Prince William is said to be exluding his younger brother from succession planning with the Duke of Sussex thought to be ‘not trusted’
Prince William is thought to be shutting out his brother Prince Harry from succession talks as William is ‘adamant’ that the Duke of Sussex can not support the royal family.
Harry, who stepped down as a working royal in 2020, is said to have “zero chance” of being asked to help whilst his father King Charles undergoes cancer treatment and may need other senior royals to step in. Harry, whilst keen to support his family, is thought to be excluded from family planning with William leading the decision making.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, royal expert and author Tom Quinn said: “As a non working royal Harry is also no longer a counsellor of state and he is not being kept in the loop because there is zero chance he will be asked to help out. William is adamant that he does not want Harry involved in any aspect of succession discussions or in planning for counsellors of state to help out if and when it becomes necessary. And as the next in line what William wants William gets.”

Quinn also suggested Charles’ plans centre around the Prince of Wales. He told The Mirror William is at the heart of the succession planning”, but “no one trusts Harry”. He explained: “Charles is also aware that, as future king, William is at the heart of the succession planning that is taking place right now – officials had assumed Charles would remain healthy at least into his mid-eighties before succession planning would need to begin but in fact it has now begun and indicates perhaps that Charles’ cancer is more dangerous than we have been led to believe.
“Succession planning is highly secret and no one trusts Harry to be part of it for the simple reason that if he feels in any way slighted or not given what he feels he deserves he will run straight to the media.”
The King’s illness is believed to have led to his succession planning, with a “highly unlikely situation” involving Harry and Meghan returning to royal duties. Royal expert Jennie Bond said Harry would likely “uproot his family” if he was called upon.

Speaking to Heat magazine, she said it’s an “extreme precaution” to be planning for an instance in which Meghan and Harry would return to royal duties. However, she said: “But, from the rumours that he was willing to step in on some kind of official basis while the King is in treatment, Harry probably would uproot his family and fill in for the short-term.
“I don’t think regency is something he’d welcome, but he’d be able to do things his way for once.” Jennie pointed out that any involvement Harry had would be for a “very short period” as Prince William’s son George can legitimately become King when he turns 18 in seven years.
A source also told the publication that Harry and Meghan are finding it “hard” to hear King Charles is making concession plans without consulting them. However, they insisted the Sussexes are “not going to kick up a fuss”.
Prince William has spoken out following weeks of speculation about his wife Kate Middleton, who is off work for medical reasons following abdominal surgery earlier this year
Prince William has broken his silence on the wild conspiracy theories surrounding his wife, the Princess of Wales.
Kate is currently off work following abdominal surgery. Speaking at the time of her surgery, Kensington Palace said she would be off until around Easter time and they would not be providing updates on her condition. She was seen for the first time earlier this week, when she was photographed out driving near her Windsor home with her mum Carole Middleton.
But amid all the speculation, a spokesman for the Prince of Wales told People magazine: “His focus is on his work and not on social media.” It comes after Kensington Palace hit out at the ” madness on social media ” since Catherine’s operation.

Royal aides have been reluctant to give a “running commentary” on her condition or recovery from abdominal surgery on January 16. Despite Kensington Palace announcing the future queen would step back from all official duties during a two-week hospital stay and a period of convalescence at home until after Easter, Kate’s long-awaited return was plunged into chaos yesterday when the Army announced she would appear at a Trooping the Colour rehearsal in June. Tickets were offered for sale online for what would have been the princess’ first officially-announced public engagement since her surgery.
Hours later the Ministry of Defence was forced to remove from the website any mention of the princess’ involvement after news of the June 8 run-through was not signed off by the palace. Royal officials were caught unaware by the announcement, leaving aides to insist they were solely responsible for confirming diary arrangements for the Prince and Princess of Wales
A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “The timelines provided on the Princess’ hospital stay and planned return to royal duties were very clear from the outset. Nothing has changed.” The palace reiterated a previous statement given last week saying: “The princess continues to be doing well.”
Meanwhile, Kate’s uncle Gary Goldsmith – who is currently appearing on the new series of Celebrity Big Brother on ITV1 – also hit out at wild conspiracy theories about the royal’s absence from the public eye – and says she needs “space” to recover. Asked what he makes of wild conspiracy theories surrounding his niece’s health, Gary said: “I think they should leave her alone right now because there’s a reason why they’re [family] not talking about it and they are giving her a little bit of space.
“I just think it’s fundamentally wrong and if it was happening to anybody else they would think to give them some space. But because Kate’s Kate, she does such an amazing job, there’s always interest in her. She’s the number one royal for a reason and I just beg people to give her some space.”
US gossip site TMZ obtained images of Catherine being driven in a 4X4 Audi close to Windsor Castle this week. It is believed that her mother Carole Middleton was driving the car and that the pair were taking the royal’s children to school. The last time Kate was seen in public was on Christmas Day when she joined the rest of the royals on their annual visit to Sandringham church.
The past 12 months has seen both Prince William and Kate cement their roles as Prince and Princess of Wales – and according to a body language expert, it has seen them ditch one specific gesture
The Prince and Princess of Wales have ditched a specific secret trick after undergoing a huge royal change, according to an expert.
Both William and Kate have stepped up their duties in recent years, not least since they were both granted the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales in the days after the late Queen’s death in September 2022.
With this new title, many have remarked on Kate’s growing confidence at royal engagements compared to how she appeared at events when she first married into the Royal Family and became the Duchess of Cambridge. And now, body language expert Darren Stanton believes both she and William have stopped one particular move, which they used to carry out to gain comfort from each other.
Many have remarked on Kate’s growing confidence(

He explained: “Kate’s confidence has grown dramatically in recent years. When Kate was first introduced as a public figure, we would see her play with her hair a lot and look to William for support during joint interviews or events. We would see this from William too, as they both wanted reassurance from each other. There’s a sense they weren’t very confident early on and looking into each other’s eyes was their way of checking in with each other. They both wanted to feel at ease.”
Now, Darren believes when Kate is out and about, she rarely shows any signs of nerves and hardly ever needs to look to William for reassurance. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, he said: “We get a sense she’s happy to be there and wants to prove she’s here to get on with her job. She has an inner strength and is very motivated to do the best she can.
“This is shown through holding her head high, being active in conversations and engaging in strong eye contact with people she’s never met before. Kate didn’t have this confidence previously, and the confidence she has is quite subtle.
“It’s not too overwhelming, and it’s clear her role comes naturally to her. Kate always has strong eye contact with anyone she’s communicating with and never comes across as slouched. She rarely crosses her arms either – and that is normally a giveaway of someone feeling out of place with a lack of confidence.
Kate’s voice tone and pitch are important too. In early interviews of Kate, her voice is quite low in volume and tone. Her voice is now a lot louder and higher in pitch, which suggests quite a change in her confidence. It’s a completely different Kate from before.
“Kate’s walking is a lot more confident, too. She doesn’t look down at all – she looks straight ahead with her shoulders back. It shows she isn’t intimidated by others and is in a good place with herself.”
Prince Harry and Meghan LIVE: Duke and Duchess’ one big obsession exposed by royal insider
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are “stage managing” the events in their lives, a royal expert has claimed.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “stage managing” everything to suit themselves, a royal commentator has claimed.
Arthur Edwards, Sun Royal Photographer told the Sun’s Royal Exclusive host, Matt Wilkinson, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been controlling the narrative around their lives, down to when their son Archie was born.
Edwards said: “Harry’s baby Archie was almost teething before we found out it was born.
We were led to believe that she was gone into labor at two, when the baby had been born many hours earlier.
“We were led to believe it was going to be a home birth and it was at a hospital, the whole thing was just stage managed to suit them.”
Edwards added that Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding was the “worst Royal Engagement” he ever covered as Harry was determined to keep the newspapers away from it as much as possible.
Referring to some of the things that were published about Meghan Markle prior to the wedding, Edwards added: “Some of the things that were said about Meghan were pretty unfair and so he was angry and I felt you know we were punished for that and in fact I never got one picture in the paper published from that day.”

Prince Harry ‘turns the tables and paps reporter’ in hilarious Klosters exchange
Prince Harry turned the tables on the royal reporter who revealed the royal dressed up as a Nazi at a fancy dress party during an hilarious exchange in a loo in Klosters. Harry apologised for wearing a swastika armband to a pal’s bash in Wiltshire in 2005, acknowledging it was a poor choice of costume. The Duke of Sussex detailed the shocking aftermath in his book, Spare.
The Sun broke the story under the front page headline “Harry the Nazi” with an image of the prince in a brown shirt at the party, which was also attended by Prince William, who reportedly went dressed as a lion.
Royal expert and author Duncan Larcombe broke the story along with colleague Jamie Pyatt after one of the revellers offered to sell them photos from the fancy dress party, which was themed “colonial and native”.
Mr Larcombe told fellow royal expert Kinsey Schofied on the US based presenter’s Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered podcast that the party-goer flicked through to the last photo in a series of images which showed Prince Harry in the brown shirt and red Nazi armband.

Prince Harry to avoid wedding because of Prince William: ‘Can’t bear being in same room’
Prince Harry has turned down an invitation to the wedding of a close friend of his, and a royal expert believes it is because he is not ready to be in the same room as Prince William.
Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster is marrying Olivia Henson at Chester Cathedral on June 7.
Hugh is a good friend of both of the royal brothers, meaning the Prince of Wales could also be present at the ceremony.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle issued warning over future ‘faux royal tours’
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were warned that their “faux royal tours” abroad could “deepen” the ongoing rift with the Royal Family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex embarked on what was described by many as a “successful” three-day trip to Nigeria earlier this month to promote mental health for soldiers and empower young people.
And they also hinted that there could be more tours on the horizon after Harry told PEOPLE that it’s “hugely important for us to meet directly with people, supporting our causes and listening, in order to bring about solutions, support and positive change.”
But now a PR expert has claimed trips of this nature could have an impact on the Montecito couple’s already strained relationship with the Royal Family.
PR specialist Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR told the Mirror: “These faux-royal tours could deepen their rift with the Royal Family, if not handled correctly.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s biggest PR disasters, according to royal experts
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s biggest PR disasters have been laid out by royal experts.
Every week in ‘Pump Up The Jam’, royal experts Kinsey Schofield and Cristo Foufas deep-dive into the Sussexes. The most recent episode focused on the couple’s PR missteps over the years.
The royal experts said that the first PR nightmare would “define (the Sussexes) for the rest of their lives”.
After stepping back as senior royals, the couple sat down with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 for a tell-all interview about why they decided to move to America and their issues with the royal family.

A royal commentator believes the Duchess of Sussex wanted to distance herself from her husband’s homeland so stayed away from his last visit.

Meghan Markle made the decision to cut ties with Britain due to a “huge rift” between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, a royal commentator believes.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, did not travel with her husband Prince Harry when he visited the UK earlier this month to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
The youngest son of the King made a speech at St Paul’s Cathedral to hail the achievements of the competition he started for wounded servicemen and women when he was a working royal in 2014.
But none of the Royal Family attended the event, with relations reportedly strained between Prince Harry and King Charles and Prince William following the publication of his tell-all memoirs and appearance in a Netflix documentary.
Meghan Markle also did not fly to the UK with her husband, and royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that the mum-of-two chose to stay away due to her poor approval rating in the country and the “rift” between the Sussexes and the Royal Family.
Meghan Markle may have felt the ‘huge rift’ in the Royal Family was not worth encountering in the UK (Image: Getty )
He said: “It was not a question of supporting him [Harry], she [Meghan] was not coming here because her ratings in the polls are terrible.
“The Royal Family has this huge rift, so there are all sorts of reasons why she chose to stay away.
“It made total sense not to accompany Harry to St Paul’s Cathedral, it would have been unthinkable a few years ago that this would happen but it has.”
Despite not making an appearance with Harry, his wife did fly to Heathrow to make a transfer onto a jet bound for the Nigeria where the couple enjoyed a successful royal-like tour.
Prince Harry is reportedly desperate to reconcile with his family
Prince Harry ‘reaches out’ to royal family behind Meghan Markle’s back
Prince Harry is reportedly willing to push his grievances aside to reunite with estranged family.
The Duke of Sussex is set to return to the UK for celebration of 10 years of Invictus Games next week, and it is expected he will be paying a brief visit to his cancer-stricken father King Charles.
However, there’s still uncertainty around his potential reaching out to Prince William, as a source revealed the warring brothers “haven’t had a real conversation in years”.
Speaking to Us Weekly, a second insider affirmed, “The brothers haven’t spoken [but] there is potential for that. [Harry] would be more than happy [to].”
They also claimed the Spare author attempted to contact the royal family in a bid to invite them for a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.
Tensions have been at an all time high between Harry and William after the former decided to call time on his position in the royal family alongside wife Meghan Markle in 2020.
The couple went on to disparage the Firm on several occasions since then, leading to brewing animosity between the two parties.

Does Kate Middleton’s new right-hand man look familiar?
At the end of February, the Princess of Wales, 42, brought on Lt. Col. Tom White to lead her staff as private secretary, and the news had social media users noting his resemblance to tennis star Roger Federer. While Princess Kate has not been seen in public for months amid her private recovery following abdominal surgery on Jan. 16, photos of White have sparked online chatter around the resemblance.
“Oh my, he looks like Roger Federer,” one commenter wrote on X with a heart-eyed emoji, and multiple users agreed that the similarity was uncanny.
Last summer, Princess Kate hit the court with Federer, 42, for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Ball Boys and Girls at Wimbledon program, and the two sat courtside together on the second day of the tennis championship. The Princess of Wales is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, and Federer told The New York Times he enjoyed watching Wimbledon with her.
“It was so fun sitting next to Princess Catherine. I know her quite well,” said the tennis legend, who retired from the sport in 2022. “She is an avid tennis fan, and she plays herself.”

Although White is new to Princess Kate’s team, he is very familiar with working for the royal family, most recently serving as the late Queen Elizabeth’s equerry.
Though the Queen scaled back her public appearances in her later years amid the COVID-19 pandemic, White was spotted alongside her at the modified Trooping the Colour celebration in the summer of 2021 and again at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

The aide was also on hand to greet former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson at Balmoral Castle on Sept. 6, 2022, where he resigned from the position to pass the role to Liz Truss. The meetings were Queen Elizabeth’s final audiences before her death two days later at age 96.
According to The Telegraph, White joined the Buckingham Palace team in 2020 after serving with the Royal Marines. While serving in Afghanistan in 2009, the soldier, then 22, helped stop a school bombing by the Taliban after wires were spotted under a classroom door before detonation.
The Telegraph reported that White went to Princess Kate’s inaugural Shaping Us National Symposium in London in November and was poised to fill a vacancy open for over a year. The Princess of Wales previously leaned on Hannah Cockburn-Logie as private secretary from 2020 to 2022, before she reportedly departed for personal reasons. Cockburn-Logie replaced Catherine Quinn in the royal role, who was Kate’s private secretary from 2017 to 2019. At the time, the Daily Mail reported that the two left things on the “best of terms.”

The Telegraph described the idea of Princess Kate appointing White as “something of a return to tradition for the household, reflecting the royal family’s close ties to the military and a link with her late grandmother-in-law.”
Princess Kate isn’t the only royal to tap a new leader for her team. At the end of February, her husband, Prince William, brought in Ian Patrick to run his office. A former diplomat, Patrick worked at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in international peacekeeping in Bosnia and Herzegovnia. He is also a trustee of the charity Crohns and Colitis U.K.
On the heels of those appointments will be a CEO-type appointment to head up the couple’s joint teams. The hire has yet to be announced.

However, Prince William, the heir to the throne, has been putting all his efforts to ensure that Catherine makes a smooth recovery. He has directed the Kensington Palace to not share any further updates about Kate’s health, considering her privacy.

Speaking to New Idea, a palace source said that the Prince of Wales’ top priority is the Princess’ health. “He has been the driving force behind the decision to maintain the strictest privacy protocols around Kate.”
Kate, 42, has sought shelter at the family home Adelaide Cottage, with her husband William and their three children.
While she is thankful for the time she has been granted so far, Catherine is determined to attend an important Royal event.
According to the source, Kate Middleton is eager to make a balcony appearance for Trooping the Colour in London on June 15, even if William rejects her plan.
“Kate’s told William that with her doctor’s approval, she is determined to appear at that event,” an insider said. While the father of three tried to keep her away “from all the news and crazy speculation” about her ongoing absence from the public eye, the source added that “it’s impossible and Kate’s definitely feeling the pressure to put an end to all the nonsense.”
After Kate’s abdominal surgery in January, Kensington Palace in statement clarified that she “is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter”.
However, she has crossed that deadline, raising public concerns about her genuine well-being.
Kensington Palace issues fresh statement about her return
Last week, in a revised statement, the Palace stated that Kate would not make a comeback to work until she gets the “green light” by her medical team.
“Her continuing absence is creating a vacuum ready to be filled by wild conspiracy theories on social media,” according to our source.
Despite rising public concern about Kate’s health and whereabouts, “stubborn” William refuses to let her be pressured into making any public appearances, even though she has privately shown a willingness to do so.
“He’s completely against being forced to commit to any kind of deadlines,” according to New Idea insider. “But Kate knows they’ve passed their Easter promise and it’s setting off alarm bells.”
PRINCE HARRY and other royals are seen in the same way as any other celebrity, journalist Sandro Monetti tells Express.co.uk.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are to return to California “without a peace deal”, claims CBS host and friend of the couple, Gayle King. The couple has spent the last two weeks in the UK uniting with the Royal Family to mourn the death of the Queen. Ms King added that while efforts were made on “both sides”, adding that “big families always go through drama, always go through turmoil. It remains to be seen – are they going to be drawn closer together or are they going to be drawn apart? I have no idea, I have no inside information on that, but I will tell you this: It was good to see Harry standing with his family.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have divided opinion in the UK in recent years after their unceremonious departure from the Royal Family in 2020. Journalist Sandro Monetti, who contributes royal analysis for titles such as CNN and MSNBC, tells Express.co.uk that Harry is seen positively by many in the US.
He also explained how Americans see members of the Royal Family like “any other celebrity”.
Mr Monetti said: “I think Harry is seen almost as a man of heart in the US, as someone trying to find his place in the world.

“When members of the Royal Family come here they are just seen as another celebrity, there’s the fascination with wealth and power. Americanis an aspirational country and is interested in wealth and power, so that’s why they are fascinated by the royals.”
OnePoll UK carried out a survey of 2001 adults in the US to ask them about their view of Meghan after a recent interview she did and the release of her podcast episodes on Spotify, and found that many people like her. Of those polled, around 40 per cent said they thought “more favourably of her,” and a further 30 per cent said they thought “much more favourably.”
Only 10 percent said they had a less favourable view of her and around 20 percent said they felt no different.

Mr Monetti fears, however, that Harry and Meghan’s hopes of mending relations with the Royal Family could be undone by the release of the Duke’s memoir.
The journalist added: “My big worry is the Harry book. You don’t get an advance as big as that unless there’s going to be some negativity in it, that’s just the way publishing and the media works.
“Harry should pulp all those copies of the book and abandon the project. I know it has been delayed but I don’t see how shortly after the death of the Queen and ahead of his father’s coronation it helps.
“But if there’s a particular thing he wants to get off his chest he can do it. It will be fascinating to watch. Those beautiful pictures of Meghan Harry, William and Kate together mourning with the others…I hope we aren’t looking back at them in the future and thinking ‘look how good it was before the book came out.
“All of us come from families that have internal arguments. I am just one of those people who feels it can be better solved through communication.”
It was reported recently that Harry has delayed the release of the book. The Telegraph quoted a source who said the plan to publish the book in late 2022 now won’t happen.
