Max Verstappen predicted a woeful outing for Red Bull in Monaco and it turned out to be true. Sergio Perez, who started P16, crashed out on the first lap and Verstappen couldn’t make any inroads, finishing sixth. This shook the team’s confidence and the Dutchman remains pessimistic about the immediate future, including the Canadian GP.

The RB20 has limitations on its suspension that make the car lose out on grip through vertical oscillations. As a result, Verstappen and Perez struggled on the kerbs and bumps in Monaco. With the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve also being a similarly positioned street circuit, Verstappen’s apprehensions remain valid.

    The three-time World Champion said,

“It [Canadian GP] probably won’t be easy with the kerbing

Ever since the ground-effect regulations came into effect in 2022, Red Bull hasn’t been the best in low-speed corners. But 2024 is the first time their rivals have gotten close enough to expose this weakness. In Monaco, both the Ferraris and the McLarens were able to dominate the Dutchman, and there was nothing the latter could do.

Talking about the upcoming Canadian GP, Red Bull doesn’t have a good track record in Montreal. They have 118 Grand Prix wins in F1 and only four of them have come in Canada. The two times they have won (both thanks to Verstappen), the gap to the second-placed finisher has been less than ten seconds.

If not Max Verstappen, then who is the favorite to win the 2024 Canadian GP?

The last three races have set the cat amongst the pigeons in terms of the championship fight. Miami was the first time Red Bull’s dominance visibly faltered, and while Verstappen somehow scrapped through the Emilia-Romagna GP by winning it, his slender advantage over Lando Norris (in P2) showed that he was no longer in his comfort zone.

Monaco, on the other hand, exposed Red Bull’s weakest links to its rivals. If Canada too, pans out according to Verstappen’s prediction, a three-way fight for the race win could very well be on.

McLaren’s upgrades, which the Woking-based outfit brought in Miami, unleashed potential in the medium-speed corners. With the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve being full of those, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri look like the benchmark heading into the Canadian GP weekend.

  • Will Buxton Calls Out FIA for Inconsistency in Decisions Related to Esteban Ocon and Kevin Magnussen

Lap one of the 2024 Monaco GP turned into a destruction derby, with four cars crashing out of the race. The FIA stewards found themselves busy, and had to decide on penalties for the drivers deemed guilty. F1 journalist and F1 TV presenter Will Buxton, however, was not happy with the job they did, calling the officials out for their inconsistency.

First, it was Kevin Magnussen who crashed into Sergio Perez in the first sector. It took both of them and Nico Hulkenberg out of the race. Soon, Alpine’s Esteban Ocon squeezed his teammate Pierre Gasly into the wall, leading to the former being flung into the air.

But while Ocon received a five-place grid drop for the incident with Gasly, Magnussen got away scot-free. In fact, there wasn’t even any investigation into the matter.

After the race, Buxton took to X and wrote,

“Either first laps have leniency or they don’t. Bit weird.”

The general norm with stewarding decisions on lap one of the races is to go with a lenient view. With all the cars bunched up and jostling for positions, incidents are difficult to avoid. Hence, the authorities refrain from handing penalties out easily.

Ocon, however, was not on the receiving end of this leniency. He received a penalty, whereas Magnussen, who appeared to have caused the collision, escaped without one.

The Dane will be breathing a sigh of relief. Currently, he has 10 penalty points on his superlicense. If his antics in Monaco got two more to his name, he would’ve been forced to sit out the upcoming Canadian GP.

Esteban Ocon to face additional “consequences”

The stewards were not the only ones to hold Ocon accountable after his incident with Alpine teammate Pierre Gasly. Reportedly, team principal Bruno Famin was furious. And he had some harsh things to say about his driver after the shunt in Monaco.

During the live broadcast of the Grand Prix, Ted Kravitz translated what Famin had told French TV. Ocon’s move out of Portier was deemed over the line by the French boss.

He also went as far as saying that Ocon would have to face “immediate consequences” and that a “tough decision” was going to be made within the team.

This further goes to show the discord within the Enstone-based outfit. There has been massive internal reshuffling with major names leaving the team in the last few months. Despite a difficult start and the scary lap one incident involving Ocon, Pierre Gasly did come away with his first points for the team this season.

Ingrid Seward, Editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told Fabulous: “Well, they’ve got the problem that they don’t want to be photographed and seen.

“Most couples will go out and have the most wonderful dinner somewhere.”

The royal expert said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may opt to celebrate at their £12million mansion in Montecito, California – but with a romantic twist.

Ingrid continued: “I think it’s possible, because Meghan is quite inventive, that she might maybe find a really pretty spot in their garden and decorate it. That would be an artistic thing.

“Make it all beautiful with candles and roses.

“She is quite like that. She loves putting candles everywhere.

“So instead of actually being in the house, they would be outside of it because the problem is being in your own home, you’re jumping up and down and getting things all the time.”

She added that Meghan may set up the romantic scene as a “surprise to Harry.”

She continued: “I think that she will still want to make a big deal of it because there’s so much focus on their state of their marriage.

“I don’t think they’ll do anything in public but I would have thought in private they might make just a sort of romantic gesture to each other.

“Harry’s very, very much in love with Meghan.

“Whatever else we say about him, he loves her very much and I think he’d want to do anything to make her happy.”

Former Royal butler Grant Harrold – who worked for King Charles for seven years – also predicted the Sussexes will celebrate in private.

As reported by the Mirror, he explained: “Celebrations will probably be behind closed doors, maybe a dinner party with some friends or maybe just the two of them.

“Maybe they’ll recreate that roast chicken dinner they had on the night they got engaged at their cottage in Windsor.”

He shared how Harry was “always very romantic” and on dates would be a “true gentleman.”

Grant also added that Meghan and Harry’s wedding anniversary could be an opportunity for an “olive branch” between them and Harry’s family.

Grant explained: “Typically, the Royal family do acknowledge wedding anniversaries, we usually see social media posts so it’ll be interesting to see if that happens this year. If they don’t, once again it goes to show the ongoing division. If it does happen, then I see that as an olive branch.”

MEGHAN MARKLE’S STUNNING GIVENCHY WEDDING DRESS

Meghan Markle stunned onlookers as she arrived at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, ahead of her nuptials to Prince Harry, in a stunning bespoke gown by Givenchy, created by British designer Clare Waight Keller.

The former Suits actress chose to work with Clare Waight Keller “for her timeless and elegant aesthetic, impeccable tailoring, and relaxed demeanour”.

Meghan wanted to “highlight the success of a leading British talent who has now served as the creative head of three globally influential fashion houses – Pringle of Scotland, Chloé, and now Givenchy”.

Meghan and Clare worked closely together on the design, which featured a graphic open bateau neckline that gracefully frames the shoulders and emphasises Meghan’s slender waist.

Meghan and Harry tied the knot on May 19, 2018 in front of 600 guests at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

It’s estimated that the occasion cost £32m – covering everything from the cost of security and catering to Meghan’s stunning dress.

Watching on was a star-studded crowd of hundreds including the Clooneys, the Beckhams and Elton John – who performed at the lunchtime’s reception.

A gospel choir sang American soul singer Ben E. Kings 1960s hit Stand By Me to the couple, who had earlier been given their new titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

And they were later able to meet the rapturous crowds of more than 100,000 people as they were taken through Windsor in a carriage.

The Royal Wedding was not the first time Meghan has said, “I do”.

Meghan was previously married to film producer Trevor Engelson who is most famous for the 9/11 romance movie Remember Me, starring Robert Pattinson.

Esteban Ocon almost orchestrated an Alpine double DNF on lap one of the Monaco GP. Coming out of Portier, the Frenchman squeezed his teammate Pierre Gasly into the wall which launched him up in the air, catapulted by the latter’s front-right tire. Ocon was forced to retire, and while Gasly did manage to finish in the points, he wasn’t pleased with his teammate’s behavior.

Speaking to the media after the race, Gasly said,

For the team, we have 1,200 people working for us and we cannot afford to have this sort of behavior.”

Gasly, who was “disappointed” with Ocon, was referring to the understanding he had with the 27-year-old. Alpine instructed the two to keep it clean against each other. And by doing what he did in Monaco, Ocon did not respect that agreement.

It also left Team Principal Bruno Famin furious, who insisted that there would be consequences to the Frenchman’s actions.

Ocon, however, realized his mistake in the immediate aftermath. He took to his social media handle to accept the error, and apologized to his team for ruining what was turning out to be a solid weekend for the Enstone-based outfit.

What consequences does Esteban Ocon have to face?

Famin’s words resonated a bitter ultimatum to his driver, which for the former, could be a very big step indeed. The French team has been going through a transitional period, with many top names leaving over the last few months.

Ocon’s contract with Alpine runs out in 2024, and Famin, by saying there would be a “tough decision” made, hinted at his departure from the team. This gives scope for further reshuffling, something the team would be looking to avoid.

Alpine’s start the 2024 season has been woeful. And progress has been awfully slow. As a result, they will be craving stability and peace within (at the very least), which could be shaken due to Ocon’s recent antics.

Ocon’s future with the team looks far from secure after the Monaco GP. Ahead of the 2025 season, if Alpine pulls the plug on him, they could have several drivers in the running to replace him. Including Mercedes reserve driver Mick Schumacher.

Kevin Magnussen’s opening lap lunge on Sergio Perez at the 2024 Monaco GP wreaked havoc, causing a massive collision between the two which also took out his Haas teammate Nico Hulkenberg. The latter blamed Magnussen, as did Perez, both of whom deemed the attempt unnecessary. One of the main reasons why Perez holds him accountable is the lack of space Magnussen had, and F1 expert Tim Hauraney agrees.

On the latest episode of the Nailing the Apex podcast, Hauraney said,

If you look at just how much space there was for him to put his car there, I mean, even if there was a gap, right, that gap is still not big enough and wide enough.”

He adds the modern F1 cars are way too big, and pointed out that the part of the circuit where the Haas driver attempted the move, was not ideal for overtakes. “Even on the opening lap when the surface is not as dirty, there’s not as many marbles offline. It’s still not really a place you can go to pass.”

For Haas, Magnussen’s mistake was extremely costly. It added insult to injury after their disqualification from Qualifying the day earlier.

The stewards found the American outfit guilty of technical infringements, as a result of which both Magnussen and Hulkenberg started from the back of the grid. They were already out of contention for the points. But both cars crashing out on lap one was a bad look for the Kannapolis-based team.

It was also a big shunt for Perez, who admitted that he was relieved that he walked away from the incident. There were photographers on the other side of the barrier into which he crashed. And one of them was even reported to be injured.

However, the FIA was lenient on Magnussen, who escaped a penalty. The Dane, on the other hand, refuses to see where he went wrong.

Kevin Magnussen refusing to assume blame for the Monaco GP incident with Sergio Perez

Magnussen already has 10 penalty points to his superlicense. So, if the stewards chose to hand him another two in Monaco, he would be forced to miss out on the Canadian GP in two weeks.

However, in the 31-year-old’s eyes, he was never at fault to begin with.

As quoted by Sky Sports, he said,

“From my point of view, I had a good part of my front on Perez’s rear and when he went to the wall I got pushed to the wall and made contact with him. From my point of view, I was there, and I got squeezed to the wall.”

Perez was shocked, not only by the stewards’ decision to not penalize him, but at Magnussen’s perspective. Perez maintains his stance that the Danish driver was to blame. Thankfully, however, all three involved in the accident escaped unscathed. Putting the blame game behind, their focus will shift onto the next race.

Meghan Markle skipping UK visit with Prince Harry ‘prompts huge sigh of relief from Kensington Palace’ as King Charles is set to ‘reach out’ to Prince Archie on his birthday, royal expert claims

Meghan Markle skipping out on an upcoming visit to the UK with Prince Harry has ‘prompted a huge sigh of relief from Kensington Palace’ – as King Charles is set to ‘reach out’ to Prince Archie on his birthday, a royal expert has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex, whose son Archie is celebrating his fifth birthday today, will attend a service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Royal expert Tom Quinn has claimed that royal aides were quietly relieved that the Duchess of Sussex won’t be joining her husband for the UK leg of his trip – instead meeting Harry in Nigeria afterwards.

Speaking to The Mirror, the expert claimed: ‘At Kensington Palace there was a huge sigh of relief when it was confirmed that Meghan would not be accompanying her husband to the UK.’

What’s more, the expert also claimed King Charles is ‘desperate’ to have a relationship with Archie and Lilibet, who are being raised in California.

He also told The Mirror that the monarch ‘dislikes new technology’ and is ‘uncomfortable’ with the idea of making a video call.

The expert continued: ‘If he makes an ordinary telephone call to Harry it means he can have a quick word with Archie without the need to talk to Meghan.’

In April 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Archie video-called the late Queen to wish her a happy 94th birthday – with the couple reportedly instructing their spokesman to email a selection of hand-picked publications to share the news shortly afterwards.

Ahead of his visit this week, it was reported Prince Harry was ‘very keen’ to see his father during his trip to the UK.

The Duke is said to have ‘kept in regular contact’ with King Charles following his shock cancer diagnosis in February.

After recently announcing he was resuming his public duties, the King is set to attend Buckingham Palace’s first garden party of the year from 4pm on Wednesday.

The garden party and the Invictus Games ceremony are both expected to finish at around 6pm, allowing the two to meet in person for the first time since February, the Sun reports.

‘It’s clear he is keen to see his father as he continues his recovery and most people expect another reunion of some kind next week,’ the source said.

The expert also claimed King Charles (pictured) is 'desperate' to have a relationship with Archie and Lilibet, who are being raised in California

Prince Archie is celebrating his fifth birthday. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex pictured their South Africa tour in September 2019

However, any such meeting will probably not include the attendance of Prince William.

On Thursday, William is likely to be away from London and he has engagements in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly on Friday.

Nigerians are ‘excited’ to welcome their ‘daughter’ Meghan Markle for a royal visit with her husband next month after Prince Harry attends an event in London.

Social media users with links to the country said they were ‘overwhelmed with joy’ and promised a ‘celebration’ to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

It comes after Meghan revealed in 2022 that she found out she was ’43 per cent Nigerian’ following genealogy research carried out ‘a couple of years’ prior.

The couple will head to Nigeria after being invited by the African country’s chief of defence staff, who met Harry last September at the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.

Daniel Egwu, who lives in Enugu in Nigeria, tweeted: ‘I’m excited about this news! Our beloved sister, Meghan and our brother-in-law, Harry are welcome to Nigeria!’

Another X user wrote: ‘Harry and Meghan are coming to Nigeria in May! We cannot wait to welcome them! And our good sis is coming home for the first time. We have been waiting since she discovered she’s a daughter of the soil.’

Meghan’s Nigerian heritage was referenced by Harry at the opening ceremony of the Dusseldorf Invictus Games last September, after Nigeria joined Colombia and Israel in sending their first-ever delegation to the event.

‘We’re really excited to have new nations join us. Let’s hear it for Colombia, Israel and Nigeria,’ Harry told the crowd at the Merkur Spiel-Arena.

‘Now, I’m not saying we play favourites in our home, but since my wife discovered she is of Nigerian descent, it’s likely to get a little bit more competitive this year!’

In a rare public comment, Prince William recently shared an encouraging update about his wife, Kate Middleton, amidst her preventative chemotherapy treatment.

Speaking during his visit to the Isles of Scilly, an archipelago off the Cornish coast in southwestern England, the Prince assured well-wishers that Kate is “doing well.”

Prince William’s visit to the Isles of Scilly, where he laid the foundation stone for a new hospital with inpatient treatment beds and a maternity suite, marked his first since becoming the Duke of Cornwall. During this visit, Tracy Smith, an administrator at St Mary’s Community Hospital, inquired about Kate’s health. “I asked William about his wife Kate and he said, ‘she’s doing well, thanks,’ and I suggested they might like to come for a visit and bring the children,” Smith recounted.

In a light-hearted moment, Prince William responded, “The children are very jealous that I am here. Maybe we might come later in the year.” This comment reflects the family’s hopeful outlook despite the ongoing health challenges.

Prince William also received a ‘Get well soon’ card for his father, King Charles, and Kate Middleton from Matron Lynda McHale, acknowledging the royal family’s resilience in the face of health adversities.

Understanding Preventative Chemotherapy: Adjuvant Therapy Explained
Kate Middleton’s announcement in March about her preventive chemotherapy treatment has sparked widespread curiosity and concern. This form of treatment, known medically as adjuvant therapy, plays a critical role in cancer care.

    What is Adjuvant Therapy?
Adjuvant therapy refers to additional cancer treatment given after the primary treatment, such as surgery, to lower the risk of the cancer returning. It is a vital part of comprehensive cancer care, aiming to eliminate any remaining cancer cells that could not be removed surgically.

Also Read: Selena Gomez Talks About Embracing Her Mental Health Journey; Break Free from the Stigma Around Mental Health

Dr Uma Dangi, Consultant Medical Oncology, Fortis Hospital Mulund & Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi, explains that adjuvant chemotherapy is used to treat cancer that has already been diagnosed. The therapy is designed to work alongside surgical interventions to target any microscopic cancer cells left behind. “Chemotherapy is preventive in the sense that when a patient is treated after surgery with chemotherapy, the hope is that surgery leaves behind only a few microscopic cells that chemotherapy can help clean up,” Dr. Dangi states.

    When is Adjuvant Therapy Used?
Adjuvant therapy is employed in the treatment plans of various cancer types and is usually administered after primary treatments like surgery or radiation. The decision to use adjuvant therapy depends on factors such as the type and stage of cancer, and the patient’s overall health.

The therapy may involve chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a combination of both. The main goal is to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence and improve long-term survival rates. For instance, in breast cancer treatment, adjuvant therapy can be crucial in preventing the disease from returning.

Potential Side Effects of Adjuvant Chemotherapy
While adjuvant chemotherapy is effective, it does come with potential side effects. Common issues include fatigue, nausea, and peripheral neuropathy, which is characterized by tingling sensations in the hands and feet. Hair loss is also a potential side effect, although methods like cold caps can help mitigate this.

Dr. Dangi notes that advancements in supportive care have significantly improved the management of these side effects. Medications are available to alleviate symptoms and enhance patient comfort, although some side effects, such as neuropathy, may persist beyond the treatment period.

Also Read: King Charles Experiencing Loss Of Taste As A Side Effect Of Cancer Treatment; Side Effects Of Chemotherapy

The Role of Preventative Chemotherapy in Cancer Care
Preventative or adjuvant chemotherapy is pivotal in enhancing cancer treatment outcomes. By targeting residual cancer cells post-surgery, it acts as a safeguard against recurrence, thereby improving the overall prognosis for patients. Continuous research and advancements in supportive care are making adjuvant therapy more effective and tolerable, offering renewed hope for patients.

In summary, Kate Middleton’s public health journey has shed light on the critical role of preventative chemotherapy in cancer care. Prince William’s recent updates provide a positive outlook, reflecting the resilience and strength of the royal family. Understanding adjuvant therapy’s purpose, application, and side effects is essential for appreciating the complexities of cancer treatment and the advancements that continue to offer hope to many.

Denise Welch tells Loose Women guest ‘don’t disrespect me’ in explosive Meghan Markle row

A discussion about the Royal Family on Loose Women descended into chaos when Denise Welch told a guest not to ‘disrespect her’.

On Monday’s episode of the ITV programme, royal correspondent and the late Queen Elizabeth’s former press spokesperson Dickie Arbiter appeared to speak about the one-year anniversary of King Charles’ coronation.

However, things took a turn when he mentioned the strained relations between Prince Harry and his family.

‘Harry has been rubbishing his family since they walked out in 2020,’ he said.

Jumping in, Denise asked him if he believed if there was a reason Harry ‘did such a thing’ after his interview with Oprah Winfrey was mentioned, as well as his explosive autobiography Spare.

Commenting how she believed the King ‘ruined a lot of’ Princess Diana’s life, Denise then mentioned how Meghan Markle was ‘continually trashed by the media, including by yourself’.

As the studio audience began clapping, Denise raised her voice and declared: ‘I am just sick to death of the bashing that this woman gets.

‘Hardly any of you mention Andrew and yet we continually berate this woman every day. I think when her children grow up and see what she goes through, I think Harry had a bloody good reason to write that book in my opinion.’

Responding, Dickie said he ‘wasn’t going to argue’ with Denise as that wasn’t the aim of his appearance but added that he believed she had ‘been reading too many tabloid stories’.

Hitting back, Denise was not impressed and told him not to ‘disrespect’ her.

‘I have read lots of stories about Meghan before and I think it is a disgrace the way she has been treated,’ she said.

After Dickie said the way Harry and Meghan had treated the Royal Family was ‘disgraceful’ and said the couple ‘didn’t have to walk out’, Coleen Nolan tried to diffuse the situation.

However, Denise was outraged: ‘Don’t have a guest on and… I can say what I like Coleen!’

Dickie then said that he would like to see a reunion between the King and his youngest son, with the conversation then calming down.

As the segment wrapped up, he and Denise then kissed each other on the cheek.

There was a mixed reaction to what unfolded from viewers, with some praising Denise and others saying she should have held her tongue.

‘Denise entitled to her opinion, but there’s a time and a place to let rip,’ Katie posted on X.

‘Denise Welch does not have the ability to listen or speak to people in a respectful way. Dickie Arbiter acted with class and everyone like he said is entitled to their own opinion. Just not in the appalling way she did,’ Chris shared.

‘If Dickie hadn’t rubbished Harry and Meghan, Denise wouldn’t have needed to step in and give the other side of the debate. Good on her,’ Tina added.

A long-time supporter of Harry and Meghan, this time last year Denise declared that she would prefer to ‘declare my allegiance’ to the young couple rather than the monarch.

During an episode of Loose Women in which the panel discussed the public being invited to ‘cry out and swear allegiance’ to King Charles and Queen Camilla, Denise said that while she ‘has nothing against the Royal Family’ she wanted to instead pledge allegiance to Harry and Meghan.

Celebrities are now seeing Meghan Markle “for who she is” following her three-day visit to Nigeria alongside her husband, Prince Harry. A columnist has hit out at the Duchess of Sussex and her “unsuccessful” popularity attempts.

Daily Mail columnist, Maureen Callahan, told GB News the “de facto royal tour” of Nigeria only “serves to knock them down further and further”.

In the West African country, the Sussexes championed their Archewell Foundation’s mental health initiatives for young people and promoted the Invictus Games which Nigeria joined for the first time last year.

Despite their attempt at trying to be seen, the columnist claims Meghan Markle has not been present at high-profile events in America, such as the Met Gala, despite Meghan’s reported connections with fashion mogul, Anna Wintour.

Maureen also told the GB News host that Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, is an “avowed monarchist” and claimed Wintour would “not have submitted an invitation the Montecito way”.

She then recalled a recent Vogue write-up which was published ahead of the Met Gala, which appeared to “throw shade” at Meghan. The columnist told TV host Nana Akua: “Vogue did an incredible write-up right before the gala of a dinner that Gwyneth Paltrow hosted at her Montecito estate, so a neighbour of Harry and Meghan.

“It was a Goop collaboration, and among her guest list were Oprah Winfrey and Ted Sarandos. So here’s Meghan attempting to get her little lifestyle brand off the ground, and Goop is clearly a model for her.”

The columnist added: “It’s further proof to any doubtful Briton that we here in America see Meghan Markle for exactly who she is.”

A first glimpse of the re-brand and new business venture from Meghan Markle was teased with pictures of a jar of strawberry jam labelled under her new brand ‘American Riviera Orchard’ which she sent to friends and influencers.

The release of strawberry jam from Meghan’s brand seems to fit with the couple’s latest Netflix plans. Meghan is going to launch a Netflix show which will “celebrate the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining, and friendship”.

It is not known how much items from the new lifestyle brand will cost, but the first social media video posted about her brand evoked a sense of the couple’s home in California and showed jam jars given as gifts in sunny baskets of lemons.

Harry and Meghan’s latest projects seem to be moving away from a previous focus on their time as working royals, as they film their next ventures for the streaming giant, Netflix.

Meghan Markle is set to avoid yet another UK return with Prince Harry next week as he attends an event to mark 10 years of the Invictus Games

Meghan Markle’s strained relationship with the Royal Family is showing no signs of subsiding as the Duchess once again misses out on a return to the UK.

It’s been confirmed the former Suits star will not be joining her husband Prince Harry when she returns to England for the 10th year anniversary celebration of the Invictus Games next week. Instead, she will be staying stateside with their children before she heads to Nigeria with the Duke shortly after.

With the former Suits star’s fragile relationship with Princess Kate well known, a resurfaced clip of her talking about their differences has been shared online. However, at the time, it appeared as though Meghan was hailing the “different personalities” of herself, Harry, Kate and Prince William.

    The Waleses and Sussexes

The message came during a joint appearance with Prince Harry and Waleses at the Royal Foundation Forum in 2018. Meghan said: “Thank goodness it’s such differing personalities and that everyone’s very communicative because that’s how you can really see bigger change. If everyone’s thinking the same way, how are you going to push the envelope? You know, how are you really going to break through in a different sort of mindset?”

She continued: “Changing mindsets and all of that is part of this communication that we have constantly. So, I think it’s part of the reason we’ve had so much success with Heads Together and whatever we end up working on moving forward.”

Things have dramatically soured since those words and now Meghan is seen to be actively avoiding any interaction with the Royal Family. It’s claimed her decision to steer clear of the UK next week shows she wants to “isolate herself from Buckingham Palace”.

Meghan Markle Reportedly Wants to Have Kate Middleton on Her Podcast

PR expert Ryan McCormick says she is more focused on her desire to establish an “independent presence” with this new venture, away from the Royal Family. “Meghan choosing not to join Harry in the UK may have to do with her focusing more efforts on her new company American Riviera Orchard,” he said.

“At the same time, the Duchess may wish to further isolate herself from Buckingham Palace. Why? Markle could be tired out from the Royals or see the close association as an obstacle towards further establishing an independent business and personal presence in the US.”
