‘Unimpressed’ Meghan Markle got ‘dressing down’ by Queen over one remark

Meghan Markle is said to have been taken to one side by the Queen during a taste-testing event ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018

An “unimpressed” Meghan Markle is said to have received a dressing down by the late Queen for her actions at a food tasting event prior to her wedding to Prince Harry.

The former Suits star is alleged to have been unhappy while taste-testing for her wedding in 2018 and is said to have let her feelings be known. It’s reported the now Duchess of Sussex got “very upset” after saying she “felt that she could taste egg” in one of the dishes that had been prepared.

Explaining the scenario, a royal author claims Meghan was told there was no egg in the dish, but she didn’t believe them. Instead, Meghan allegedly hit back: “No, I can taste it.”

Speaking of the apparent altercation, royal author Katie Nicholl claimed to Yahoo’s Royal Box that Queen Elizabeth II then intervened. She claims the late monarch, who died in 2022, walked into the room at Windsor Castle and “quietly took Meghan to the side”. She allegedly told Meghan “the Royal Family does not speak to people like that”.

The resurfaced alleged comments come after the First Lady of Nigeria was forced to speak out on apparent criticism she made of Meghan during the Sussex’s trip to Nigeria last month. Reports said Oluremi Tinubu had berated Meghan for dressing indecently as she gave a speech at an event to mark President Bola Tinubu’s one year in office.

However, the country’s First Lady has since denied this was the case. She clarified that her comments were actually aimed at young Nigerian women. The TV station that filmed the speech also denied that Tinubu had reprimanded Meghan. Tinubu’s office said the comments, which were reported following a video shared on social media, had been taken out of context. They told AFP Fact Check: “She meant Meghan appreciates the people we are and hence her coming here. At no point did she say anything about Meghan’s dressing.”

The comments in question had saw Tinubu say: “The message here is we have to salvage our children. We see the way they dress. They keep forgetting that Nigeria, we are beautiful. You can see what they showcase on the stage, I said, ‘We are fashionable, we see what is going on’.

“We are not having the Met Gala. And everyone, the nakedness, is just everywhere and the men are well-clothed. So we have to do something. Tell them we don’t accept nakedness in our culture. That is not beautiful. It’s not beautiful at all.

“And they’re all beautiful girls, but they should be confident in who they are. They do not want to mimic and try to emulate film stars from America. They don’t know where they come from. Why did Meghan come here looking for Africa? That is something we have to take home with. We know who we are. Don’t lose who you are.”

Inside Charles and David Beckham’s secret Highgrove meeting as King battles cancer

Former England star David Beckham has become an ambassador for the King’s Foundation, King Charles’ charity which supports people to make the most of their community

Candid photographs capture the heartwarming moment King Charles bonded with David Beckham at Highgrove Estate – and the monarch made the former footballer ambassador for his charity.

Despite battling cancer, King Charles, 75, took the time to host the former England captain and give him a tour around the sprawling home and 15-acre gardens in Gloucestershire last month. The pair shared beekeeping tips as Beckham, 49, developed an interest in the quirky pastime during the Covid lockdown.

And charming pictures, released this week, show Beckham laughing and smiling with an equally relaxed and cheerful King. It has now emerged the jovial meeting was one of Charles’s first duties back at work after his cancer diagnosis. However, it happened around the time Prince Harry was on a brief visit to the UK – as part of his Invictus Games tour – but was unable to meet his father.

Nevertheless, the monarch highlighted the importance of the tete-a-tete with Becks, who played for his country for 13 years, as he made him ambassador for the King’s Foundation. The charity, established in 1986 when Charles was Prince of Wales, is run from Dumfries House in Scotland. It aims to support “sustainable communities” and spearheads education courses for young people, often with a focus on rural skills.

Beckham, who is the first ambassador to be named by the charity since Charles was crowned, said: “I’m excited to be working with the King’s Foundation and to have the opportunity to help raise awareness of the charity’s work. I’ve always been keen to help young people to expand their horizons and I’m particularly looking forward to supporting the foundation’s education programmes and its efforts to ensure young people have greater access to nature.

The former Manchester United star has in the past expressed his desire to receive a knighthood. He was snubbed in December, despite playing 115 times for England and scoring 17 goals, winning 19 major trophies in his career, and since doing charity work.

But the charity appointment is a boost for the sports star, born in Leytonstone, east London, and sources believe King Charles values his friendship and input to the foundation highly. Last year, Beckham gave Charles a jar of his homemade honey – and the King, who has kept beehives at his royal estates, joked at the time: “We shall have to do a swap.”

Speaking about his new role, father-of-four Beckham said: “It was inspiring to hear from the King about His Majesty’s foundation during my visit to Highgrove Gardens and compare beekeeping tips.

“Having developed a love for the countryside, I’m also on a personal mission to learn more about rural skills which are so central to the foundation’s work.”

DON’T MISSBecks will promote awareness of the charity by supporting campaigns and attending events, including the upcoming King’s Foundation Awards. He will also likely share updates about the foundation’s work to his 87.8 million Instagram followers.

The King’s Foundation, renamed to reflect Charles’s accession, is reshaping its image after its former chief executive, the King’s long-time aide Michael Fawcett, was forced to step down over a scandal involving donations from a foreign tycoon.

Two staff members were questioned by police after the mainstream media exposed the scandal, but last year the investigation was closed with no charges brought.

During his Highgrove visit, the football star, who received the OBE in 2003, was also introduced to students at Highgrove, whose tuition fees and materials are covered by foundation scholarships.

He met pupils studying woodwork, furniture-making and embroidery, the latter funded by the King’s Foundation in partnership with Chanel, whose students are taught traditional hand-sewing techniques that are highly coveted by haute couture designers.

Since retiring from football in May 2013 after a 20-year career, Beckham launched 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund. He has been a UNICEF ambassador since 2005 when he played for Real Madrid.

His footballer career saw Beckham score 97 goals in domestic matches across 21 years, including 62 for Manchester United and 18 for LA Galaxy in the US. The midfielder was hailed as one of the best free-kick takers of all time, and received praise for his excellent crossing and passing abilities.

Beckham married Victoria Adams, nicknamed Posh Spice, in 1999 and they have four children, including Brooklyn and Romeo. As of May 2019, the couple’s joint wealth is estimated at £355 million. She too has joined her husband in charity and business ventures over the years.

Prince Harry hugs Princess Diana’s siblings as Royal Family absent from Invictus Games ceremony

Prince Harry hugged Diana’s brother Earl Spencer and her sister Lady Jane Fellowes, who supported him during a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games this week

Prince Harry was seen hugging Princess Diana’s siblings at St Paul’s Cathedral earlier this week during a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games which was not attended by the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex smiled when he embraced his mother’s side of the family at the service. A viral clip shows the moment he hugged Diana’s younger brother Earl Spencer, as well as her elder sister, Lady Jane Fellowes.

The event was attended by dignitaries, politicians and close friends of Harry, but his father King Charles and brother Prince William were not in attendance. The ceremony to recognise the Paralympic-style competition Harry founded in 2014 began as a few miles away Charles met guests at the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the year.

The monarch and his son didn’t meet during the Duke’s brief UK visit due to the King’s “full programme”, said Harry’s spokesman in a statement. Among the guests for the service were Diana’s siblings and former army officer Mark Dyer, who acted as the duke’s mentor, playing the role of a supportive big brother figure for Harry after the princess’s death.

Crowds had gathered around crash barriers to see the duke’s car pull up, and there was a large number of journalists, photographers, and camera operators covering his every move. Harry acknowledged them with a wave as he strode up St Paul’s steps and was warmly greeted by the Dean of St Paul’s, the Very Reverend Andrew Tremlett.

Princess Diana's family supported Harry on the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games

Harry was inspired to found the global tournament after attending the Warrior Games in Colorado in 2013 and seeing how injured American military personnel thrived on the challenge of taking part in competitive sports that aided their recovery. He went on to stage the inaugural games in London’s Olympic Park in 2014 and the tournament has been held across the globe from Orlando and Sydney to Dusseldorf in 2023, with the 2025 event being hosted in Vancouver and Whistler.

The St Paul’s congregation of just over 1,000 people gave a standing ovation after ex-RAF servicewoman Michelle Turner, husband John and daughter Maya each read verses of a poem that described their experiences following Mrs Turner’s medical discharge, after a tropical disease she caught while on deployment affected her heart. Mrs Turner, Team UK captain for the 2018 Games, told the guests: “Wounded, injured, sick, and now with no career: consumed by insecurities, the pain and the fear.

“Our lives were upside down, how could it be, that the little girl I was meant to protect, was now looking after me.” At the end, after her voice broke with emotion as she said “Thank you Invictus for giving my life back”, the congregation stood and applauded.

The Dean of St Paul’s echoed her words in his sermon when he said the Invictus Games Foundation, which organises the competition, was ” … not only changing lives through sport but quite literally by saving lives.” Harry later made a surprise visit to a charity event, spending the afternoon with 50 children and young people, aged between six and 22, who had experienced the death of a military parent.

DON’T MISSHe took part in games – including one which saw the duke use a straw to transport Smarties as quickly as possible – and spoke to the youngsters as part of the fun-filled event hosted in London by Scotty’s Little Soldiers. Harry also spent time talking to nine members from Scotty’s Council, a group of young people who represent the charity’s other members, who discussed their experiences of growing up without a parent.

The duke, 39, completed two tours of Afghanistan between 2007 and 2013 as a forward air controller and an Apache helicopter pilot, having flown countless training missions in the UK, US and Australia. He said: “It was an honour to meet so many of the wonderful families Scotty’s Little Soldiers supports.

“I have long believed in the mission of this charity, and I truly believe the work they do to foster community and create space for young people to connect, grieve, but also have fun together is life-changing. I am a huge supporter of their work, and very proud to be their first global ambassador.”

The charity – for which the duke became a global ambassador in November – was one of seven which had been nominated by Harry and Meghan to benefit from donations marking the couple’s wedding ceremony in 2018. Harry has been involved with the charity since 2017 and recorded a special video message in 2022 dressed as Spider-Man for its children’s Christmas party.

Meghan Markle ‘never understood her Royal role’ claims expert

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped back as senior royals in March 2020, less than two years after their fairytale wedding at Windsor Castle – and it’s been claimed Meghan was never fully prepared for the role

During her stint as a senior royal, Meghan Markle was actively involved with numerous charities and spearheaded several key initiatives. Her focus areas included mental health, women’s rights, animal welfare, and community cohesion. Despite The Duchess of Sussex’s keen interest in charitable work, her relatively short tenure within the Royal family surprised many observers some suggest her exit was influenced by misunderstandings about her role.

Former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond shared her insights with OK! stating: “I have always held the view that Meghan failed to understand that she would never be the top dog in the Royal Family… or even the deputy top dog.”

Jennie further commented: “There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be in complete control and charge of your life. There’s nothing wrong with seeking the limelight. It’s just that the Royal Family was the wrong vehicle for her ambitions.”

However, Jennie also shed light on what truly drives Meghan, which might not align with public perception.

Royal expert Jennie Bond has weighed in on Meghan's true aspirations as she doesn't believe she 'craves a superstar profile'

“I’m not sure she craves a superstar profile,” Jennie noted. “In fact she’s been quite low-key in recent times, presumably enjoying her family life in California. But she has projects in the pipeline with her website and I’m sure she will enjoy being in control of every detail.”

“She is an independent woman with strong views and she is perfectly entitled to deploy her skills in any way she wants.”

Jennie’s comments come after a commentator pointed out that Meghan seemed more inclined towards a life under the public eye, unlike Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie who have chosen a more “quiet” existence.

Jane Barr, writing in the From Berkshire to Buckingham newsletter, argued that the concept of Harry and Meghan being “half in, half out” in terms of their Royal responsibilities simply wouldn’t have been feasible. She suggested: “She [Meghan] would not have been happy with the ultimately quiet or truly independent/non-royal lives that William and Harry’s cousins actually live.”

The Duke and Duchess recently returned from a trip to Nigeria, which was widely considered an ‘unofficial royal tour’

Jane then continued: “Looking back to Megxit, Harry was not just the grandson of the Queen, the same relationship all his cousins had to the sovereign, he was the son of the future King. William and Harry were – from birth – preeminent royals, while their cousins, although celebrated, surely, began as secondary royals and only continued to fade as the years went by.

“Harry seems so bitter about being the spare, but he has always been quite senior to his cousins, and treated accordingly.”

She elaborated, pointing out that unlike Beatrice and Eugenie who maintain regular jobs without high-profile deals, “Meghan wanted to take her HRH and her title and be a superstar in her own sphere on the international stage.”

Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe also recently suggested that Meghan is overshadowing her husband, fitting into Harry’s tendency to play “second fiddle”.

Speaking to OK! earlier this month, he said: “Meghan is a very strong character, very driven, extremely ambitious, and those are the kind of characteristics that mean she will almost always inevitably outshine Harry and grab the attention from him. Harry is entirely in her shadow. But he’s never really been at ease with the attention, he’s never really enjoyed it.”

Duncan then added: “Whether it’s deliberate or not, Meghan is definitely a magnet for attention. Although we saw a huge amount of money spent on her combined outfits for Nigeria so maybe it’s not a complete accident that she steals the limelight. Their Nigeria trip was ‘The Meghan Show’ and Harry was the side.”.

Mike Tyson’s prediction for Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury revealed as Brit mega-fight potentially on course for late 2024

ANTHONY JOSHUA’s long-awaited showdown with Tyson Fury could finally come to fruition this year.

AJ is back in world title contention following consecutive wins over Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin last year.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson reckons Fury will do a number on AJCredit: GETTY

His trio of wins have put him on the cusp of potentially fighting for the IBF heavyweight title, which is expected to become vacant after Fury’s undisputed title fight with Oleksandr Usyk next month.

Reclaiming the IBF crown for the second time could pave the way for a historic domestic dust-up with Fury, provided his fellow Brit gets through Usyk.

The boxing world is currently divided over who will win the showdown following AJ’s resurgence and Fury’s embarrassing display against debutant Francis Ngannou last October.

But boxing icon Tyson has already made a definitive prediction for the Battle of Britain, telling Haute Living: “I love Joshua, but I think Tyson’s too elusive he’s not going to hit him.

    “We’re keeping it honest right?

“I like Joshua a lot and Joshua maybe punches harder than [Deontay] Wilder, but he doesn’t punch faster than Wilder.

“If he doesn’t punch faster than Wilder, he’s not going to f**king touch this guy.

“That’s just what I see. He punches hard, but he doesn’t punch fast.

“If Tyson Fury can get away from Wilder’s fast punches, then Joshua might be in trouble.”

Joshua’s road to a potential Fury fight goes through former UFC heavyweight king Ngannou, who he faces in Saudi Arabia on March 8.

And the Watford warrior is refusing to underestimate The Predator after watching him shock the world and put Fury on his backside in their controversial crossover clash.

He said: “If Tyson underestimated Ngannou, I sure won’t. Francis has lost the element of surprise with me.

“We knew Francis had a reputation as the biggest puncher in the world but the surprise was how well he boxed.

“He was exceptional on the inside and made life very complicated for Tyson.

“So much so that I do belong to the opinion that he beat Fury.”

What did Mike Tyson say when Tyson Fury was about to fight Anthony Joshua again? What do audiences expec from this fight ?

What did Mike Tyson say when Tyson Fury was about to fight Anthony Joshua again?

Soon, a highly anticipated reunion will come. It is a rematch between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Before the match, Mike Tyson had a few words to share about these two main characters. For him, he doesn’t value Anthony Joshua’s tactics too highly. He thinks that Anthony Joshua’s fighting style is too easy to be caught. Facing an experienced opponent like Tyson Fury, it will be a really difficult problem.

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua: What do audiences expect?

In the early stages of 2021, one of the most anticipated matches by the audience is Tyson Fury (WBC) vs. Anthony Joshua (WBO, IBF, WBA). Those are matches within the heavyweight framework.

Both are top stars in the world-class heavyweight division. Fans evaluate this as an evenly matched match. But experts do not view this match as balanced. Experts have a higher opinion of Tyson Fury’s ability to win. Although in 2012, Anthony Joshua shocked the world with his Olympic gold medal.

What did Mike Tyson say when Tyson Fury was about to fight Anthony Joshua again?

“An exciting fight, Joshua was at a master level. But you can see his punch, he shows it every time he throws a punch.” – Mike Tyson commented in a conversation with Joshua’s manager Eddie Hearn.

“It’s a recipe for disaster if you fight Tyson Fury and expose yourself like that, against a guy over 2 meters tall.”

    Is Mike Tyson’s opinion well-founded?

Mike Tyson’s comments are not completely unfounded. Because up until now, Tyson Fury’s fighting style that takes advantage of his tall body, speed and superior evasion ability has always been a very difficult target for his opponents to grasp.

On the contrary, Anthony Joshua had a time when he was stuck between two options: “flexibility” and “strength” in his fighting style. Along with the loss in height and arm span, just a small mistake against Tyson Fury can cause him to lose the initiative against his opponent.

The super match between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua has entered the final stage of negotiations. When “obstacles” such as the request to defend the title from the WBO with Joshua, or the rematch clause for Deontay Wilder with Tyson Fury, were all handled satisfactorily.

    Who is Mike Tyson?

Michael Gerard “Mike” Tyson is a former American boxer. He was once the absolute heavyweight champion in boxing, the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA and IBF championship belts at the age of 20 years, 4 months and 22 days.

Tyson won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round. Tyson won the WBC title after defeating Trevor Berbick by technical knockout in the second round. In 1987, Tyson won the WBA and IBF titles after defeating James Smith and Tony Tucker. This made Tyson the first heavyweight champion to hold all three WBA, WBC and IBF belts simultaneously, and the only one to unify them to date.

“Mike Tyson’s people called me and offered to fight at a price of up to 620 million USD. But I think this is an unreasonable request, the price is crazy. Nothing happened and there was no agreement.” Which agreement is signed? ” Fury told IFL TV.

After announcing his return to the ring, Tyson received many offers to fight in charity matches. But “Iron Fist” intends to compete with old rival Evander Holyfield, even challenging 31-year-old champion Tyson Fury.

Fury currently holds the WBC heavyweight title after his victory over Deontay Wilder in February. The Russian boxer also confirmed his agreement to fight Anthony Joshua in 2021 to determine the absolute champion, after having a rematch. 3rd time with Wilder.

“The Gypsy King” also said he had received a request from ESPN to fight Tyson: “I was offered an exhibition match with Tyson from ESPN for more than 10 million USD. I see this as the real deal.” reasonable proposal”.

Fury currently has an unbeaten record with 30 wins and one draw, including 21 knockout wins. Regarding Tyson’s proposal, many experts believe that the American legend cannot defeat his juniors, and may even die in the ring.

“I admire Tyson, but can’t fight him. If I win, I’m a bully. If I lose, I’m trash for losing to an old man. I can make money from this match , but that’s money I don’t need when fighting a man who is no longer the best,” Fury added.

When Tyson Fury Ended Mike Tyson Debate With One Brutally Honest Line

The sport of boxing is blessed with several legendary fighters that have graced the squared circle. Among them, are the undefeated WBC and lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. These two legends have etched their names in the history of the sport.

However, a dream matchup between the two ‘Tysons’ would break the internet and shock the whole world. Fury has shed some light on that prospect.

Who would win between Tyson Fury and Mike Tyson?

The world would go berserk if they witnessed the ‘Baddest Man on Planet’ take on ‘The Gypsy King’ while both fighters are in their prime. However, the WBC and lineal heavyweight champion doesn’t believe the match would be that exciting.

According to Fury, the fight would be over in an instant as he said “I think Mike Tyson would knock me out in thirty seconds.” A brutal yet honest response by the undefeated fighter. Moreover, the British boxer bows his head in front of Tyson with respect.

Although fans all around the world would do anything to witness this groundbreaking event between the two heavyweight giants, Fury has expressed his humility and gratitude for the legendary boxer.

The origins of Tyson Fury’s name

Even though the idea of the two iconic heavyweights challenging each other is a jaw-dropping one, the two fighters themselves are huge admirers of each other. The reason behind Tyson Fury’s name is as poetic as things can get.

Fury featured in Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson. During the interview, he revealed how he miraculously survived premature birth. Following this, his father, John Fury, named him after one of the greatest heavyweight champions, Mike Tyson.

  • Tyson Fury calls Jake Paul’s shock fight with Mike Tyson ‘FANTASTIC for boxing’… and predicts both fighters

Tyson Fury calls Jake Paul’s shock fight with Mike Tyson ‘FANTASTIC for boxing’… and predicts both fighters

Tyson Fury has described the controversial upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson as ‘fantastic for boxing’ – despite a number of his peers criticising the surprising match-up.

The fight – which will take place on July 20 and be broadcast on streaming service Netflix – will see the 27-year-old YouTuber turned fighter go up against an opponent 30 years his senior, who has not fought since his exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

Paul’s promoters are claimed to be pushing for the fight itself to be made a professional contest, despite the fact that Tyson has not been seen in a professional ring since 2005.

By contrast, Paul has compiled a record of nine wins and one defeat over the last four years, with six of his victories ending in a knockout to highlight his punching power, despite his lack of experience.

While some are excited to see the return of Iron Mike to the ring, many have raised eyebrows about the unlikely pairing.

Tyson Fury has applauded the proposed July meeting between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson

There is a 30-year age difference between the rivals, with Tyson set to turn 58 before the bout

The contest will take place at the A&T Arena in Arlington, Texas and stream live on Netflix

But Fury was more energised about the prospect, as he stressed that it wasn’t his place to judge whether the fight should go ahead or not.

‘I think it’s fantastic for boxing,’ Fury said on The Stomping Ground. ‘You’ve got a legend in Mike Tyson, you’ve got a YouTube boxer who’s come into the game and blew it up and has got millions of followers and millions of views and millions of eyes – good, bad or indifferent.

‘Some people love (Paul), some people hate him.

‘So, I think it’s a really good spectacle for boxing, brings a lot of people to the game. Listen, who am I to say Mike Tyson shouldn’t be boxing, or Jake Paul shouldn’t be boxing?

‘Good luck to them, they’re both gonna make what I call “a s***-ton of money” out of it, so isn’t that what it’s about?’

The heavyweight champion also had high praise for the stadium the pair will meet in, the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

‘I’ve been to that stadium, when Billy Joe (Saunders) fought Canelo (Saul Alvarez),’ Fury continued. ‘It’s a great stadium, it’ll be fantastic for the guys.

‘Both are getting paid, both are gonna put on a show. I just don’t know what’s not to like.

‘Okay, (one) guy is 57 years old, but he’s a former undisputed world heavyweight king.

‘(Paul has gone) from being a kid on the Disney channel to fighting Mike Tyson, who wouldn’t want to do that? You’ve got to admire them both.’

Tyson has not fought a professional bout since 2005 and hasn’t stepped in the ring since 2020

By contrast the YouTuber has won nine times and been defeated once over the past four years

Fury – who is due to contest his own big-money match-up when he meets Oleksandr Usyk in their delayed undisputed heavyweight champion clash on May 8 – suggested that the contest itself will be’pretty even’.

But the Gypsy King also hinted at the real reason both Paul and Tyson might have agreed to face off against one another in July.

‘People say, “Ah, it’s s***,’”and this, that and the other,’ Fury suggested. ‘But I bet they still watch it.

    ‘Who’s not intrigued?’

Unbelievable Knockout: Tyson Fury’s Amazement Evident as He Witnesses Anthony Joshua’s Dominant Second-Round Victory Over Francis Ngannou

Anthony Joshua brutally knocked out Francis Ngannou in the second round, leaving Tyson Fury stunned.

The Gypsy King saw Joshua battle the former UFC fighter, whose lone previous professional bout had been against Fury last October, in the main event in Riyadh.

Ngannou stunned everyone by going the distance with Fury and bringing the heavyweight to the ground during that bout.

Following that effort, Fury and Joshua squared up, but Fury had to watch as the British boxer delivered a devastating display.

A stunning right hand eventually put a stop to the fight, which had seen the 34-year-old knock Ngannou twice in the first two rounds.

The Gypsy King looked deep in thought as he watched what just happened inside the ring.

Joshua took just two rounds to defeat Ngannou, sending him packing with a brutal right hand

The knockout punch saw the Cameroonian hit the canvas and remain as doctors and trainers attempted to revive him following the match-ending blow.

As Joshua celebrated his statement victory, Fury watched on with a look of shock, staring at the floor in disbelief at the manner of AJ’s victory.

Back in the ring, Joshua could be seen pulling a trigger with his hand in the direction of those watching at ringside, although it’s not clear if it was aimed at the Gypsy King.

The win for Joshua now puts him in prime position to face the winner of Fury’s clash with Oleksandr Usyk later this year, setting up a possible showdown between Britain’s two heavyweights.

After the bout, Eddie Hearn spoke of a possible meeting between the two, pleading for Fury to beat the Ukrainian in May and set up what he called ‘the biggest fight in British boxing history.’

Fury’s response to seeing events unfold in the Middle East, could indicate his realisation of Anthony Joshua’s rise back to the best shape he’s possibly ever been in.

Earlier in the evening the 35-year-old had a much better reaction watching his brother, Roman Fury, win his bout against Martin Svarc on the show’s undercard.
