  • Meghan is in many ways Harry’s superior

Meghan is in many ways Harry’s superior

Meghan Markle is ‘very much Prince Harry’s superior,’ royal expert says

A leading royal expert says Meghan “is in many ways Harry’s superior — she’s more intelligent, more together, more strong-willed.”

If there’s such a thing as being “disturbingly self-confident,” a royal expert claims that’s precisely what Meghan Markle is — and that she may be too eager to lead the charge in the royal family.

Lady Colin Campbell claims that not only is the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex self-assured, she is also possibly out of Prince Harry’s league — and bears more than a few parallels to the ginger prince’s late mother, Princess Diana.

“Being a mother, her position with the family will be much strengthened,” Campbell, a biographer of the British royals, told The independent of the pregnant former “Suits” actress. “Although there’s some concern among palace officials that she is already taking too much of a leadership role.”

Campbell said that Markle “is in many ways Harry’s superior — she’s more intelligent, more together, and more strong-willed.”

She also said Markle, who is of mixed race, is especially important to people of colour who are watching the royal family closely, but that she’s somewhat concerned about Markle falling prey to late Princess of Wales’ demons in the spotlight.

“We must hope that Meghan has no psychological instability — as Diana had — and won’t hit the buffers at any point, as Diana did,” Campbell said. However, the concern for Markle is lessened, Campbell said, because “Meghan is much better educated and more academic. Meghan is almost disturbingly self-confident.”

“We must hope she realises that her vision is not the only vision. Royals must represent all of the people, and all of the people cannot agree with your point of view,” Campbell added of the reportedly ambitious, openly feminist royal. “She should remember she’s not a political activist. There are many conservative people, all over the world, many religious people, who do not have these ‘woke’ and ‘right-on’ views.”

Campbell bluntly said Markle should sometimes “keep her mouth shut” and would be better off making “some adjustments to her personality and beliefs” and if she had “the modesty to understand that she’s in a unique role for hundreds of millions of people.”

Markle has been compared to Princess Diana before, and in less than flattering terms. Her reported courting of the press through pals, Hollywood ties and reputation for losing royal staffers has been likened to the “malice at the palace” that was attributed to the late Diana during her ill-fated marriage to Prince Charles.

  • Queen Camilla’s two words that will show how she feels about Prince Harry returning to UK

Queen Camilla’s two words that will show how she feels about Prince Harry returning to UK

Queen Camilla is not expected to respond favourably to Prince Harry’s invitation to reunite and sources say she is likely to give him short shrift and say she is not available for a get together

Queen Camilla is expected to give Prince Harry little of her time on his UK return

Queen Camilla is expected to use two words to show how she feels about Prince Harry returning to UK.

Harry has given an invitation to the service to Royal Family members. However, the occasion is the same day as a garden party at Buckingham Palace and royal experts is thought unlikely that many will attend. Camilla is expected to tell Prince Harry she is “otherwise engaged” when he returns for the Invictus Games 10th anniversary commemorative service on Wednesday. But the two simple words also give an indication of how she feels about the King’s youngest son.

Prince Harry may meet his father, but the Queen is said to be ‘not in a hurry’ to be reunited with her estranged stepson, sources say. According to the Express, the insider said: “Let’s just say that the Queen might be otherwise engaged. Although the King will have time in his diary for a brief visit, that hasn’t been confirmed yet due to the garden party schedule. Even if Harry does meet with his father, it is highly unlikely that Camilla will be in the same room.”

Harry last visited the UK in early February and came over for just one day after learning King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer. The two had a brief meeting at Clarence House in London, lasting less than 45 minutes, although it is not known whether Camilla was present. The source added: “Harry did the right thing by flying over in February. But it was very much a last minute surprise and was somewhat forced upon the household. The optics wouldn’t have been good if a meeting didn’t take place at that time.”

It is not expected that the Duke of Sussex will stay in London for long, as he and Meghan Markle have a trip to Nigeria planned for later in the month. If he does manage to meet his father it will be a brief encounter thanks to the King’s packed schedule, which includes his weekly meeting with the Prime Minister as well as the garden party.

The source explained: “Health permitting, the King is due to attend the garden party at Buckingham Palace on May 8. If a meeting with Harry were to take place it would have to be just before or after that.” They added: “There won’t be any special arrangements made for a meeting, but one could be squeezed into plans already in place.” Since his move to the US, the Duke has had a strained relationship with the rest of the Royal Family, with his and Meghan’s TV appearances and his book Spare worsened relations.

The couple had become notorious for dishing the dirt on the Royal Family, however their latest projects with Netflix suggest they are moving onto a new chapter. Meghan is said to be launching a new cooking and lifestyle programme in conjunction with American Riviera Orchard, while Harry is reportedly making a new series about competitive polo.

  • Serena let slip Meghan Markle 3rd baby’s gender

Serena let slip Meghan Markle 3rd baby’s gender

Did Serena Williams just reveal Harry and Meghan are expecting a girl?

There’s a very slim chance that Meghan Markle’s BFF, Serena Williams, just revealed the royal couple are expecting a baby girl.

The world is pretty excited about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s baby.

So much so that we’re all looking for clues wherever we can to get more details.

As speculation mounts on the royal bub and royal watchers are looking for signs any where and every where, it’s entirely possible that Serena Williams just accidentally revealed that Meghan is having a baby girl. Bombshell!

The tennis legend, who is best friends with Meghan, was being interviewed by E! about motherhood (Serena has a daughter, 1, called Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.).

The interviewer asked Serena what her best piece of advice for new mums would be, and she replied: “Accept the mistakes and don’t expect to be perfect. We put so much pressure on ourselves.

“My friend is pregnant and she’s like, ‘Oh, my kid is gonna do this …’ and I just looked at her and I was like, ‘No, she’s not’.”

So, did that answer reveal the sex of Meghan and Harry’s baby? DID IT?

OK, so we’re making two big assumptions here. The first being that the friend Serena was referring to was Meghan Markle. And second, that the sportswoman deliberately referred to the baby as “she” rather than it being a slip of the tongue.

    Here’s what we do know.

Serena and Meghan are so tight that the tennis star hosted the Duchesses baby shower in New York in February.

The shower was held at The Mark Hotel’s 10,000-square-foot, two-floor penthouse, which is said to go for $105,000 per night. The Mark’s chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten created a special menu for the party, and guests enjoyed a flower-arranging class.

US tennis player Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian arrive for the wedding ceremony of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

“They brought in somebody to explain how to arrange flowers,” Gayle King, who attended the shower, said on US TV.

“We all each made an individual base. And then Meghan … got in touch with an organisation I’ve never heard of, Repeat Roses, and all of those were donated to different charities.

“I thought that was a very sweet thing. It just speaks to who she is. She’s very kind, very generous,” King said.

As for when the baby is due, rumour has it the bub is expected to arrive later this month or early May.

It has been widely reported the Duchess of Sussex will eschew the fabled $13,700 Lindo Wing in favour of a hospital closer to the couple’s new pile, Frogmore Cottage.

The options are Princess Margaret Hospital, King Edward VII Hospital or Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey. Basically, they are all an easy dash from Frogmore Cottage when things start to happen.

  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drop huge hint about future plans despite William’s ‘fury’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drop huge hint about future plans despite William’s ‘fury’

Prince Harry and Meghan, off the back of their hugely successful trip to Nigeria, have dropped a major hint about what they have planned for the future, but a royal expert has claimed that this might make Prince William ‘furious’

Duke of Sussex Prince Harry (R) his wife Meghan Markle (L), Duchess of Sussex, visit the Lightway Academy in Abuja

Harry dropped a major hint about the Sussexes’ future plans

After Prince Harry recently visited the UK, he and his wife Meghan travelled to Nigeria together, where they spent several days on what some commentators have dubbed a “quasi-royal tour”. The couple have given a major hint about what some of their future plans may include, as Prince Harry discussed how the trip went in his view.

However, one royal expert has claimed to the Mirror that what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex potentially have lined may only make Prince William – with whom Harry has had a strained relationship for some years – further displeased. The expert also alleged the Prince of Wales is “furious” about his younger brother’s visit to Nigeria, which bore many of the hallmarks of an official royal visit, noting “Everything you might expect from an official royal visit was there.”

Speaking to People Magazine, Prince Harry dropped a major hint that there may well be more overseas trips planned in the future for him and his wife and that they fully intend to keep up their in-person visits. “It is hugely important for us to meet directly with people, supporting our causes and listening, in order to bring about solutions, support and positive change.

“There’s only so much one can do from home and over Zoom, so we look forward to travelling more because the work matters. Whether it’s the Archewell Foundation, Invictus, or any of our other causes, there will always be reasons to meet the people at the heart of our work.”

Harry’s comments come only weeks after sources close to William and Kate told the Daily Beast that William intends to adopt a more “hybrid” approach to his own work, incorporating virtual events into his schedule. “I’m sure that will mean doing more stuff online. He can ‘WFH’ and do hybrid working a bit. Frankly, it has more impact because it reaches many more people,” the anonymous friend was reported as saying.

A royal expert – author Tom Quinn – explained to the Mirror that Prince William was “furious” about Harry and Meghan’s recent visit to Nigeria. “William is absolutely furious and determined to find a way to stop this happening in future. Charles is said to be angrier than anyone has ever seen him,” the author claimed.

Quinn added “Everything you might expect from an official royal visit was there – the receptions, the visits to schools and charities, to wounded soldiers and the disabled. Meghan and Harry’s speeches and their whole attitude has been designed to give the impression that they are still fully paid-up royals and William and his father King Charles don’t like it one bit.

“For Charles and William, it’s as if Meghan and Harry are saying, ‘We don’t need your permission to be working royals – we will do it on our own terms whenever and wherever we like’.”

Prince Harry in ‘total estrangement’ from family as Invictus now ‘only thing linking him to UK’

A representative for Prince Harry said the Duke of Sussex understood his father was busy while he visited the UK, but royal author Tom Quinn said the statement issued hid ‘anger’

Prince Harry departs The Invictus Games Foundation 10th Anniversary Service at St Paul's Cathedral in London

Prince Harry is in “total estrangement” from the Royal Family as the Invictus Games are now his “only thing” linking him to the UK, one of his old Army friends has said.

The Duke of Sussex travelled to the UK to mark the 10th anniversary of the Games, which he founded in 2014, and attended a ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral in London. However, he was not joined by any senior royals and while it was previously thought Harry would meet his father, King Charles, during the trip, this did not happen.

Harry’s spokesperson said the Duke understood why his father was unable to fit a visit into his schedule, but according to royal expert and author Tom Quinn, a statement released earlier this week hid “a huge amount of awkwardness, anger, and bitterness.” Harry’s representative said on Tuesday: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.

“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.” Responding to the statement, Mr Tom Quinn, a royal expert and author, said the fact that Harry and his father did not meet shows “how damaged” their relationship is, as the pair have only met a handful of times since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US, where they now live with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The expert told us: “Harry’s well-publicised statement that he is not going to see his father because he is ‘understanding of his father’s commitments but hopes to see him some time’ may sound perfectly reasonable, but it masks a huge amount of awkwardness, anger, and bitterness. King Charles is stricken with cancer yet his son says they are not going to meet during this rare visit and talks vaguely of seeing his father ‘some time’.”

He added: “It’s a shocking statement and shows just how damaged the relationship is. Harry has hardly seen his father since he and Meghan left for America in 2020 and with his father seriously ill you might think his first port of call on returning to the UK would be Clarence House – quickly followed by a visit to his sister-in-law, Kate. But no.”

Mr Quinn mentioned one of Harry’s old Army friends who claimed: “The Invictus Games is just about the only thing that would have got him back in the country – and even then, it was touch and go. That’s how strongly he feels about even being in the same country as his father and brother. It’s total estrangement.”

Despite the news that Harry and Charles would not meet taking many by surprise, according to royal insiders, it is no shock that the King was reluctant to make room in his diary. The monarch is reportedly still waiting for an apology for the “drama” caused by his younger son and Meghan and views the Sussexes as a “painful distraction he could do without”.

According to a source close to the King, he is still reeling from the barrage of explosive claims Harry and Meghan have made about the Royal Family over the last couple of years. Speaking to the Daily Mail, they explained: “He doesn’t need the drama in his life,” adding: “Harry and Meghan have brought him, and the rest of the family, nothing but worries over the past few years.”

Following the King’s cancer diagnosis in February, Harry rushed to the UK and saw his father for around 30 minutes. He said he was “grateful” to see the monarch and declared: “I love my family.” He added: “The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him I’m grateful for that.”

When asked if the diagnosis could have a “reunifying effect” amid their feud, Harry said he is certain it will. “Yeah, I’m sure. Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together,” he told the host. However, Harry refused to discuss his father’s condition and said “that stays between me and him”.

According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, even though Harry and Charles did not meet on this occasion, it is possible that they will see each other soon. He told Express.co.uk: “I would have thought one is likely to be planned, given that King Charles has a serious illness, though he is displaying amazing energy in his engagements.”

He added that the King would likely base his visit on two conditions – that it is “private” and “planned beforehand”. Despite a trip possibly in the works, Mr Fitzwilliams added: “However after this week, when according to Harry’s spokesperson, his commitments precluded a meeting, the King has sent a clear sign that any future visit is likely to be beneficial only if it’s private and planned beforehand without the accompanying media circus which we’ve just seen.”

  • Prince William and Kate Middleton’s ‘frightening fight’ means they won’t ‘deal with Harry Problem’

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s ‘frightening fight’ means they won’t ‘deal with Harry Problem’

Prince William and Kate Middleton have neither the “will or the strength” to “deal with ‘the Prince Harry problem’,” a royal expert has said, as the younger Prince makes his long-awaited trip back to the UK.

Top royal commentator and former BBC royal editor Jennie Bond claims the “boot is on the other foot” following the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis. Not only do Harry’s previously aired grievances that sparked a rift with the royal family now seem “utterly trivial” by comparison, William and Kate’s “frightening fight” means the future King and Queen are unlikely to have much desire for a confrontation with the estranged brother..

Harry’s relationship with his dad King Charles appears irreparably strained as he opts out of meeting his father during a brief visit to the UK. The Duke of Sussex, who landed in Britain for an Invictus Games event, has left Meghan and their kids back in the US.

Arriving on Tuesday, May 7, there was much speculation about whether Harry would see King Charles. However, any hopes of a father-son reunion were quickly squashed. Prince Harry’s spokesperson confirmed that a meeting couldn’t be arranged due to the King’s busy schedule. The statement from Harry’s team explained: “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme. The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

This marks Harry’s first trip back since learning his sister-in-law is undergoing cancer treatment after January’s surgery. Despite anticipation of a possible reconciliation, Jennie told OK!: “As regards William, that does appear to be a terminally damaged relationship.”

She then highlighted a change in their dynamic, claiming: “In a way, it seems the boot is now very much on the other foot. Previously it was Harry who was the ‘victim’ looking for an apology for all his perceived grievances. Now those grievances must seem utterly trivial (even to Harry) in the face of a very real problem: cancer.”

Noting the seriousness of the situation and how it impacts family ties, she said: “Kate and William are involved in a frightening fight and I don’t think they have the will or the strength to confront someone, even a brother, who picked a fight over issues that seem pathetic by comparison.”

Jennie added: “William is doing everything he possibly can to protect his wife and I very much doubt that they want to deal with ‘the Harry problem’ right now, if ever.”

The royal expert reflected how Harry’s missed meeting with Charles indicates a severe rift. “we can deduce that their relationship is terminally damaged”, she said. “In a sensible world, Harry would stay with his dad at Clarence House – they could have cosy chats in perfect privacy and with all the security Harry wants.”

During his last visit to the UK, Harry met with his dad upon hearing about the monarch’s cancer diagnosis.

  • Meghan’s IG bad news for Kate

Meghan’s IG bad news for Kate

Why Meghan Markle’s new Instagram is bad news for Kate Middleton

Meghan hasn’t even been back on Instagram for a week, and already her new account is causing problems — and Kate is the biggest loser.

The Rock has 137 million, Selena Gomez has 148 million and even Vin Diesel has 53 million so in contrast 4.1 million Instagram followers is pretty small (organic Duchy of Cornwall) potatoes.

However when the account in question belongs to a couple of young lovebirds named the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, it is a whole new ball game.

In the only five days since they launched their very own brand-spanking account, @Sussexroyal has surely become the world’s most watched Insta, passing the one million follower mark in world-record time. (If only 2015 Tig-era Meghan could see herself now — #Ladyboss #Proud.)

In the coming weeks, their account is only going to grow exponentially and there is a very good chance that we will see the first shots of Baby Sussex right there — insert praying hands emoji here.

Already, they have given us loved up shots of them charming the people, babies and animals of the world.

However, there will come a point in the very near future when something else momentous will happen — the Sussex’s Insta account will overtake that of the Cambridges’ @KensingtonRoyal (7.4 million followers) setting up a social media face-off that could rattle the royal establishment.

Writing in the Sunday Times this weekend, the paper’s royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah mused that competing accounts could “jeopardise royal harmony” and “may cause unexpected grief back home”. Her argument: pitting couple against couple in a global popularity contest is only going to cause headaches.

Meghan and Kate have been pitted against each other from the start. Picture: Chris Jackson/AFP

Meghan and Kate have been pitted against each other from the start. Picture: Chris Jackson/AFP

Until now, the social media stars of the royal family were clearly the photogenic Cambridges, all fresh-faced and no-doubt smelling of Jo Malone body wash. No one was concerned if the Duke of York’s account (which is sadly not @RandyAndy) racked up more likes than Prince Edward’s.

But the “Fab Four” has ushered in a new age in which the two Wales brothers lives and wives exist in a constant state of comparison and these accounts only provide a new frontier for constantly tabulating who is more widely liked by the fawning, fickle public.

Secondly, the Palace must now be bracing themselves for fact that duelling accounts will only breathe more life into the Meghan vs Kate deathmatch that has been playing out in the media for months.

Since the day Meghan moved into the royal household with her collection of Diptyque candles and crate of beloved Lululemon in tow, the media narrative has relentlessly pitted the former actress against her sister-in-law, Kate. Who is more stylish? Spends more on couture frocks? Gets to sit nearest the Queen while rewatching Game of Thrones?

Forget “sources” telling the British tabloids about the royal ructions going on behind the chintz curtains — this is a whole new paradigm. Reporters will be now be able to scrutinise their accounts for clues as to what is going on behind the Palace gates. Which account didn’t like the other’s page? Was that comment from the other account snarky?

Lastly, there is the question of the private toll this clash might take. All of us, HRHs or not, have egos and are deeply susceptible to how well-received the latest sweet shot of our baby and pic of us in our simply DI-VINE new lilac fascinator are.

Should you have a sister-in-law who is generating significantly more Instagram love, that would be #galling.

The clear winners though here are us, their subjects. We will now get double the number of candid shots of the Wales husbands and wives (and tiny, gorgeous sproglets) and that is only a good thing in my book — #blessed.

King Charles’s Tears Of Joy At IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Of Princess Catherine After A Lengthy Recovery

King Charles’s Tears Of Joy At IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Of Princess Catherine After A Lengthy Recovery
As the Windsor family faces cancer treatment, they show a united front with every public gesture and personal tribute speaking volumes about their strong bond.

This dynamic duo, King Charles and Princess Katherine, continue their journey through personal health challenges and royal duties, capturing the imagination and hearts of the people.

“The Monarch won’t allow any negative talk about the Princess of Wales,” says a royal author.

The King protects his daughter-in-law against any royal family members who question when she will return to royal duties, and even Charles threatens the riot act against anyone who speaks negatively about Catherine.

With his recent post, the King has sent a touching message and sweet wish to all of those continuing cancer treatment on their recovery path. Among those receiving a message of love and care is Princess Catherine. At that moment, she felt understood and uplifted by the kindness and compassion of her father-in-law that was extended to her.

Talking about Charles’s more protective role towards his daughter-in-law, royal author Anderson believes that the King’s devotion to supporting Catherine within the palace is raising eyebrows in the royal family. There are those inside and outside the palace who have criticized her over the years before the diagnosis, supposedly not shouldering her share of the royal burden for not going to as many ribbon cuttings, hospital openings, and plaque unveilings as the late Queen Elizabeth II, the King, or Princess Anne, for instance. In the past, Charles has remained silent about this and allowed the sniping from the sidelines to continue, but no more.

It has always been Catherine’s choice to prioritize her children’s well-being over royal duties. Now, the King brooks no criticism of her, period. Anderson quickly concludes that the other royal family members and courtiers alike know that they risk being read the riot act by the King if they dare utter a negative syllable about the Princess of Wales. Charles has also made it clear that everyone should stand down regarding when and how she returns to a full public schedule.

King Charles and Katherine’s relationship, strengthened by mutual respect and shared experiences, is pinpointed by both having been diagnosed with cancer and undergoing treatment concurrently. This shared struggle against the daunting health challenge has underscored their resilience and mutual support, with Charles expressing pride in Katherine’s courage to disclose her diagnosis publicly. Their bond, already strong from over a decade of familial milestones including the birth of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, now deepens as they navigate their health journeys together.

Their camaraderie, highlighted during private moments like a shared lunch before Katherine’s poignant video announcement or walking up and down the hallways to visit one another in the hospital, paints a picture of a relationship rooted in empathy and solidarity. Last month, King Charles bestowed a pretty special and history-making honor to his daughter-in-law Catherine. The King admitted Catherine to the Order of Companions of Honour. This honor serves as more than a personal thank you for Katherine’s loyal service to the Crown since she married Prince William nearly 13 years ago; it is also an acknowledgment of her contribution to the social activities at Buckingham Palace.

At a royal banquet celebrating the South Korean state visit to the UK, the Princess of Wales chose to wear the Strathmore Rose Tiara, which hasn’t been worn since the 1930s. It symbolized her respect and allegiance to King Charles, a gesture much appreciated by him. King Charles has also extended his familial warmth by involving Katherine’s family significantly in royal affairs. He made a gracious gesture by inviting her parents, Carole and Michael, along with her siblings, Pippa and James, to his coronation, further cementing the close-knit relationship between the families.

Such inclusivity highlights the deep and personal connections that transcend formal royal duties. In times of sorrow, such as Prince Philip’s funeral, the Princess of Wales has provided visible support to King Charles, showcasing their strong bonds. During a state banquet in Kenya in October 2023, King Charles III affectionately referred to Katherine as his beloved daughter-in-law, a term that he reiterated in a public speech in November 2023.

  • Kate Middleton’s wedding ring shares sweet quirk in common with Meghan Markle and late Queen

Kate Middleton’s wedding ring shares sweet quirk in common with Meghan Markle and late Queen

Kate Middleton’s wedding ring shares sweet quirk in common with Meghan Markle and late Queen

The wedding rings of Queen Elizabeth II, Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie are actually very similar despite looking hugely different, an expert has outlined

Princess Kate’s wedding ring shares a cute quirk as that belonging to Meghan Markle and the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The three rings – and those of all royal brides in the past century – were crafted from the same nugget of gold from a particular mine in Gwynedd, north Wales.

The tradition started in 1923 when Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the Queen Mother, married the Duke of York and, ever since, all the wedding rings for royal brides have been crafted from gold at Clogau St.

Kate Middleton How To Wear An Eternity Ring : Kate Middleton Jewelry ...

David’s Gold Mine, a historic site which is though to be the UK’s largest ever gold producer. Clogau, which already had “a long and illustrious history” with the British royal family prior to the 1920s, said the gold would symbolise the Queen Mother and Duke of York’s marriage.

Princess Kate’s engagement ring, which cost nearly £400,000, previously belonged to Princess Diana. Public information about Kate’s wedding ring, however, is far more scarce.

The tradition started when Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon married Duke of York in April 1923
Clogau’s Managing Director Ben Roberts said: “The symbolism of Welsh gold within the royal family is a subtle nod to the proud and noble heritage of Wales, and highlights how important the country is to them.

“Welsh gold is possibly the rarest in the world, so we carefully make sure to include only a small amount within each piece of Clogau jewellery. Our goal is to help preserve the longevity of Welsh gold, whilst keeping Clogau affordable and accessible.”

Gold mining stopped at Clogau in 1998, though nuggets, including that used for the more recent royal brides’ rings, have been preserved. The site said yhe high cost of mining and diminishing quantities of gold being found led to the decision to cease operations.

And, speaking to Hello! magazine this week, Mr Roberts added: “We know there’s a concern about gold supplies eventually running out… It’s true that almost every piece of jewellery containing Welsh gold is marked with a dragon stamp.

“The eye-catching and original stamp helps identify a genuine piece of Clogau gold. But there are exceptions to the rule, and wedding bands are usually one of them, as they follow a more traditional and plain design. When it comes to the wedding rings of the royal family, it would not be surprising if they did not bear the dragon mark.”

Meghan and Harry’s Plan To Destroy the British Monarchy Didn’t Count on This Happening

After months of uncertainty, Prince Harry has decided to attend the coronation of his father, King Charles III, at Westminster Abbey on May 6th. However, his wife, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, will not be present and will remain in Montecito, California. Harry’s visit to London is expected to be brief, and it comes amid increasing tensions with his brother, Prince William, and his wife, the Princess of Wales. Reports from London suggest that many members of the royal family will be keeping their distance from Harry, who has been increasingly critical of the royals following the release of his controversial memoir, “Spare.”

Both Harry and Meghan have seen a significant decline in popularity in the United Kingdom since the release of “Spare” and their highly publicized Netflix documentary, which debuted last November. In fact, they have become two of the most disliked celebrity figures in the UK today. Their standing has also taken a hit in the United States, where the satirical show “South Park” delivered a scathing parody of the royal couple in a recent episode.

The decision by Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, not to attend the coronation of King Charles III can be attributed to several factors. One significant consideration was the potential risk of facing public backlash or negative reactions on the streets of London, which could have had a detrimental impact on her public image and brand. Additionally, the prospect of being relegated to a secondary status as “non-working royals” during the coronation celebrations, which would have denied them the privilege of appearing on the Buckingham Palace balcony, likely played a role in her decision.

It is worth noting that the relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the British monarchy has experienced a significant strain over the past year. Their criticisms and allegations against the royal family have faced substantial backlash and negative reactions from both the British and American public. Furthermore, their increasing involvement in political activism has alienated a significant portion of the American population.

The situation surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has taken a significant turn, with growing calls in London, including from some members of Parliament, to strip them of their royal titles. While King Charles III has not publicly addressed this issue, reports suggest that discussions have taken place at the highest levels of the palace.

The rift between the Sussexes and the royal family can be traced back to their controversial 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, which was perceived as a declaration of war against the monarchy. Their unproven allegations of racism within the royal household have been harmful to the institution and have resulted in significant tensions between them and other royals.

Consequently, Harry and Meghan find themselves almost completely isolated from the larger royal family and are viewed as pariahs by a significant portion of the British public. While the king has extended an olive branch by including Harry in the coronation, there is no sign of reconciliation between him and his brother, Prince William.

The situation highlights the ongoing challenges and complexities surrounding the royal family’s dynamics and public perception.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have effectively severed ties with the British royal family and their future involvement appears highly unlikely. Despite retaining their royal titles and the associated prestige, they have essentially become exiles residing in California. Their primary focus now seems to be on building substantial personal wealth through various media deals and production ventures, potentially becoming part of the Montecito elite. However, their standing within the British monarchy is expected to be negligible. Any aspirations they may have had to undermine the thousand-year-old institution of the monarchy have proven unsuccessful, and are unlikely to succeed in the future. The Harry and Meghan saga can be viewed as a modern-day tragedy, a narrative characterized by narcissism, hubris, and greed. It represents the unfortunate downfall of a once-beloved couple who have burned bridges on both sides of the Atlantic in pursuit of a contentious vendetta.
