond, a former BBC royal correspondent, suggests that Kate, coming from a happy and united family, initially believed the rift could be mended. However, after Prince Philip’s funeral, where Kate was seen encouraging William to engage with Harry, a heated argument ensued, dashing hopes of reconciliation.

Bond further states that Kate has been deeply hurt and insulted by the accusations and remarks made by Harry and Meghan in Harry’s memoir “Spare” and subsequent interviews. This includes Harry’s claims of Kate stereotyping Meghan and details of a disagreement over bridesmaids’ dresses that left Meghan in tears.

Another royal expert, Katie Nicholl, echoes similar sentiments, stating that Harry’s “snide remarks” about Kate have ruined their bond and broken a major royal rule of staying silent on family matters. Nicholl claims that Kate is “very disappointed” by Harry’s attacks, leading to a complete breakdown of their relationship.

The experts suggest that William and Kate, as a strong team, have concluded that the rift with Harry cannot be fixed in the foreseeable future. They have decided to move forward with their lives and duties, effectively closing their minds to the possibility of immediate reconciliation.

“While Kate and Harry used to be very, very close, there’s been a complete breakdown of that relationship. I don’t think Kate does angry. I think it is more a case of feeling very disappointed, very let down and feeling hurt knowing that she had no right of reply – and Harry knew full well she had no right of reply.

“I do know that William was very angry that Harry had drawn Kate into it when he felt Kate was blameless throughout. She acted very much as the peacekeeper, she tried to get the brothers back on an even keel and for Kate to be dragged into this mucky saga was upsetting for her and certainly did infuriate William.”

Special royal title Kate Middleton’s mum Carole will miss out on when she becomes Queen

Special royal title Kate Middleton’s mum Carole will miss out on when she becomes Queen

The increasing prominence of Carole Middleton, the mother of the Princess of Wales, in royal events is noteworthy. Despite not being a royal herself, her attendance at high-profile occasions like King Charles’s coronation and Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, which had limited guest lists, underscores her importance to the future of the Royal Family. However, it is important to clarify that even when Prince William and Kate become King and Queen Consort, Carole Middleton will not hold the title of “Queen Mother.”

The title “Queen Mother” is specifically reserved for the mother of the current monarch and the widow of the former King. The most recent example is Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the mother of Queen Elizabeth II and wife of King George VI, who passed away in 2022. While Carole Middleton will be the mother of a Queen, she is not a member of the Royal Family herself, and therefore, she will not be granted the special title of “Queen Mother.”

The line of succession and royal titles hold specific protocols. Queen Camilla will not hold the title of Queen Mother if she is widowed when Prince William ascends to the throne. Instead, she will be referred to as a Dowager Queen or Queen Dowager, which is the designation given to a former Queen Consort whose husband, the King, has passed away. The title of Queen Mother is reserved for a Queen Dowager who is also the mother of the reigning monarch.

Furthermore, Carole Middleton, the mother of Catherine, Princess of Wales, is not expected to receive a title during King Charles’s reign or Prince William’s future reign. According to the Royal Family website, the monarch has the sole authority to confer titles of honor in the United Kingdom. However, new hereditary peerages are typically granted only to members of the Royal Family.

The Sun’s Arthur Edwards provides insightful information about Kate Middleton’s significance within the Royal Family and the potential honors her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, might receive.

Edwards explains that while it is possible for Carole Middleton to be granted a life peerage, it is not highly likely that Prince William would be advised to bestow this honor upon her. However, when Kate becomes Queen, she may choose to appoint her mother or sister Pippa as one of her Queen’s Companions, which would grant them a title, albeit not an official peerage or honor.

The article also provides background information on Kate Middleton’s parents. Michael Middleton, born in 1949 to a wealthy family with aristocratic ties, attended the prestigious Clifton College in Bristol. Carole Middleton, née Goldsmith, was born in 1955 in London to a relatively ordinary family and grew up in Southall.

Overall, the article informatively discusses the potential honors Kate Middleton’s parents might receive and provides context about their backgrounds, highlighting their rise to prominence after their daughter’s marriage to Prince William.

The couple, Michael and Carole Middleton, met while working as cabin crew for British Airways. They went on to exchange wedding vows in 1980 at the Church of St James in Dorney, Buckinghamshire.

In 1987, the Middletons ventured into entrepreneurship by launching their own business, Party Pieces, after Carole recognized an opportunity in creating party bags. Through their dedication and hard work, they successfully grew Party Pieces into a multi-million-pound enterprise.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent restrictions posed significant challenges to the business. In April 2023, Party Pieces sought the assistance of restructuring firm Interpath to explore options for raising fresh funds. Ultimately, the family decided to move on from the company, and in May 2023, Party Pieces was sold in a pre-package deal to the Essex-based entrepreneur James Sinclair.

Through their entrepreneurial journey with Party Pieces, Michael and Carole Middleton transformed themselves into self-made millionaires, showcasing their business acumen and perseverance.

The business owned by Carole Middleton, Kate’s mother, was estimated to be worth £30 million at the time of Kate’s wedding to Prince William in 2011, according to DailyMail.com. However, as of 2024, it is believed that the couple has a combined net worth exceeding £54 million.

Prince William may consider appointing Carole to the Royal Victorian Order, an honor personally awarded by the Sovereign for services rendered to them. Queen Elizabeth appointed Kate and several other royals to this Order. If Carole provides significant support to Prince William when he becomes King, he could bestow this honor upon her. Nevertheless, it is most likely that Carole will retain her title as Mrs. Carole Middleton and continue to play a crucial role in the lives of Prince William, Kate, and their three children – George, Charlotte, and Louis.
