Jon Jones ‘Could Beat Mike Tyson And Muhammad Ali In The Same Day,’ Says Chael Sonnen

Chael Sonnen claimed that the “reality” is Jon Jones could defeat boxing legends Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali in the same day.

The former MMA fighter, 43, crossed paths with UFC legend Jones for the light heavyweight championship at UFC 159 in 2013.

But ahead of the event, Sonnen showered the then-young champ with praise and claimed that he underestimated his talent.

The ESPN analyst said during a UFC 159 media conference call: “I don’t think he understands how good he is.

“For him to pay tribute to Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali earlier was a very nice thing for him to do, but the reality is that Jon Jones could beat Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali in the same day.”

Jones, 32, sealed a first-round TKO victory over Sonnen at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Prior to the event, ‘Bones’ was behind Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell for the most successful light heavyweight title defences in UFC history.

And Jones’ victory at the time allowed him to tie Tito Ortiz’s record at the time for the most successful light heavyweight title defences.

Even before the fight at UFC 159, Sonnen suggested that ‘Bones’ didn’t need to do anything else to prove that he was the best in MMA history.

According to the ex-UFC fighter, Jones is the “best in the weight class” and he is the “best the weight class has ever seen.”

Sonnen explained at the time: “When he says he wants to be the best ever, Jon, newsflash buddy, you are the best.

“As far as tying Tito Ortiz, maybe he had a couple more wins, but he hasn’t had the competition that you’ve faced.

“I’m not going to try to degrade Jon. He’s a world champion, he’s the best in the weight class and he’s the best the weight class has ever seen.”

‘Iron’ Mike wrote in the caption for his Instagram video: “He just started. Not trying to box just trying to stay fit.

“Morning workouts with the Baddest Dad on the Planet.”

And fight fans were impressed with the youngster’s showing and believe he should follow in his dad’s footsteps.

One fan posted: “Looks like a career to me.”

While someone else wrote: “Without a doubt he can do it, especially with the greatest champ of all time training him. If he goes after it with the same heart and drive Iron Mike did there will be no stopping him.”

A third fan said: “Boy got some heavy hands.”

And a fourth added: “Nice!!! Looking like the young mike.”

Tyson, 53, was one of the most feared punchers in boxing history and built an incredible legacy in the sport.

The ex-boxing superstar became the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title and was also undisputed world heavyweight champion.

Tyson posted the video of his son on social media after former WBC champ Deontay Wilder boasted that he could have beaten a prime version of ‘Iron’ Mike.

When TMZ asked Tyson if he could see Wilder beating him in his prime, he simply responded: “I don’t think so.”

Wilder also launched an astonishing rant against Tyson’s boxing record during an Instagram Live session in 2017.

Meghan Markle reportedly ‘won’t be pleased’ after her father sent his support to King Charles, according to a royal expert.

King Charles is stepping down from his royal duties for the time being after he was diagnosed with cancer, reports the Express. Many people have sent their well-wishes to the monarch following this saddening news – including Thomas Markle.

Thomas told the Daily Mail: “I want to send my best wishes to King Charles and hope he gets well very soon. I wish him all the good wishes in the world.”

The Duchess of Sussex is unlikely to be rather impressed by her dad’s comments given how damaged their relationship has become. Speaking to the Daily Mirror, PR expert Ryan McCormick said: “I would imagine that Meghan would not be pleased at her father making a public gesture of well wishes to Charles.

“This doesn’t make the Duchess of Sussex look good and it re-hashes Markle’s dirty laundry pertaining to family affairs.”

Meghan Markle could land in hot water over lack of 'concern' for King Charles

Meghan’s relationship with her father has been strained since 2018 after Thomas staged paparazzi photos before the Sussexes’ wedding He then agreed to multiple interviews to the media and released a private letter from his daughter to the press as well.

In 2020, Thomas made a documentary called ‘Thomas Markle: My Story’, in which he was extremely critical of his daughter. Harry also doesn’t have a particularly great relationship with his father either after he exited from his royal duties in 2020.

The Duke did indeed travel to the UK to see his father following the news of his cancer diagnosis.

Actor Michael Jai White Claimed he would win his boxing match against Mike Tyson

Everyone in the combat community loves and respects Mike Tyson. Although the legendary boxer has faced his share of difficulties in life, be it legal, financial or personal, nothing has deterred him from rising above and creating a new version of himself. Tyson has led a life that one might call ‘controversial’ but the fact that he is still equipped with the skills to defeat most fighters is undeniable.

Hollywood actor Michael Jai White has sparred with UFC HW Jon Jones and the former HW Francis Ngannou, among others. The fighter, who has played the lead in movies like Never Back Down: No Surrender and Blood and Bone, among others, had once opened up on a potential fight against boxing legend, Iron Mike Tyson.

Confident of a win over Mike Tyson? Michael Jai White shares his opinion on a hypothetical fight

In an interview with djvlad on YouTube, Michael Jai White once discussed how he would react if he got called up for a hypothetical fight against one of boxing’s greatest sons – Mike Tyson.

The interviewer pointed out that White and Mike Tyson were ‘roughly’ of the same age, height, and weight. The interviewer asked Michael Jai White if he would accept an opportunity to box with Mike Tyson for an exhibition match.

Yeah, of course! To box Mike Tyson? I would love that!“, replied White, beaming with excitement, almost astounded at the question.

The interviewer was in disbelief and tried to remind White that he was making the claim for the whole world to see.

Of course, what would… how… why would I not do something like that? Like why would I not?“, reiterated White, visibly confused by the interviewer’s question.

The second question that he was asked was if he thought he could win against Tyson.

A supremely confident Michael Jai White answered saying, “Yeah, of course, I think I would win.“.Không có mô tả.

A Bad Review – When Mike Tyson trashed Michael Jai White’s role in ‘Tyson’

Michael Jai White played the role of Mike Tyson in the 1995 film, ‘Tyson’, which showed the story of the boxer. Tyson, apparently, was not very happy with the movie and had called it ‘garbage’ at some point. The film didn’t do well commercially either.

White had also recounted an encounter with Mike Tyson where he squared up with him. Apparently, Mike Tyson was joking when he started jostling around with White at a Comic Con.

Meghan Markle appears to be wearing a different engagement ring to the one Prince Harry first proposed to her with back in November 2017 after he popped the question at Kensington Palace around seven years ago now.

The Duke of Sussex reportedly asked the former Suits actress to be his wife on a blanket in Kensington Palace’s north garden, surrounded by electric candles. However the Duchess appears to be wearing a now different ring.

The original two diamond ring Harry gave her when he proposed to his now wife featured precious stones which came from his late mother Princess Diana’s collection and one from Botswana.

They sat beautifully on the rings thick gold band, but it appears the piece of jewellery has been significantly redesigned and the diamonds now take residence and a much thinner band.

However it’s unclear according to the Mirror when and where the alteration took place – if it was whilst the former working royals resided in the UK or after they dropped their royal duties and moved across to the US.

Meghan wears her engagement ring alongside her wedding ring which is made from Welsh gold as is traditional for royal women.

Elsewhere, Harry has made a whirlwind visit back to the UK to visit his dad King Charles for the first time in nine months after they put aside the ongoing royal feuds in the light of the monarch’s cancer news.

Upon finding out his cancer diagnosis, Charles reportedly called both his sons Harry and William to deliver the news to them personally – as well as his siblings the Princess Royal, the Duke of York and the Duke of Edinburgh.

It is believed Harry agreed to delay his visit to the UK until a public announcement was made by Buckingham Palace on Monday which confirmed King Charles will be undergoing specialist treatment for cancer, which the form of which has not been made public knowledge.

  • Harry and Meghan ‘dreading’ Kate and William’s tell-all book, royal insider claims

Harry and Meghan ‘dreading’ Kate and William’s tell-all book, royal insider claims

Princess of Wales’ uncle says he will ‘set the record straight’ and ‘give the Middleton family a voice’ amidst the revelations released by Harry and Meghan, a royal source has claimed

A Royal Family insider has said that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are worried about a forthcoming ‘bombshell’ memoir by the Princess of Wales’ uncle.

Gary Goldsmith – the younger brother of Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton – is preparing to reveal “private family details”, and will use this as an opportunity to give the Middleton family “a voice” in the midst of accusations and criticism levelled at the House of Windsor by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The source said Gary aims to “set the record straight” in the form of a “comeback” account almost a year since the release of the Sussexes’ explosive tell-all Netflix docuseries and Prince Harry ’s book Spare, both of which dropped several bombshells about the Royal Family.

This is an image of Gary Goldsmith

They said: “When Harry was originally compiling his book, his publisher was confident William wouldn’t comment, because it wouldn’t be fitting for a future King to do so. Harry wouldn’t have anticipated such a comeback from Kate’s family. He and Meghan won’t like it one bit and will be dreading the book’s release.”

Gary, 58, first spoke about penning his memoir back in 2013, and while he initially stressed he wouldn’t reveal secrets that might embarrass his royal niece or her husband, both 41, it appears he has since decided against that stance.

According to OK, the source added: “Gary has been talking to the press a lot lately and his comments seem to have gone down well with some people, especially his criticism of Harry and Meghan. He did originally plan to focus the book on himself and his journey to becoming a millionaire, but he will now add in some private family details.”

Although it is likely there will be some shock revelations released, Gary, who has made a £30 million fortune through his IT recruitment business, will have Carole and Kate look over the manuscript before it gets passed on to the publisher.

They explained: “Gary is still very close to both Carole and Kate. He won’t want to do anything that will embarrass them, but it could be a good way of putting a Middleton voice out there to set the record straight over some of the things Harry wrote about in Spare.”

The self-titled six-part TV series released in December last year by Harry, 39 and Meghan, contained an accusation that his brother had betrayed his trust by releasing stories to the press. He also claimed William had reportedly screamed and shouted at him during a meeting about his and Meghan’s decision to quit as senior royals.

Harry also claimed many of the men in his family married “someone who would fit the mould as opposed to somebody who you are perhaps destined to be with”, which was interpreted by many as him having another go at his brother.

And it won’t just be Harry who is caught off balance by Gary’s memoir, with the source claiming Meghan, 42, is likely to be just as blindsided. They said: “Meghan won’t be expecting Kate’s family to get back at her. She’s very aware that the royals ‘never complain, never explain’ as the saying goes.”

One story in Spare proved to be seismic, with Harry claiming William had “knocked me to the floor” during a showdown at his and Meghan’s London home in 2019. He also claimed Kate had made Meghan cry over Princess Charlotte’s flower-girl dress just days before the Sussexes’ wedding in 2018.

Gary said: “This made me see red. How dare Harry share such a confidence involving a young child?” He added that he thought Meghan was jealous of Kate because she makes her royal role “look effortless”.

The source added: “Certain people applauded the comments Gary made about Harry and Meghan so there won’t be too much resistance to him including similar sentiments in his book.”

And it is thought that any shocking issues he reveals could harm the Sussexes’ future career prospects. “If the stories in Gary’s book are revelatory, it could have a major impact on Harry and Meghan,” the source said.

However, Gary hasn’t been one to shy away from the limelight or his own lurid headlines since his niece found love in 2002 either. In a 2009 newspaper sting he was apparently caught cutting up cocaine for a prostitute at his villa in Ibiza. And it was reported the businessman had recently been rejected by ITV bosses for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as being “too much of a risk”.
