Meghan Markle brutally snubbed as a-list designer says they ‘prefer’ Kate Middleton

Meghan Markle has been snubbed by a popular British designer who voiced their admiration for Kate Middleton but said they would not want to work with the Duchess of Sussex

Meghan Markle has been brutally snubbed by an A-list designer after they refused to work with her.

Famed British fashion icon Julien Macdonald has openly admitted his preference for the Princess of Wales over Meghan after being quizzed on who he would like to collaborate with. The designer was in attendance at the Fragrance Foundation Awards in London when he opened up about the Royals he dreams of dressing.

Julien – who was once crowned British Fashion Designer Of The Year – didn’t hold back when he gave his take on who he wouldn’t work with either. He slammed Meghan as he admitted she is not on his style list, despite her love of fashion and her huge lifestyle following who draw inspiration from her outfit choices when she hits public events.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said: “Kate’s amazing… I’d love to dress her in one of my dresses. I’ve got a great relationship with Camilla, the Queen. She’s incredible.” He was then asked if he would like to see Meghan wearing one of his designs to which he promptly replied: “No, I prefer Kate and Camilla.”

Julien also admitted that Camilla will ask him for style advice when they encounter one another as he added: “She does every now and then. When I see her at different events, I always say, ‘You look really nice, Camilla’, and she’ll say, ‘Do you like it? Oh, I’m glad you approve’.”

The scathing comment comes after celebrity stylist Rochelle White previously pointed out the differences between Kate and Meghan’s individual style. She compared Meghan’s fashion choices to the more traditional styles seen being worn by Kate, as she pointed out that the Princess of Wales opts for a more classic theme to her styling, with fitted dresses and tailored trousers while Meghan takes a more relaxed and personal approach to her fashion looks.

She explained how “Meghan has more of trendy edge when it comes to her style,” and noted that on the other hand “Kate is very classic and chic in her fits and style with traditional pieces thrown in.”

Rochelle went on to describe how “with Meghan, I feel she is very much herself and has elements that really showcase her personality and personal style,” adding that the Duchess clearly likes “off the shoulder tops, shorts, co-ords and racer back tops, she doesn’t hide what she likes and what works for her.”

‘Tens of thousands’ of Kate Middleton ‘get well soon’ messages flood Royal post office

The Royal Family’s Court Post Office has been flooded with messages of support for the Princess of Wales since she went public with her cancer diagnosis earlier this year

The Royal Family has been inundated with moving get well soon messages and other offers of support since Princess Kate’s cancer news, it has been revealed.

Kensington Palace says the development comes after royal offices have been inundated with “tens of thousands” of cards from wellwishers since news of her diagnosis was made public.

Princess Kate has been “out and about” with her family in recent weeks as she begins preventative treatment for cancer, it has been reported. Officials have stressed that Kate’s outings should not be mistaken as a sign of her wellness, warning that she needs time and space to recover. The Mirror contacted Kensington Palace for comment.

In an emotional video in March, Kate said she would be withdrawing from public life so she could focus her energy on her recovery. But away from the public eye, concerned Brits have continued to send get well soon letters and cards.

The team at the Court Post Office – which deals with all letters sent to the Royal Family – say they have been “so touched” by the affection throughout her battle with the disease. They added that the team has struggled at times to deal with the volume of correspondence as they seek to reply to everyone.

A spokesman at Kensington Palace stressed that Kate being “out and about” should not be confused with her returning to work. She recently underwent major abdominal surgery and is currently undergoing “preventative chemotherapy” for the condition.

Though Kate has not undertaken any public engagements this year, she is continuing to work from home. One area taking her attention is a new report calling for businesses to introduce more family-friendly practices at work.

The Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood – which she is the “driving force” behind – argues that investing in early childhood could generate over £45.5billion per year for the British economy.

Her spokesman told the MailOnline: “The work of The Prince and Princess’ projects is ‘always on’…early childhood is a huge priority for The Princess and so she has been kept fully updated throughout the development of the Taskforce’s work and she has seen the report.”

A senior royal aide added: “The Princess of Wales was the driving force behind the business task force. She has been kept up to date since the inception of the task force and she has read the report and been briefed on it. This is a clear commitment she has made throughout her life of public service that this will be the focus.”

This commitment will continue when she returns to duties, they said, but stressed that at present, the main thing the princess needs is the “space and the privacy to recover”. She will only return to work when she is given the “green light” from doctors, the spokesman said.

Prince William and Princess Kate’s live-in nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo joined the Royal Family when Prince George was a tot at just eight months old.

While the three children’s parents are known for being ‘hands-on’, the nanny can help alleviate the pressures that come with hectic work schedules, lifestyles, or circumstances – especially given that Princess Kate is recovering from her cancer diagnosis.

Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo has been the nanny to the Wales children since each of them were small, having started working for the family in 2014 – 10 years ago.

According to Daily Mail’s FEMAIL, newly qualified nannies can earn up to £42,000 for a non-residential role while some earn up to an eye-watering £120,000 after a few years’ experience.

Maria, who trained at the famous Norland College in Bath, appears to have settled well into royal life. The famous college where she studied is widely considered to be one of the best institutions in the world.

In order to be accepted onto the £15,000- a year course you must have at least three Cs at A-Level and you have to show a passion for caring for young children with the college only welcoming around 100 pupils a year.

The subjects that are taught at the school have previously been described as a mix between ‘Mary Poppins and James Bond’ as students will learn everything a variety of skills including self-defence, martial arts and even getaway driving.

Alongside her prestigious training, Ms Borrallo would have also learnt several rules in her job – including having daily outdoor playtime, strict screen time, and no shouting,

One royal commentator claimed last year that Ms Borrallo will have a major impact on their lives in the future.

Royal commentator, Pauline Maclaran claimed she will have a “strong influence” over the children and will help keep them grounded. She added: “I think royal nannies play important roles in the lives of royal children. Apart from looking after their everyday needs and security, they can also offer a lot of support in developing the children’s cognitive and social skills.”

The King, the future Monarch and Prince Harry all formed enduring bonds with their respective nannies.

Helen Lightbody, who joined the royal household a month after King Charles was born in 1948, cared for the Monarch for eight years.

As an adult, Charles continued to visit his nanny, who was known as “No-Nonesense Lightbody” and invited her to his 21st birthday party as well as his investiture as Prince of Wales in 1969.

EXCLUSIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘struggle to conceal delight as they trump William and Kate’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have ben continuing their public appearances, as William and Kate have withdrawn from royal duties in recent months as Kate continues her cancer treatment

Harry and Meghan ‘struggle to conceal delight as Royals postpone work and they’re seen as the more fashionable version of William and Kate’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent Nigeria trip and efforts to build their profile might have them being seen as ‘the more fashionable version of William and Kate’.

As the Prince and Princess of Wales have withdrawn from royal duties in recent months as Kate continues her cancer treatment, it appears the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stepped up their appearances despite not being working royals any longer. The couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020, but they have kept their royal titles and a recent three day trip to Nigeria was likened to a royal tour by critics. Now, Buckingham Palace has announced that the Royal Family is to postpone engagements that may appear to divert attention or distract from the election campaign.

Royal author and expert Tom Quinn exclusively told the Mirror : “Harry and Meghan, the renegade Royals, will struggle to conceal their delight that the Royal family has decided to postpone much of its work in the run-up to the general election at the beginning of July.”

    Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Harry and Meghan’s recent Nigeria trip was deemed a success, and thought to paint them as ‘a more relaxed, more fashionable version of William and Kate’
He added: “Freed of the normal constraints on working royals, Harry and Megan are canny enough to know that this gives them a chance to fill the gap – that in the coming weeks the focus is bound to shift to them. You only have to look at photographs of the couple during their recent Nigeria tour to see that that they are determined to be seen as a more relaxed, more fashionable version of William and Kate. That’s why they make sure they are constantly seen holding hands and emphasising their commitment to the young and disadvantaged.”

He concluded: “It’s a clever pitch from a couple who want to be seen as the fun alternative to the fusty, out of touch and now largely shutdown Royal family.”

Harry and Meghan’s renewed focus on their personal appearances is thought to have worried William and Kate, as Tom Quinn previously told the Mirror: “The senior royals, especially William and Kate, are terrified of one thing above all others: that Harry and Meghan will continue to organise trips across the world until they are seen as the public face of the royal family. The fear is made worse because William knows that with his wife stricken with cancer he cannot compete and he can’t stop the Meghan and Harry rollercoaster.”

Harry and Meghan, who stepped down from the royal family in 2020, have also hinted that there could be future trips for the couple, as in a message thanking the people of Nigeria following their return home, they described it as “the first of many trips”.

Sergio Perez accuses Kevin Magnussen of ‘DANGEROUS driving’ as he questions why the Danish racer was not penalised after their ‘monster’ crash at the Monaco Grand Prix

Sergio Perez has accused Kevin Magnussen of ‘dangerous driving’ after their massive collision on the opening lap of the Monaco Grand Prix.

The Mexican, starting 16th, was tagged by the Haas of Magnussen heading uphill after the first corner. The Dane’s front left caught Perez’s rear right, sending the latter into the barriers in a huge 160mph crash.

Perez rebounded off the wall and into the other Haas of Nico Hulkenberg, as his Red Bull became a pinball before it finally came to rest on the circuit.

His car was written off with just one wheel left attached, though the strength of today’s cars was shown off, as he walked away without injury.

However, the Red Bull star was not happy that Magnussen didn’t receive any penalty, for what he felt was causing the crash.

Only one wheel was left attached on Perez’s car following the crash with Kevin Magnussen

He said: ‘This was more dangerous driving, just to keep it flat out knowing that there was going to come contact at some point.

‘I think that was some dangerous driving. We need to ask for a reason why it’s not been investigated because without an investigation we don’t get a reason why it wasn’t a penalty. I’m really surprised.’

Magnussen, who is currently on 10 penalty points, two short of a race ban, felt Perez should have left him space.

Perez though responded: ‘You sometimes find yourself in a position and you have to take a very quick decision to say: “There’s only one way of it and it’s going to be contact, so I’d better back out.” But he will go for the contact.’

Magnussen’s team-mate Hulkenberg, who also retired following the collision, said that the crash was ‘unneccessary’.

In a mad start, the two Alpines also tangled, sending Esteban Ocon airborne on the entry to the tunnel. He landed safely but retired from the race under the red flag due to the damage his car suffered.

Ocon was handed a 10-second penalty, but he didn’t restart the race in any case.

Carlos Sainz, running third for Ferrari, stopped at Casino Square as he appeared to go in too deep, after contact with Oscar Piastri at the start.

Stewards confirmed Sainz would resume in third at the restart, with drivers having not progressed enough around the first lap to establish a new order.

The race resumed without Perez, Magnussen, Hulkenberg and Ocon following the crash.

Speaking on Sky Sports, former world champion Jenson Button suggested Perez and Magnussen should have given each other more room.

‘It’s surprising [Perez] knew [Magnussen] was there and didn’t move to the left a little bit more,’ Button said.

‘It was a horrible impact and because you’re going at such a high speed there you end up about 300 metres away from the incident.

‘It’s a real strange one. You’ve got to say both guys should have given each other more room.

‘Is it a racing incident? It kind of is because Checo knew Kevin was there and maybe should have given him a little bit more room, but if a car is coming to the right doing 150mph, I’d back out.’

Max Verstappen was nowhere near in contention for winning the 2024 Monaco GP, having started the race from sixth position. Before the lights went out, he knew he was in for a dull outing, but his comments post-race, which mirrored those of Lewis Hamilton’s in the past, suggest that he was more bored than he initially thought he would be.

Verstappen and Mercedes driver George Russell appeared together for an interview in the aftermath of the Monaco GP on Sunday. The Dutch driver said,

“I think George and I are gonna go for a run now. My god that was terrible. So boring”.

Overtaking in Monaco is difficult – sometimes regarded as near impossible – which takes away the element of racing away from the Grand Prix. Verstappen now knows how it feels to be stuck in a position for 78 laps, with nothing he can do to change the outcome of his race.

However, F1 drivers complaining how boring the Monaco GP is isn’t new. A three-time winner in the Principality, Lewis Hamilton once said, “I would be shocked if anyone was awake at home because I would have been asleep on the couch.”

For world champion-level drivers like Verstappen and Hamilton, driving in the same position for two hours without any clear opportunity to overtake would be frustrating. However, when they are in the lead, the mood changes.

Verstappen won in 2021, and again in 2023, and he didn’t complain about the race being too boring then. Similarly, another person who won’t complain about the 2024 Monaco GP being lackluster, is Charles Leclerc.

Charles Leclerc closes the gap to Max Verstappen

After five years of heartbreak in his home race, Charles Leclerc finally stood on the top step of the podium in Monaco. In doing so, he also closed the gap to Max Verstappen in the Drivers’ Championship Standings.

The Dutch driver is now just 31 points ahead of Leclerc. And while that gap is still substantial, Verstappen is wary of the races to come.

After his dull affair in Monte Carlo, Verstappen admitted that he expects a similar outing in Canada in two weeks. Red Bull is struggling to deal with the kerbs and bumps on track. And Montreal having a similar layout on that front, could make things difficult for the Milton-Keynes-based outfit once again.

Meghan Markle has just been blamed for ‘taking’ Prince Harry away from Britain and becoming the ‘face of the blame’ for everything that’s been destroyed since then.

These admissions and accusations have come through Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries director Liz Garbus.

She shared everything after being asked if the Harry & Meghan series could ‘help’ the duo’s standing with ‘British naysayers’ and the media.

She responded by telling the LA Times, “One of the things that I explored in the show was that, in many ways, this was Harry’s journey.”

“That Harry had this very fundamental primal trauma as a child and felt very clearly that the royal family did not protect his mother.”

“And, as a child who loses a mother, there are things that aren’t forgivable,” she also added.

“And I think that Meghan was on this journey with Harry, as opposed to her pulling Harry out of something that he would have stayed in were it not for her.”

“Meghan really became the face of the blame for ‘destroying’ something that the British public felt was so important to them.”

“And then [add] throwing every misogynistic and racist trope into that—as has historically been the way women have been positioned in these kinds of narratives,” she admitted before signing off.

A fashion enthusiast at heart, Lewis Hamilton has a wide array of watches from luxury brands. Turns out, his sponsors aren’t far behind. Thomas Hilfiger, also known as Tommy Hilfiger in the fashion world, has similar passions. The 73-year-old recently appeared at the Monaco GP. Accompanying him was his $1.8 million-worth Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 Tiffany.

Hilfiger wasn’t the only one sporting ultra-luxury designer watches at the Monaco GP, though. Popular Instagram handle Insane Luxury spotted several celebrities with some extravagant timepieces.

Among those were Hollywood star Alexandra Daddario, Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, PSG’s Kylian Mbappé, and Prince Albert II. Hilfiger eclipsed them all, though, as his Patek Philippe turned out to be the costliest.

Prince Albert wore a Tag Heuer Monaco skeleton. The 39 mm titanium chronograph retails for $10,750, as per Tag Heuer’s official website.

Mbappe had a $77,000 Hublot adorning his wrist. The Big Bang Unico Rainbow is a 44mm titanium flyback chronograph with eye-catching VIBGYOR colors. Van Dijk wore an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak while Daddario sported a classic Tag Heuer Carrera 36 Pink.

Meanwhile, the Prince was also one of the dignitaries who was felicitating the podium finishers. A racing fanatic himself, he got emotional while handing the winner’s trophy to home favorite Charles Leclerc.

The Ferrari driver, keeping up with sponsorship duties, was wearing a Richard Mille. As per Wrist Aficionado, the RM 72-01 Chronograph retails for a whopping $525,000. It turns out that the expenditure was all worth it for the watchmaker.

Charles Leclerc proves his worth in gold for Richard Mille

Charles Leclerc started racing in F1 in 2018 with Sauber before earning a place at Ferrari the next year. In all these years, Leclerc tasted success several times but failed to even land on the podium of his home race in Monaco.

That was until this past weekend when he climbed the top step of the podium. The spectacle was one to savor not just for him but also for Ferrari’s official timekeeper Richard Mille.

Luxury watch brands and Formula 1 are a match made in heaven. Ever since the 1960s, both have had a relationship that continues to this day. While some trace it to the inherent need for timekeeping in the premier class of motorsport, others link it to the common interests held by rich individuals.

Currently, Formula 1 has Rolex as its official timekeeper. Meanwhile, teams like Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, and McLaren have their own. Tag Heuer has been one of Red Bull’s trusted sponsors since 2016. Mercedes, on the other hand, has IWC as a partner since 2013.

Richard Mille is the only brand that is associated with two teams. They signed a deal with Ferrari in 2021 while the partnership with McLaren has continued since 2016. Girard-Perregaux joined Aston Martin in 2021, while Alpine signed a deal with H. Moser & Cie. in 2024.

Formula 1 has never been a stranger to conspiracy theories. And with Red Bull and Max Verstappen looking vulnerable for the first time in the ground-effects era of the sport, fans have gone through the archives to propose the latest F1 conspiracy theory. This time it involves Charles Leclerc and his love for the Piano.

As it turns out, Leclerc made an ominous prediction about Verstappen’s struggles this year, during the 2023 season. The Monegasque released three Singles in 2023, named after the Grands Prix he wrote/recorded them at – AUS23 (1:1), MIA23 (1:2) and MON23 (1:3).

In 2024, Max Verstappen has already lost these three races. He retired on lap 3 of the Australian GP, after mechanical issues, leading to Carlos Sainz winning his third career Grand Prix.

At the 2024 Miami GP, Lando Norris’ revised MCL38 powered him to his first F1 win, seven seconds ahead of Verstappen. Meanwhile, last weekend’s Monaco GP saw Charles Leclerc win his home race for the first time, with Max Verstappen struggling in his RB20 for mechanical grip on the narrow, twisty, and bumpy streets of Monte Carlo.

While it may be all fun and games for the F1 community on social media, the concerns are serious for Red Bull. The season has changed shape since the Miami GP with Max Verstappen’s title defence now in some serious doubts.

Charles Leclerc could pose a realistic championship threat to Max Verstappen

McLaren and Ferrari have both slashed the gap to Red Bull from last year. This time around, the top three look evenly matched with Red Bull having a slight advantage in terms of out-and-out pace.

That being said, the Monaco GP has exposed the RB20’s limitations. The car struggles for grip in low-speed corners as well as on bumpy tarmac and kerbs. On the other hand, McLaren, who were also a team with a significant low-speed disadvantage, have seemingly bolstered its low and medium-speed performances with the Miami GP upgrades.

Furthermore, even Ferrari have thrown themselves into the mix. After the Monaco GP, the iconic Italian team sits only 24 points away from Red Bull in the Constructors’ Championship.

Moreover, Leclerc himself has marked himself out to be Verstappen’s championship rival. With Red Bull’s struggles, the entire championship battle could depend on a developmental race between the three top teams.

Track characteristics are also going to play a crucial role in determining how much of an advantage Red Bull can maintain against their rivals. Hence, with the upcoming Canadian GP being similar to the Monaco GP in terms of tarmac and kerbs, Max Verstappen has already written his chances off.

Just like the eight races before it, the Monaco GP was a forgettable one for Mercedes. However, there was one saving grace for the Silver Arrows, and it came through Lewis Hamilton. The Ferrari-bound driver broke yet another record of Michael Schumacher. This time it was for the most number of fastest laps for a single team (54). Schumacher achieved 53 with Ferrari.

Despite it being a team effort, Mercedes did not commemorate the historic feat. The omission came as an unpleasant surprise for Hamilton fans who called the team out on social media. Gradually, the criticism turned into an online protest.

Hamilton broke the record on Sunday, the 26th of May. It wasn’t until his fans lashing out at the team for two days that the Brackley-based outfit finally succumbed to the pressure. On May 28, a Tuesday, Mercedes finally released a graphic on X with the details of the top five drivers. The caption read, “Another record broken.”

Hamilton fans, however, were in no mood to let Mercedes get away with it easily. The comments are filled with responses that take a swipe at them making the post only after the pressure got to them. One fan even suggested it was an attempt to save face.

Another fan sarcastically congratulated them for finally waking up.

Lewis Hamilton announced his 2025 move to Ferrari before the start of the 2024 season. While Toto Wolff maintained it didn’t surprise him, he admitted the timing of the announcement certainly caught him off guard. That may have led to some cracks developing between the driver and his team.

Lewis Hamilton gives up in the fight against George Russell

Once Lewis Hamilton departs, George Russell will become the de facto senior driver at Mercedes. However, it looks like the team is in the mood to fast-track that arrangement even before Hamilton departs.

Mercedes managed to produce only one upgraded front wing at the Monaco GP. With no option but to put it on one car, they picked Russell’s.

The move may have further driven a wedge between Mercedes and Hamilton. Speaking after the race, the 39-year-old responded to his teammate yet again outperforming him. Hamilton admitted the trend might continue over the season.

Meanwhile, Mercedes is making next to no progress while McLaren has solidified itself in the third position. If Lewis Hamilton continues to face cold treatment with no signs of success in sight, relations could further turn sour. That is not what he must be looking forward to before ending an iconic partnership that produced 15 world championships.
