Kate Middleton’s Biggest Scandals Reveal A Different Side Of The Royal Family

Princess Kate Middleton has done things a little differently when it comes to her biggest controversies.

Middleton has dealt with numerous health issues in different ways than her family has.
Middleton addressed a photoshopped image controversy, facing the issue head-on unlike other royals.

When it comes to the British Royal family, privacy is of paramount importance. While some of their personal health battles have been made known to the public, much has been shrouded in secrecy. On top of this, revelations about their medical history as well as the extent of their personal scandals tend to arise either against their will or in the years following their passing. But Princess Kate Middleton seems to be altering this narrative in a way that both honors the history of the family and brings it into a new era.

In this article, we will delve into Princess Kate Middleton’s 2024 cancer diagnosis and her other pubic scandals and how they differ from the ones of other members of her family, such as Meghan Markle, Queen Elizabeth II, and Princess Diana.

How And Why Princess Kate Middleton Revealed Her Cancer Diagnosis

The British Royal family has faced numerous health issues over the years and has been extremely secretive about it. Queen Elizabeth II, for example, had dealt with mobility issues she chose not to address with her adoring fans. The same was true for her husband, Prince Phillip, who dealt with heart-related conditions as well as infections. Then there’s the mental health struggles of Princess Margaret which were largely kept a secret.

The Royal family’s relationship with sharing health information with the public really started to change when King Charles III was crowned. In February 2024, it was announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer. However, Buckingham Palace failed to provide the details. The same was true for Princess Kate Middleton on March 22nd, 2024 when she revealed that she too had been diagnosed with cancer. However, the Princess’ striking revelation followed a lengthy withdrawal from the public eye. While news of an abdominal surgery was made public, everything else was shrouded in secrecy. This caused numerous conspiracy theories to arise, including one that suggested Prince William was having an affair.

    Kate Middleton's Biggest Scandals

When The Princess finally broke the silence about her cancer diagnosis, she went into detail about how she wanted to wait to tell her children first. In a rare and candid moment, a member of the Royal family was honest about her health journey. And despite endless rumors about what was happening, Kate Middleton chose to do this on her own time. The Daily Mail even called her “emotional” revelatory video “unprecedented”.

    Kate Middleton

In a video explaining her struggle, Middleton said the following:

“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”

This marked a striking difference between how many in her family have dealt with such issues. This includes her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, who, alongside her husband has been criticized for profiting off of the Royal scandals they’ve been embroiled in. That would certainly help explain why Markle’s net worth is so high after leaving the family.

However, as of this writing, Prince Kate Middleton’s cancer story is ongoing. Therefore, much can still be revealed.

    Inside Kate Middleton’s Photoshop Scandal

Before Princess Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis revelation, she was embroiled in a controversy regarding a doctored photo of her and her children. This occurred on Britian’s Mother’s Day in March 2024. It was also during the time when Princess Kate hadn’t been seen publicly in months and there were serious concerns as to her whereabouts. According to The New York Times, image retouching experts quickly figured out that there were numerous issues with a photo the Royal family posted of Middleton with her three children. Even the Associated Press claimed they could not use the image in their publication as it appeared to have been digitally altered.

Numerous publications believed that the image had been altered to make Princess Kate look healthier, as unconfirmed rumors of her health were swirling. This wasn’t the first time Buckingham Palace posted an image on social media that was digitally altered. According to Town and Country,

    Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

It was later revealed to be doctored in order to replace an image of Middleton with one of her looking healthier. According to Town and Country, the image of Queen Elizabeth II with her many grandchildren on her 97th birthday was touched up in editing. The same was allegedly true of images that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle posted, specifically of the 2019 christening of their son Archie. The photographer denied this to be true, but that didn’t squash rumors.

In either case, neither Queen Elizabeth II nor Prince Harry and Meghan Markle addressed the issue head-on. But Princess Kate Middleton did. Following the reveal that she had doctored the Mother’s Day image of her and her children, the royal said the following:

“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day.”

Inside Kate Middleton’s Notrious Health Issues And Forgotten Image Scandal

In 2021, Princess Kate Middleton was hit was a nude photo scandal. La Provence, a French magazine, published long-lens photos of the Princess enjoying a private holiday with her husband. The incident was reminiscent of a similar scandal involving Prince Williams’s late and beloved mother, Princess Diana. Although, Princess Diana famously laughed off her own sunbathing photo scandal. Contrarily, Princess Kate and Prince Williams full-on sued. The French newspaper was forced to remove the photos but they still exist online due to the persistence of other publications.

Although Kate Middleton decided to go public with her cancer diagnosis in March 2024, she was incredibly secretive about it beforehand. This was in contrast to her issues with hyperemesis gravidarum while pregnant with Prince George in 2012, with Princess Charlotte in 2014, and with Prince Louis in 2018.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, hyperemesis gravidarum is an extreme form of morning sickness that sometimes requires hospitalization.

    Kate Middleton isolated in motherhood

According to The Daily Mail, Princess Kate Middleton was extremely open about her multiple hospitalizations during the pregnancies of her three children. All of which happened during the first trimesters. Unlike women in the Royal family in years prior, Middleton was exceedingly honest about her experience with pregnancy and how it can be extremely cumbersome and medically complicated. She also explained how she used meditation and deep breathing to help her through her experience.

Unseen Kate Middleton photo from her stay at £850-a-night Welsh Airbnb with Prince William in 2023 is revealed – as staff praise the couple for being ‘so kind’ and ‘friendly’

The £850 a night Airbnb where the Prince and Princess of Wales stayed during their trip to Wales last year has shared an unseen image of the royal couple.

Taking to Facebook, Duffryn Mawr Country House, marked the one year anniversary of their royal couple’s stay with a photograph of William, 41, and Kate, 42, smiling with staff.

The post praised Kate and William as ‘so kind and friendly’, adding that it was a ‘pleasure’ to have them stay for the night.

The staycation hotspot, which sleeps 16 people, doubles as a wedding venue and borders the Brecon Beacons National Park, where Kate and William travelled to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Central Beacons Mountain Rescue.

It is open to members of the public on Airbnb for £850 per night with a three night stay minimum and boasts panoramic mountain views.

After their stay, Kate and William smiled with staff for a photograph and signed the guestbook.

The Facebook page read: ‘It’s been one year since we welcomed William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, to Duffryn Mawr.

‘We were delighted to welcome William and Kate for a night here when they visited The Brecon Beacons. So kind and friendly, it was a pleasure to have them stay here.’

In addition to the seven bedrooms, the country home boasts 74 amenities, including a gym, a spa kitted out with a steam room and hot tub, and a children’s den.

Kate and William enjoyed one night at the luxury home, before cracking on with activities around south Wales, including meeting the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team as part of William’s role of patron of Mountain Rescue England and Wales.

At the time of their stay Kimberley Fry, who owns Duffryn Mawr and the Bluebell, said: ‘They walked in just like locals.

‘They had a reservation and we kept it quiet, but the locals in the pub were very surprised to see them. We felt very privileged to have them here. We charged the going rate, as we do for everyone.’

It comes after Buckingham Palace revealed it has been inundated with ‘tens of thousands’ of get well soon cards and gifts for the Princess of Wales, following her brave admission that she is undergoing cancer treatment.

It is understood that the correspondence team at the palace have been ‘so touched’ by the love and affection shown to Kate, 42, who recorded an emotional video message revealing she had embarked on a course of preventative chemotherapy.

The princess has withdrawn from public life to concentrate on her treatment and recovery, as well as protecting her young family.

But the outpouring of support for the princess continues- and palace staff have received thousands and thousands of cards, letters and gifts from members of the public offering their support and good-wishes.

The sheer volume of correspondence has at times been difficult for the team to cope with. But staff do aim to reply to all the writers, eventually.

Although the Prince and Princess of Wales have their own private office at Kensington Palace, all letters to members of the Royal Family are dealt with by the Court Post Office.

In a normal week the palace would expect to receive up to 1,000 letters each week from members of the public with various queries or messages of good wishes for individual royals.

But what they have experienced since the disclosure of the princess’s health issues has significantly superseded that.

Kate was unexpectedly taken into hospital at the start of the year for major abdominal surgery. She remained in The London Clinic for two weeks before going home to recuperate.

In March, following a period of intense global speculation about her health, the princess herself confirmed that while her condition had not been thought to be cancerous at the time, doctors had subsequently discovered evidence of the disease.

Kate appeared in high spirits as she celebrated the 60th anniversary of Central Beacons Mountain Rescue

She made it clear that she needed to focus on both her recovery but also supporting her young children at a difficult time, asking for her family to be given time and space while she completed her treatment.

Although there has been no official update on her health since, The Mail understands that the princess has been seen out and about more with her family in recent weeks, which will be taken as a positive sign by many.

However earlier this week Kensington Palace stressed that she very much still needs time and space to recover.

Speaking at the launch of a landmark report by her early years ‘business taskforce’, a Kensington Palace spokesman stressed that the news should not be viewed as her returning to work.

A senior royal aide added: ‘The Princess of Wales was the driving force behind the business task force. She has been kept up to date since the inception of the task force and she has read the report and been briefed on it.

‘This is a clear commitment she has made that throughout her life of public service that this will be focus. That will continue when she returns to work.

‘But we have been really clear that she needs the space and the privacy to recover right now. She will return to work when she has had the green light from doctors.’

There are many famous doppelgangers around the world and it seems that Kate Middleton of the British Royal Family has got one of her own.

The Princess of Wales, who is suffering from cancer, has been in the spotlight during a period in which she disappeared from the public eye before announcing her illness.

The rumor mill grew to such an extent that Middleton’s photograph was the most sought-after in the media.

In an image that went around the world, suspicions that the person photographed was not Kate Middleton were evident. It was later discovered that she was actually Gabriela Munro Douglas.

This British woman works for a stunt agency where she is paid over a thousand euros for a day’s work.
This lookalike became famous after her time on the ‘X Factor’ and, since then, she has been going to events wearing the same outfits as Kate Middleton, starring in advertising campaigns and even being asked for photos in the street.

A TV show titled ‘Fiesta’ focused on this doppelganger, with Concha Calleja sharing her thoughts.

Concha Calleja: This is not for her to replace Kate Middleton in official events
“There is no official record or confirmation that she has been hired by the Palace for these things. Everything we say is unofficial. She started working for an agency in 2011 because she looks like Kate. She started doing more serious things in 2014 when she toured Australia at the same time as Kate and William,” said Concha Calleja.

The ‘Fiesta’ contributor pointed out that “this is not for her to replace Kate at official events”, but rather for “Kate and William to rest at official events when there are rehearsals, in case they have to do some shots, and so on”.

  • Queen Elizabeth had to overturn an old royal rule in order to ensure her great-grandchildren were given their titles from birth.

Queen Elizabeth had to overturn an old royal rule in order to ensure her great-grandchildren were given their titles from birth.

When Prince Louis was born in 2018 he was automatically bestowed with an HRH title, as his older siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte had been.

The youngster’s official full title is His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Wales, quite impressive given he has only just celebrated his sixth birthday.

However he only received his royal title thanks to his late great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth implementing a change to one rule that had been in place since 1917.

Over one hundred years ago the then-monarch, King George V, set out guidance explaining which members of the Royal Family would qualify for a title and which would not.

He made the decision that all of the sovereign’s children would automatically be a Prince or Princess, as well as any grandchildren born through the male line.

But his rule did not apply to any of the monarch’s great-granchildren, which would have included George, Charlotte and Louis when they were born.

Ahead of George’s birth in July 2013 the late Queen decided to amend the rule so that the future King would be born with a royal title.

This change was then extended to Charlotte and Louis when they arrived in May 2015 and April 2018 respectively, and will likely apply to the future great-grandchildren of any monarch.

Even if the late Queen had not made the change, the Wales children would have inherited their titles once their grandfather Charles became King.

His Majesty and Queen Camilla will be appearing at Trooping the Colour on June 15, and while Prince William is likely to attend Princess Kate will remain away.

She has been absent from public life while she receives preventative chemotherapy, as she announced her cancer diagnosis via a touchingly personal video message in March.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk the Prince of Wales is expected to be there due to his military role, but he may not bring the children with him.

Mr Fitzwilliams said: “I am sure that William will attend as Colonel of the Welsh Guards. Obviously, Catherine is unlikely to because of her health and it may well be that their children will miss this year’s Birthday Parade.”

Other non-working royals such as Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Peter Phillips and Zara and Mike Tindall may be invited onto the Buckingham Palace balcony instead to boost numbers.

Princess Beatrice tipped to step up for Princess Kate in big royal shake-up

Princess Beatrice is being tipped to step up for Princess Kate in a big royal shake-up, royal sources have claimed.

Beatrice, 35, is expected to play a more prominent public role for the Royal Family this summer amid the Princess of Wales’s continued absence.

Buckingham Palace is still considering how best to deploy Beatrice, but she is expected to accompany the King to one key event, possibly the Japanese state visit next month.

    Kate Middleton and Princess Beatrice

The mother-of-one is a non-working royal and, while the King does not want to change that, he needs help to deal with the current shortage of working royals.

The King has only just returned to light working duties as he continues his cancer treatment, while Kate is recovering at home after her cancer diagnosis.

The royal calendar is full this summer, with events including Trooping the Colour, a state banquet, Garter Day, the 80th D-Day anniversary and several Buckingham Palace garden parties.

But working members of the Royal Family are in short supply.

A source told the Mail the King wants the cast list for such events to include Beatrice as well as occasionally her sister, Princess Eugenie, also a non-working royal.

King Charles is thought to be very impressed with Princess Beatrice

Prince Andrew’s elder daughter is said to be looking forward to helping.

She enjoyed assisting her grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, in handing out coins for the 2012 Maundy Thursday service, and that event is the likely template for her participation this summer.

Beatrice attended “by invitation of the Queen”, meaning she was there in a royal capacity while remaining a non-working royal.

The King and Queen will host Japan’s Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako at Buckingham Palace next month.

A source close to the Yorks told the publication: “They’ve got a busy diary coming up and they need to widen the family at social events.

Meghan Markle’s podcast has been slammed as “hilarious” by one celebrity. Perez Hilton was being interviewed on Kinsey Schofield’s YouTube channel when she asked him what he thought of the Duchess of Sussex’s Archetypes podcast.

The American replied by saying that while the podcast was supposed to “champion women”, all of the guests were “rich and famous”.

He said: “I thought it was hilarious because she claims to be this champion of women and for the people, and yet every guest – if not then the overwhelming majority of guests – were celebrities.

“Why are you doing this thing about women, yet we’re only hearing the voices of the rich and famous?”

Schofield replied by saying it was “a struggle” to listen to and went on to ask Hilton if he felt Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard would be a success.

He replied: “Yes, I think American Riviera Orchard will be very successful because while a lot of people don’t like Harry and Meghan, a lot of people do like them.

“They’re invested in the British Royal Family as a real-life soap opera.”

Schofield initially appeared shocked at Hilton’s response, but then said she understood his reasoning.

She said: “That’s true, and there’s a lot of sheep out there who want that hand cream.”

It comes just days after it was revealed that an A-list designer had refused to work with the Duchess.

British fashion designer Julien Macdonald expressed his unequivocal preference for the Princess of Wales over Meghan at the Fragrance Foundation Awards in London.

Princess Kate won’t attend Trooping the Colour rehearsal as she continues cancer recovery

The Princess of Wales, who normally takes on the role of Inspecting Officer, won’t attend this year’s rehearsal, the Palace has confirmed.

    Princess Kate

It has been confirmed Princess Kate will not be attending the Trooping the Colour 2024 rehearsal on June 8 as she continues to recover from her cancer diagnosis, say Palace sources.

Instead, the role of Inspecting Officer normally carried out by the Princess of Wales, will be conducted by Lieutenant General James Bucknall K.C.B., C.B.E, as Kate continues her recovery.

It comes as the Ministry of Defence (MoD) was earlier accused of sparking confusion after announcing confirmed attendance at the Trooping the Colour without consulting Kensington Palace.

Trooping the Colour is held every year as an official birthday event for the monarch, even though Charles’s actual birthday is on November 14. It dates back centuries and became an annual event from 1760.

King Charles’s official birthday parade will be held on June 15 and is one of the biggest military ceremonies of the year featuring around 1,600 parading soldiers, 400 musicians, 200 horses and is wrapped up with an RAF flypast over Buckingham Palace.

It is still unclear whether the Princess of Wales, who is undergoing preventative chemotherapy after a cancer diagnosis, will attend the official birthday celebrations on June 15.

Many were hoping that Princess Kate, who has been absent from royal duties since December as she currently undergoes treatment for a type of cancer, would make a royal return for this year’s birthday celebrations for King Charles, but after the latest update, such a prospect seems highly unlikely.

A spokesman said previously: “Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates. That guidance stands.”

If Kate is set to attend, it will be one of her first engagements of the year after planned abdominal surgery back in January. Kate previously said that she had undergone abdominal surgery in January and that at the time she was told her condition was non-cancerous. But the future Queen, in a heart-wrenching statement revealed that later tests found cancer had been present.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed the reigning monarch will take part in Trooping the Colour 2024 next month but will inspect the soldiers from a carriage instead of on horseback.

Charles, who is currently undergoing treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer, is expected to conduct the review of troops from an Ascot landau carriage with Queen Camilla by his side.

Buckingham Palace has said that any future engagements involving the King “will be adapted where necessary” to accommodate his recovery.

Last year, Charles became the first monarch in more than 30 years to take part in Trooping the Colour on horseback.

Commenting on the royal duo’s recent three-day visit to Nigeria, the Duke of Sussex was “reluctant” to let go of his wife’s hand during the third day of their tour.

The Duke, 39, and Duchess, 42, walked hand-in-hand as they arrived at the State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s house where they were guests of honour on May 12.

Body language expert, Judi James, told the Daily Mail the royal couple appear uneasy when apart: “There’s something almost parent-childlike about this body language as Harry and Meghan perform small dance-like rituals to avoid letting go of each other’s hands, even for a second.”

She added: “They seem to want to cling together for affection and to have a tactile link to create tie-signs i.e. small steering touches or moments of reassurance while they are out appearing in public.”

Meghan kept her word to ditch her monochrome styling for bright colours and honour her Nigerian roots as she donned a stunning yellow canary dress in Lagos – she also wore the dress in 2021 when she announced her pregnancy with Princess Lilibet.

Commenting further on their body language, Judi explained: “Their hands are clasped as they arrive and Harry seems to tap the clasp against his thigh as though wanting to reassure himself.”

Judi also said the Duke of Sussex is in “desperate need” of touch as he quickly wants to re-grab Meghan’s hand when it is out of his grasp.

The couple who have been visiting Nigeria together for the first time, are promoting the Invictus Games and the visit comes after Harry met the Nigerian team and General Musa at last year’s competition in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Meghan has sported a variety of colorful outfits on the tour, and earlier explained: “It has been a whirlwind 24 hours since we arrived, and I very quickly got the memo that I need to wear more colour so I can fit in with all of you in your incredible fashion.”

The couple were in Nigeria this weekend to promote their work with the Invictus Games.

Last year, Nigeria became the first African country to take part in the Invictus Games, a sporting competition for wounded military personnel and veterans, co-founded by Prince Harry in 2014.

On the first day of the mini-tour on Friday, Harry spoke about the joy the Nigeria team brought to the games in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Before arriving in the country, Prince Harry visited London as part of celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, and attended a service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Harry had last been in the UK in February this year, to briefly visit his father, King Charles, after he was diagnosed with cancer.
