EVANDER HOLYFIELD revealed he will use the same tactics deployed in his two wins against Mike Tyson to do the treble over his great rival.

The 57-year-old twice beat Iron Mike, firstly in 1996 and then a year later – which became infamous for Tyson biting a chunk of Holyfield’s ear before being disqualified.

And they could be ready to do it all again having both announced shock comebacks to box in exhibition bouts for charity.

Holyfield reckons a mix of front-foot boxing, body shots and a fearless approach will be the ticket for a hat-trick of wins over 53-year-old Tyson.

He told the BBC: “I always liked to come forward, everyone thought I was gonna run from Mike, I wanted him to know I wasn’t going anywhere, that was the whole big thing.

“I felt that I had quicker hands than Mike, I felt I had the reach. I got to hit him a couple of times, when you start hitting people they start changing.

“Mike even said himself, ‘Everyone’s got a plan until they get hit’. I’m one of those fighters that got hit a lot of times by some good shots, but I can take it.

“The point of the matter was Mike didn’t get hit a lot because people were kinda timid with Mike. With me I wasn’t timid, I realised he was going to hit me but I had the right to hit him back.

“The art of the game was to let him know that he chose the wrong person this time, because if he’s gonna get me he’s gonna have to out-work me.

“The thing is I had already made up my mind that I would get the last punch so when he goes back to the corner I wanted him to think about how hard I hit him. I didn’t want to go back thinking about how hard he hit me.

“I knew that was part of the gameplan, you’ve got to push him, you’ve got to beat him to the punch.

“Mike liked hitting people to the body but Mike didn’t like getting hit to the body. I know that, things that people tend to do to their opponent they don’t like it to happen to them.

“When I saw I hit Mike to the body, I knew it would slow him down.”

Holyfield, who has not fought since 2011, has started training ahead of his ring return and has even brought in former world champions Wladimir Klitschko and Antonio Tarver to help.

Tyson retired in 2005, but reckons he feels in the prime of his life having spent the last two months training.

No offers for remarkable trilogy have yet been made, though both heavyweight legends have stated they are ready to face each other for a third time.

MIKE TYSON says he is ready to fight ANYONE as he gets set for a sensational boxing return.

The 53-year-old has undergone a stunning body transformation and is back in training ahead of a ring return.

The most likely opponent appears to be Evander Holyfield in what would be a mouthwatering trilogy fight.

Holyfield is 2-0 up on Tyson including that infamous DQ victory when Iron Mike bit a chunk out of his ear.

The Real Deal, four years Tyson’s senior at 57, has also announced he will lace the gloves again.

Fellow US heavyweight Shannon Briggs and even Tyson Fury’s dad John are two others who fancy a crack at the man who terrorised heavyweight boxing through the 1980s and 90s.

Speaking about his stunning new look, Tyson told TMZ Sports: “I am just having fun looking good, showing off my new body, anything is possible.

“My ego is starting to get elated, but we will see. There are a lot of things to hope for in the future.”

He went on to explain that a charity fight against Holyfield seems likely, but that he would be prepared to fight anyone who wanted to challenge him.

He added: “Listen there are a lot of people out there who need help, and something like that could help a lot of people who need help.

“That’s just basically pretty much what I embark on, a life of charity and gratitude.

“I don’t know if Evander and me are going to get in the ring, arch-enemies, doing it for the humanity of people, less fortunate than ourselves.

“What would that be like? That is something that has not been done by any entertainer any sports figure in the history of sports and entertainment.

A bombshell German documentary is set to expose new secrets about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The high-profile TV production will once again shine a spotlight on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The documentary, directed by seasoned Royal Family journalist Ulrike Grunewald, is being produced for Germany’s ZDF network.

 

It’s expected to look a bit different to the couple’s 2022 Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, which shared recent events in their lives through their own eyes.

Grunewald has jetted off to California with a team of five, including respected London producer Mo Davies, to gather insights in Montecito, where the Royal couple rub shoulders with other A-listers just north of Hollywood.

Among those interviewed is Richard Mineards, a former Fleet Street Royal reporter who now writes for The Montecito Journal. In his latest column, he revealed: “Los Angeles-based producer, Melanie Hillmann grilled me for two hours on my Riven Rock neighbours, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, under director Ulrike Grunewald. The interview is airing in due course as part of a prime-time documentary on ZDF Royal.”

 

Grunewald, a well-known figure in German television and a presenter on the news programme Heute-Journal (Today-Journal), has been covering Royal affairs since 1987. Her first major assignment was reporting on then-Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s visit to Germany for ZDF.

The Scottish Daily Express reports that this expert, known for her knack of unearthing hidden truths and delivering sensational revelations about her subjects, has a string of notable documentaries under her belt. These include Princess Diana’s Dangerous Legacy, The Queen and the Power of Images; Fergie! reports the Express.

After earning her doctorate from the University of Mainz in 2012, she delved into academic research on the history of the British Royal Family. Her groundbreaking work opened doors to previously untouched documents in the Royal Archives housed within Windsor Castle.

Grunewald caught a glimpse of the Prince at the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf in September 2023. The expert observed: “Now that Meghan is here, he is over the moon. They have been holding hands, cheering competitors on at various matches and games. They seem intimate and very close. Either that or they are very good actors. From where I’ve been watching, they seem very in love.”

She further added: “It felt like the old Harry was back. He talked to all of us. We had some little toys that we gave for Archie and Lilibet. He said he was enjoying Germany and has a lot of German in him, he was obviously referring to his family heritage.”

Her followers applauded the quote with many saying “wise words” and others calling the picture “perfect”.

Cressida, an actress, dancer and model, could be expected to attend the wedding at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in May 2018.

Many people speculated their split could have been because Cressida struggled to deal with the attention of being the girlfriend of the Prince.

Artist Hannah Uzor’s portrait of Princess Kate faced backlash from critics due to its apparent lack of resemblance to the royal.

Hannah Uzor has spoken out after her portait of Princess Kate, which will feature on the cover of the next Tatler magazine, was branded “dreadful” and “jaw-hits-the-floor bad”.

The British-Zambian artist’s unofficial painting of the Princess was unveiled earlier this week and sparked an immediate backlash from critics and the public.

It captures Kate at the first state banquet of King Charles’s reign in 2022, which was held in honour of the South African President’s visit, and for which Kate wore a floor-length white caped Jenny Packham gown and her Lover’s Knot tiara.

Royal fans questioned how much it resembled the Princess, with one commenting online: “Lol! Look absolutely nothing like her, though!” and another saying: “What a terrible terrible portrait of the Princess of Wales!!! Who allowed that to be on the front cover??? Even published by Tatler!!!”

But Ms Uzor seemed unfazed as she told the Daily Mail she was not aware of any negative response from the public, adding: “It is a fantastic story – and they [critics] can do what they want.”

The potrait is an unofficial one, meaning it was not commissioned by the Royal Family and Kate did not sit for it, with Ms Uzor instead researching more than 189,000 pictures of her to create the work.

The green-blue background is a nod to Kate’s eye colour as well as a reference to being outside and on water, supposedly to reflect the royal’s love of rowing.

When speaking to Tatler the artist was asked whether Kate’s recent cancer diagnosis had given her a new perspective on painting her, to which she responded: “Without a doubt.”

Ms Uzor explained: “All my portraits are made up of layers of a personality, constructed from everything I can find about them.”

The artist said that Kate’s diagnosis video, released on March 22, showed “a moment of dealing with something difficult, speaking from the heart, having the courage to tackle it head-on”.

Her admiration for the Princess was clear, as she told the publication: “She has really risen up to her role – she was born for this. She carries herself with such dignity, elegance and grace.

“I sense with her the joy of motherhood.”

Kate has been away from royal duties since the start of the year and is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy, with the news coming less than two months after the King’s own cancer was revealed.

He has begun to make a return to public life although his treatment is still ongoing, with Queen Camilla saying he is “thrilled” to be back at work.

Speaking at a reception at Buckingham Palace the Queen added she has been “trying to hold him back”, although recent news of the general election means that certain royal engagements will have to be postponed.
