, his sister was born over a year later, in June 2021, and it’s made a world of difference. Although Lilibet was fortunate enough to meet her great-grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, before her death in September 2022, her parents’ ongoing feud with the royal family has significantly decreased her ability to mingle with her royal relatives on the other side of the pond, including her similarly aged cousins.

For example, Prince Archie was able to enjoy several royal milestones before his parents severed ties with the Firm, including posing for royal photographs during his Christening and even meeting Kate Middleton and Prince William’s kids a couple of times. But Lilibet has walked a different path.

Queen Elizabeth even refused to sit for a photograph with the princess and her family at their first meeting during the Platinum Jubilee in 2022. The late monarch blamed her decision on a bloodshot eye, despite Prince Harry’s push for the special moment. In reality, the late queen was reportedly not feeling the Sussexes’ public lashings of the royals.

 

Unfortunately, this isn’t the only time Lilibet has gotten the short end of the stick.

While no one would mistake Prince Archie and his cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as best friends at this stage of life, the prince actually got to mingle with Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children before their parents’ issues interrupted their chance to form sound foundations.

Princess Lilibet, on the other hand, has had fewer chances to get close to her cousins. Although William and Kate congratulated her parents on her birth in a statement, they, along with King Charles III and Queen Camilla, rebuffed the invitation to attend her Christening, which took place in March 2023. Of course, William and Kate’s kids were also no-shows at Lilibet’s Christening.

The decision not to attend came nearly a year after Us Weekly reported that William and Kate didn’t exactly welcome Lilibet into the royal fold when she and her family attended Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. “William and Kate made no effort at all to introduce Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to [Lili],” shared royal author Christopher Andersen with the publication in June 2022. He continued, “As far as I know, nobody believes they spoke [to one another] during the celebrations.” Worse, the Jubilee took place one day after the royals chose not to attend Lilibet’s first birthday party, which Harry and Meghan threw at Frogmore Cottage in the U.K.

Victoria Beckham has shared a rare look into her family life alongside her look-alike siblings as fans couldn’t help but joke about her iconic moment.

The Spice Girl, 50, is keen on posting updates with her football star husband David Beckham and their four children – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. However, she typically keeps her parents and siblings away from the spotlight. Victoria decided to make a rare post to celebrate Father’s Day over the weekend.

She looked gorgeous as she smiled alongside her parents Jackie and Anthony, younger sister Louise, 40, and her brother Christian. The fashion designer wore all black as she stunned in a shirt and pair of jeans. Louise echoed her sister’s style as she wore blue jeans with a black jumper.

Christian looked smart in the snap in a black shirt paired with grey trousers. Victoria also shared a photo of her hugging her dad while at a family meal and another with her arm wrapped around her father and husband David. Captioning the post, Victoria said: “Daddy I love you so much xxxx happy Father’s Day @jackie.adams_ @davidbeckham @louisesadams @christianadams_79.”

Posh Spice opened up on her childhood in the couple’s Netflix documentary – Beckham – last year. However, she was ribbed by David and viewers as she pretended to be ‘working class’. When David urged her to tell the truth about what car her dad drove her to school in, she eventually caved and admitted: “OK. In the Eighties, my dad has a Rolls Royce” as David said: “Thank you!” and left the room.

Fans took note of the moment as they commented under Victoria’s post marking Father’s Day. One said: “He had a Rolls Royce!!” Another added: “Happy Father’s Day to the gentleman who drove a Rolls Royce.” Someone else quipped: “That’s the poor guy with the Rolls Royce.” A fourth joked: “Me for one hope your Dad still got a Rolls Royce good luck to him.”

Last month, Victoria shared another photo with her dad Anthony to mark his birthday as fans couldn’t believe how similar she looked to her sister. She shared a series of photos from their family celebrations as she was joined by 12-year-old daughter Harper and 21-year-old son Romeo. The fashion designer stood alongside her dad and mum Jackie as they beamed in front of a birthday cake.

Victoria looked gorgeous in a pair of white jeans and a navy T-shirt, while son Romeo wrapped his arms around his mum and grandma. Prince William is “sensitive” and was hurt by his rift with Prince Harry “more than he’d like to admit” – but there was one key reason he found it “easier” to cut ties with his younger brother, a royal expert has claimed.

Once upon a time, William and Harry were inseparable but it is believed the chasm between them has widened so much in recent years that a reconciliation seems unlikely. Since his departure from the Royal family, Harry, along with his wife Meghan Markle, have been vocal critics of the monarchy; their criticisms have been aired in their notorious Oprah interview, their Netflix series, various interviews, and in his memoir, Spare. Their constant revelations have strained William’s relationship with Harry – and one Royal expert suggests there’s a personal reason why the future King decided to “cut ties” with his younger sibling.

Ingrid Seward highlighted the significance of stability in William’s life as she told the Mirror: “William is sensitive, he likes structure and has perseverance. He does not give up easily. His relationship with brother Harry upset him more than he would care to admit. But he found it easier to cut ties rather than allow himself to be continually annoyed.”

Reflecting on William’s challenging year, Ingrid added: “His father got cancer and Kate had a serious abdominal operation. Later to announce she too had to have cancer treatment. William played both mother and father to the children while he carried on with his royal duties supporting the Queen in his father’s absence. The traumas of the past year have made him a stronger person. He has become the kind of man Diana always hoped he would be. Kind considerate and able to take on whatever life throws at him.”

It’s believed that The Prince of Wales has severed ties with his younger sibling, and it remains unclear when they last met. During his January 2023 interview on ’60 Minutes’, Harry was asked if he “speaks to William now? Do you text?” to which he responded: “Currently, no. But I look forward to… I look forward to us being able to find peace.”

When probed about the duration since their last communication, Harry admitted it had been “a while.” Harry also disclosed that it’s been quite some time since he spoke to his father, saying, “We haven’t spoken for quite a while. No, not recently.” Yet, he expressed hope for reconciliation: “But at the heart of it, there is a family, without question. And I really look forward to having that family element back. I look forward to having a relationship with my brother.”

He added: “I look forward to having a relationship with my father and other members of my family. My brother and I love each other. I love him deeply. There has been a lot of pain between the two of us, especially the last six years.”

Prince Harry was last in the UK for the Invictus Games’ 10th anniversary in May but didn’t catch up with his father. While citing King Charles’s ‘full schedule’ as the reason, doubts were cast when it emerged that Charles had extended an offer of Royal lodgings to Harry, which he turned down. The last time the father and son duo were together was in February, when Harry jetted off to London for a brief 45-minute encounter with King Charles amidst the monarch’s battle with cancer.

Despite the strained relations, it appears that Charles is eager to forge a bond with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. Royal commentator and author Tom Quinn has revealed that the King is pushing Harry to establish a UK base to allow for more meaningful family interactions. Yet, Tom is sceptical about Meghan joining her husband back in the UK, considering her previous experiences with the Royal Family.

Tom said: “King Charles has been putting pressure on Harry to do just this as he is angry that his only relationship with his grandchildren so far is via video calls, which Charles hates. William and Kate’s children would spend the weekend at Highgrove and Harry’s children could then easily pop over from their house nearby.”

Victoria Beckham is said to be “livid” about the release of Tom Bower’s explosive new book, which is based on her marriage to David Beckham.

The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power, written by the investigative biographer, includes many so-called events about their relationship through extensive research, expert sourcing and interviews with insiders.

With the book’s imminent release being just weeks before their 25th wedding anniversary next month, 50-year-old Victoria is said to unhappy with the timing and how it might portray the pair.

A source told Closer Magazine: “Victoria is livid about the upcoming book, because what was supposed to be a landmark date for them is instead going to be reliving the hell that almost broke her.

“Instead of being able to celebrate their marriage and the ups and downs of their journey and the love and life they have built together, it’s all coming under attack.” The Spice Girl is also reportedly “worried” about the book being set up to “bring down” their image and portray them as “work and money obsessed people”.

As part of the many claims in the book, serialised in The Mirror, Tom writes that the pair barely spoke at one point during their marriage and claims they lived effectively separate lives between. He goes on to say that the rough patch happened around eight years ago which led their relationship to become “a distant business” one.

The author additionally claims that their respective PR teams were “fed negative stories” about each other and that David even accused his wife and her publicist of “waging a media war” against him.

Despite these apparent challenges, the pair reportedly remained united for their brand, especially after surviving the turmoil caused by Rebecca Loos’ alleged affair allegations, which David has strongly denied.

According to Bower, serious rifts began to emerge in 2016 when the pair spent significant time apart, with David in Miami and Victoria in London. A year later, he claims that David’s trip to Glastonbury Festival didn’t go to plan when Victoria made an appearance.

Initially, David and a small group of friends, including his best mate Dave Gardner, Lady Mary Charteris and a “glamorous Australian bikini model”, attended the British festival without Victoria, who was due to arrive later from New York.

The group reportedly partied until 5am the night before Victoria’s arrival and according to Tom, one of the group members said: “There was no hassle and a great mood until she landed.”

An eyewitness reportedly said: “With her entourage she headed in a golf buggy through the scruffy campers to the VIP zone. She was furious that her husband had failed to reply to her telephone calls and had dispatched a search party.

“Eventually, David appeared. Within seconds, they were embroiled in a ferocious argument. ‘They looked quite miserable, but they managed to pose for the cameras’.”

The book comes following the release of David’s self-titled Netflix documentary, in which his wife opened up about the great difficulty they faced in their marriage when he was accused of infidelity.

Speaking in his Netflix documentary, she shared: “Up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other either.

“And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.”

David has since said that when the pair watched the documentary back, they questioned how they got through such troubles.

He said on the SmartLess podcast: “After everything was over and we watched it finally, that’s the one thing that we looked at each other and was like, ‘I don’t know how we got through the last 27 years, but we did and we have an amazing family, amazing business and we’re happy’.

“And yeah, of course, when you’re with someone for that amount of time, of course you have your ups and downs, everybody knows that and at the end of the day we were lucky because we had each other at those moments.”

The Queen wore an embroidered cream silk crepe dress by Fiona Clare, one of her go-to designers, which she complemented with silver heels and a matching clutch. Adding sparkle to her outfit, she wore a diamond necklace and a coordinated set of ruby and diamond earrings, as well as a bracelet.

For the first time, Camilla sported the new Family Order on her left shoulder, along with the late Queen’s. The Family Order is a badge worn by female members of the Royal Family, though last night Her Majesty was the only one to wear the new badge.

“She is furious about Rebecca signing up for Celebrity SAS, and she’s terrified about what she’s going to say now she’s back on the showbiz circuit,” a source told Heat Magazine. “Vic really thought she had put all of that behind her, but she feels Rebecca is still determined to try and ruin them.

“She can’t help but blame David for all of this – first of all for getting involved in the first place, and then for how he handled it in his Netflix documentary last year. David has told Victoria not to let it bother her, but while Victoria knows Rebecca no longer poses any threat to her marriage, she’s terrified about what she’s going to say next.”

In Bower’s book, it’s revealed for the first time that Rebecca allegedly decided to speak out about their alleged affair after being appalled by David’s treatment of a waitress in Madrid. Bower claims David supposedly refusing to give a tip – then later handing over a wad of cash – was the “turning point for Loos realising Beckham’s double standards.”

Rebecca gave several follow-up interviews after her initial explosive chat. In a sit down with Sky, she claimed her chemistry with David had been off the charts and that they shared the same sense of humour. Addressing his marriage, she said it appeared David missed his wife and was ‘lonely’ in Spain, and Rebecca insisted she had no intention of breaking up their marriage.

Asked about her thoughts on Victoria, she had one demand – no sympathy please. “I don’t expect any sympathy from her whatsoever,” she said. “I think it’s bad enough for me to do what I have done without me expecting any words of sympathy.

“I really hope that they get through it. I think the problems were in their marriage long before I came into the picture. I in no way intended to break up their marriage especially when there are young children involved. I hope they stay together.”

Prince Harry painfully admitted he didn’t cry when he was told of his mother Princess Diana’s death.

The 36-year-old, who was given the unofficial title of the People’s Princess, passed away in August 1997 following a terrifying car crash in Paris.

The crash happened early in the morning on August 31, and Diana was pronounced dead at around 4am, with her passing confirmed by the then Foreign Secretary Robin Cook. Harry recalled the moment he and big brother Prince William were told about their mother’s unexpected death in his memoir Spare, and revealed their father Charles struggled to deliver the news while at the royal residence in Balmoral.

However, the young prince confessed he didn’t cry when his father told him of Diana’s death, and was left feeling emotionless as Charles failed to hug him or William. “What I do remember with startling clarity is that I didn’t cry. Not one tear. Pa didn’t hug me. He wasn’t great at showing emotions under normal circumstances, how could he be expected to show them in such a crisis? But his hand did fall once more on my knee and he said: ‘Its going to be OK,’” Harry wrote.

Looking back on the moment, Harry revealed that his father’s words were “so very untrue”, and said that Charles had told William, who was just 15, about Diana’s death first, and then sought out Harry to deliver the tragic and heartbreaking news. He described the moment he found out in painful detail, as he admitted he didn’t move from his bed for what seemed like hours. After Charles told him Diana had died, he “didn’t get up, I didn’t bathe, didn’t pee,” Harry recalled, and said he didn’t even call for his big brother to come and console him.

In an interview last year, the Duke of Sussex revealed he and William were unable to show emotion as they met with the crowds outside Kensington Palace the the days after Diana’s death. He told ITV’s Tom Bradby he had cried when his mother was buried, but did not cry again. “I cried once, at the burial, and you know I go into detail (in Spare) about how strange it was and how actually there was some guilt that I felt, and I think William felt as well, by walking around the outside of Kensington Palace,” he explained.

“There were 50,000 bouquets of flowers to our mother and there we were shaking people’s hands, smiling… And the wet hands that we were shaking, we couldn’t understand why their hands were wet, but it was all the tears that they were wiping away,” Harry sadly recalled.

Meghan Markle has been criticised by a celebrity biographer for thinking she held a higher social status than Victoria Beckham.

The statement has been made in Tom Bower’s new book titled The House of Beckham, which also says the Duchess of Sussex was “irritated” to discover the couple had more money than her.

Bower brands the former Suits star as “deluded” for her thoughts as he opened up on the Sussexes and Beckhams’ broken relationship. The two couples had previously been linked as pals, but Bower said Meghan’s thought she had little in common with the former Spice Girl.

He wrote: “In Meghan’s celebrity world, ranking depended on wealth and fame. As a seasoned operator, Meghan deluded herself that her status in the Royal family placed her above Victoria in the social pecking order.”

He continued: “She was irritated to discover that the Beckhams had considerably more wealth than herself. They owned five homes, had constant access to private jets, invitations to sail on yachts and much more money. And she was soon to be a duchess.”

Despite her thoughts, it’s believed Meghan tried to make the pairing work due to husband Prince Harry’s connection with the famous couple. It’s not the first time Meghan has been branded deluded. Last year, royal expert Jennie Bond told OK! the Sussexes had a deluded idea of their social status. Speaking to the magazine, Bond said it was after it was alleged they had wanted to return to the US on Air Force One following Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral – a request that’s said to have been snubbed.

Bond said: “Firstly, they have a very grandiose and deluded idea of their status on the world stage. And, secondly, they are impervious to the sensitivities of the situation they have created by stepping back as working Royals and then firing volleys of allegations at the royal family from their Californian haven.”

She also slammed the couple as “insensitive” for putting President Biden “in a very awkward position” with a request in the first place.

The investigative journalist’s new book, The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power, which has been serialised by the Mirror before its release on June 20, takes a deep dive into the relationship of one of the most influential couples in the world, including what Victoria was like behind closed doors.

The mum-of-four, 50, has known Geri, 51, since the nineties when they shot to fame as Posh and Ginger Spice in the best-selling girl band. However, in recent years there’s been rumours of a rift between the pair, highlighted when Geri unfollowed Victoria and David earlier this year amid her husband, Christian’s work conduct allegations at Red Bull.

Speaking about their relationship during the Spice Girls’ fame, Bower claims everyone loved [David] Beckham, but “Victoria was different” adding: “Increasingly, she was outspoken and provoked retaliation.” He continues: “‘I can’t stand Geri,’ she said about her former best friend. ‘She is one of the most disloyal people I’ve ever known.’”

The book also claims the fashion designer mocked Geri for dating DJ Chris Evans, who she was in a relationship with in 1999. Bower claims: “Twisting the knife, she even scoffed at Geri for going out with DJ Chris Evans. ‘She’ll do anything to get publicity. Geri doesn’t care what she does as long as she gets in the paper.’”

It wouldn’t be the first time the Spice Girls have been accused of falling out. Back in 2002, Mel B claimed in her autobiography that she and Geri used to argue like lovers.

Meanwhile, Melanie ‘Mel C’ Chisholm was also involved in her own spat, writing in her memoir that Geri once got “clocked in the face” while trying to “keep the peace” during a fight between the two Mels.

In her second memoir, Mel B also revealed that she and Victoria fell out in the ’90s when, during a group holiday to Hawaii, Posh saw Mel B’s holiday fling pooing on the beach and called him “disgusting”.

In February, it was also reported by MailOnline that Geri had unfollowed Victoria on Instagram, however, Geri did celebrate her 50th birthday in April, although her husband Christian did not attend. Geri has been married to millionaire formula one Team Principal and CEO Christian Horner, 50, since 2015 and they share a son together. But as the mum-of-two stepped out of her limo – in trademark pristine white – to join Victoria at her party, Christian was nowhere to be seen.

However, it seems the F1 boss was forced to miss out on the fun due to work commitments – as the Chinese F1 was in full swing and he needed to attend.

David Beckham’s relationships with royal brothers Prince William and Prince Harry is explored in a juicy new book about the retired footballer.

The House of Beckham by Tom Bower, serialised by the Mirror over the weekend, David’s romance with wife Victoria Beckham is put under the spotlight, with new details of the ups and downs of their decades-long marriage revealed.

But the new book makes claims about Posh and Becks’ relationship with the royal family, in particular their crumbling union with Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

The former England captain, 49, and Posh Spice, 50, attended both William’s 2011 wedding to Kate Middleton and Harry and Meghan’s nuptials in 2018. However, according to The House of Beckham, David’s friendship with both brothers rubbed Meghan up the wrong way.

In his book, Bower writes how ahead of their wedding, Meghan and Harry were miffed by David’s chummy relationship with William, which had been going strong since the UK’s World Cup bid in 2010. The Duke of Duchess of Sussex, already grumbling about their perceived lesser status and wealth compared to the Cambridges, found the sight of Becks hobnobbing with William irksome.

“Meghan appeared to want to punish the Beckhams,” Bower writes. “Television pictures of the couple arriving at St George’s Chapel for the wedding showed Victoria stony-faced and David chewing gum. Meghan had not invited them to the wedding dinner. Her veto was an insult.”

He continues: “After all, many guests such as George Clooney and other Hollywood stars invited that evening did not even know Meghan. Victoria’s sour expression also reflected her anger about David’s behaviour at a Soho House party the previous night. He had been buying drinks for a brunette while Victoria sat silently thunderous nearby. Worse still, that very morning the woman had posted photos of herself and Beckham on the web.”

Post-wedding ceremony, the Beckhams bumped into King Charles at the sun-drenched reception in the garden. Charles and David first met two decades ago at the Old Trafford football stadium. As he was leaving, Charles had quipped to his aide, ‘Why do these people never wear socks?’

That afternoon, Charles ran into a member of the People’s Royalty who was, indeed, wearing socks. Moving on, Beckham extended his congratulations to Harry. During their chat, the Prince invited Beckham to join him in Sydney come October. For the Invictus Games, a competition for injured servicemen, he was quick to say yes. His team were given the job of finding a sponsor to cover his travel costs. He intended to bring along Victoria and their four children, according to The House of Beckham.

Later in the book, Bower writes how David did attend the games but “found himself alone at the Invictus Games stadium” and kept away from the Duke of Sussex, unaware that Harry “had ordered that under no circumstances was the footballer to be allowed near him.”

The Mirror has approached representatives for both the Beckhams and the Sussexes for comment on this story.
