Nelson Mandela’s granddaughter ripped into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, accusing the estranged royals of “stealing” her grandfather’s famous words to “make millions.” Ndileka Mandela, 57, warned the Duke of Sussex that he needs to “stick to his own story,” adding it’s “deeply upsetting” that they quoted him and used iconic footage of the anti-apartheid activist in their Netflix show Live To Lead “without the Mandela family benefiting,” RadarOnline.com has learned.

“That’s chalk and cheese, there is no comparison,” Ndileka said in a new interview. “I know the Nelson Mandela Foundation has supported the initiative but people have stolen grandfather’s quotes for years and have used his legacy because they know his name sells – Harry and Meghan are no different from them.”

Speaking to The Australian, she urged Harry to stop piggybacking off her grandfather’s success.

“I admire Harry for having the confidence to break away from an institution as iconic as the Royal Family. Grandad rebelled against an arranged marriage to find his own path in life.

“But it comes at a price, you have to then fund your own life, I’ve made peace with people using granddad’s name but it’s still deeply upsetting and tedious every time it happens,” she continued.

“Harry needs to be authentic and stick to his own story, what relevance does grandad’s life have with his?”

Ndileka questioned whether Harry or Meghan had ever met her grandfather before his death in 2013.

“I don’t believe he nor Meghan have ever properly met granddad, maybe when Harry was young at Buckingham Palace, but they are using his quotations in the documentary to draw in people and make millions without the Mandela family benefiting,” she stated.

Her comments were in response to the release of Live To Lead, which was co-produced by the Nelson Mandela Foundation. Harry and Meghan are listed as executive producers on the project.

In the trailer, Harry said the show “was inspired by Nelson Mandela.” He also quoted Mandela, leaving his wife to finish the meaningful words.

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we’ve lived,” Harry said. Meghan then appeared on the screen to say, “It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

The Mandela-inspired program falls under Harry and Meghan’s $100 million deal with Netflix, along with the docuseries about their life after leaving the palace and their turbulent relationship with the royal family.

In her latest Daily Mail article, the blonde writer took readers down a rough ride, dropping several lightning bolts that would fry the Sussexes for years. The Arizona native did not hold back as she expressed her distaste for the Duchess’s shenanigans.

After months of uncertainty and allegedly missing the deadline to RSVP, Buckingham Palace announced Prince Harry’s participation in his father’s upcoming coronation. However, the ginger-haired royal would attend the event without his significant other.

The “SUITS” star’s decision to skip the highly-anticipated ceremony did not sit right with McCain. The Republican described the situation as that of a “whiny distant cousin” who constantly bashed the wedding preparations yet refused to attend the big day.

“After Meghan-I’m-Still-Royalty-Markle has repeatedly trashed the Royal Family, what an insult to King Charles, Prince William – and the entire population of Great Britain,” the 38-year-old declared, adding that she did not buy the Los Angeles native’s excuse for avoiding the event.

Omid Scobie, the couple’s “unofficial mouthpiece,” tweeted that the Sussexes had decided to send Harry alone so his wife could celebrate their son’s fourth birthday and Prince Archie’s big day landed on May 6, the same date as his grandfather’s coronation.

Describing the use of their son as a “gallant effort at public-relations spin,” the Columbia University alum claimed nobody would believe the camera-obsessed Duchess traded the crowning ceremony to be a good mother. The blonde columnist wrote:

“No one in their right mind believes Hollywood Meghan Markle is passing up a chance to peacock in front of the world to blow up balloons and serve cake in the backyard. They couldn’t celebrate in the U.K.? Pssst… a preschooler has no idea what country he’s in.”

Instead, the former “Outnumbered” co-host argued that Meghan was a coward who could not face the aftermath of her criticisms against the royal family. “I believe brave Meghan is chickening out. It seems to me that she is unwilling to face the music with her in-laws and the British public,” the media personality surmised.

“No matter how tone-deaf she is (and she’s pretty tone-deaf), she must be aware of how deeply unpopular she is in her husband’s home country,” McCain continued. “She would likely be booed the second the private jet’s wheels touch down.”

The “McCain Blogette” blogger insisted that the Sussexes’ interest in reconciliation was bogus. If the couple wanted to heal the “gaping wounds they’ve opened,” they would both have accepted the King’s invitation.

According to the writer, Markle’s absence was a blessing to the other royals. However, it meant Americans were stuck with the former actress. Concluding her post with a salty farewell, the Arizona native chimed:

“Meghan and the Prince of Mope have made their beds – and now they must lie in them. Their decision will hang over Harry’s trip – and it will give Americans even more reason to be disgusted by them both. No one likes an ingrate.”

Of course, now he will be able to boast that he saw Prince Harry’s wife in the shower.

Meghan decided to go on this holiday after it was recommended to her by Gabriel Macht, one her co-stars on Suits.

Meghan decided she wanted the same experience.

It seems Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are not only facing rejection from the Royal Family. For a while now, ever since King Charles revealed his cancer diagnosis, people have been rooting for Prince Harry to reconcile with the rest of the royal family. The insistence only increased when Kate Middleton announced she was battling the disease as well.

Meghan Markle is angry the royal family hasn’t ostracized Prince Andrew despite the allegations against him.

However, not only have they not made any progress in making amends, they are now getting turned away from friends from the family. Julien Macdonald, a high-end British fashion designer who is very close to senior members of the royal family, was recently asked if he would work with Meghan Markle, and the answer was a definitive no.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been almost completely shut out from the family, and even when Prince Harry returned to the United Kingdom for a visit, there was no hope of reconciliation. The younger Prince was banned from staying at Windsor Castle during his visit, and King Charles politely refused to see him.

“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” a spokesperson from Prince Harry said in a statement to PEOPLE. “The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

Markle seems to be making big moves with her brand even though it’s been called a scam by credible critics.

Reportedly, the Duke and Duchess reached out to Kensington Palace after his return to the US in an attempt to begin mending the relationship with Prince William, but once again, they were turned down.

However, the rejection they face apparently extends beyond the royal family. Julien Macdonald, a very important British fashion designer with close ties to Queen Camilla is also turning his back to them. When he was asked whether he would work with Meghan Markle, he was dismissive and said “No, I prefer Kate and Camilla.”

It’s no wonder Julien Macdonald feels animosity towards the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as he has a close relationship with senior members of the royal family. Especially Queen Camilla.

In 2006, he was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by the late Queen Elizabeth II and remains a steadfast royalist. In 2018, his friendship with Queen Camilla began. At the time Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla attended Julien Macdonald’s fashion show in support of the National Osteoporosis Society, of which she is president, and a nice relationship bloomed.

Now, the designer is hoping to use his connection to get the opportunity to dress more members of the royal family. Despite snubbing Meghan Markle, he expressed his desire to work with Kate Middleton and hinted that his friendship with Queen Camilla might make it possible.

He also claimed that the Queen reaches out for fashion advice “every now and then” and values his opinion on her outfits.

“When I see her at different events, I always say, ‘You look really nice, Camilla’, and she’ll say, ‘Do you like it? Oh, I’m glad you approve,’” he commented proudly.

Julien Macdonald is obviously valued by the royal family, and while he might get to dress the future Queen, he has no interest in working with the Duchess of Sussex.

Many people queue for hours just to catch a glimpse of the Royal Family during their perfectly choreographed engagements. 

But some lucky individuals have had chance encounters with the royals in the unlikeliest of circumstances.

Emma Dodsworth and Lisa Watkins were finishing work in Molton, North Yorkshire when they noticed a helicopter coming in to land.

They thought it might be Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise who had been filming the latest installment of his Mission Impossible franchise in the area.

The pair could hardly believe their luck when they followed the helicopter to its landing place and saw Princess Anne get out of a 4×4 that had pulled up just feet away.

The Princess had been visiting the nearby Jack Berry House, a rehabilitation centre for injured jockeys.

After taking time to have a little bit of banter with the gathered crowd, the Princess was ushered across the football field to the helicopter, which then took off.

During the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, her former bodyguard Richard Griffin revealed the monarch’s cheeky sense of humour when she pranked a group of American tourists who had no idea who they were speaking to.

He recalled that Queen Elizabeth was hiking near Balmoral when they walked past the tourists.

They failed to recognise the monarch and asked if she lived nearby, to which she said she did.

Yet when asked if she had met the Queen, the monarch playfully hit back: ‘No, but he has’, pointing to her protection officer.

Mr Griffin told Sky News: ‘The next thing I knew this guy comes around, put his arm around my shoulder and before I see what was happening he gets his camera, gives it to the Queen and says can you take a picture?

‘Anyway we swapped places and I took a picture of them with the Queen, we never let on, and we waved goodbye and Her Majesty said to me ”I’d love to be a fly on the wall when he shows that to his friends in America.’

She was pulling a life-size horse statue along a pavement near Slough as William appeared behind her.

Prince Harry revealed his sadness at having to leave Frogmore Cottage, his former royal residence at Windsor Castle.

The cottage was the first place that Harry and wife Meghan Markle lived whilst part of the royal family. The couple were gifted Frogmore Cottage in 2019 by Queen Elizabeth II, and paid for an extensive renovation independently after initially using taxpayers’ money and then repaying it.

However, their time in the five-bedroom house was short-lived as by the end of 2019 they had announced their decision to leave the royal family and vacated in 2020. The cottage was where Harry lived during the early days of his relationship with Meghan, with videos of the couple’s time there shared in their Netflix docu-series.

Writing in his memoir ‘Spare’, Harry reflected upon a meeting with Charles and William that he’d asked for after his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral. Whilst waiting for the others to arrive at Frogmore Cottage, Harry was left saddened as he realised the cottage that was going to be his ‘forever home’ wasn’t. He wrote: “Once upon a time, this was going to be my forever home. Instead it had proved to be just another brief stop.”

In Harry’s book, he later claimed that he and Meghan were ‘evicted’ from the cottage after their decision to leave the royal family. Back in March 2023, it was revealed King Charles had asked Meghan and Harry to vacate Frogmore Cottage. A source told The Standard at the time: “The Sussex’s are no longer leasing Frogmore Cottage. That privilege has been removed. It’s over for them in the UK. If they want a residence in the UK they will have to buy one privately.”

However it wasn’t until June 2023 that Meghan and Harry finally handed back the keys to Frogmore Cottage. The couple’s remaining possessions were shipped to California with courtier Sir Michael Stevens saying at the time: ” We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vacated Frogmore Cottage.” This is also the date that Prince Harry lists as officially starting his US residency.

When the King issued Harry and Meghan with an eviction notice, it was reported he was drawing up a “range of options” of accommodation for his brother Prince Andrew to move to. Prince Andrew was asked to leave his Royal Lodge mansion following his friendship with disgraced paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

A source said Charles told Harry and Meghan he wanted them out to “allow someone else to move in”, with speculation stating that it was thought Andrew would take it over. Frogmore Cottage was initially taken over by Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank in November 2020. However they later moved to another royal residence, leaving the property vacant.

He was schooled in some of the finest institutions including Eton. So when it comes to his kids’ education, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ‘sticking to Royal Family tradition.’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are determined to uphold ‘royal’ family tradition when it comes to schooling their children Archie and Lilibet, according to a royal expert.

Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took a step back from royal life to live a somewhat ‘normal’ life in Montecito, California, it seems there are some traditions from Harry’s privileged upbringing in England the couple aren’t ready to give up.

According to royal author Tom Quinn, going to the best schools is a non-negotiable when it comes to Archie and Lilibet. In an exclusive chat with The Mirror, Quinn said: “Meghan has always been determined that her children should grow up with a very good relationship with their mother Doria so it’s no surprise that Doria is the live-in nanny.”

The royal expert continued: “One of Meghan‘s difficulties when she was a working royal living in the UK was her lack of experience of dealing with staff so in Montecito she has kept paid staff to an absolute minimum, but if she’s avoiding the Royal tradition of paying people to do the childcare, she’s certainly sticking to the Royal tradition of sending children to elite schools.”

He revealed: “Lily is lined up for $60,000 a year private school. Early on there were rumours that Meghan and Harry might send their children to a local state school but that was never really on the cards. It made it look as if the couple were trying to be as ordinary as possible but no one was fooled. Apart from anything else, Harry wouldn’t countenance risking his children being educated in anything other than in an elite environment. Choosing an elite school is very much in the royal family tradition.”

Meanwhile, it has been reported Harry and Meghan have already started their hunt for the ideal school to send their children to. Only the best will do for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who are said to be going all out to ensure only the best for their tots.

A local journalist has taken a look inside the $60k a year Montecito school where Harry and Meghan could send Archie and Lilibet. Richard Mineards from the Montecito Journal claimed that the couple have been considering local school options – as Archie will be reaching his milestone 5th birthday next week.

He said: “Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are eyeing entering their two children, Archie and Lilibet, at a local private school, I can exclusively reveal. The Riven Rock twosome were spotted inspecting an institution’s campus last week, bringing them one-step closer to a decision.”

He added: “School fees in our area range from $60,000 to $50,000 plus for older grades, with most of the institutions having 100 per cent of students going on to attend four-year colleges.”
