Legend would have it that men typically marry women who both resemble and act like their own mothers.

It’s a contentious theory, of course, for many would disagree and even take umbrage with the idea of marrying anyone who resembled a parent.

 

Not so Brooklyn Beckham, whose penchant for mirroring his famous father’s love of tattoos is only rivalled by his own wife’s apparent transformation into a younger, and arguably wealthier, version of his mother.

Over recent days the family have been enjoying time aboard David and Victoria’s new £16million superyacht off-the-coast of Miami, a picturesque Floridian backdrop  used to great advantage in much of their latest social media content.

But it is Nicola Peltz and what appears to be a gradual transition from stylishly aloof heiress to couldn’t-care-less copy of Brooklyn’s mother that has really caught the eye.

Even more startling, Victoria’s typically sleek, minimalist style has been ditched over recent weeks, with the sartorially astute fashion designer appearing to mirror Brooklyn’s equally well-groomed wife.

 

Indeed, her usual catwalk-ready couture has been ditched in favour of the casual vests and skimpy shorts typically favoured by her daughter-in-law.

As far back as February Nicola paid homage to her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham with her latest outfit choice during Paris Fashion Week.

The actress stepped out in the stylish Dolce & Gabbana leather jacket, which was the exact same one worn by the fashion designer, 49, in 2001.

The motocross jacket worn by Victoria originally cost £965, however they are now being snapped up second hand for £7,800 on one pre-loved site.

 

The jacket proved incredibly popular at the time with stars including Naomi Campbell, Madonna and Jennifer Saunders being spotted in it.

During the outing in the French capital, Nicola styled the iconic jacket with a pair of blue jeans and black platform heeled boots – a look that was no doubt met with an approving nod from her mother-in-law.

Not so long ago they were barely talking after falling out over the design of Nicola’s wedding dress – at least if widely circulating rumours of the time were to be believed.

But these days the inseparable pair can’t keep away from the dance floor, as recently shared Instagram content will testify.

In February, Victoria, Brooklyn and Nicola were all pictured smiling and singing along to famous Spice Girls debut single Wannabe during a night out in Los Angeles.

Victoria was on hand to help her daughter-in-law celebrate the release of new film Lola – her directorial debut – at the city’s Regency Bruin Theatre.

The curious tableau was all the more compelling by virtue of Nicola’s decision to wear an outfit from Victoria’s fashion range at the premiere – an indication that if any feud existed, it had since been put to bed.

Easter got off to a cracking start in the Beckham household as the family gave David’s new $16million superyacht its debut off the coast of Miami.

Nicola – whose businessman father Nelson Peltz owns a sprawling family compound on the Florida coast – was on had to join the family, and wasted no time in continuing what appears to be a recurring theme.

4. SING WHEN YOU’RE TWINNING

Clearly putting any fashion fracas behind them, the pair’s close relationship is increasingly reflected in Nicola’s current wardrobe.

The actress, model and director has, in recent years, adopted some of Victoria’s trademark looks, including adopting a more monochrome wardrobe, sporting leather and wearing her hair in a shade of deep, glossy chestnut.

Victoria recently told Vanity Fair that her 90s looks have now caught the eye of her Gen-Z kids and their partners, with Nicole seemingly a particular fan.

She said: ‘It’s funny because the ‘90s have made such a comeback fashionwise, the kids are asking for some of our pieces from then.

The model and actress, 28, supported her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham in a photo shared on Sunday as she wore a pair of stylish pants by the fashion designer.

She was joined in the photo by her husband Brooklyn Peltz Beckham as the pair posed in matching black outfits on a shiny white entranceway lined with lit trees and red and orange flowers.

The Transformers star gave a closer glimpse of her beauty look as she also posted a couple of selfies. She wore her hair in loose waves and sported a smoke cat eye with pink blush and pink glossy lips.

While staying on the island of Sumba, at the exclusive Nihi Sumba resort, the family of six also spent a day with the Sumba Foundation, a non-profit organization that brings healthcare, clean water, employment and education to local inhabitants of the island.

During their trip, the family played games — including soccer — with a group of local children, while also helping them practice their English.

The entrepreneur and designer, who launched her namesake cosmetics brand, Victoria Beckham Beauty, this month, revealed that starting a makeup company in her mid-40s gave her more confidence than ever before. “There’s something really liberating about embracing who I am at 45 years old and owning it, feeling confident, feeling content. Doing beauty has really helped with that – it’s been very liberating,” Beckham said in an interview with Glamour UK.

She continued: “I want to spread the word that everybody should feel like the best version of themselves. To look after what you have.”

The British star, who launched her own eponymous fashion label in 2008, is no stranger to dealing with public scrutiny, especially in the age of the internet. But Beckham has become a pro at not letting any haters get under her skin.

Victoria Beckham Beauty’s products were designed to be luxurious, clean, and marketed towards consumers through honest, minimally-retouched photos (Beckham insisted on keeping her wrinkles in the imagery, Glamour UK reports).

“What’s real and what’s not has become so blurred with Photoshop,” Beckham said. “I believe people want to see pictures that are real.”

She continued: “I want to tell people to own who you are. Yes, we – and I – have wrinkles, and that’s OK!”

At launch, the line includes creamy and pigmented eye shadow “bricks,” kajal liners and shimmering lid lustres. Beckham plans to introduce other categories, including lip and skin, to the brand soon.

The model and fashion designer shared a mirror selfie on her Instagram Saturday, showing her throwing up a piece sign in a strappy black minidress — a pose reminiscent of her time as Posh Spice in the iconic 1990s British girl band.

“Hoping you all have a spicy Saturday!! 🌶️✌️ Kisses!” she captioned the photo.

Beckham, 47, previously channeled her pop star past last August when she posted a sweet snapshot with her daughter Harper Seven, 9, in which she held up a peace sign as Harper captured the mirror selfie.

“Kisses from posh and baby posh ✌🏼💕💕,” the mom of four wrote alongside the mother-daughter photo — a cheeky nod to Beckham’s group nickname.

Fool Me Once star Michelle Keegan and One Day actor Leo Woodall led the nominees and will go head-to-head as they are both up for the Best Drama performance award.

Michelle, 36, who plays Maya Stern, stars alongside Joanna Lumley in the thriller, which is an adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel, and shot to the top of the Netflix charts in January.

Michelle’s career has reached new heights as the hit Netflix show has been viewed nearly 100million times around the world.

Football legend David is married to former Spice Girl Victoria and they share four children – Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 12.

His documentary amassed a record breaking 3.8million viewers during its premiere week.

 

According to the Broadcasters Audience Research Board (BARB), the first episode saw 3,813,100 fans tune in.

The second instalment was also a success reaching 2,868,800 viewers by the week ending October 8.



BECKHAM was the streaming service’s topped watched show for two weeks when it was released, with 11,600,000 fans watching globally, according to Netflix’s own data.

Coleen and Wayne Rooney are also both in the running in the Authored Documentary category.

Her Disney+ show, The Real Wagatha Story, is up against Prime Video’s Rooney, which charts her husband’s incredible football career.

There’s a clash of the Time Lords in Drama Performance, where Doctor David Tennant takes on Ncuti Gatwa, his successor in the Tardis.

Both go up against Mr Bates vs The Post Office stars Toby Jones and Monica Dolan as well as Baby Reindeer leads Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning.

Doctor Who, which celebrated its 60th anniversary last year, could also triumph in the Returning Drama category.

Joining them in this category are stars including Slow Horses’ Gary Oldman, The Tourist’s Jamie Dornan and Trigger Point’s Vicky McClure.

Good Morning Britain marked 10 years on screen, but will still have to battle it out against early morning rival BBC Breakfast.

Loose Women and Lorraine are also in the running for NTAs glory, or will This Morning regain its Daytime crown.

As someone who notoriously eats the exact same thing every day to get her dewy complexion (it’s salmon) and rigorously works out for two hours a day (it’s true!), Victoria Beckham is clearly a creature of habit – and even more clearly, it works for her. So when she shared her daily beauty routine with Into the Gloss, we knew that it would be both rigorously tested and darn near miracle-working.

The clothing designer (who at the time was promoting her own Estée Lauder cosmetics line) walked through her entire product arsenal with Into the Gloss, from skincare to makeup and hair products. She says that as she’s aged, her beauty regimen has gotten less complicated, thanks to more settled skin and fewer wacky looks from her Spice Girls days.

“I used to have quite bad skin when I was younger and I was constantly covering up spots and things like that. Luckily, I don’t have to worry too much about that anymore. Over time, you learn what works for you,” she explains. “And, you know, I tried some interesting looks in the Spice Girls. At this point, I’ve done so many photoshoots and red carpets that I’ve learned so much about my beauty style by looking back at pictures of myself.”

Below, we broke down each product she uses so you can shop them too!

Skincare

If you’ve noticed that Beckham looks just as radiant in her airport paparazzi photos post-flight as she does on the red carpet, that’s because she gives herself a mini-facial in flight. She cleanses her skin and puts on Sarah Chapman’s Skinesis Stem Cell Collagen Activator ($265) which makes her skin feel “so nice” in the “horrific” airplane air. Then she uses her very own Estée Lauder Morning Aura primer ($95, now out of stock) which she developed specifically to look refreshed when facing the paparazzi after a long flight. (Just one of the perks of having your own beauty line!)

As for her everyday routine, she starts with Bioderma makeup wipes ($9.90) which she wears actually work to take off long-lasting makeup. Then she follows it up with a rotating variety of cleansers, including Sarah Chapman’s Ultimate Cleanse ($75) and Lancer Skincare’s Method Polish ($75), the latter of which she tells the website is “grainy and abrasive” and is the best scrub she’s tried because “it really stimulates the skin.”

She follows that up with the Sarah Chapman 3D Moisture Infusion Mask ($84), a jade roller ($90) and La Mer’s Moisturizing Soft Lotion ($260) which she loves because it’s light enough to soak in before her foundation.

Makeup

Her number one go-to makeup product is her Estée Lauder Aura Gloss ($45, now sold out). She describes it like a lip balm but she uses it everywhere. “I’ll put it on top of my cheeks, on my eyelids, down the center of my nose, and always on this bow of my lip because it makes the lips look fuller,” she explains. “Also a little bit on my chin. Sometimes if I’m wearing something strapless, I’ll take a little bit, mix it with my moisturizer, and put it on my collarbone. You can do everything with it—it has this nice gold feeling that makes it a good highlighter.” (She also put it on models in her latest runway show.)

For days she’s just padding around the house, she puts on a tinted moisturizer from Sarah Chapman, Skin Insurance SPF 30 ($67). And for days she needs more coverage, it’s between Burberry Fresh Glow Foundation ($52), Cashmere Concealer ($40) and La Mer foundation ($110).

To finish off her signature look (contoured cheekbones with a smokey eye) she uses Estée Lauder Victoria Beckham Skin Perfecting Powder ($85), Estée Lauder Victoria Beckham Eye Kajal ($38) and Estée Lauder Victoria Beckham Cheek Crème ($60, all now sold out).

Body

When it comes to fragrance, she says she doesn’t have a signature scent, and uses anything by Byredo ($150), but as for moisturizing cream, she loves Weleda Skin Food ($19). “The formula is so thick and buttery,” she says. “When I have a tan, I’ll mix it with coconut oil—the same you use to cook with—and cover my entire body with it. I suppose some people may not like the greasiness, but it helps me hold on to the color. And by the time I leave the house, I feel as if it’s really sunk in.”

She also posted two body-care products to her Instagram in December – the OSEA Undaria Algae Oil ($48), which she said she applies right out of the shower, and Kanebo Sensai bronzing gel ($34) to amp up one’s glow in the pasty winter months.

Hair

She admitted that she can’t do her own hair as well as her own makeup, and says she only lets her L.A. colorist touch her strands. And no one is allowed to touch her brows besides Anastasia Soare, founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills. So the products she uses daily on her own include a simple shampoo ($44) and conditioner ($46) by Oribe which she says smells “incredible.”

Even when she’s on the go, she makes sure that she packs with her Skinade’s ($150) travel-size flavored anti-aging collagen drink that can improve the appearance and feeling of your skin in as little as 30 days. A holy grail product in her beauty routine, she makes sure she doesn’t go a day without taking it. “My Skinade, which I make sure I take everyday. It comes in bottles that you can keep in the fridge, and it also comes in handy little travel packets.”

Victoria Beckham is sharing some beauty wisdom just in time for the holidays.

The Spice Girls alum, 48, explained she’s “always had a nose like this” as she denied plastic surgery rumors and discussed contouring with beauty mogul pal Charlotte Tilbury in a video for the celebrity makeup artist’s YouTube channel.

“People have also said that I’ve had a nose job,” Beckham said. “Never had a nose job. Always had a nose like this. It is the nose trick.”

She and Tilbury, 49, demonstrated the trick (also known as the “exclamation trick”) earlier in the video, using highlighter to draw an exclamation point down Beckham’s nose. “It just gives you a button nose, which you’ve got a gorgeous little button nose,” Tilbury told Beckham.

Beckham then gifted Tilbury the Matte Bronzing Brick (retailing for $58) from Victoria Beckham Beauty, which she swears by for contouring her nose.

The designer formerly known as Posh Spice credited her girl group era with sparking her passion for style and beauty as she spoke with Molly Sims for her Lipstick on the Rim podcast in October.

“I learned so much about those Spice Girl days … being on the stage and wearing a lot of makeup,” she explained in a PEOPLE exclusive clip. “And let me tell you, the more tired that the Spice Girls got, the more makeup we put on our faces.”

“It was always a dream for me to create a modern luxury fashion and beauty house, and so I knew I had to do that myself,” Beckham added.

Beckham has also been candid about her feelings on plastic surgery since having her breast implants removed in 2014.

Victoria Beckham and David Beckham are one of pop culture’s best dressed couples for a reason.

Coming on the heels of the Beckham documentary’s chart-topping debut on Netflix as well as the release of David’s new namesake collection of fragrances, the former Spice Girl, 49, and soccer icon, 48, hit the town for a New York City dinner date. And the duo’s chic going-out looks didn’t miss.

Being the trendsetter she is, Victoria wore a crimson cap-sleeve gown featuring white lace detailing on the sides and an asymmetrical hem that showed off her carmine red open-toe heels and sheer tights. The pop star seemed to have pulled a page out of her own book as the elegant design appears to be from her own fashion line.

She accessorized with a large eggshell-colored clutch bag and kept her loose waves down.

The Beckhams Prove They’re the Best-Dressed Family in Hollywood at the Premiere of David’s Netflix Doc

Last week, the pair and their family attended the Beckham London premiere in style.

Stevens recently opened up to PEOPLE about what it was like working with the renowned soccer superstar and businessman. “He wasn’t what I expected at all. He was so open. He’s like, ‘I’m ready.
