McGregor was questioned on why, in light of the many postponements of his return match in recent months, he hasn’t been able to demand his UFC fight date.

The legendary UFC fighter Conor McGregor has apparently postponed his comeback match against Michael Chandler multiple times, but it is now scheduled for the summer. The bout between McGregor and Chandler was teased a year prior when they were coaching against one another in season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Combat sports reporter Ariel Helwani quizzed McGregor on his uncertain return date by asking him on The MMA Hour: “Anthony Joshua doesn’t wait for the call from Eddie Hearn, Tyson Fury doesn’t wait for the call from Frank Warren. Conor McGregor shouldn’t wait for the call from anyone, the date should be built around you.”

McGregor responded by saying: “It’s fair enough, I have two fights left on the contract and we’ve got to do something else or do we? I don’t know, surely. Nobody brings the figures I bring, or ever, all of these things will I’m sure be worked out and ironed out with my management staple Paradigm Sports in our next stage of relations.”

McGregor has out-lined his three-fight plan for this year, which starts with a bout against Chandler, a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz in September and a boxing return against Manny Pacquiao in December. The former two-weight champion insisted he is hoping to stay with the UFC despite not being offered a new deal.

“There’s been no talks about no deals,” he added. “Usually Lorenzo [Fertitta] would have had something tasty on my plate well ago, Lorenzo would have re-signed me two fights ago even. I know they know I’m up, but what way do you approach it? I’m a billionaire, Mr B. So what way do you come at someone like me?

“I just ride the wave and then I don’t know after that, but that’s my catalogue and my life. The UFC is what made me and gave me this, I love the company with all of my being. It’s the best and most iconic fighting organisation there’s ever been and I’m all over it, I f****ing love that. I’d love to carry it on, I hope.”

World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has parked a potential unification fight with Oleksandr Usyk and moved his sights toward fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua.

In a video published on social media on Tuesday, Fury — the WBC champion — said he was willing to offer Joshua 40% of the purse for a title fight before the end of the year.

“He doesn’t have any excuses now not to take it,” Fury said. “He can’t say I’ve low-balled him and offered him 20 or 30%. I’ve offered (his) people 40% — take it or leave it.”

The unbeaten Fury appears to have gone back on his decision to retire in the wake of beating another British fighter, Dillian Whyte, in front of around 90,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium in April.

Fury’s hopes of landing a fight with Usyk, who retained the WBA, WBO and IBF belts by beating Joshua in Saudi Arabia last month, were dashed when the Ukrainian said he did not intend to fight again this year.

Joshua had intended to work his way back up to being a three-time champion, maybe facing opponents in the second tier of the heavyweight division after losing three of his last five bouts.

Fury’s offer might turn his head, though, and Joshua promoter Eddie Hearn suggested the all-British fight could happen if Fury’s offer stood up.

“Personally, I don’t believe Fury is serious about this,” Hearn told British radio station talkSPORT, “but if he is … 100% we will sit down and make the fight.

“I would love to get really excited about this, because it’s the fight that I get stopped in the street for more than any fight that could be made and it’s a fight that AJ has wanted for a long time.”

Hearn said he has told Fury’s promoters to “get the details and the offer over to us and I’ll take it to AJ.”

“We didn’t expect this opportunity, but it’s a great opportunity to fight for the world title in the biggest fight in boxing and we will definitely look at it,” Hearn said.

Fury’s British promoter, Frank Warren, said they were set to send a written offer across to Hearn on Tuesday, with the proposed bout to take place “in the U.K. and hopefully in November.”

Anthony Joshua has firmly put himself in Dillian Whyte‘s corner for his WBC world heavyweight title fight against Tyson Fury – even though he ‘hates him’.

Fury will look to defend his title against the Body Snatcher Whyte at Wembley on April 23, after the highly-anticipated all-British showdown was finally agreed following weeks of speculation.

Rival Joshua revealed prior to Lawrence Okolie‘s cruiserweight victory over Michal Cieslak at the O2 Arena on Sunday that he will be keeping a close eye on the fight and is backing Whyte all the way.

The former heavyweight champion is also keen on facing Whyte once again, having first fought as professionals back in 2015 when Joshua sealed a knockout victory in the seventh round. Their rivalry is a long one, stretching back to their amateur days, and full of acrimony.

Yet Joshua told IFL TV: ‘It’s a good opponent [for Fury], it’s a good [title] defence against Dillian Whyte.

‘Dillian Whyte needs to come in, look at what Tyson Fury does and reacts to, and do the complete opposite. Maybe work the body, and be conditioned to go the distance.

‘But I hope Dillian trains hard [and] doesn’t underestimate Tyson. Because it’s his first shot for Dillian, I think he’ll be hungry, do you know what I mean?

‘This ain’t like his 10th time fighting for a title, you can have a little hiccup along the way. This is his first time fighting for the title.

‘I’m rooting for Dillian, even though I hate him, and I want to smash him one of these days.

‘Go on Dillian, I’m with you all the way.’

Joshua is currently gearing up for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, but Russia’s invasion of Usyk’s home country, Ukraine, may cause uncertainties regarding that bout.

The fight is set to take place in the late spring or early summer although no date or venue has been set.

And Usyk has returned to his homeland following its invasion by Russian forces, publicly decrying the war and pleading with Vladimir Putin to end the fighting.

‘I’ve learnt [that] sport and politics go hand in hand, and they’re powerful voices, and it’s good that they’re speaking up,’ said Joshua.

‘They’re not pushing for war, they’re saying “let’s find peace”.

‘So good luck to them, and that’s it really, before I go on and say something wrong.’

Whether it was a plea for due recognition or a powerful tool of self-motivation, Anthony Joshua was speaking from the heart as his world heavyweight championship rematch with Oleksandr Usyk looms ever nearer.

‘When Usyk beat me he became a pound-for-pound great,’ he said. ‘So what happens if I win here on Saturday night? Do I become a pound-for-pound great?’

A good question. One for which promoter Eddie Hearn had this answer: ‘Of course he does. Oleksandr shot to the top of those rankings the night he took AJ’s world titles. So if AJ wins them back here the same should happen for him.’

A complex argument. Usyk is actually rated pound-for-pound No 2 by Ring Magazine, the Bible of boxing. But his legacy case is underpinned by him becoming the first undisputed cruiserweight champion of the four-belt era — in that hugely competitive division — before moving up to heavyweight and lifting those WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO belts.

After so doing with a dazzling performance against Joshua, the Ukrainian war hero remains undefeated.

Britain’s golden Olympian — having been knocked out by roly-poly Mexican Andy Ruiz Jnr and then comprehensively out-pointed by Usyk — hopes to stake his claim by joining the elite band of three-time world heavyweight champions.

Namely Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko and Evander Holyfield, the last of whom went on to become the only four-time champion.

It will be a major achievement if Joshua can join them on that page of the history books by fighting his way to redemption against Usyk. But a place in the pantheon of all-time ring greats demands more, even, than being a triple crown winner.

It also demands close scrutiny of how that was achieved. Klitschko’s record — even though he was more dynamic and dangerous than his younger brother Wladimir in the ring and has carried his conspicuous bravery into their front-line defiance of the Russian invasion — does not put him the top 10 heavyweights ever.

Nor does the technicality of winning his first title by knocking out Herbie Hide before the WBO title became fully recognised.

Pound-for-pound greatness might require going on to meet and beat Tyson Fury.

Prince Harry shouldn’t be expected to attend any gatherings of the Royal Family, a leading royal commentator has claimed. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond asked whether the Duke of Sussex realised that by walking away from royal life he would be alienating himself from “pretty much everyone and everything” he knew in Britain.

She was commenting ahead of the Duke of Westminster’s wedding ceremony at Chester Cathedral on June 7, with guests including Prince William, who will also reportedly act as an usher.

However, it is understood Prince Harry is not expected to attend Hugh Grosvenor and Olivia Henson’s big day, with some reports saying the Duke and Meghan Markle had turned down their invitation. Others claim the Sussexes weren’t invited to avoid tension between the pair and Harry’s estranged brother, the Prince of Wales.

Ms Bond told OK! magazine: “This will be another pinch point for Harry, another illustration he has now excluded himself from the Royal Family and from most of his UK friends. It must be a grim reality for him.

“You do have to wonder whether he realised that by walking away from his royal life, he was alienating himself from pretty much everyone and everything he had known in the UK.”

She added: “You can’t ask your friends to choose between yourself and your brother – especially when your brother is a future King. It’s very sad.

“It’s very awkward for people, like the Duke of Westminster, who have been very good and close friends with both William and Harry for many years. But, as with divorces, choices have to be made and they are always difficult.”

The royal expert said the wedding will be another “graphic illustration” that Harry‘s life is now elsewhere and Britons shouldn’t expect to see him at any gatherings of the Royal family or their friends. She added: “That time has passed.”

The Duke of Westminster is a godson of King Charles and godfather to the Prince and Princess of Wales’s oldest son, Prince George. He is also said to be godfather to Harry’s five-year-old son Prince Archie.

Grosvenor recently topped The Sunday Times 40 Under 40 Rich List, boasting a fortune of £10.1 billion. He became an instant billionaire when he inherited his title and control of the historic Grosvenor Estate at the age of 25 after the death of his father, Gerald, from a heart attack in 2016.

His property company, Grosvenor Group, owns about 300 acres of land in Mayfair and Belgravia, as well as major city centre developments such as Liverpool’s ONE shopping centre.

King Charles was less than impressed when planning his Royal Wedding to Diana as there was one edible detail he wanted to change immediately.

Millions of people watched the then Prince of Wales and Lady Diana tie the knot in a lavish ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral on July 29, 1981 – but there was one edible detail that had to be swiftly altered because Charles “wasn’t happy”.

Dave Avery, the man who designed and made Prince Charles and Diana’s wedding cake for their big day, has revealed it was the prince who called him to make changes to the design – after Diana had approved it.

The head baker of the Royal Naval Cookery School, Dave, had designed the couple’s five-tier fruit cake which stood high at a tremendous 165cm.

Although Diana had first approved the designs with no changes, the baker then received word from the palace that Charles “wasn’t happy”. Speaking about the late Diana, Dave told Yahoo News: “She was beautiful. She was very pleasant, very polite, we had a few little chats.”

Thankfully, it wasn’t a criticism but a minor detail Charles wanted adding to the cake. As reported in the Mirror, in a documentary titled ‘Wedding of the Century’, the baker explained Charles wanted to add a military role to the cake – the Red Dragon symbol of Wales, which was Prince Charles’ call sign when he was flying helicopters with the Navy.

Dave’s final design was made up of five tiers and the bottom piece was so large that it took a whopping 12 hours to make. According to Wyza news, the cake creator was sworn to secrecy during the 14-weeks of making the cake, and was under pressure to make everything perfect.

Diana became the Princess of Wales when she married Charles at the age of 20 on July 29, 1981, at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Their wedding saw the largest TV audience for a wedding, with 750 million people in 74 different countries tuning in.

The pair separated in 1992 – before officially divorcing in 1996, one year before Diana died in a car crash in Paris.

Millions also marvelled at Diana’s wedding dress which featured an incredible 25-foot train and was a closely guarded secret prior to her wedding day.

The dress was made with silk taffeta fabric and antique lace, billed as the perfect dress for a ‘fairytale’ wedding. The 19-year-old bride-to-be had personally selected designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel to create the gown featuring 10,000 pearls and a 25- foot train.

It is thought the late Diana first tried on the dress in secret in an underground vault in the lower levels of an old Coutts bank once used to protect Queen Elizabeth’s coffers. Today the underground spot is beneath the original Hard Rock Cafe’s Rock Shop in London.

The company called Jenner their ‘summer muse’ as she made the most of the suit they described as ‘shiny satin.’

The cover girl, who went topless in a selfie on Monday, was seen near the ocean as she wore her light brown hair down over her bare shoulders. And in two photos, she had on no top as she used her hand to cover her chest slightly.

This comes after Kendall – who recently signed with Society Management – and her ex-boyfriend Bad Bunny reunited after the Met Gala earlier this month.

The two were seen side by side as they enjoyed cocktails at the Casamigos party in New York City. It was the Met 2 Met party hosted by Carlos Nazario, Emily Ratajkowski, Francesco Risso, Paloma Elsesser, Raul Lopez and Renell Medra.

And they were both at the actual Met Gala as they modeled on the steps, but they were not seen together at the event where Kendall stuck close to younger sister Kylie Jenner.

In December, Kendall and Bad Bunny ended their romance following 10 months together. People said at the time they had gone their separate ways.

A source told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Kendall and Bad Bunny have been doing their own things lately and things slowly started to fizzle out between them.’

The music artist became a suspect in the battery case, and it was later revealed that he got physical with the ‘wrong’ twin.

However, just one month after the altercation allegedly took place, both West and the twins – who own various restaurants and bars in L.A. – have gone completely quiet, law enforcement told TMZ in a new update on Friday.

Police informed the outlet that there isn’t clear evidence of the alleged assault and added that Kanye and the twins need to cooperate with cops for the investigation.

But the trio have not been responding when law enforcement reach out.

In an attempt to set the record straight while appearing on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast, the rapper explained why he got physical with a man, who he believed inappropriately touched his wife Bianca Censori.

After finding the man, who he alleged ‘grabbed’ his spouse, the father-of-four, who said he did not see the incident ‘directly’ happen, claims he told the man to ‘leave right now.’

‘I talked to the guy and said, ‘You just, you need to leave right now, and he was like, ‘Oh, ‘it’s okay.’ And, it’s like, no, it’s not okay,” the Stronger hitmaker recalled. ‘It wasn’t okay.’

The ex-husband of Kardashian continued: ‘He had to go to bed early… I tucked this n**ga in.’

When asked if the man might still be sleeping, West looked down and said: ‘I don’t know what happened.’

A report also surfaced on TMZ, claiming West punched one half of a set of twins who own numerous L.A. bars and restaurants, but reportedly took a swipe at the wrong one.

The twins are Mark and Jonnie Houston, who own L.A. hotspots such as No Vacancy, Good Times at Davey Wayne’s, Black Rabbit Rose and Break Room 86.

However, sources claimed there is no evidence to back up those claims, with TMZ’s sources calling Censori’s allegations, ‘totally off base and simply not accurate.’

Sources claimed that a man bumped into Censori in the Chateau Marmont lobby, which was said to be quite busy at that time.

The incident happened quickly and the man went on his way, heading outside to sit with some friends.

Shortly thereafter, West came up to the table to confront the man, ultimately punching the man in the face.

However, West apparently hit the wrong man – the other twin and not the one who bumped into his girlfriend in the lobby.

It isn’t clear at this time which of the twins ran into Censori and which one was ultimately punched by West.

The Houston twins are said to frequent the Chateau Marmont quite a bit though it’s unclear if they’ve interacted with West before.

The rapper left the hotel after the incident, long before police arrived, with cops reportedly wanting to talk to West after the altercation.

Despite no evidence being found, West’s team is adamant that Censori was assaulted that night.

‘This was a physical, sexual assault and any attempt to undermine the seriousness of what happened is repellent and vile,’ one of Kanye’s reps said in a statement.
