Royal feud to be reigned in? Meghan Markle criticized Kate Middleton’s social media frequently posting photos and letters from fans under the pretext of ‘unnecessary bragging’ – A new debate is about to begin

Recently, Meghan Markle expressed frustration over Kate Middleton’s frequent sharing of fan photos and letters on social media. Meghan criticized this practice as unnecessary self-promotion, implying that it was a form of showing off rather than a genuine interaction with the public.

Kate Middleton, known for her engagement with royal fans, often posts pictures and letters she receives, showcasing the support from the public. Meghan’s comments suggest that she sees these actions as excessive and believes they detract from more meaningful royal duties.

This criticism has added to the ongoing tension between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family. Meghan and Harry have previously faced scrutiny for their approach to public life and their distancing from royal traditions, which contrasts sharply with Kate and William’s more traditional methods of maintaining public relations.

The backlash from Meghan’s statement reflects the broader issues of privacy and public engagement that have characterized the rift within the royal family. While Meghan’s intention might have been to highlight what she sees as an overemphasis on public image, her comments have been met with mixed reactions, with some seeing them as an unnecessary attack on Kate’s way of connecting with royal supporters.

‘Private’ Prince William’s royal power move learned from the late Queen that he’s started using during public visits

PRINCE William and Kate Middleton often share sweet details about their kids, George, Charlotte and Louis, during public engagements.

And royal experts have questioned if this could be a “conscious” move, and a power move that the late Queen used to do.

Just last week, Prince William attended a Buckingham Palace Garden Party this week and let slip an adorable detail about his bedtime routine with Prince Louis, six.

The future king was given a copy of a children’s book by budding author Rowan Aderyn, and said “This is great, so inspirational. I’ll read this to Louis tonight at bedtime.”

Speaking on their podcast, royal editors Roya Nikkhah and Kate Mansey shared how the Prince and Princess of Wales used to be “quite private”, but are “more confident” when it comes to sharing family details now.

The Times’ Kate said on The Royals with Roya and Kate: “I wonder if it’s conscious though, a lot of the engagements we see him on now he is quite confident when it comes to talking about his children.

“Whereas there was this element for a long time it was quite private, you know occasionally he’d say something like ‘Louis likes eating fairy cakes’ or something and everyone would go ‘oh my gosh, that’s really interesting.’

“But now it seems every time he’s out he does reference that.”

The royal expert questioned the reason behind Prince William opening up more about family life.

Kate continued: “I wonder if it’s a conscious – with this kind of slimmed down monarchy, when you’re drafting in non-working cousins to help bolster up public engagements.

“This idea that, as the Queen did so well, this idea that it’s not just me, there is a chain, there is a kind of generation after generation trying to present this idea of stability, stretching forwards and backwards.”

The Sunday Times Royal Editor Roya Nikkhah added if William reveals details to help the public “feel a bit closer to them.”

She added: “Which has always been done so successfully most of the time visually with those set piece portraits that we used to have of the late Queen, Charles, William, George mixing in a tuppence in the Christmas pudding.

“But now I think maybe William feels there’s another way of doing it.

“We still have these big set piece portraits sometimes but there’s a way of doing it, just in conversation and in passing comments to members of the public which get picked up by us and our coverage.

“And it brings the public closer to the idea of what’s coming next.”

The late Queen was also said to 'present an idea of stability, stretching forwards and backwards'

Kate added: “It’s the idea that it is the royal family, people can see that and relate to it.

“Putting their own children to bed and it speaks to what Kate was doing as well, early childhood reading to children.

“They’re on brand those two, aren’t they, Prince and Princess of Wales?”

Kate Middleton’s ‘golden rule’ with George, Charlotte and Louis

KATE’S key rule for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis is about kindness.

According to HELLO! Online’s Royal Correspondent: “Based on observations of photographs of Princess Diana at the time, and the current Princess of Wales, they are both very affectionate with their children.

“Kate is often seen holding her children’s hands or picking them up for cuddles when they were smaller.

“There are often lots of comforting gestures, such as a pat on the back or stroking their hair. When interacting with other children on her public engagements, Kate often crouches down to their level to engage with them – something that Diana would often do.”

When she’s at the family’s home of Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, despite her royal status, insiders say Kate is just like any other “normal mum”.

A friend explained that behind closed doors, the 42-year-old is “very chilled at home” but definitely not a pushover and will tell the kids off when needed.

They told PEOPLE: “It’s a normal, busy family home with kids running around and knocking things over. There’s no airs and graces.

“She is doing that to help her children be more grounded and keep their reality in check. That’s what really matters to her.”

PRINCESS Eugenie’s son Ernest turns one today and will be “spoiled rotten” by grandparents the Duke and Duchess of York, claims an expert.

The daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew paid tribute to her second child, who is affectionately nicknamed “Ernie.”

She wrote: “One year of you my dear Ernest. Happy birthday!! We all love you so much, especially your enormous smile you give the world.. but you always save an extra special one for Mumma.”

The post was poignant, particularly Eugenie typically keeps her family life fairly private and has rarely shared photos of her youngest son, who was born on 30 May 2023.

Princess Eugenie, 34, and her British marketing executive husband Jack Brooksbank, 38, have two kids together, August, three, and Ernest.

Royal author Phil Dampier told Fabulous that little Ernie will likely be celebrating in style.

He shared: “The royal children tend to get very expensive gifts throughout their younger years, including horses, fishing rods, rifles and mini-cars, sometimes provided by manufacturers.

“They are spoilt rotten, whereas at Christmas for example the adults give each other joke presents worth virtually nothing!

“They like to give silly gifts like whoopee cushions or singing fish wall ornaments to each other on the basis that they have everything in life. So they prefer the jokes.

“Apart from his parents Eugenie and Jack wanting only the best for him, he has doting grandparents on both sides, although Jack’s father sadly died a couple of years ago.

“The Duke and Duchess of York will want to give him the best and I’m sure that will include riding lessons, bikes, and expensive toys.

“Fergie, as we know, likes spending money and she will lavish presents on him, believing that as children of Prince Andrew his grandchildren should get the best, just like the children of William and Kate and Harry and Meghan.”

Being in the royal family can come with some great perks – particularly when it comes to your birthday.

This is certainly true of Prince George, who has a £18k playhouse and classic car collection including a mini Aston Martin and a SUV car gifted to him from uncle Prince Harry.

Meanwhile he once received a birthday “card” worth a staggering £120,000 for his first birthday.

In honour of the young prince’s celebrations, aviation company Hangar8 repainted a private Bombardier Challenger jet with a special greeting.

It was covered with the message “Happy Birthday Prince George”, and it reportedly cost a six-figure sum to achieve, making it one of the most expensive ‘cards’ ever.

But sadly Prince George was not able to see the plane in person – let alone take a ride in it.

Marketing director Janus Kamradt told the Oxford Mail: “It was great fun, we’re really proud of the design.

“Four painters spent a month on it and they worked really, really hard.

“We’re unable to fly it to Prince George at Kensington Palace, so we sent him a picture of his biggest birthday card.”

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s close bond

Over the years, the Queen’s granddaughters have often spoken about their incredible bond and have previously described themselves as “each other’s rocks.”

Princess Beatrice was the first child born to the Duke and Duchess of York – Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson – back on August 8, 1988.

The Duchess gave birth at London’s Portland Hospital for Women and Children, and Beatrice’s full name was announced as Beatrice Elizabeth Mary almost two weeks later.

The couple – who divorced in 1996 – then welcomed Princess Eugenie, whose full name is Eugenie Victoria Helena, on March 23, 1990.

As a result of their close bond, it’s no surprise that back in 2018, as Eugenie made her way down to Windsor Castle for her royal nuptials, her maid of honour Beatrice was firmly by her side.

When asked about her maid of honour by TLC, Princess Eugenie said, “I can’t think of anyone I’d want by my side other than her.”

Sadly the plane’s birthday greeting was short-lived, as it was repainted following the royal’s birthday.

    It’s the thought that counts.

GUARDS are determined to make Princess Kate’s Colonel’s Review “the best yet” despite her absence due to cancer treatment.

Kensington Palace today confirmed the Princess of Wales, 42, will miss the military salute with the Irish Guards next Saturday.

As Colonel in Chief she was due to inspect the troops at Horse Guards Parade in central London.

The ceremony is seen as a rehearsal for the King’s Trooping the Colour birthday parade on June 15.

Instead her role will be taken by Lt Gen Sir James Bucknall, former Commander of the Allied Rapid Reaction Force.

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace said the King will inspect Trooping the Colour soldiers from a carriage rather than on horseback. Kate is unlikely to attend that event.

Lt Col James Shaw, overseeing both ceremonies, said: “We totally understand and our thoughts and best wishes are with Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales.

“We are even more determined to make the Colonel’s Review the best yet for her. We are so proud to have The Princess of Wales as the Colonel of the Irish Guards.”

Sources close to Kate admit she was never expected to attend the Colonel’s Review after she began chemo in February.

And royal author Ingrid Seward said: “People will be disappointed but also extremely understanding.

“We simply want Kate to get better, whatever it takes, and however long that may be.”

In January, Kensington Palace said Kate was stepping back from duties until April after she had abdominal surgery at The London Clinic.

In late March, the mum-of-three revealed in a video statement how tests after the operation had found cancer and she had started chemo.

Kensington Palace say she will return only when her medical team give the green light.

Three weeks ago Prince William, 41, told wellwishers in the Isles of Scilly his wife is “doing very well”.

The Army came under fire in March for publicising that the Princess of Wales would take the salute at the Colonel’s Review.

Tickets were sold online for £15. But hours later the MoD vowed to remove any mention of Kate from its website after Kensington Palace said the Army had “jumped the gun”.

Buckingham Palace announced in December 2022 she was to become Colonel of the Irish Guards, a role previously held by her husband.

She attended her first St Patrick’s Day parade with the Irish Guards in Aldershot, Hants, last year but missed this March’s event.

The King, 75, will be at Trooping the Colour on June 15.

There were fears the annual bash would be cancelled as the Royal Family postpones engagements which may “divert attention” away from the July 4 General Election.

But the Ministry of Defence has confirmed the ceremony and King’s birthday parade will go ahead.

We totally understand and our thoughts and best wishes are with Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales

    Lt Col James Shaw

Charles, who recently returned to public duties while being treated for his cancer, wanted to attend on horseback.

He will now wave to crowds from an open-top Ascot Landau carriage as it is driven from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade.

William, Prince Edward and Princess Anne are expected to be on horseback.

Lt Col Shaw, who will lead the royal procession down The Mall on the day, said confirmation of King’s presence was wonderful but “means the Army have to step up our game even more”.

Field Officer in Brigade Waiting, Lt Col James Coleby, added: “For us, it adds to the splendour of the day.

“Of course, it’s His Majesty’s birthday and we all wanted him to be there and are very pleased he is too.

“We wish him all the very best. I’m sure there’s more to come in his recovery.”

WHEN it was announced that Prince William was going to next week’s D-Day commemorations without Catherine, it made me wonder if she would be fit enough for rehearals of Trooping the Colour.

Even when fully fit, the Colonel’s Review is quite a difficult day of getting in and out of carriages and later appearing on the balcony at Buckingham Palace with her family. If you’re not well it can be gruelling.

Catherine may well have thought she could not cope with it at this stage of her recovery.

She’s a wonderful ambassador for our country and it’s only right that she gets properly better and does not rush back.

It would be lovely if we did see her at Royal Ascot or in the VIP box at Wimbledon this summer.

But if we don’t see her in public until the autumn, I for one, am happy to wait however long it takes.

The surprise royal vying for ‘most popular’ as Princess Kate crowned again

Princess Kate has emerged as the most popular royal yet again, according to a recent poll which saw the addition of one key royal.

The Princess of Wales was once again crowned the most popular member of the Royal Family, but there was another member of the Firm slowly climbing up the favourability ladder, a new poll has revealed.

Princess Kate continued to be the most admired royal among Britons this month, as 74 percent said they hold a positive view of her, with her husband Prince William coming a close second at 73 percent, according to the latest poll by YouGov.

    Princess Kate smiling

King Charles came fourth, with a favourability score of 64 percent, surpassed by his older sister, Princess Anne, who snatched a 70 percent.

Overall, Charles’s popularity has remained consistent since the announcement regarding his health back in February.

But it was the tracker’s latest addition that held quite a significance as Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, was included in YouGov’s favourability tracker for the first time.

Duchess Sophie is the fifth most popular royal

According to the results, just over half of Britons (54 percent) have a favourable view of Sophie, who came fifth below King Charles – meaning she is surprisingly vying for the top spot despite only being included in the list for the first time.

The Duchess of Edinburgh recently became the first royal family member to visit Ukraine since Russia’s invasion and has become a more active royal since King Charles’ Coronation last year and his subsequent cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

The survey also included sisters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice for the first time.

The children of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are both viewed favourably by 37 percent of people, while a quarter (24-25 percent) hold a negative view of them.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remain the least popular royal couple.

The King Passes Role Of Colonel-In-Chief Of The Army Air Corps To The Prince Of Wales

Of the two, Meghan Markle is viewed slightly less favourably than her husband, with 22 percent holding a positive view of her compared to 29 percent for Harry.

But the majority of the public view both royals unfavourably

Prince Andrew continues to be the least-liked royal, with only six percent holding a positive opinion of him, while nearly nine in 10 (86 percent) view him negatively.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell found ‘delinquent’ and told to stop fundraising

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s charity Archewell has been declared “delinquent” and must halt any fundraising, according to an official letter.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s American charity foundation has been declared delinquent and instructed to halt all fundraising and expenditures.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell has allowed its registration fees to lapse since early May, according to an official letter from California’s attorney general, Rob Bonta.

    Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

According to the document, the charity has been categorised as “delinquent” in the registry of charities and fundraisers due to its failure to submit both its annual report and registration fees.

The notice further explains that an organisation marked as such is considered not in good standing and is thereby restricted from undertaking activities requiring registration, such as soliciting or distributing charitable funds.

The note adds: “An organisation that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds.

However, a source told the Express Archewell officials filed their paperwork on time and that they hope to resolve the issue in the coming days.

“The organisation may also be subject to penalties, and its registration may be suspended or revoked by the Registry.”

Archewell now has to submit records to show why its payment is late and pay late fees.

According to reports in the US, the foundation has filed for an extension. However, California’s official registry continued to show Archewell as delinquent last night.

After relinquishing their senior royal duties, the couple established their foundation upon relocating to the US in March 2020.

The foundation encompasses not only its non-profit charitable foundation but also for-profit ventures in media production, namely Archewell Audio and Archewell Productions.

The delinquency note comes five months after it was revealed that the Archewell Foundation suffered a significant £8.7 million revenue drop within a year.

A source told Express.co.uk that Archewell officials filed its paperwork on time, including a cheque. The insider said: “For whatever reason, it has not been cashed.

“As soon as the foundation learnt of the problem, they immediately issued another cheque. Harry and Meghan’s team hope this will quickly resolve the issue within the next week.”

ITV Loose Women’s Gloria Hunniford issues four word dig at Denise Welch after she ripped into guest

Loose Women viewers were left reeling after Gloria Hunniford delivered a brutal four-word dig to her co-star Denise Welch, a day after her explosive clash with a guest over Meghan Markle

Loose Women star Gloria Hunniford caught viewers off guard with a sharp four-word jibe towards co-star Denise Welch following her clash with a show guest.

Monday’s episode was hosted by Coleen Nolan, who was joined by panelists Gloria, Denise, and Brenda Edwards. However, they saw an unexpected bite from Gloria as Denise revealed her desire to leave the UK. As they chatted about how the Bank Holiday weather was affecting everyone’s moods, Gloria passionately declared her affection for the UK.

She stated: “I tell you what though… I wouldn’t live anywhere else. Simple as that. Because I could live in the sunshine.” Denise countered with: “I would.” Suddenly, Gloria hit back with a pointed remark: “When are you going?,” leaving the audience visibly shocked and Denise momentarily tongue-tied, managing only laughter in reply to the playful dig.

Brenda joined in with a surprised: “Wow!” Viewers quickly took to social media to share their thoughts on the spicy dialogue, with one viewer remarking: “Gloria’s on fire today! ! #loosewomen.” Another added: “Oh wow, when said Gloria. When is Denise leaving?? #loosewomen.” Someone else perfectly captured the moment with one word: “Miaow!”.

Denise further explained: “There’s lots I love about this country but if I didn’t have my grandson now, I think I could leave.” Gloria, ever the optimistic one, reacted: “See now lots of reasons to stay,” and took a moment to reflect on the global situation. She said: “When you look at the world and other countries, you think, ‘This is not bad… the weather is.’”.

With a touch of resignation, Denise remarked: “Used to be – not now.” The show’s host, Coleen, tried to change the direction of the chat towards more positive areas, suggesting: “Anyway, onto to some feel good news please.” Earlier in the week, Denise shocked viewers as she ripped into a TV star live on the show.

The Loose Women panellist was seething on Monday when Dickie Arbiter, former press secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II and to King Charles III before he was crowned last year, was in the studio to speak about the monarch’s cancer battle. Dickie decided to address the elephant in the room – can the monarch ever repair his strained relationship with his son, Prince Harry?

Denise insisted she thought Meghan and Harry’s decision to leave Windsor and Frogmore Cottage behind was nothing short of logical. “If I may say, do you not think there is a reason why Harry did such a thing?”, she asked. Denise then summarised the heartbreak surrounding King Charles III’s family, wounds first stemming from the monarch’s marriage with Lady Diana “when he was in love with Camilla.”

“It ruined a lot of Diana’s life”, Denise claimed. The former Coronation Street star then recalled how Harry walked publicly behind his mother’s coffin and accepted Queen Camilla as his stepmother. “Then he has a wife who is completely and continually trashed by the media, including your good self”, Denise added while turning to Dickie. “I am just sick to death of the bashing that this woman gets (…) we continually berate this woman every day.” Denise furiously doubled down: “Why would they not walk out? Why would they want to spend their life in a country that hated them?”

Judi Love has revealed Lorraine Kelly’s honest response after she was caught looking unimpressed in the crowd as everyone clapped the Scottish presenter for her special win at Sunday’s BAFTA TV awards.

Kicking off Monday’s Loose Women, Judi, 43, who spoke out before the ITV chat show airing, revealed what really happened and Lorraine’s, 64, response after she saw her at the ITV studios earlier today (13 May).

Judi explained: “You know what, my dress was very tight, I was trying to sit like a lady. The camera was right there, I thought: ‘Okay, this is your moment’ you know it’s going to be on TV, so I just always get prepared.

“I was trying to be regal, the thing is, I stood up and gave Lorraine a standing ovation. They showed the bit with Andi standing up but missed me out, only showing me going…” as she recreated the face.

Judi continued: “My eyes are so big anyway and I’ve got a very expressive face.” Talking about bumping into Lorraine earlier on Monday after Sunday’s BAFTA TV awards, Judi said: “Well, I walked up to Lorraine and as I was about to come [over], she put her hand up and I thought: ‘Oh my gosh, this is going to be it!’

“She said: ‘Judi!’, the Queen that she is. I went: ‘Oh my God, babes, have you seen the meme, have you seen the side eye?’ She was like: ‘Oh, seen it, I know you, love you, you love me, I’m good.’ So we did our own version to all the people who tried to make this something it wasn’t.”

Former Coronation Street star Denise Welch, 63, has been soaking up the sun in Greece after her ITV show Loose Women was hit with hundreds of Ofcom complaints

Loose Women star Denise Welch didn’t let recent Ofcom complaints dampen her spirits as she showcased her fabulous figure in a form-fitting swimsuit. The TV host jetted off to Greece for some sunshine, just days after it was revealed that the broadcasting watchdog had received 263 complaints about a discussion on the Royal Family on her ITV show.

She appeared to have left all the drama behind as she struck a pose on deck and made the most of her time away from the spotlight. Documenting her holiday on social media, an Instagram snap showed Denise in a daring black swimming costume with a dramatic plunge neckline. Sporting black wedges and striking a pose with one knee bent on the back of a chair, she looked stunning.

The star had painted her nails red to match her lipstick and looked incredibly glamorous and significantly younger than her 65 years as she threw her head back and rested one hand on her stomach. “Yes it’s the perch comfortably on the edge of the chair moment! ! ” she joked, adding the hashtag “#rhodes” to her post.

“Hot mumma,” one fan labelled the TV presenter after she posted the sizzling image, while another called Denise a “stunner”. “You are the most beautiful Queen of The Ocean,” gushed another fan, as others flooded the comments with fire emojis, reports the Daily Star. One follower wrote: “You never miss Denise! This pose is everything.” “Omg you look so slinky… wish I looked like this,” confessed another. Another fan dubbed the TV star “a babe”. “Oh my goodness Denise, you look lush hun! ! ! ” exclaimed another admirer.

Loose Women faced a backlash from viewers following an episode that aired on May 6, which saw Denise defending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, leading to a heated exchange with guest Dickie Arbiter, the former press secretary to the late Queen and King Charles.

In the conversation, Dickie brought up Harry’s memoir, Spare, and stated: “[Prince] Harry has been rubbishing the family since he walked out in 2020.”

Denise retorted: “Do you not think there is a reason why [he] did such a thing? ” She then referenced events from Prince Harry’s life, including the death of his mother Princess Diana when he was just a child. Then he has a wife who is continually trashed by the media, including your good self, if I may say – when she is on a world stage, doing a lot of good for a lot of people. I am just sick to death of the bashing that this woman gets.”

Following the influx of complaints, Denise took to Instagram to express her support for Meghan, stating she was “appalled that this woman is abused and berated by the public and media on a daily basis”. “Not many people could mentally cope with the hate she contends with,” she added. “No wonder her husband took her away and despite everything they are thriving. Their reception in Nigeria has been wonderful to see. She concluded: “Last week I defended them against one of their detractors on TV and received 103 complaints from Ofcom! ! ! Good. Also utterly pathetic.”
