Loose Women stars Charlene White and Denise Welch vented their anger over the sharing of ITV newsreader Rageh Omaar falling ill live on TV

Loose Women stars Charlene White and Denise Welch have vented their anger over the sharing of a clip of ITV newsreader Rageh Omaar falling ill live on TV.

The 56-year-old presenter started to noticeably struggle with his words during a report towards the end of the news programme on Friday and straight after the show, Rageh was rushed to hospital where he immediately received treatment. It remains unconfirmed as to the nature of his illness but experts believe that he was showing early signs of a mini-stroke, called ca transient ischaemic attack (TIA).

Charlene has taken umbrage at the number of people who have been sharing the video of Rageh falling ill, with many making wild assumptions as to what happened before any reports that he was suffering with medical difficulties. The Loose Women star hit out, writing on Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter : “How about everyone stops posting and re-posting a video of a man becoming unwell live on TV. Who does that benefit? Sometimes real life isn’t just about upping your engagement figures, and upping your likes”.

Her feelings were echoed by her fellow Loose Women panellist, Denise Welch, who commented on Charlene’s post, writing: “My thoughts exactly Charlene. Honestly this world [angry face emojis].” Denise’s comment prompted another to add their disgust that Rageh was not taken off air to receive immediate attention. They wrote: “Totally agree with you both but where was ITV’s duty of care for the poor bloke. They should have cut the stream or went to a break immediately to get him medical attention. It’s not like it was a coughing fit etc.”

Loose Women’s Charlene White and Denise Welch unleash fury over Rageh Omaar video
A ITV News source told Mail on Sunday that the producers were trying to replace Rageh but he wanted to complete delivering the news: “The programme team were trying to replace him when they realised there was a problem. They sent the standby presenter to the set to take over but he insisted on remaining on air. No-one could get him out of his chair. He refused to move. Even when he was told he had to go and that the team had called for medical help. Everyone did everything they could to help him. Rageh is a consummate professional. He was determined to finish what he had started. It was an awful, awful night.”

Rageh was discharged the following day and is spending time at home recovering with his family. The mini-stroke condition, TIA, is caused by a temporary disruption in the blood supply to part of the brain caused by a travelling blood clot or the “furring” of the arteries.

Fiona Clark, who is a staff nurse, said she called ITV at 10.30pm and informed them that “as an ICU nurse who worked in stroke, that Rageh Omaar required an emergency ambulance, he was dysphasic, drooped left eye, slurred speech and agitated all Fast symptoms.”

Stacey Solomon thanks fans for support as she announces huge news with moving photos

Loose Women star Stacey Solomon also moonlights as something of a fashion designer – and has been left overwhelmed with emotion as she prepares to unleash her latest collection

Stacey Solomon has been left on the verge of tears over her latest fashion collection for children – which she has described as a ‘privilege’ to create.

The 34-year-old singer and Loose Women star is proud wife of former EastEnders actor husband Joe Swash, 42, and matriarch of their blended family. She has a 15-year-old son named Zachary who she shares with ex-boyfriend Dean Cox, and an 11-year-old son named Leighton who she shares with ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham.

While together with Joe, she is also the mother of four-year-old son Rex, two-year-old daughter Rose, and youngest daughter Belle, aged one. Joe also has a 16-year-old son of his own, named Harry, from a previous relationship with ex-fiancée Emma Sophocleous. As a mother of such a brood of children, Stacey is in the fortunate position to be able to design clothes that they can wear thanks to her deal with budget high street chains Primark.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Stacey shared an emotional post where she explained she was feeling so overwhelmed over her latest collection. She enlisted her three youngest children to help show off the new designs – sharing snaps of them wearing matching peach and white striped outfits, jungle print designs, summer outfits, and even some children’s formal wear.

Uploading the images to her feed, Stacey typed: “My Heart … I don’t know why I feel so emotional. Even after 5 years & 8 collections I still don’t know how I got so lucky. This is collection number 8!! HOW?!? 4 years I’ve had my dream job of designer children’s wear with @primark and I genuinely can not believe it.

“Each time they ask me to do it again I pinch myself because nothing is ever guaranteed and I just feel so damn lucky & privileged to get to do it. I hope you love this one as much as the others & from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU. I can’t say it enough because without you guys I would NEVER get these opportunities in the first place let alone be able to do it over & over again.”

Signing off, Stacey wrote: “Thank you thank you thank you! To the moon and back.” And with a final plug, she added: “In store from tomorrow.”

Stacey also shared her grid post via Instagram Stories – explaining that she fears she does not deserve the success she is enjoying. She wrote: “The thing is, it doesn’t matter how many times I’m lucky enough to do this. The imposter syndrome is real.”

She continued: “I am honestly so so grateful for you guys & your support. It’s down to you that I get these chances & I’ll never take it for granted. Please let me know what you think… [love you] to the moon and back always.”

Any concerns that her collection would not be appreciated by her fans were wildly off the mark, however – as many of her followers took to the comments section of her main post to congratulate her on the new designs. One hugely impressed follower wrote: “Absolutely gorgeous ! Can’t wait to shop it … love the swim towel zip throughs … you should be so proud mama.” And another gushed: “Your collections are beautiful and your children look so adorable.”And further fans urged Stacey to expand her design skills even further. One requested: “So cute! Beautiful colours … matching ones for mums now please,” along with a string of red heart emojis and a laughing face emoji. While another suggested: “I’d love to see a mother and son collection. If anyone can, you can!”

Linda Robson left husband after major disappointment in the bedroom

Loose Women star Linda Robson and ex-husband Mark Dunford ended their ‘sexless’ marriage after more than three decades. Now single, she said she isn’t looking for love

Linda Robson called it quits with her husband of three decades late last year – and she’s not held back on the intimate details of why the marriage ended.

The popular Loose Women host, 65, candidly opened up about her lacklustre union with Mark Dunford over the years and in recent times, shared her disappointment over their activity in the bedroom. Linda, who shot to fame on Birds Of A Feather, is now looking for a new place in Islington for just her and her dog after putting the family home on the market.

She previously revealed that she and Mark, the father of her two children, Louis, 32, and Bobbie, 28, “simply grew apart” and that they never had sex, labelling herself ‘celibate’. She confessed earlier this year that after losing her spark with Mark, she couldn’t be bothered to find love again and isn’t interested in all that ‘jiggy jiggy’.

As she returns to screens this morning for James Martin’s Saturday Kitchen, The Mirror takes a look at her former bumpy marriage and Linda’s first love she never quite got over…

Linda and Mark got to know each other as teens but didn’t start dating until years later. In 2017, she explained: “I used to babysit for Mark – he was a couple of years younger than me… I was 16 and he was 13 and a half, and he was a bit of a pain, to be honest. And we lived in the street next to each other.”

It wasn’t until they were both in the park one day, Linda with her eldest daughter Lauren, 40, that they crossed paths again. The pair dated and tied the knot in 1990.

However in recent times, Linda made it clear things weren’t as they seemed after more than three decades. While appearing as a panellist on ITV talk show Loose Women, she revealed the ups and downs of her marriage, admitting that things between them ‘weren’t plain-sailing’ and that she even considered herself ‘celibate’.

Linda confessed that she and Mark, whom she previously described as her ‘rock’, hadn’t had sex in two years, but that it didn’t bother her. “Can I just say I’ve been celibate for two years?” she began, “I can’t be a**** with all that [romance stuff]. I’m just happy going out with my mates and my children and my grandchildren.”

Before their separation last year, she insisted: “We’re still living together. We both love our kids more than anything else in the world, obviously, you have a few hiccups in every marriage. We’ve been married 33 years so it’s not going to be all plain sailing, but we’re still together at the moment.”

She later revealed their split in an interview with Woman magazine, confirming she was in fact single. She said of her ex-husband: “He’s a really good dad and we had some good years, but enough is enough. I’ve got my family and my kids around me. And I’m going on a cruise with Lesley Joseph in November. I’m keeping busy.”

And in an interview with OK!, she admitted they grew apart, explaining: “People do, sometimes, don’t they? We never had that much in common. I’m very sociable. Mark never enjoyed that side of thing.”

The mum believes they stayed together for more than 30 years for the sake of their children, who are now ‘grown up’ with their own lives. But while she’s officially single again, Linda is not looking for another relationship.

Speaking with OK! she squealed: “I don’t need a man. I’ve got my friends and my family. I’m not interested in dating, I’m too old now. I can’t be bothered with all that ‘jiggy jiggy’.”

Linda had eldest Lauren with her ex Tony Tyler, whom she describes as her ‘first love’. Not much is known about him but the pair were together for 11 years and welcomed their daughter before parting ways.

In 2016, Linda opened up about her heartbreak following her first love cheating on her. Speaking of her regret at how long she let her “serial cheat” ex be unfaithful, she said: “I caught him lots and lots of times, probably my biggest regret is that I didn’t finish it earlier. The strange thing was there was a family do not too long ago, and he actually blamed me for the break-up.”

She revealed how he went on to blame her for always being away for work for his infidelity. However, she furiously said at the time that the excuse was a ‘lie’ anyway, saying she “was always there”. In another segment of Loose Women, where the panel discussed the idea of how quickly they would move on and remarry after splitting up with a long-term partner, Linda was quizzed on her thoughts following her split from the father of her eldest.

“It took me a long time to get over that because that was my first love,” admitted Linda. “But I feel like I don’t really need a partner to love because I’ve got my children, my grandchildren, my sisters and my friends…”

  • Red Bull will ‘sink into MEDIOCRITY’ if Adrian Newey leaves the embattled constructor claims Michael Schumacher’s brother Ralf

Red Bull will ‘sink into MEDIOCRITY’ if Adrian Newey leaves the embattled constructor claims Michael Schumacher’s brother Ralf

Ralf Schumacher has suggested that Red Bull will ‘sink into mediocrity’ within two seasons after claiming that the embattled constructor is ‘falling apart’ after a turbulent start to the 2024 season.

Formula One was rocked last week when news broke that chief technology officer Adrian Newey is reportedly considering moving away from the team, which he joined just a year after its debut in 2005.

Newey is widely considered the mastermind behind the constructor’s riotous success, which has seen the team’s star driver Max Verstappen claim three consecutive world championships since 2021, and the constructor win the championship in 2022 and 2023.

The legendary designer is contracted with Red Bull until the end of the 2025 season, and Newey has not yet publicly commented, but reports over the weekend suggested that the two parties held showdown talks to discuss his future.

The potential loss of Newey’s technical acumen would likely prove seismic for the team, which Schumacher – who previously called for team principal Christian Horner to resign – underscored on Monday.

Adrian Newey is reportedly set to call time on his 18-year stint at embattled team Red Bull

The legendary designer is thought to have held ‘showdown’ talks with the team (pictured with principal Christian Horner)

Ralf Schumacher offered a bleak prognosis of the future without their chief technology officer

‘Adrian Newey needs harmony, he needs a good atmosphere, a good workplace,’ the brother of seven-time world champion Michael told Sky Sports Germany.

‘And at the moment, you have to say clearly: Red Bull is falling apart.’

The English-based team has been at the centre of swirling controversy in the wake of an internal investigation into the conduct of its principal Christian Horner – which, despite the husband of Geri Halliwell being cleared of the allegations, shows no sign of abating.

The female employee involved in the investigation has since launched an appeal into the verdict, and gave evidence to the newly appointed KC last week.

There has been no suggestion that the appeal is tied to Newey’s reported decision, but Schumacher claimed that blame for his looming exit should be levelled at Horner.

‘The sole responsibility for this lies with Christian Horner, who is holding onto power with all his might,’ Schumacher added.

Star driver Max Verstappen has been linked with moves away from his team amid the chaos

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff is thought to be preparing a bumper offer for the driver

‘I don’t think that will be the last problem he will have when Adrian Newey leaves him. Max Verstappen is already thinking about it too, as is Dr. Helmut Marko, if you watch him like that.’

World champion Verstappen has been unwilling to be drawn on the topic of chaos at his constructor since the start of the season, and has since been linked to a move away from Red Bull despite his contract set to run until 2028.

The Dutchman is thought to be in the process of being targeted by Mercedes, who are preparing to replace outgoing driver Lewis Hamilton at the end of the season.

Team principal Toto Wolff is reportedly gearing up to offer Verstappen a deal worth a staggering £128million per season, including bonuses.

But even if Verstappen does stay at the Milton Keynes-based constructor, Schumacher insisted the team’s prognosis is a negative one without Newey.

‘We remember last year when there were problems,’ he said.

‘(Newey) was ill once and then you immediately saw what was going on with Red Bull. Max Verstappen had difficulties.’

‘If he wants to continue (working), he has to be free. Otherwise, of course, he will still be blocked and won’t be able to work for a new team (if he breaks his contract and has to take gardening leave).

Schumacher has been levelled the blame for Newey’s possible departure at the door of Horner

‘I give Red Bull two more years and if they continue to hold on to Horner, the team will sink into mediocrity. I’m pretty sure of that.’

Newey is known as one of the greatest designers in Formula 1 history, winning 13 World Championship titles – six constructors’ crowns and seven for drivers – throughout his storied career.

Just five races into the season, on the track it appears to be business as usual for the exceedingly dominant Red Bull team.

Verstappen leads the drivers’ standings by an impressive 25 points, and the constructors’ by 44.

Christian Horner loses Red Bull mastermind Adrian Newey as world champions confirm he will leave in major blow to the team… with move to Ferrari and joining Lewis Hamilton edging closer

Adrian Newey is understood to have held talks with Ferrari this week after being released from his Red Bull contract early — a departure that was confirmed by the world championship-winning team on Wednesday.

A move to Italy would bring Formula One’s most successful designer into partnership with Lewis Hamilton, who is joining the Scuderia from Mercedes next year.

The Newey deal has yet to be done, but well-informed contacts suggest Ferrari want the 65-year-old to act as their ‘super consultant’. He currently earns £15million a year and could double his salary.

It is expected he would start in time to have a pivotal hand in the development of the next generation of Ferrari cars ahead of a major revamp of the regulations in 2026.

Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport reported Newey spoke to Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur in London on Tuesday — a story indicated to be correct to Mail Sport. We can further reveal that several key F1 figures were in London this week, including Red Bull managing director Oliver Mintzlaff.

Red Bull have confirmed the imminent departure of F1’s most successful designer Adrian Newey

Team chief Christian Horner (pictured with wife Geri Halliwell) will have to do without the mastermind behind Red Bull’s design

Newey is a legendary F1 designer and could take his services to Ferrari after his departure

Newey’s exit is an evident blow to Red Bull and embattled boss Christian Horner, the team principal who brought Newey from McLaren to Red Bull nearly 20 years ago. They have since won seven drivers’ titles in two stints together, through Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.

Newey will continue to attend races with Red Bull this season, including in Miami this weekend. He is due to travel there in Horner’s jet today.

Newey will still work on his beloved RB17 supercar project before leaving the company next spring.

Red Bull insist Newey’s departure is not directly linked to the 𝑠e𝑥 scandal that has engulfed the team since allegations of coercive behaviour were made against Horner by a female employee in February, but driven by growing resentment at how he has been less than fully credited for the team’s success. He was on the brink of resigning last year, too, but instead accepted an improved offer.

The scandal — which has seen Horner, 50, cleared in an internal investigation, subject to an ongoing appeal — stirred the pot further.

It is understood Newey felt Horner was grabbing too much of the limelight and that credit for his own input was being unevenly shared with his French design colleague Pierre Wache.

Horner paid tribute to ‘true legend’ and ‘friend’ Newey as the world champions confirmed his exit

The Red Bull chief, who has won seven world championships with Newey, paid tribute to the outgoing veteran

Newey is thought to believe credit is being too unevenly taken by the constructor’s chief engineer of performance engineering Pierre Wache

Newey could now be set to join Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari in his bid to win an eighth world title

Newey’s upcoming availability is a massive boost to Hamilton, 39, as he seeks a record eighth title, this time in red.

Newey is the greatest technical guru Formula One has ever known, having triumphed with Williams, starting with Nigel Mansell’s 1992 championship-dominating car, and McLaren, before being poached by Red Bull. In all, the nerdish genius is behind an eye-watering 25 drivers’ and constructors’ titles.

I understand Newey will either join Ferrari — the most likely eventuality — or retire. There is no other team that he would imaginably join.

Christian Horner is trolled on Instagram over his tribute to Red Bull mastermind Adrian Newey, as fans blame HIM and the ‘𝑠e𝑥 texts’ affair for him quitting: ‘He’s leaving because of you’

Christian Horner has been mocked on Instagram on the back of his tribute to Red Bull mastermind Adrian Newey.

Horner’s Red Bull team were dealt a major blow on Wednesday when they confirmed Newey, the person responsible for their dominant car, will leave the team after 18 years.

The news is the latest development in a series of events that have unfolded since Horner was accused of ‘coercive behaviour towards a female employee’, before being investigated and subsequently cleared.

Red Bull, meanwhile, insist Newey’s departure is not directly linked to the allegations that have engulfed the team since February, but driven by growing resentment at how he has been less than fully credited for the team’s success.

Red Bull boss Horner took to Instagram to pay tribute to ‘friend’ Newey, but was hit by backlash from fans who seem to refuse to move on from the allegations, which have gone to appeal.

Horner, husband of Spice Girl Geri Halliwell (left), was previously accused of ‘coercive behaviour towards a female employee’

He took to Instagram to pay tribute to Newey (left), who will leave Red Bull after 18 years

The tribute, however, backfired, with fans commenting that the Red Bull boss is to blame

‘For me, when Adrian joined Red Bull, he was already a superstar designer,’ Horner wrote in a statement that mirrored the words from his official statement released by Red Bull. ‘Two decades and 13 championships later he leaves as a true legend.

‘He is also my friend and someone I will be eternally grateful to for everything he brought to our partnership.

‘All of our greatest moments from the past 20 years have come with Adrian’s hand on the technical tiller. The legacy he leaves behind will echo through the halls of Milton Keynes and the RB17 Track Car will be a fitting testament and legacy to his time with us.’

One fan posted in response: ‘Look what you have done do the team. Such a shame honestly!’

Another added: ‘Christian can’t really see that the team is falling apart because of him and Max’s dad.’

‘You’re the reason he’s leaving buddy,’ a third wrote.

Before the start of the current Formula 1 season, Red Bull GmbH in Salzburg, the world champion team’s parent company, said in a statement: ‘The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed.

‘The complainant has a right of appeal. Red Bull is confident that the investigation has been fair, rigorous and impartial.

Horner and Newey have won a total of seven world championships together in their time at Red Bull

Fans showed little mercy when suggesting the reason for Newey’s departure from the team

‘The investigation report is confidential and contains the private information of the parties and third parties who assisted in the investigation, and, therefore, we will not be commenting further out of respect for all concerned. Red Bull will continue striving to meet the highest workplace standards.’

The exact nature of the complaints remain unknown, but what appeared to be intimate WhatsApp exchanges with a female colleague were sent to Formula One’s most influential figures.

The bombshell email contained 79 documents, including hundreds of messages, many of them apparently of a 𝑠e𝑥ual nature.

The anonymous sender copied in leading people in the sport, such as FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem and F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali, as well as accredited media gathered in Bahrain for the scandal-ridden opening race of the season.

Horner is married to Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, and the pair have remained determined to stay strong since the allegations surfaced.

They have been seen together in public a number of times since, with Halliwell attending races hand-in-hand with her husband.

Newey, meanwhile, may take up a position at Ferrari ahead of the new regulations due for introduction in 2026, which would be a major boost to the team.

A move to Italy would bring F1’s most successful designer into partnership with Lewis Hamilton, who is joining the Scuderia next year.

That deal has yet to be done, but it is understood that Newey, 65, is wanted by Ferrari to act as their ‘super consultant’. He currently earns £15million a year at Red Bull and could double his salary with the potential switch.

What appeared to be intimate WhatsApp exchanges between Horner and a female colleague were sent to Formula One’s most influential figures earlier this year

Halliwell and Horner remained strong, however, continuing to appear in public together following the allegations

The images shared by Horner included photos of celebrations involving the pair, who have won seven drivers’ championship titles during their time together.

What was meant to be a heartfelt post didn’t go to plan, however, and comments continued to roll in criticising the Red Bull principal.

‘You are fully aware he probably left because of you?’ one fan wrote, accompanied by a laughing face emoji.

Another posted: ‘He’s leaving the team cuz of you bro,’ while a third wrote: ‘It’s ur fault.’

Ever since George Russell became a Mercedes driver, he has had a tumultuous relationship with Lewis Hamilton. After beating the seven-time champion in the 2022 season, Russell has battled with him at every opportunity he’s gotten, yet kept a good dynamic with him. Meanwhile, Hamilton has also moved on from his 2021 title loss and worked well with the 26-year-old. Now with Hamilton set to join Ferrari in 2025, Russell has shared how it is the right time for him to leave.

“It’s a fresh start for the team,” says Russell as quoted by Daily Mail. “So many people here have shared success with Lewis, but change often ignites a new spark for everyone. It does that for Lewis, and it sparks that for us here next year.”

“It is good that Lewis is leaving us now — rather in 2021, when it would have been difficult for the whole team. You have to adopt and evolve, and we are in that process of building from the ground up.”

The team leadership will surely shift and land in Russell’s lap. However, the 26-year-old can’t deny the immeasurable experience and expertise the #44 driver brought to the table. Hamilton‘s persistence put the team on a path because of which they secured P2 in the champions last year.

On a personal level, the King’s Lynn native had the opportunity to work in close quarters with the seven-time champion. Russell also highlighted he will use the experience he has gathered to grow in the sport. These learnings will also come in handy as Mercedes rebuilds and tries to get back to winning ways in the future.

Despite recent criticism, Toto Wolff admits there is no discrimination between Lewis Hamilton and George Russell

Lewis Hamilton made headlines with a confession in Monaco that hinted at favoritism toward Russell from the team. Many took the admission as the Brackley outfit’s preparation for 2025.

However, team boss Toto Wolff admitted there was no discrimination between the two Mercedes men. He pointed out that the comments from Hamilton are just part of the occasional skepticism that every driver feels.

As quoted by Planet Sport, he said, “Aren’t all drivers a bit skeptical at times? I think as a team we have demonstrated even in the most tense competitions between team-mates that we are trying to always balance it right, and be transparent and fair.”

“As a team, we are 100% on a mission of giving the two drivers two great cars, the best possible cars, and best possible strategies and support.”

Mercedes’ oldest ally might be feeling a bit out of place in the same place he’s been for the past 11 years. However, according to Wolff, any suggestion of the scales being tipped in Russell’s favor is not true. However, only time and a head-on battle on the track will reveal whether these accusations are true or not.
