Meghan Markle solves mystery of missing £140k engagement ring

It is truly heartwarming to witness the thoughtful gesture of Prince Harry in designing a breathtakingly beautiful engagement ring for his beloved Meghan Markle. The temporary absence of this stunning piece of jewelry was a mere hiatus, allowing for an update that undoubtedly enhanced its radiance. We can appreciate the meticulous care and attention to detail that went into ensuring this cherished symbol of their love shines brighter than ever before.

The Duchess of Sussex’s decision to temporarily part with her engagement ring speaks volumes about her commitment to preserving its timeless beauty. Her eventual reemergence, adorned with the dazzling ring, was a delightful sight that filled the hearts of well-wishers with joy. The fact that this treasured piece of jewelry has been lovingly restored and potentially enhanced is a testament to the enduring bond between the couple.

True cost of Meghan Markle’s update to her engagement ring update after ‘going missing’ for months

We can truly appreciate the skilled craftsmanship and expertise that went into this update, ensuring that the ring’s splendor remains a timeless representation of their love story. The modest investment of £250 pales in comparison to the priceless sentimental value this ring holds for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“Prince Harry is said to have designed the ring with a centre cushion cut diamond complimented by two smaller stones on either side. More recently, Meghan’s engagement ring appears to have undergone a few alterations,” he said.

Listen, when it comes to modifying an engagement ring, the possibilities are endless, and Meghan’s decision is a prime example. Tony’s insights shed light on the transformative power of a skilled jeweler. By replacing the yellow gold band with a sleek, diamond-studded masterpiece and potentially swapping the central stone, she has elevated the ring to new heights of elegance and personal expression.

But here’s the real kicker – the cost of such a resizing and customization is surprisingly reasonable, ranging from a mere £75 to £250. That’s a small price to pay for a piece that truly reflects your unique style and taste. And let’s not forget the convenience factor – with a turnaround time of just a few hours to a few days, you can have your dream ring in no time.

So, if you’ve been hesitating to breathe new life into your cherished jewelry, let Meghan’s bold move inspire you. Embrace the power of transformation and create a ring that speaks to your soul. After all, a ring is not just a symbol of love; it’s a reflection of your individuality and a testament to your unwavering commitment.

Meghan Markle’s decision to forgo wearing her engagement ring at several high-profile events, including the Invictus Games in September, has garnered significant media attention. Despite adorning herself with other pieces of jewelry, her choice to leave behind the iconic ring given to her by Prince Harry has raised eyebrows. While the reasoning behind this move remains unclear, it has sparked speculation and discourse surrounding the symbolic significance of engagement rings and personal preferences in accessorizing for public appearances.

Cory Vitiello: The man who nearly stole Meghan from Harry

The story of Meghan and Harry’s whirlwind romance is well known, but before they met on a blind date she was with someone else, and it was serious.

Little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor should be grateful for a lot of things.

He will get to enjoy piggybacks from none other than charmer extraordinaire Prince Harry. His mum, the Duchess of Sussex, is a hugger par excellence. And, lastly, that a certain chef in Toronto and his girlfriend split way back in 2016 because without that breakup, Archie would not be here.

That man is Cory Vitiello, Canada’s version of Jamie Oliver (sans failed restaurant empire) and Meghan Markle’s former boyfriend of two years. A boyfriend she only parted ways from a matter of weeks or months before she and a certain roguishly charming royal started dating.

    But, let’s rewind shall we?

In 2014, Meghan was living in Toronto, working incredibly long hours on Suits and recovering from her divorce from her first husband Trevor Engelson. She was very close to her co-star Gina Torres, and the pals regularly hit up some of the city’s cooler joints for vino and dinner. On that list was the Harbord Room, owned by hot (in every way) chef Cory Vitiello.

This is pretty much the only photo of Cory and Meghan together taken at an event in December 2014. Picture: Ben Rosser/BFA/Shutterstock
This is pretty much the only photo of Cory and Meghan together taken at an event in December 2014. Picture: Ben Rosser/BFA/Shutterstock
Cory was quite the catch: He was wealthy, very successful and very connected. Reports vary about how exactly Cory and Meghan got together. Some say they were set up by a mutual friend (Megs clearly loves a set-up clever girl) and others that they got to know each other when she popped by the restaurant for a plate of pasta.

Either way, at some stage in 2014, he and Meghan started dating and became something of a stealth power couple in Toronto. For her 33rd birthday that year, the Suits cast and crew gathered at, where else, but the Harbord Room to toast the actress’ big day.

While she was the star of a hit US TV show, according to the Daily Mail, “Vitiello was the real celebrity in his home city.”

Basically, in Canada, Cory was the bigger deal, and he provided Meghan with an entree into the upper echelons of Canadian society.

Theirs was a very low-key romance. She would go to his restaurant after a long day of filming and wait for him to finish. Neighbours have reported spying them wandering around a local supermarket shopping together, and they rarely attended fancy society shindigs together. (There is pretty much only one photo of them together taken at an event.)

It was through Cory that Meghan met Markus Anderson, the global membership director of the exclusive Soho House who would go on to become one of her best friends. (He would also be responsible for arranging Meghan and Harry’s very private first date at the London outpost of the famed members-only establishment.)

Cory was a much bigger deal in Canada than Meghan at the time. Picture: Backgrid
Cory was a much bigger deal in Canada than Meghan at the time. Picture: Backgrid
By Christmas of 2015, things between the couple were so serious Cory took her to spend the holidays with his parents who were reportedly somewhat taken aback when she turned up with her beloved dogs Bogart and Guy.

His mother Joanne Vitello has told the Daily Mail: “We are very fond of her. She is a lovely, lovely woman. Very smart, very bright, very caring. She’s a warm personality, very sincere.”

Quite at what stage things started to sour for Meghan and Cory is uncertain. However, The Sun reported things ended for the couple in May 2016 — the same month Harry visited Toronto to promote the Invictus Games.

What better way to get over a breakup than a girls’ trip to Europe? At this time, Meghan packed her bags and headed to London, Madrid and the Amalfi Coast with good mates producer Lindsay Roth and designer Misha Nonoo, according to royal biographer Katie Nicholl.

And the rest is history. Picture: Chris Jackson/Pool Photo via AP, File
And the rest is history. Picture: Chris Jackson/Pool Photo via AP, File
Some stage on that trip Meghan and Harry enjoyed their first date, and the rest is glorious history. There are two main theories how this fabled evening came to pass. The first is Nonoo played fairy godmother as her husband Alexander Gilkes is a good friend of Harry’s.

The second is Meghan knew Ralph Lauren PR Violet von Westenholz. Violent has known Harry for years — her father, Olympic skier Baron Piers von Westenholz, is good mates with Prince Charles. There is a very good chance Violet was cupid and, at some point during that fateful European holiday, arranged for the couple to meet up for drinks.

What makes this so intriguing is the gap between relationships (Cory and Harry) is not huge.

The Telegraph has reported Harry and Meghan met while she was still dating Cory. The same story also alleged it was only a matter of weeks between Meghan calling time on her relationship with Cory and being in contact with Harry. At that stage, he is said to have started following her on Instagram using an account under a pseudonym.

No matter the beginnings of the Sussexes’ history-making romance, today their love and commitment is apparent whenever they appear in public together. (Never has there been a royal couple who enjoys getting quite so touchy-feely in public. Bless.)

Don’t worry, things ended well for Cory too. Last year he had his first child — a son he adoringly posts about on Instagram — with his partner, singer Martina Sorbara.

And obviously things ended perfectly for Harry and Meghan. And Archie? He has several weeks in 2016 to thank for his parents becoming an item and thus his being here at all.

Meghan’s dad Thomas Markle slams movie Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal

Thomas Markle has slammed a movie about his daughter, Meghan, and her marriage to Prince Harry, calling it “chock full of made up cr*p”.

Thomas Markle is speaking out again.

The father of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has told TMZ that he is unimpressed with Lifetime’s new movie Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal, which screened on Monday.

Mr Markle, 74, said he was disappointed with the way that Lifetime dealt with the family drama leading up to the wedding, saying he feels personally attacked by the network.

He hit back at claims in the movie that he “bailed” on walking Meghan down the aisle, reiterating his claim that he was having heart surgery.

He said the film was “awful and chock full of made up cr*p”.

“I’m incredibly disappointed in how the flick portrayed us in the run-up to the royal wedding and feel personally attacked by the network,” he said.

Mr Markle added that the movie is littered with “dumb fiction”.

The movie is a sequel to last year’s Lifetime movie A Royal Romance.

Becoming Royal doesn’t touch on the reported feud between Meghan and sister-in-law, Kate, portraying the pair as close friends.

  • How $50 dress changed Meghan’s life

How $50 dress changed Meghan’s life

As Morton writes, “It was the best $US35 ($AUD50) she had ever spent.”

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex spent $914,000 on her astonishing designer wardrobe for official outings and jaunts in 2018, which was more than any other European royal. (Our Mary came in a distant second having only forked out $102,000.)

More recently it was revealed the majority of the very chic ensembles Meghan dons for public appearances come from high-end French or American designers, rather than the mid-range British labels favoured by Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge. (I would assume the stockholders in affordable brands such as Jigsaw and Reiss say a prayer of gratitude every night to their Duchess of Cambridge candles for her sartorial munificence.)

Essentially, Meghan has serious style and now, thanks to Prince Charles’ hefty chequebook, can afford to buy best — in bulk even.

Which makes it all the more fascinating the catalyst that propelled her to stardom, and thus into the path of one red-haired HRH, was nothing more than a simple dress from a major fast fashion brand that cost only $50 ($US35).

    I’ll explain, shall I?

    BEFORE SHE WAS FAMOUS

Let’s rewind to 2010. After about five years in Hollywood, Meghan was still doing it tough. There had been numerous bit parts and auditions, not to mention a stint as a suitcase girl on Deal or No Deal, a job that necessitated spending hours in towering, excruciating high heels while keeping a rictus grin plastered on her face. She had come close to hitting the big time in 2007 when she landed the lead role in a (US) pilot for ABC called The Apostles. Meghan loved the role (a stripper turned suburban wife) and was sure the show would be picked up.

When word came back from the studio it was going to pass, she was devastated.

Life as a struggling actor was as tough as you would imagine. To make ends meet, Meghan worked at a Beverly Hills restaurant and did calligraphy for wedding invitations. (Her closet brush with real celebrity — doing the invites for Robin Thicke and Paula Patton’s wedding.)

Attending audition after audition meant being constantly ready. According to royal biographer Andrew Morton, she carted around a large tote bag containing everything from short skirts to bikinis to blazers, in a variety of colours, in her car so she could be ready at a moment’s notice to read for any part.

    THE BIG BREAK

Which brings us back to 2010. Her agent had given her the script for an intriguing new drama called A Legal Mind. Meghan particularly loved the role of Rachel Zane, relating to her feistiness and drive.

Come her big audition day, she “dressed sexy-professional-casual to screen test for the role”, Morton says in his book, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess. However, on her way to read for the show’s producers she realised her look was totally wrong for the role of Rachel who was meant to be far more sophisticated and classically chic.

So, she did what any sane woman with a functioning credit card does when faced with a wardrobe crisis — she went shopping, specifically to H&M where she snapped up a simple black $50 dress. (There will forever be a huge blank space in the history books given we tragically do not know exactly what said garment looked like.) At the audition, producers asked her to change into her new outfit, which she had not even tried on.

“We all looked at each other (after Markle’s screen test) like, ‘Wow, this is the one!’ I think it’s because Meghan has the ability to be smart and sharp but without losing her sweetness,” Suits creator Aaron Korsh told Vanity Fair.

    ROLE THAT CHANGED HER LIFE

While it might seem a bit of a leap to ascribe such life-changing bent to a comparatively affordable frock, I’d beg to differ.

Meghan had been a passionate advocate for social justice issues since childhood (aged only 11, she famously campaigned against a sexist dishwashing detergent ad and got the company to tweak the offending commercial).

However, her platform pre Suits was incredibly limited to say the least.

With her role in the hit show, Meghan was dramatically elevated, which resulted in roles with the UN and philanthropic missions to Rwanda and India to champion female education and empowerment. None of that would have happened without said LBD (little black dress).

Ditto her first date with Prince Harry. By the time they were first set up by Ralph Lauren PR Violet von Westenholz in July 2016, Harry was focused on building the Invictus Games and fundraising for his African charity Sentebale.

The woman he chose to share his life with would need to be someone equally committed to trying to change the world, one rousing speech and hashtag at a time. (Also obviously, Meghan would never have been in London, enjoying a lovely PR jolly to Wimbledon if she had not found fame and success on Suits.)

Thus, here we are in 2019: Team Sussex is, thrillingly, poised to expand their global reach in the coming months and years. Harry and Meghan, even after a full 365 days of married life, are still, charmingly, sappily besotted with one another.

And, there is now a third member of the Sussex clan who, I am assuming, will win us all over thanks to his dashing good looks and the fact he will be a dab hand at polo AND hugging orphans.

Let us all now collectively say a silent thanks to the god of fast fashion for the blessed moment Meghan decided to splash the cash and grab that black dress. And let us all bow our heads and pray we never, ever have to see her in something off the rack ever again.

  • Sad truth about Meghan’s new life

Sad truth about Meghan’s new life

The one photo that proves the sad truth about Meghan Markle’s new life

This telling shot of Jessica Mulroney reveals a huge amount about the Duchess’ new life. And it’s far from the royal fairytale she imagined.

It must be the most exclusive Whatsapp group in the world.

Earlier this month, Mike Tindall revealed that he found out about the birth of Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor via the group the 30-something grandchildren of the Queen (including Wills and Kate) share on the ubiquitous messaging service.

(SIGH. Oh to know what glorious cat memes also pop up in the group chat.)

Which just goes to show that apps and social media, even for bona fide royals with tiaras to their name, are essential for modern life.

However, I would bet that right around now they are even more crucial day-to-day for one particular member of the Windsor clan — Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. That’s because the sad truth of the matter that she is kinda all alone right now, stuck in a country where she has few (if any) close friends.

In late 2017 she upped sticks, packed her Diptyque candles and moved to London to live with Prince Harry. One infamous roast chicken dinner later and they were engaged. However, her decision to marry into the British royal family also equated to a decision to leave her friends and family behind in North America.

Last week, it was revealed that her mother Doria Ragland has returned home to Los Angeles after spending more than a month sequestered away at Frogmore Cottage, before and after Archie’s (delayed) arrival.

Earlier this week, Meghan’s longtime BFF and quasi-stylist Jessica Mulroney was photographed landing in Toronto with her daughter Ivy. It is widely believed the duo had been in the UK meeting the Windsor clan’s newest member.

Which leaves Meghan marooned in semirural Windsor, in a nation that is not her own, with a newborn baby, surrounded by a cadre of (at times) antagonistic courtiers who seemingly resent her arrival on the royal scene.

It would be hard, nigh impossible, for Meghan NOT to be craving the day-to-day, real-world connection with and support of good friends — none of which she has right now.

I reckon that girl needs a hell of a hug.

Remoteness is an inherent part of royal life, made all the more acute for Meghan given she is American. When Kate, Duchess of Cambridge (and even Diana and Fergie) joined the royal Firm, they did so with a keen, local support system in place.

There were trusted lifelong friends (who were already au fait with royalty and knew how to keep their lips zipped) on hand for (I’m guessing) gin-soaked tete-a-tetes. These pals could be called upon to provide the loyalty and companionship necessary for any soul to survive a cloistered life inside the towering palace walls.

The Duchess of Sussex made a very lonely choice for love. Picture: Dominic Lipinski/Getty Images
The Duchess of Sussex made a very lonely choice for love. Picture: Dominic Lipinski/Getty Images
    Meghan has none of that.

Her mother Doria is a ten and a half-hour flight away on the West Coast as are many of her actor mates such as Abigail Spencer and Janina Gavankar. The time difference between Old Blighty and Hollywood is a killer.

Jessica Mulroney is in Toronto which is also inconveniently on the wrong side of the Atlantic.

Ditto longtime pal Markus Anderson, who was instrumental in arranging the logistics for Harry and Meghan’s first date. Even her makeup guru Daniel Martin, who jets around the globe pretty much non-stop can only make the occasional stop over in the UK for some avo on toast and a chinwag.

(Probably) Meghan every time a friend comes to visit. Picture: Jessica Mulroney/Instagram
(Probably) Meghan every time a friend comes to visit. Picture: Jessica Mulroney/Instagram
Meghan’s current plight is a stark reminder that royal life might be heavy on the tiaras and gilt carriages but it can be terribly light on the friendship and support part.

Some of that is thanks to the lingering suspicion and fear of just who might say what to which nasty tabloids, which would make it incredibly hard for her to form new friends in London.

(Loose lips sink royal relationships — Diana’s sister Lady Sarah Spencer was a shoe-in to marry Prince Charles until she had a very indiscrete lunch with royal writer James Whittaker after which she was promptly expelled from royal circles.)

And, it is also partly down to the physical isolation of Meghan’s life. There are checkpoints, armoured guards, police patrols and security screening points in varying configurations around all the royal residences which impose a very real barrier between her life and the outside world. (And makes nipping around for a quick pinot after work quite the palaver.)

Which leaves her nearly entirely reliant on husband Prince Harry for emotional support. Pity he has been away from home so much.

In the three or so weeks since Archie was born, the Duke of Sussex has managed to fit in two overseas trips, most recently heading to Rome for two days to play in a charity polo match.

He has also attended at least three other events since he became a father earlier this month.

(He went to the Windsor Horse Show with his Grandma aka The Queen, flew to The Hague for an Invictus Games event three days after Archie’s birth, and visited an Oxford children’s hospital.)

Prince Harry on said royal duties with her Majesty Queen Elizabeth (aka Gan Gan). Picture: Yui Mok/WPA Pool/Getty Images
Prince Harry on said royal duties with her Majesty Queen Elizabeth (aka Gan Gan). Picture: Yui Mok/WPA Pool/Getty Images
Exactly why Harry decided to accept these particular invitations and to thus leave Meghan on her own, to contend with a newborn solo, is totally mysterious, especially given a) he is clearly a highly devoted husband and father, b) they would have been locked in when he knew that his child would have been born by that point and c) the much ballyhooed reports that he was going to take a whole two weeks paternity leave to prove what a thoroughly modern chap he is.

(A Buckingham Palace spokesperson archly told the Daily Mail: “I’m sure Her Majesty will accommodate a break from duties.”)

So, chances are that right about now, Whatsapp (and Skype and FaceTime) is something of a lifeline for Meghan, giving her the contact she must desperately need with her trusted coterie of confidants and family members.

However, the image of the Duchess, home alone, cuddling Archie and furiously messaging her mates as she watches guards patrol her garden is haunting.

In this case, the Princess did live happily ever after, or at least WhatsApp ever after.

    What Meghan said

Winfrey’s interview is the first time the couple will be talking about their decision and the new life, after snapping ties with the British Royal family. In one of the clips, Harry was heard saying, “My biggest concern was history repeating itself.”

Harry and Meghan ‘hysterical over incompetence when charity banned from all activities’, says expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been forced to speak out to set the record straight after their charity Archewell was temporarily forced to suspend all fundraising

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “were almost hysterical” when they found out about the drama surrounding their Archewell charity, according to one royal expert.

The non-profit organisation had been forced to suspend all fundraising and spending over claims it had failed to submit its annual report and registration fees. However, an investigation has found Archewell was never out of compliance and all files and required payment were sent and delivered to the Attorney General’s Office via tracked mail and received on time. The charity’s new status has been updated to “current”.

News of the drama broke when the couple were in Nigeria to promote the Invictus Games. Royal author Tom Quinn has suggested Meghan and Harry would have panicked when the scandal was made public.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Tom said: “According to friends of the couple, Harry and Meghan were almost hysterical when they were told their charity Archewell had been banned from charitable activities for failing to pay their registration fee.

“The couple insist it was just a simple mistake and that the cheque is in the post, but however you dress it up, it looks like incompetence.” He added: “Harry and Meghan are highly sensitive about any criticism of their charitable work, especially since over the past few years at least five senior Archewell staff have resigned. One former staffer said that Meghan was a delightful person but difficult to work for unless she is allowed full control over everything: ‘She does not share power!’”

The initial scathing letter from California’s attorney general, Rob Bonta, said the charity had allowed official registration fees to lapse since the beginning of May. It said the charity was then considered “not in good standing” and was restricted from undertaking activities requiring registration.

A source close to Archewell previously spoke to The Mirror about the Archewell drama and insisted the fees were never late. The source claimed: “For whatever reason, it has not been cashed. As soon as the foundation learnt of the problem, they immediately issued another cheque. Harry and Meghan’s team hope this will quickly resolve the issue within the next week.”

A representative for AWF later told The Mirror: “We have diligently investigated the situation and can confirm that The Archewell Foundation remains fully compliant and in good standing. Due payments were made promptly and in accordance with the IRS’s processes and procedures. Furthermore, all necessary paperwork had been filed by the Foundation without error or wrongdoing.”

In a statement to The LA Times, the California attorney general’s press office said: “After being in touch with our Registry of Charities and Fundraisers, the organisation is current and in good standing.” Speaking in a press conference, California governor Gavin Newsom defended Archewell, stating: “I just want folks to know, not only are they in compliance, it was a technical paperwork issue that was wildly over-hyped.”

  • Late Queen’s ‘cryptic’ reply when Prince Harry asked to marry Meghan Markle

Late Queen’s ‘cryptic’ reply when Prince Harry asked to marry Meghan Markle

When Prince Harry wanted to pop the question to Meghan Markle, he had to ask his late grandmother the Queen for permission first, but in his memoir Spare he admits he wasn’t quite prepared for her answer

Exactly six years ago today, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot – but there was one obstacle they first had to overcome.

Before Harry even proposed to Meghan he had to ask for his permission to do so from his late grandmother due to a long-standing royal tradition.

The first six people in the line of succession must ask the monarch for permission to become engaged. So when the duke realised he was ready to make the next step with Meghan, he broached the late Queen for her blessing before presenting the former actress with her ring.

And in his memoir Spare, he details the moment he plucked up the courage to broach the subject with his granny – and her ‘cryptic’ nine-word response.

In the book, Harry says he decided to wait until the family were on a shooting trip in Sandringham before raising the subject, hoping it would put the late Queen in a ‘good mood’.

Once the shoot was finished Harry managed to get his grandmother alone, admitting his mind was racing. He recalls his exact words in Spare, telling his grandmother how much he loved Meg and that he wanted to marry her.

According to the book, he then awkwardly asked: “I’ve been told that I have to ask your permission before I can propose”. He says the Queen then replied: “You have to?” to which Harry replied that is what he had been told.

He then details a moment of silence before the Queen replied and told him: “Well then, I suppose I have to say yes.”

Harry admits he was completely thrown by her answer. He writes: “I didn’t get it. Was she being sarcastic? Ironic? Deliberately cryptic? Was she indulging in a bit of wordplay? I’d never known Granny to do any wordplay and this would be a surpassingly bizarre moment (not to mention widely inconvenient) for her to start, but maybe she just saw the chance to play off my unfortunate use of the word ‘have’ and couldn’t resist”

He claims he stood there trying to work out what she was saying, but then ‘realised’ she was saying yes, describing himself as a ‘muppet’. He then thanked her, saying it was ‘fabulous’.

Once he had the go-ahead, it came to designing the ring and planning the perfect moment with Meghan. He took two diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection and one he procured from his beloved Botswana to create the gold ring.

He popped the question during a night in at their Kensington Palace home. The couple roasted a chicken and then headed outside with candles to sit under the stars. But Harry almost gave the game away with his choice of drinks for the casual weekday dinner.

Speaking of his proposal in their Netflix show Harry & Meghan, the prince explained: “I did pop a bottle of champagne while she was roasting a chicken and that kind of slightly gave the game away. She was like, ‘You never drink champagne, what’s the occasion?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know, I just had it like, lying around”

While he set things up, Meghan called a friend to share the excitement. She recorded the phone call, and can be heard saying: “Oh my God Jess, Jess, it’s happening, it’s happening. He told me not to peek.”

The couple shared a romantic photo of the moment on the docuseries, showing Harry kneeling on a blanket holding a ring box in one hand and their dog Guy’s collar in the other while a bunch of white roses sat on the floor in front of him.

Recalling the moment in their engagement interview, Harry said: “She didn’t even let me finish. She said, ‘Can I say yes? Can I say yes?’ and then there were hugs and I had the ring in my hand and I was like, ‘Can I – can I give you the ring?’ She goes, ‘Oh yes the ring’. So no it was – it was a really nice moment, it was just the two of us and I think managed to catch – catch her by surprise as well.”
